Ritviks / or Prabhupadanugas / or Srila Prabhupada disciples

KPG: Thank you devotees for all your kind wishes. I hope that I can become more enthusiastic in my devotional service to Srila Prabhupada and Lord Kṛṣṇa. Especially, I really want to distribute more original Srila Prabhupada books. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

[PADA: Yep. The process is sometimes called ritviks, or Prabhupadanugas, or Srila Prabhupada disciples, or whatever it is called here and there, but its -- more and more self evident - that MANY more people (as time goes by) want to: (A) Serve Srila Prabhupada (and not the GBC's hokey messiah wanna be's); (B) Distribute Srila Prabhupada's ORIGINAL books (and not hokey changed books and / or books written by hokey messiahs); And (C) say "all glories to Srila Prabhupada" (and not "all glories to hokey messiahs"). Hmmm, maybe us cranky dissenters have been onto something all along here? Yup! That is what we said all along. Heh heh heh. ys pd]

Higher Class Persons Won't Be Attracted (by AKD)

AKD: Thank you so much dear PADA Prabhu. Over the next years, I will strengthen my practical realizations of working in Krishna consciousness in the outside world. I want to practice, practice, practice, and practice for many years before I preach to others on the public platforms. Then I may open websites and write a book on "Working in Krishna consciousness."

I can show to the non devotees / even devotees themselves, that in Kali-yuga all the professions / situations / surroundings will be very tough, challenging, risky, unfair, and fraught with all sorts of danger, but just as Sri Arjuna could become perfectly Krishna conscious in the middle of ghastly warfare, we all can also become perfectly Krishna conscious in any condition. No matter what profession or condition of life Krishna has placed us, just hear the messages of Bhagavad-Gita & Srimad Bhagavatam on a daily basis in a humble and submissive way, chant the Holy names, and work hard on behalf of the Lord.

Preaching others is the job of qualified devotees with real Brahmana qualifications and I don't have Brahmanical qualifications. I have got more a Kshatriya mindset. I have observed when we ask regular people on the street to chant the Hare Krishna mahamantra with us, very few mature, intelligent and genuine souls are interested. Instead, many persons who are already suffering from some sort of inability to provide for themselves, or mental dysfunction, emotional trauma, or just plain lazy & insincere fellows are easily interested and mesmerized.

Many persons think that they can hide behind this nice philosophy and use it to mask their emotional problems & lethargic mentality, and exploit the religion for self interested reasons. They are thinking, "Oh! wow, this is fun, just chant, eat, do nothing, and feel good about yourself." Unfortunately, when the masses see all these unqualified, disturbed & lazy fellows chanting Hare Krishna maha mantra, and they are still doing all sorts of nonsense, the masses are unable to believe in the most perfect path of Krishna consciousness. Krishna consciousness is meant for the intelligent class of people.

Therefore, the intelligent class, scholarly class, brahmana minded class, and leaders of this world, they are not going to become devotees, because devotees have to become the mature and pure minded leaders of this world. How glorious would it be to see Vaisnavas as Presidents, Prime-ministers, IT managers, top physicians, top lawyers, top musicians, business tycoons, software developers, sportsmen, musicians, etc. in every country. That will not happen, except maybe in small scale or very rare cases, with the current program of exploiting, mis-managing and mis-representing the religion, and attracting like minded exploiters of that mission.

[PADA: Yes, that is a good realization. Many "low class" people become artificial gurus and leaders. And then they attract same or worse as their followers, and then the whole process goes into exploiting, bad management and bad publicity. And this gives God and religion a bad name.

And right now the Krishna religion looks very bad because the management has been bad, and this is known to the public media even. And the compromised followers for the most part acquiesced and allowed the bad managers to hi-jack the religion, or at least without much protest. So the whole thing deteriorates and this makes it harder for us to try to pick up the pieces. This also happened in the post-1936 Gaudiya Matha, there were guru scandals, sexual predator swamis, dissenters beaten and murdered, bad media coverage, lawsuits, edited books, and so on, and that also severely hampered their mission.

Of course that was their plan all along; To drive out and remove most of the devotees; To hamper, stop or remove the samkirtana and book distribution personnel; To then make a showing of the deity business for the Hindus in the left over buildings. Srila Prabhupada said -- that was all the Gaudiya Matha had, a showing of the deity business.

And the ISKCON leaders simply followed that model example and attempted the same deity showing business process. Unfortunately, those engaged in this guru business are "destined for the most obnoxious regions of the universe." It seems to paying them well in this life, but the pay, or really payback, is absolutely horrendous in the next.

Jayate! ys pd]

SVAPNA-VILASAMRTA by Srila Vishwanath Chakravarty Thakur

SVAPNA-VILASAMRTA by Srila Vishwanath Chakravarty Thakur

The Nectarean Pastime Dream

By
Srila Visvanatha Cakravarti Thakura

TEXT 1

priya svapne drsta saridina sutevatra pulinam
yatha vrndaranye natana-patavas tatra bahavah
mrdangadyam vadyam vividham iha kascid dvija-manih
sa vidyud gaurangah ksipati jagatim prema-jaladhau

Radha says: Oh dear Krsna, please listen to Me. I’ve just had an amazing dream. I saw a river flowing with sparkling waters and sandy banks just like our Yamuna. There were many people who were expertly dancing just as in Vrndavana. The air was filled with the sound of drums and cymbals, just as it is here. And there was a brahmana, the jewel of the twice-born, who was exceedingly effulgent with a golden complexion. He was submerging the whole world in an ocean of ecstatic love.

PURPORT

Among so many verses based on the mode of goodness, these nine stanzas entitled Svapna-vilasamrta indicate the transcendental conclusion regarding Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s pastime of descending into this world. Srila Rupa Gosvami has written one verse in his notes:

radha -Krsna -pranaya-vikrtir hladini-saktir asmad
ekatmanav api bhuvi pura deha-bhedam gatau tau
caitanyakhyam prakatam adhuna tad-dvayam caikyam aptam
radha-bhava-dyuti-suvalitam naumi Krsna-svarupam

"Sri Radha is Krsna transformed by intimate love, as well as the pleasure potency of the Lord. They are therefore both of one body, but in the past They accepted separate bodies. Manifested as Sri Caitanya, those two have now united as one. I offer my humble obeisances to Lord Caitanya, who is that very same Krsna endowed with the mood and luster of Sri Radha."

This verse raises many doubts. If it is said that being one, Radha and Krsna attained two separate bodies, before that, what was in the one body? If it was Krsna’s essence, Radha’s essence could not have been present. The answer is that They are both one Self, but in a transcendental manner. They are manifested as two bodies for performing Their pastimes. This statement establishes the nature of the identity of Radha and Krsna. Of course, someone might say that if Radha and Krsna are presently manifested as Sri Caitanya, before that, Sri Caitanya did not exist.

And if it is explained that sometimes Lord Caitanya is in the form of Radha-Krsna and sometimes Radha-Krsna are in the form of Lord Caitanya, all such explanations are doubtful. This only destroys the eternality of the form and pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In the Maha-Varaha Purana it is written:

sarve nityah sasvatas ca
dehas tasya paratmanah
hanopadana-rahita
naiva prakrtijah kvacit
paramananda-sandoha
jnana-matras ca sarvasah

"All the bodies of the Supreme Lord are eternal and everlasting. They are never subject to material destruction nor born of matter. They are the embodiment of supreme bliss and are completely transcendental."

