IRAN UPDATE

Yep prabhu blowing up ships full of oil is making giant oil spills around the Persian gulf and is a making a huge bio-hazard for all the marine life, bird life, animal life, and ultimately human life. The citizens there recycle gulf water for drinking water and oil will make a big contamination problem. But yeah, I do not think either the USA or IRAN has any real concern for the long term bio-hazard impacts of all this. 

Same thing in Ukraine, all sorts of bio-hazards and -- no one is really worried about the long range bio-hazard effects. But overall, we underestimated the Iran military capacity, and that is now a quagmire. Now Iraq is ordering USA out of there, obviously more and more countries want USA out, we are losing our footprint there no matter how much we bomb the region. In short, we are sort of stuck, just like Russia is stuck in Ukraine. Underestimated in both cases.

KAILASA CHANDRA UPDATE

The Gaudiya Matha said that our process of offering bhogha to the acharya is defective, because we need to offer to one of their acharyas. They said that to us in 1971. Kailasa agrees with the Gaudiya Matha, he also says that our program of getting people to offer bhogha to the pure devotee is the "karta bhaja sahajiya Christian idea." Of course even the atheists do not accept that bhogha needs to be offered to the pure devotee. It is amazing that Kailasa is upset people are offering their food to Krishna, following the orders of Krishna. 

There is no quote from Srila Prabhupada that our offering bhogha to the pure devotee is sahajiya, "material activism" and etc. That is the Gaudiya Matha's complaint. Anyway the good news is we now have tens of thousands of people offering their bhogha to the pure devotee, because we are following the orders to train people in this process. We are training people in the process of offering bhogha to the pure devotee, and we never