On the basis of this scriptural evidence the eternal nature of the Supreme Personality of Godhead’s form is firmly established and the bad logic of the Mayavadis is defeated.

TEXT 2

kadacit krsneti pralapati rudan karhicid asau
kva radhe ha heti svasiti patati projjhati dhrtim
nataty ullasena kvacid api ganaih svaih pranayibhis
trnadi-brahmantam jagad-atitaram rodayati sah

Sometimes He would call out "Krsna! Krsna!" At other times He would cry out, "Oh Radha, where are You?" Sighing deeply and falling on the ground, He would lose all composure. Sometimes He would also dance ecstatically with His affectionate associates and thereby cause the whole world, from the lowest blade of grass up to the creator Brahma, to cry.

TEXT 3

tato buddhir bhranta mama samajani preksya kim aho
bhavet so ‘yam kantah kim ayam evasmi na parah
aha cet kva preyan mama sa kila cet kvaham iti me
bhramo bhuyo bhuyan abhavad atha nidram gatavati

Upon seeing this wonder, oh how My intelligence became bewildered! I thought, "Could He be My lover Krsna? Or is He my own Self? If He is Me, then where is My dearest Krsna? If He is Krsna, where am I?"In this way, I was becoming more and more bewildered until I fell into deep slumber.

TEXT 4

priye drstva tas tah kutukini maya darsita-cari
ramesadya murtir na khalu bhavati vismayam agat
katham vipro vismapayatum asakat tvam tava katham
tatha bhrantim dhatte sa hi bhavati ko hanta kim idam

Krsna says: "Dear Radha, struck with wonder, previously I showed you My form as Narayana as Ramacandra and other incarnations, but that did not astonish You. How has that brahmana managed to bewilder You, and what is the nature of that bewilderment? O, who is He and what is this all about?

PURPORT

Once while enjoying some intimate moments, Radha said to Krsna, "Because of their unsteadiness, men cannot understand the happiness and other experiences of loving pastimes the way women can, and men cannot understand the inner feelings of women." Then Krsna said, "I will always be able to understand Your inner feelings by one special form of Mine." To this Radha said, "Your talking lies!" Again Krsna said, "No I am speaking the truth." Radha said, "Then show Me that form." That is why Mahaprabhu appeared to Her in a dream.

TEXT 5

iti procya prestham ksanam atha paramrsya ramano
hasann akuta-jnam vyanudad atha tam kaustubha-manim
tatha diptim tene sapadi sa yatha drstim iti tad
vilasanam laksmam sthira-cara-ganaih sarvam abhavat

Having spoken to His beloved Radha, Krsna thought for a while and chuckled. At that moment, the Kaustubha gem, knowing the meaning behind all this, began to shine. As soon as it did so, all the details of the dream, as well as all the features of that pastime, were completely revealed.

PURPORT

In the Srimad Bhagavatam it is stated:

kaustubha-vyapadesena
svatma-jyotir bibharty ajah

Sridhara Gosvami explains this verse as follows. "The Kaustubha gem’s real identity is the pure consciousness of the living entity. That is the particular opulence of the Kaustubha gem which the Lord wears."

As soon as Radha saw the dream vision exposed, She said, "Aha! As I am outstanding in the dealings of intimate love, so is Krsna’s cleverness immeasurable!" She thought about all this for a moment and then spoke.

TEXT 6

vibhavyatha proce priyatama maya jnatam akhilam
tavakutam yat tvam smitam atanuthas tattvam asi mam
sphutam yan navadir yad abhimatir atrapy aham iti
sphuranti me tasmad aham api sa evety anumime

Perceiving everything clearly, Radha said, "Oh dearest Krsna, I am completely aware of why You were just laughing. You are that golden brahmana. I also know why You didn’t explain anything to Me. I am also that brahmana. These things were revealed to Me by the glimmer of Your Kaustubha gem and therefore I believe them.

TEXT 7

yad apy asmakinam rati-padam idam kaustubha-manim
pradipyatraivadidrsad akhila-jivan api bhavan
sva-saktyavirbhuya svam akhila-vilasam pratijanam
nigadya premabdhau punar api tadadhasyasi jagat

By lighting up Your Kaustubha jewel, which is the medium for all souls sharing affection with You, You thereby show many projected visions to all souls again and again. This is how it seems that You have manifested Your incarnations along with all Your energies, thus presenting an exhibition of Yourself and all Your pastimes before each and every soul. In this way, You drown the entire universe in the ocean of ecstatic love.

TEXT 8

yad uktam gargena vraja-pati-samaksam sruti vida
bhavet pito varnah kvacid api tavaitan na hi mrsa
atah svapnah satyo mama ca na tada bhrantir abhavat
tvam evasau saksad iha yad anubhuto ‘si tad rtam

At the time of Your name-giving ceremony, Gargamuni, who is learned in the Vedas, said in the presence of Your father Nanda Maharaja: "At some time your son will appear with a yellowish complexion. There is no doubt about it." Therefore My dream is true, and not a delusion. You are that very same person. The vision I had is real.

TEXT 9

pibet yasya svapnamrtam idam aho citta-madhupah
sa sandeha-svapnat tvaritam iha jagarti su-matih
avaptas caitanyam pranaya-jaladhau khelati yato
bhrsam dhatte tasminn atula-karunam kunja-nrpatau

Whosoever’s honeybee-mind drinks the nectar of this pastime dream, oh! That wise person will awaken from the dream of doubt in this regards (concerning the actual identity of Lord Caitanya). After attaining Lord Caitanya, he will sport in the ocean of confidential love. Thereafter he will become the lucky recipient of the unequalled mercy of Lord Sri Krsna, the king of the bowers of Vrndavana.

PURPORT

In the ninth chapter of the Kapila-tantra it is stated: Once Radha said to Krsna, ‘My dear, listen to what I say. I wish to have oneness of essence with You, My dear Lord. Please manifest a form united with My mood, a supreme form giving joy to the heart, situated within both of Us, revelling in auspicious pastimes and endowed with the mellow of ecstatic love."

Hearing these words of His beloved, which were indicative of the topmost love, Lord Krsna the guru of the world, by His own will eagerly manifested that form as described by Radha. By means of prema (pure love) and acintya-sakti (inconceivable energy), Sri Krsna manifested a form endowed with the effulgent mood of Radha. Thus the unborn Lord Krsna’s essence achieved a twofold condition: inside—Krsna, outside—Gaura. Of the two, Lord Gauranga is absorbed in devotional service. He has achieved the ecstasy of pure love of god, is without any limiting material adjuncts and is Lord Sri Krsna Himself.

What is Full Time / Part Time / or Congregation Devotee?

AKD: What is the meaning of a full time devotee? Anyone who is even casually reading Srila Prabhupada books will not speak like this -- "being congregation is better than full time..? Have you ever lived a full time devotee's life? Ever experienced?"

In which scripture you'll not find these words -- "Full time", "Part-Time" or "Congregational devotee." These are foolish labels. There is nothing like a "full time" or "part time" in the dictionary of a devotee. Full time devotee doesn't mean to live inside a temple. This is the meaning of a full time devotee:-

iha yasya harer dasye karmana manasa gira nikhilasv apy avasthasu jivan-muktah sa ucyate

“A person acting in the service of Krishna with his body, mind, and words is a liberated person even in the material world, although he may be engaged in many so-called material activities.” (Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu 1.2.187)

"Though engaged in all kinds of activities, My devotee, under My protection, reaches the eternal and imperishable abode by My grace. In all activities just depend upon Me and work always under My protection. In such devotional service, be fully conscious of Me. " (BG 18.56-57)

"The material position of a devotee doesn’t matter because devotional service is not dependent on material considerations. In his earlier life, Srila Rupa Goswami was a government officer and a grihastha. He was not even a brahmachari or sannyasi. He associated with mlecchas and yavanas, but because he was always eager to serve, he was a qualified recipient for the Lord’s mercy. A sincere devotee can therefore be empowered by the Lord regardless of his situation.” (Sri Caitanya-Caritamrta, Madhya-lila 19.135, purport)

“Because the real purpose of working is to satisfy Krsna. He is the center. He is the center of all activities. Sva-karmana tam abhyarcya samsiddhim labhate param. Simply by satisfying the central point, Krsna, then you get samsiddhi. It doesn't matter whether you are a sudra or a brahmana or engineer or lawyer. The real point is how to satisfy Krsna. But that education is lacking. So our Krsna consciousness movement is teaching how to serve Krsna from any position. It doesn't matter. Whether you are a brahmana, ksatriya, vaisya, sudra, lawyer, engineer, or film actor or anything, it doesn't matter, but whether you are trying to satisfy Krsna. That is the point.” (74/04/06 Bombay, Bhagavad-gita 4.17)

So brother, you have not properly understood the message of Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad-Gita and sastra. Please read Bhagavad-Gita sincerely and hear more lectures of Srila Prabhupada on Bhagavad Gita to understand what is the real meaning of a full-time devotee. It requires more spiritual strength, knowledge, determination, and sacrifice to sincerely work in Krishna consciousness while living outside the temples.
"I was questioned by some gentleman sometimes in 1940. He charged that the Vaiṣṇava, "This Vaiṣṇava means a lazy fellow." He said like that. (laughs) So I said, "You have never seen a Vaiṣṇava." I told him, "You have never seen a Vaiṣṇava." "No, I have seen these Vaiṣṇavas. They do not do anything and taking mālā and pretending to be very highly elevated and sleep and snore." That's... You have seen... "But you have not seen. You might have seen these pseudo-Vaiṣṇavas, but real Vaiṣṇava you have not seen."

"What is that real Vaiṣṇava?" And I said that in India there were two big wars. One war was the Rāma-Rāvaṇa, and another war Kurukṣetra. So in these two wars, the hero is Vaiṣṇava. One is Hanumān and another is Arjuna. Have you seen them? Have you heard about them? Are they lazy fellows? Hanumān is Vaiṣṇava. He could raise one mountain and jump over the sea and set fire in the very beautiful state of Rāvaṇa. This is Vaiṣṇava. This is Vaiṣṇava." (Srila Prabhupada, October 9, 1976, Aligarh)

Worship of Demigods in ISKCON

[PADA: A prominent ISKCON lecturer on the West Coast advertises Rama Krishna mission and all sorts of other Hindu-ized deviations, and yet is allowed to act as an authority in ISKCON. OK the GBC is going to the Hindus to get money. And this is why we are also seeing car poojas, temples used for Hindu marriages and so on. Of course if someone wanted to promote Srila Prabhupada ... they would be banned? ys pd]

Glories of Mother Yasoda

"In the Upaniṣads it is said that the Supreme Personality of Godhead can run with more speed than the mind, but here we see that although Kṛṣṇa wanted to avoid being arrested by His mother, He was finally defeated, and mother Yaśodā captured Him. "

Can People Advance Without the ISKCON Institution?

[PADA: Our experience, more and more, is that a good number of people are making nice advancement independent of the GBC's managed official ISKCON institution. We are also getting nice questions from various devotees in various places, of course a few of these folks are part of the official ISKCON, but evidently they have doubts about that program.

Overall, more and more people are working to jettison their connection to the official GBC managerial process. And some of them at least are coming to look at our process, and they are accepting. Notice below the nice writing of this independent devotee. ys pd]   angel108b@yahoo.com

AKD: In the conditioned stage when we are weak-minded, we identify with the weak body & timid mind, and not with the Lord within. And we may not be able do much but, by realizing our true identity and engaging in the selfless service of the All Powerful, Supreme Lord Narayana, we most definitely can do anything. Unfortunately, we live in a materialistic society where the majority of insecure people are constantly brainwashed to be more concerned about what they have than who they truly are. But the true power & true happiness doesn't come from having any amount of material possessions, it comes from having Lord on your side.

How to bring Lord on your side? The only requirements are COMPLETE FAITH IN HIS INSTRUCTIONS revealed in the Scriptures (B-Gita/Srimad Bhagavatam), and by GIVING YOUR 100% to constantly practice them. Shastra, scripture, is your real father.

All the ends of human life can be achieved through the actions which are prescribed by Lord in the Shastras (scriptures), but their performance requires the FIRM CONVICTION that you're an eternal part & son of Lord, different from the temporary mind & body. Maya's servants are timid and weak, but God's servants are ALWAYS STRONG. The power of Lord is Supreme.

If you actually connect with Lord, His purity, power and bliss will manifest in you. Disunite from the delusions and imaginations of your weak mind, and unite with Lord through Karma / Bhakti Yoga. Do all the obligatory works you ought to do with full enthusiasm- only for Him. As son of Lord, your true nature is bliss, joy and strength. For one who always remembers Lord and works incessantly for Him with great faith & enthusiasm, Lord is always very near.

In the service of Lord,
AKD

"One must accept the original instructions of the śāstra. According to Vedic civilization, one is offered a sacred thread as a sign of second birth. One takes his second birth by dint of having received instructions in the śāstra from a bona fide spiritual master. Therefore, śāstra, scripture, is the real father. All the śāstras instruct that one should end his material way of life. If one does not know the purpose of the father’s orders, the śāstras, he is ignorant. The words of a material father who endeavors to engage his son in material activities are not the real instructions of the father." (SB 6.5.20)

yaḥ śāstra-vidhim utsṛjya vartate kāma-kārataḥ
na sa siddhim avāpnoti na sukhaṁ na parāṁ gatim

“One who disregards the injunctions of the śāstras and acts whimsically, as he likes, never achieves the perfection of life, not to speak of happiness. Nor does he return home to the spiritual world.” (SB 6.5.20 Purport)

"But ignorant and faithless persons who doubt the revealed scriptures do not attain God consciousness. For the doubting soul there is happiness neither in this world nor in the next." (B-Gita 4.40)

"And whoever, at the time of death, quits his body, remembering Me alone, at once attains My nature. Of this there is no doubt.

Whatever state of being one remembers when he quits his body, that state he will attain without fail. Therefore, Arjuna, you should always think of Me in the form of Kṛṣṇa and at the same time carry out your prescribed duty of fighting. With your activities dedicated to Me and your mind and intelligence fixed on Me, you will attain Me without doubt." (B-Gita 8.5-7)

"But those who worship Me with devotion, meditating on My transcendental form-to them I carry what they lack and preserve what they have." (B-Gita 9.22)

"In all activities just depend upon Me and work always under My protection. In such devotional service, be fully conscious of Me. If you become conscious of Me, you will pass over all the obstacles of conditional life by My grace. If, however, you do not work in such consciousness but act through false ego, not hearing Me, you will be lost." (B-Gita 18.58)

PADA: Very nice. Yes, if we have attachment for Krishna, then Krishna will reciprocate by having attachment for us: "Krsna could understand that the gopis were rapt in ecstasy by embracing Him in their minds, and therefore, since He is present in everyone's heart, He reciprocated their embracing from within." ys pd

Pope Worries Over "Gay Priests" Issue

How Mahatma's Program Gets us Killed (PADA)

Deviants are not the "guru successors" of the acharyas

http://mahatmadas.com

[PADA: Mahatma das says we should not criticize ISKCON. What is ISKCON? Mahatma's program has been saying that Krishna's and Srila Prabhupada's guru successors are often illicit sex debauchees, drunkards, gamblers, intoxicated fools etc. (and / or the persons "voted in" as acharyas by various deviants) and that is ISKCON? And we "should not criticize" a program where debauchees etc. are taking the place of our guru as his "guru successors"?

Saying that Krishna and Srila Prabhupada's guru successors are often debauchees is an attack on Srila Prabhupada and Krishna, aka ISKCON. The good news is, the police, FBI, media, courts -- and similar others -- protected us when Mahatma's "guru" process was busy banning, beating and suing us, if not sending us death threats -- if not having their people chasing us with baseball bats, if not -- killing us. Even a former GBC man told me he could not speak out at the GBC meeting or Jayapataka's people would "beat him with bamboo sticks," never mind what happens to us lesser peons.

Sulochana said that Mahatma's program is not advanced enough to worship a bucket of dog stools -- because a bucket of dog stools will not ban, beat, sue, molest and kill the Vaishnavas. Self evidently Sulochana is right, since the Mahatma program bans, beats, sues, molests, kills and even -- killed Sulochana. Mahatma says these problems are "mistakes." Nope, this is a highly coordinated and organized attack on anyone who objects to the Mahatma program of worship of debauchees as Krishna's successors and acharyas.

So this is the first problem. Anyone who says debauchees are not acharyas is "an offender" is "criticizing ISKCON," and so forth. That is how the Mahatma program got us devotees banned, beaten, molested, sued -- and killed in the first place. We were "criticizing ISKCON" and that is how they demonized us -- to get us beaten and killed, and Mahatma is still at it? You mean there has not been enough banning, beating, molesting, suing and murders from demonizing the critics, we should pour more gasoline on that program and -- keep it going? They do not have enough blood on their hands already?

And the cheer leaders of the GBC's bogus guru programs like Gaura Govinda Maharaja, Sridhara Maharaja and Narayan Maharaja also cannot be criticized because then we are "making offenses to pure devotees" and so on. That also gets people killed, and did get people killed after 1936 in the Gaudiya Matha.

The good news is -- Mahatma's program now says criticism of their molester messiah program is "rampant," heh heh heh, looks like we got a lot of allies on our side these days? And -- they cannot get rid of us anymore, we are already outside the institution. I hope someone reports Mahatma to the charity commission, his program of saying we are bogus for criticizing his illicit sex acharya's program has already got us people beaten and killed, and he is still pounding the drum for that process, after all the devastating results are recorded already?

Oh boo hoo, people are criticizing Mahatma's sexual predator's and / or sex with taxi driver's acharya's program, gimmee a kleenex already. Mahatma's program just buried his main sidekick Gunagrahi swami, their pornography watching messiah, in a samadhi in Vrndavana. Yep, the more a person is a deviant the more he deserves to be in a samadhi buried next to Goswamis and Srila Prabhupada in the dham. They are insulting Srila Prabhupada at every step, but that is not ISKCON. ys pd]

Ekadasi Reminder (Sunday Dec 2nd)

Friendly Reminder:

Sunday December 2nd - Utpanna Ekadasi

Monday December 3rd - Break Fast 7:22am - 10:07am ( Please Check your local time)

Suggestion: If your health permits, you may go for full day fasting, or you may take one time Ekadasi Lunch prasadam—milk products, fruits and vegetables with no beans and no grains. In the night time you may take one glass of milk only. If you have not started reading Srilla Prabhupada books, start reading from this Ekadasi at least one page or a paragraph per day. You must complete chanting twenty five rounds of Mahamantra on this Ekadasi.

Mahatmya:

"Lord Sri Krishna replied, 'I will tell you why Ekadasi is the most purifying of all days. In the Satya-Yuga there once lived an amazingly fearsome demon called Mura. Always very angry, he terrified all the demigods, defeating even Indra, the king of heaven; Vivasvan, the sun-god; the eight Vasus; Lord Brahma; Vayu. the wind-god; and Agni, the fire-god. With his terrible power he brought them all under his control.

"'Lord Indra then approached Lord Shiva and said, "We have all fallen from our planets and are now wandering helplessly on the earth. O lord, how can we find relief from this affliction? What will be the fate of us demigods?' "'Lord Shiva replied, "O best of the demigods, go to that place where Lord Vishnu, the rider of Garuda, resides. He is Jagannatha, the master of all the universes and their shelter as well. He is devoted to protecting all souls surrendered to Him.'"

"Lord Krishna continued, 'O Arjuna, winner of wealth, after Lord Indra heard these words of Lord Shiva's, he proceeded with all the demigods to the place where Lord Jagannatha, the Lord of the universe, the protector of all souls, was resting. Seeing the Lord sleeping upon the water, the demigods joined their palms and, led by Indra, recite the following prayers: "'"O Supreme Personality of Godhead, all obeisances to You. O Lord of lords, O You who are praised by the foremost demigods, O enemy of all demons, O lotus-eyed Lord, O Madhusudana (killer of the Madhu demon), please protect us.

Afraid of the demon Mura, we demigods have come to take shelter of You. O Jagannatha, You are the doer of everything and the creator of everything. You are the mother and the father of all universes. You are the creator, the maintainer, and the destroyer of all. You are the supreme helper of all the demigods, and You alone can bring peace to them. you alone are the earth, the sky, and the universal benefactor. "'"You are Shiva, Brahma, and also Vishnu, the maintainer of the three worlds. You are the gods of the sun, moon, and fire. You are the clarified butter, the oblation, the sacred fire, the mantras, the rituals, the priests, and the silent chanting of japa.

You are the sacrifice itself, its sponsor, and the enjoyer of its results, the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Nothing within these three worlds, whether moveable or immovable, can exist independent of You. O Supreme Lord, Lord of lords, You are the protector of those who take shelter of You. O supreme mystic, O shelter of the fearful, please rescue and protect us. We demigods have been defeated by the demons and have thus fallen from the heavenly realm. Deprived of our positions, O Lord of the universe, we are now wandering about this earthly planet."'

"Lord Krsna continued, 'Having heard Indra and the other demigods speak these words, Sri Vishnu, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, replied, "What demon possesses such great powers of delusion that he has been able to defeat all the demigods? What is his name, and where does he live? Where does he get his strength and shelter? Tell Me everything, O Indra, and do not fear."

"'Lord Indra replied, "O Supreme Godhead, O Lord of lords, O You who vanquish the fear in Your pure devotees' hearts, O You who are so kind to your faithful servants, there was once a powerful demon of the Brahma dynasty whose name was Nadijangha. he was extraordinarily fearsome and wholly dedicated to destroying the demigods, and he begot an infamous son named Mura.

'"Mura's great capital city is Chandravati. From that base the terribly evil and powerful Mura demon has conquered the whole world and brought all the demigods under his control, driving them out of their heavenly kingdom. He has assumed the roles of Indra, the king of heaven; Agni, the fire-god; Yama, the lord of death; Vayu, the wind-god; Isha, or Lord Shiva; Soma, the moon-god; Nairrti, the lord of the directions; and Pasi, or Varuna, the water-god. He has also begun emanating light in the role of the sun-god and has turned himself into the clouds as well. It is impossible for the demigods to defeat him. O Lord Vishnu, please kill this demon and make the demigods victorious."
"'Hearing these words from Indra, Lord Janardana became very angry and said, "O powerful demigods, all together you may now advance on Mura's capital city of Chandravati." Encouraged thus, the assembled demigods proceeded to Chandravati with Lord Hari leading the way.

"'When Mura saw the demigods, that foremost of demons started roaring very loudly in the company of countless thousands of other demons, who were all holding brilliantly shining weapons. The mighty-armed demons struck the demigods, who began abandoning the battlefield and fleeing in the ten directions. Seeing the Supreme Lord Hrsikesha, the master of the senses, present on the battlefield, the furious demons rushed toward Him with various weapons in their hands. As they charged the Lord, who holds a sword, disk, and club, He immediately pierced all their limbs with His sharp, poisonous arrows. thus many hundred of demons died by the Lord's hand.

"'At last the chief demon, Mura, began fighting with the Lord. Mura used his mystic power to render useless whatever weapons the Supreme Lord Hrsikesa unleashed. Indeed, to the demon the weapons felt just like flowers striking him. When the Lord could not defeat the demon even with various kinds of weapons - whether those that are thrown or those that are held - He began fighting with His bare hands, which were as strong as iron-studded clubs.

The Lord wrestled with Mura for one thousand celestial years and then, apparently fatigued, left for Badarikashrama. There Lord Yogeshvara, the greatest of all yogis, the Lord of the universe, entered a very beautiful cave named Himavati to rest. O Dhananjaya, winner of wealth, that cave was ninety-six miles in diameter and had only one entrance. I went there out of fear, and also to sleep. There is no doubt about this, O son of Pandu, for the great fight made me very tired. the demon followed Me into that cave and, seeing Me asleep, started thinking within his heart, "Today I will kill this slayer of all demons, Hari."

"'While the wicked-minded Mura was making plans in this way, from My body there manifested a young girl who had a very bright complexion. O son of Pandu, Mura saw that she was equipped with various brilliant weapons and was ready to fight. Challenged by that female to do battle, Mura prepared himself and then fought with her, but he became very astonished when he saw that she fought him without cessation. The king of the demons then said, "Who has created this angry, fearsome girl who is fighting me so powerfully, just like a thunderbolt falling upon me?' After saying this, the demon continued to fight with the girl.

"'Suddenly that effulgent goddess shattered all of Mura's weapons and in a moment deprived him of his chariot. He ran toward her to attacker with his bare hands, but when she saw him coming she angrily cut off his head. Thus the demon at once fell to the ground and went to the abode of Yamaraja. The rest of the Lord's enemies, out of fear and helplessness, entered the subterranean Patala region.

"'Then the Supreme Lord woke up and saw the dead demon before Him, as well as the maiden bowing down to him with joined palms. His face expressing His astonishment, the Lord of the universe said, "Who has killed this vicious demon? He easily defeated all the demigods, Gandharvas, and even Indra himself, along with Indra's companions, the Maruts, and he also defeated the Nagas (snakes), the rulers of the lower planets. He even defeated Me, making Me hide in this cave out of fear. Who is it that has so mercifully protected Me after I ran from the battlefield and went to sleep in this cave?"

"'The maiden said, "It is I who have killed this demon after appearing from Your transcendental body. Indeed, O Lord Hari, when he saw You sleeping he wanted to kill You. Understanding the intention of this thorn in the side of the three worlds, I killed the evil rascal and this freed all the demigods from fear. I am Your great maha-sakti, Your internal potency, who strikes fear into the hearts of all Your enemies. I have killed this universally terrifying demon to protect the three worlds.

Please tell me why You are surprised to see that this demon has been killed, O Lord." "'The Supreme Personality of Godhead said, "O sinless one, I am very satisfied to see that it is you who have killed this king of the demons. In this way you have made the demigods happy, prosperous, and full of bliss. Because you have given pleasure to all the demigods in the three worlds, I am very pleased with you. Ask any boon you may desire, O auspicious one. I will give it to you without a doubt, though it be very rare among the demigods."

""The maiden said, "O Lord, if You are pleased with me and wish to give me a boon, then give me the power to deliver from the greatest sins that person who fasts of this day. I wish that half the pious credit obtained by one who fasts will accrue to one who eats only in the evening (abstaining from grains and beans), and that half of this pious credit will be earned by one who eats only at midday. Also, may one who strictly observes a complete fast on my appearance day, with controlled senses, go to the abode of Lord Vishnu for one billion kalpas after he has enjoyed all kinds of pleasures in this world.

This is the boon I desire to attain by Your mercy, my Lord, O Lord Janardana, whether a person observes complete fasting, eats only in the evening, or eats only at midday, please grant him a religious attitude, wealth, and at last liberation."

"'The Supreme Personality of Godhead said, "O most auspicious lady, what you have requested is granted. All My devotees in this world will surely fast on your day, and thus they will become famous throughout the three worlds and finally come and stay with me in My abode. Because you, My transcendental potency, have appeared on the eleventh day of the waning moon, let your name by Ekadasi. If a person fasts on Ekadasi, I will burn up all his sins and bestow upon him My transcendental abode. "'"These are the days of the waxing and waning moon that are most dear to Me: Tritiya (the third day), Ashthami (the eighth day), Navami (the ninth day), Chaturdasi (the fourteenth day), and especially Ekadasi (the eleventh day).

"'"The merit one attains by fasting on Ekadasi is greater than that achieved by observing any other kind of fast or by going to a place of pilgrimage, and even greater than that achieved by giving charity to brahmanas. I tell you most emphatically that this is true." "'Having thus given the maiden His benediction, the Supreme Lord suddenly disappeared. From that time onward the Ekadasi day became most meritorious and famous all over the universe. O Arjuna, if a person strictly observes Ekadasi, I kill all his enemies and grant him the highest destination. Indeed, if a person observes this great Ekadasi fast in any of the prescribed way, I remove all obstacles to his spiritual progress and grant him the perfection of life.

"'Thus, O son of Prtha, I have described to you the origin of Ekadasi. This one day removes all sins eternally. Indeed, it is the most meritorious day for destroying all kinds of sins, and it has appeared in order to benefit everyone in the universe by bestowing all varieties of perfection. "'One should not discriminate between the Ekadasis of the waxing and waning moons; both must be observed, O Partha, and they should not be differentiated from Maha-Dvadasi. Everyone who fasts of Ekadasi should recognise that there is no difference between these two Ekadasis, for they comprise the same tithi.

"'Whoever completely fasts on Ekadasi, following the rules and regulations, will achieve the supreme abode of Lord Vishnu, who rides upon Garuda. They are glorious who devote themselves to Lord Vishnu and spend all their rime studying the glories of Ekadasi. One who vows not to eat anything on Ekadasi but to eat only on the next day achieves the same merit as one who executes a horse sacrifice. Of this there is no doubt.

"'On Dvadasi, the day after Ekadasi, one should pray, "O Pundarikaksha, O lotus-eyed Lord, now I will eat. Please shelter me." After saying this, the wise devotee should offer some flowers and water at the Lord's lotus feet and invite the Lord to eat by chanting the eight-syllable mantra thrice. If the devotee wants to gain the fruit of his fast, he should then drink water taken form the sanctified vessel in which he offered water at the Lord's lotus feet.

"'On Dvadasi one must avoid sleeping during the day, eating in another's home, eating more than once, having sex, eating honey, eating from a bell- metal plate, eating urad-dal, and rubbing oil on one's body. The devotee must give up these eight things on Dvadasi. If he wants to speak to an outcaste on that day, he must purify himself by eating a Tulasi leaf or an amalaki fruit. O best of kings, from noon on Ekadasi until dawn on Dvadasi, one should engage himself in taking baths, worshipping the Lord, and executing devotional activities, including the giving of charity and the performance of fire sacrifices.

If one finds himself in difficult circumstances and cannot break the Ekadasi fast properly on Dvadasi, one can break it by drinking water, and then one is not at fault if he eats again after that.

"'A devotee of Lord Vishnu who day and night hears these all-auspicious topics concerning the Lord from the mouth of another devotee will be elevated to the Lord's planet and reside there for ten million kalpas. And one who hears even one sentence about the glories of Ekadasi is freed from the reactions to such sins as killing a brahmana. There is no doubt of this. For all eternity there will be no better way of worshiping Lord Vishnu than observing a fast on Ekadasi.'"

Thus ends the narration of the glories of Margasirsa-krsna Ekadasi, or Utpanna Ekadasi, from the Bhavisya-uttara Purana.

ISKCON Child Protection Awareness Program (Alachua Florida)

[PADA: Sounds great. Except, what happens when the GBC is teaching ISKCON's little children that: (A) God is pure and therefore (B) His "good as God" (shaksat Hari) guru successors are often drunkards, drug addicts, deviants, sexual aggressors, molesters, if not criminals -- and so on? Isn't it "criminal psychological child abuse" to teach children that God's successors are often debauchees?

Yes, the guru is as good as God and thus -- he can absorb sins like Jesus and therefore -- he is often a debauchee? Why would anyone teach this to children? And is this not an ongoing crime against children? Where is the protection of children in a society that teaches children that God's successors are often sexual predators and intoxicated fools? ys pd

Karnamrita das cancer therapy vs ISKCON's cancer problem

Srila Prabhupada..."one who is mischievous, he is culprit. But one who tolerates mischievous activity, he is also culprit. If you are mischievous, you are criminal. But... if you tolerate mischievous activities that is also criminal. Morning Walk -- Los Angeles, May 3, 1973

Karnamrita Das

IMPOSSIBLE DREAM--THAT THERE'S GOD, THAT HE COULD BE KRISHNA, THAT YOU CAN LOVE HIM, OR THAT ONE CAN HEAL FROM CANCER BY ALTERNATIVE MEANS?

Some people think that the existence of the soul and God, what to speak of a relationship between them, is delusional and unproductive. Others may doubt that one can have a spiritual practice to understand them, or that the Ultimate Unlimited Absolute is personal in its highest aspect, what to speak of being Krishna.

[PADA: Sulochana called these type people "the goody two shoes program." They made it look like we were the fanatics for protesting the banning, beating, molesting, embezzling, crimes, drug selling, if not murders going on under the GBC's regime. We had to "make nice" with the bad guys and "cooperate" with them, or at least not protest very vociferously, as the ISKCON ship was being guided into the ice berg.

Yes. Everything is personal. As such -- we need to connect with the personal representative of Krishna, and not make a program of promoting false representatives. The Tripurari swami program (Saragrahi) promotes Sridhara Maharaja, founder father of the post-1936 bi-sexual acharya's imbroglio, and he was later on a big cheer leader of the bogus GBC's 11 "gurus." Worse, he said "none should protest" their alleged guru's self evident deviations.

Why do we need to promote the founder fathers of various bogus guru programs? Saragrahi also means "refined gentleman," not sure why Sridhara's false guru programs -- which produces banning, beating, sexual predatory acharyas, lawsuits -- and murders is claimed to be a "gentlemanly" process? Sulochana called them "the velvet glove that hides the iron fist."

And! This minimizes the bona fide guru parampara.

In fact Sridhara Maharaja writes: acharyas "go mad" after money, women and followers. Where is the respect for the guru parampara by saying it is sometimes (or many times?) populated by mad fools -- who are chasing money, chasing women's skirts, chasing to obtain numbers of worshipers and followers and maybe -- orchestrating crimes including murders of dissenters? And why would we juxtapose such foolishness with a "guru parampara from God"?]

Gurus go mad?

"Better to associate with sense enjoyers for in this world there is no worse association than the dharmadvaji. The deceitful dharmadvajis accept the external signs of dharma with a desire to cheat the world, and to fulfill their crooked desires they cheat the foolish by helping them in their rascaldom. Some of them become gurus and others become disciples, and by trickery they accumulate wealth, women, false prestige and material assets. If one gives up the association of such crooked hypocrites, then he can honestly engage in devotional service. Honest worship is the only way to obtain Krsna’s mercy".

("Bhaktyaloka", Jana-Sanga,p.21)

***SRILA SATCITANANDA BHAKTIVINODA THAKURA

KD: Or those on the path of bhakti for many decades may doubt that they can make much advancement in this lifetime, but hope against hope for a miracle at the time of death. We find in the world so many opinions, some well-reasoned, others full of emotionalism, negative, positive, regretful, or so many combinations that may dissuade one from spiritual practice or the determination to give one’s whole being, heart and soul.

[PADA: Well yes, the Tripurari program of promoting false gurus emptied out the Gaudiya Matha's temples and later on emptied out ISKCON's temples. So this is just like a cancerous disease attacking Vaishnavism -- and in turn, ISKCON. One by one -- by one -- the devotees left -- just like the healthy body cells are killed off -- one by one -- by the cancer disease. A gurukuli we know says he cannot think of even one of his ex-kuli friends now living in ISKCON at the moment. So the process of making false gurus "dissuades one from spiritual practice." No kidding! And the bad media publicity their program generates dissuades millions of people from participating.

Worse! To say that children need to worship sexual predators and deviants as their acharyas will get them to become mortified with the religion, and leave. Its called "killing the soul" in the Vedas, atma hana. In sum, cancer picks off one cell at a time, and this false guru program picks off one victim here and there at a time. Same process: this person leaves, that person leaves, the children leave, and so on and so forth And this process alienates the devotees and their children from the religion -- one person at a time. Its just like a cancer tumor taking over the healthy body by killing off one cell at a time.]

KD: Sometimes well-meaning friends, family, or those brothers and sisters on our bhakti path who are disillusioned with fallen leaders or their guru, can be our worst advisors or critics. Some people never heal from their painful past traumas, betrayal, or disappointments, and remain looking backward, and not to true empowering possibilities.

[PADA: Well yes, by the GBC's and their allies like Sridhara Maharaja cramming the worship of deviants down the throats of the hapless citizens of ISKCON, many / most people lost faith in the institution and left. No kidding! What other result could we expect? This is exactly what Sridhara Maharaja generated after 1936, he created mass faithlessness in Vaishnavism with his false guru process.]

KD: As the saying goes, misery enjoys company.

[PADA: How true. Sridhara Maharaja made a miserable condition out of the Gaudiya Matha with his empowering fools as his acharyas. Then there was subsequent banning, beating, lawsuits and murders after 1936 and in particular the 1940s -- and after all that, the GBC went over to the leader of this misery making program and adopted his system for ISKCON after 1978. Misery loves company indeed! Deviants also love other deviants, especially those who empower such deviants in the post of guru and messiah.]

KD: How much such opinions affect us depends on our mind’s orientation to react or respond based on how much spiritual experience or faith in our path we have, or haven’t. And so it is with alternative cancer treatments, since many well meaning doctors think it is all snake oil.

[PADA: Yep, worship of deviants is being promoted as divine, but its snake oil salesmen.]

KD: As I like to tell those recently diagnosed with cancer, do your homework and hear from those who have gone for conventional and alternative treatment. Talk to real people!

[PADA: Big problem here apparently, these folks never seem to talk to some of us victims of their policy of making fools into messiahs? They just plod onwards rubber stamping one wave of deviants after 1936, and then making another wave of deviants after 1977, and then another wave, and another wave and so on. And now Tripurari has become simply another Jesus-wanna be messiah who thinks he can absorb sins as a diksha guru. Ooops, Srila Prabhupada says when a conditioned soul takes sins, he has to suffer, he cannot absorb those sins. That is one reason these false messiahs are "destined for the most obnoxious regions" where they have to work off all the sins they accumulated.]

KD: Despite appearances to some, I am one of those devotees who has lived as a casual, or “religious” devotee (which means just doing the basics and not really fully applying oneself to the process both internally and externally), for most of my decades of practice, and in fact I have this as my general default setting—which I would wager is true for many older devotees.

[PADA: Well right, a lot of the people Sridhara Maharaja rubber stamped as "messiah like gurus" are simply "fair to middling" neophytes, at best. If not, they are those who may be found watching football, watching porno, smoking pot, taking LSD, gambling in Reno, shooting at beer cans with shot guns, shooting at occupied buildings with four loaded guns, drinking Vodka, dating minor aged females, running off to hear bogus babajis, engaging in oral sex with men, and who knows what else.]

KD: I share this as a warning for younger devotees and a possible wake-up call for those devotees in old or pre-old age. While bhakti is a path of grace, there is much we can do to be in the right consciousness to attract it.

[PADA: Right consciousness is the key, and it will attract the same. Indeed. So if we worship deviants, sexual predators, criminals and so on, we will attract same. Is this how ISKCON became full of sexual predators, criminals, and so forth, they attracted those types?]

KD: My current life situation, traveling to Vrindavan for Ayurvedic (and spiritual) treatment, is another proverbial fork in the road--yes, I said this at the beginning of my cancer journey three years ago, and yet, it seems to be a fork within a fork, or a large bump, in the road where I must choose how to spend each moment, day, week, and year I have been blessed to live. Doing nothing different, or not acting, is also a kind of choice.

We are, and we become, what we think about and are focused on, absorbed in.

[PADA: Correct, Sridhara Maharaja promoted a false acharya in 1936 and dissenters were banned, beaten, sued and assassinated. Then he promoted more false acharyas after 1977, ditto results. He became what he was focused on, and so did others under his influence.

Imagine this, Sridhara Maharaja encouraged ISKCON's devotees and even little children to worship his illicit sex with men, women and children guru's program -- on the hope that what, they would become what they worshiped? Why would any sane human being want little children to worship their illicit sex debauchees as acharyas program, knowing that people become what they worship? Krishna says in the Gita we become what we worship -- therefore, lets get all the people of the world to worship our debauchees -- as their messiahs. Then we can convert the whole human society into becoming degraded debauchees?]

KD: Our thoughts, feelings, focus, and faith is where the power of life is, giving us vitality and dynamism, or lethargy or depression. Do we expect life events or situations to work out, or do we bemoan our fate that we seem to “always” attract bad things or relationships? The process of change or transformation is based on understanding this fact of life, and acting accordingly.

[PADA: Correct, by promoting deviants as acharyas, the dynamism was lost and lethargy and depression evolved. And from that depression, many fatal ailments began to appear in the individual and collective bodies of ISKCON citizens? Srila Prabhupada says stress can bring on illness, and apparently, it has.]

KD: Is a stormy day (physically or emotionally) -- or fill in the blank -- good or bad? People in the same situation have remarkably different perceptions of it. Admittedly, my wife and I are both positivity types, and we have adopted a philosophy of life based on the understanding that whatever happens to us is meant for our highest good. Though we believe this is a spiritual truth based on our life experiences, even if you believe this is only a psychological view, we find that what is expected tends to be realized. In other words, our life world view creates a life focus, and what we look for or notice, whether positive or negative. Is it a calamity or opportunity?

And so it is, that for me, as I have often shared, cancer is Krishna’s loving embrace and supreme mercy and kindness, and I am praying to take full advantage of it -- do, or just fade away. So many blessings have come from cancer, and getting to travel to Vrindavana is another huge one.

Prayer is my secret power, and whatever I may accomplish is based on prayer to lovingly, joyful surrender and be emptied out of everything unfavorable for spiritual progress, and to give, and share that in every place I travel to, in person, or through my writing. I am grateful for the inspiration I feel to write and share what is most essential to me, and though I may waver or trip, I am praying to do my best and keep getting up, and that Gaura and Nitai and their agents, will make my ideals a reality. Let us see!

Better to endeavor to be outstanding, then to just get by--been there, done that--let us look up at what we can become and not down into the mud of the past! And your prayers and blessings will help me go forward and to share that. Thank you!

[PADA: Well this is all well and good, but it does not explain why so many of our God brothers "went along to get along" with the debauchee acharya's program, and began to promote the biggest orchestrators of these deviations like Sridhara Maharaja, and his clone Tripurari swami. Now, we have reduced the status of acharyas to fallen debauchees, and then people wonder why they or their society is suffering?

Therefore our conclusion is, the reason there has been an epidemic of fatal ailments among so many of the original ISKCON devotees -- at or around 60 years old (if they make it that far) is, that they have some background psychological disordered issues, including a sort of creeping depression etc. -- that affects their well being. And that is because they supported deviations instead of the right process. Or what?

Meanwhile I know of regular ordinary people (the karmis?) who are 80 or more years old, and they are still ticking along better than a number of these "great devotees." And this does not include untimely departures of devotees from intoxication overloads such as heroin or alcohol poisoning, a few murders, AIDS, some suicides -- including among ex-gurukula victims, and so on and so forth. This is not normal, and we should not present this as normal society to try to perpetuate this unnatural condition.

Something is wrong. And we would say, making a society based on replacing Srila Prabhupada as the guru with fools, deviants, sexual predators, molesters, drunkards, drug addicts, criminals and so on -- has caused a big problem for the citizens of that society, even if they are not aware of the problem directly. In sum, its also affecting them indirectly. And its affecting the perps, their cheer leaders, and the victims of the regime all together in different aspects. Therefore Srila Prabhupada says, we need to be vigilant and make sure his process is followed, or else we will suffer, and the society as a whole will suffer.

Anyway, we hate to kick a person when he is down but, it always amazes us how these people can see a few problems, but they cannot see that they are nourishing the root of the problems by helping a program to promote deviants as God's successors. Its no surprise then -- that there is an epidemic of physical and mental problems in that society, in fact, we should expect same. Anyway, good luck with your cancer treatment. Lets hope you have more luck than the many victims of the program your folks supported have had.

=======================

Prabhupāda: ...become an exemplary gosvāmī to give fight to the gosvāmīs here. You are..., how many years you are in Vṛndāvana? Huh? How many years you are here?
Gurudāsa: Two and half years.
Prabhupāda: Two and a half years. Now you should represent Rūpa Gosvāmī, and you should challenge them, "You are not gosvāmī; I am gosvāmī." But you have to be exemplary. Do you know what is the definition of gosvāmī?
Gurudāsa: One who works hard for Kṛṣṇa day and night and one who controls his senses.

Prabhupāda: Yes. That is the first thing. Vāco vegaṁ krodha-vegam udara-vegam upastha-vegaṁ manasa-vegam, etān vegān yo viṣaheta dhīraḥ pṛthivīṁ sa śiṣyāt (NOI 1). One who can control these kinds of urges, vāco vegam, talking nonsense—that is called vāco vegam. Krodha-vegam, anger. Urges of the mind. Mind dictates, "Do this, do that." Then udara-vegam, eating vegam. "Eat more, more, more." Udara-vegam. Upastha-vegam: genital. When one can control these six vegān, urges, then he is fit for becoming gosvāmī, and he can make śiṣya all over—śiṣya, disciple—all over the world.

Pṛthivīṁ sa śiṣyāt. This is gosvāmī. Not that a business. (Hindi) Is there any mention Bhāgavata-saptāha in the Bhāgavatam? There are so many big, big commentators. They have never recommended. But this business is going on. They are holding Bhāgavata-saptāha and bringing money and employing it for the sons', daughters' marriage very opulently. And the..., their supporters, they're also invited. They say, "Oh, here is a gosvāmī." This is going on here. (break) ...of gosvāmī, there is not a single gosvāmī. At least visible. Where is that vāco vegaṁ krodha-vegam udara upastha-vegam (NOI 1) control? And where is that pṛthivīṁ sa śiṣyāt, all worldwide?

Gurudāsa: Yes, disciples...
Prabhupāda: (chuckles) Ah, where is that? Śiṣya.
Devotee: You are.
Prabhupāda: I may be whatever I am. That's all. But this is the definition of gosvāmī. Besides that, there are other, many things. nānā-śāstra-vicāraṇaika-nipuṇau sad-dharma-saṁsthāpakau / lokānāṁ hita-kāriṇau tri-bhuvane mānyau śaraṇyākarau / rādhā-kṛṣṇa-padāravinda-bhajanānandena-mattālikau / vande rūpa-sanā...

So nānā-śāstra-vicāraṇa. One must be very conversant all kinds of śāstras. And what for? For establishing real religion. Real religion is this: sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja (BG 18.66). Why there are other religions existing? That means there is no gosvāmīs. Gosvāmī... If there is gosvāmī, he should stop functioning all other rascal religions. Simply this: mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja, that religion. That is religion. And all bogus thing.

A gosvāmī has to prove that. Nānā-śāstra-vicāraṇaika-ni..., lokānāṁ hita-kāriṇau. Why? For the benefit of the whole human society. Therefore they should be honored. Tri-bhuvane mānyau. Not that within some neighborhood. All over the world. Tri-bhuvane. That is gosvāmī. What is this gosvāmī? Tri-bhuvane mānyau śaraṇyākarau. He is fit to take shelter of. A cheating gosvāmī, cheating gosvāmī is no good.
Gurudāsa: I also... I also, the first day checked the pāṇḍā out because he wouldn't eat prasādam with us. He said, "I am Vaiṣṇava. I cannot eat amongst you." So I said, "Then we cannot hear from you. Go immediately." The first day.

Prabhupāda: Hmm. That's all right.
Devotee: He wanted to go and have tea. (break)
Prabhupāda: ...money, but not your prasāda.
Gurudāsa: Yes.

Prabhupāda: Money's pure. (laughter) And prasāda, because it is offered to Kṛṣṇa, it is impure. Just see their argument. Money is pure. Even you can give me with your hand as much as you like. Because it is pure, I'll take it. And so far prasāda is concerned, because it is offered to Kṛṣṇa, therefore I cannot take it. (break) Oh, yes. She has got the power. Shaktimati Sar. Some... The police commissioner has remarked, "This bhajana is nuisance." So we have to agitate. There are so many Vaiṣṇavas. Bhajana is nuisance? Eh?

Indian lady: It's my life.
Prabhupāda: So there must be some big agitation to drive away this man. The demand should be that "This man should be immediately removed. He has focused a sarcastic remark on a very pure religious system." This movement should be started. He must be removed immediately.

Balavanta: We can hold protest marches downtown.
Prabhupāda: Yes, yes.
Gurudāsa: Large. Large-scale protest marches.
Balavanta: All the Vaiṣṇavas will come with us.

Prabhupāda: Yes. You have to organize all... There are many Vaiṣṇavas. Huh? In the Bhagavad-gītā it is said, satataṁ kīrtayanto mām (BG 9.14): one has to chant "Kṛṣṇa" always. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu: kīrtanīyaḥ sadā hariḥ (CC Adi 17.31). And this rascal is saying "Nuisance." So it is not possible to invoke an agitation against this? What right he has got to say nuisance? He could have spoken in a sweet language, that "The bhajana may be very good for the devotees, but it creates disturbance to the others. Therefore we cannot allow." I say like that. But they cannot still stop bhajana. But he has remarked the bhajana: "Nuisance." This very word will kill him if you make proper agitation.

Gurudāsa: That means the whole government is feeling that way. Otherwise he would not feel strong in saying it.
Prabhupāda: That is a fact, but we have to become strong.
Gurudāsa: Yes. We must defeat them all.
Balavanta: We can mainly single out him.

Prabhupāda: Eh?
Balavanta: We can mainly single him out for now and protest against him, make him the example.
Gurudāsa: Make an example of him.

Balavanta: (aside, explaining to others:) The man in Bombay, government leader. He's a nuisance.
Prabhupāda: There are many parties in Bombay, kīrtana parties. You have to organize them and bring them. Chant Hare Kṛṣṇa everywhere. Create this nuisance. And Maharashtra is the country of Tukaram. He organized kīrtana. Still the Tukaram kīrtana parties are there. Viṭṭhala. Viṭṭhala means Kṛṣṇa. An ideal gosvāmī should remain here to challenge these false gosvāmīs. But if you also become false, then you cannot challenge. (break) ...ducks have come, we can talk with them. Mr. Gupta, your batakhs, they have come. (aside:) Hare Kṛṣṇa! Jayo. (Hindi)
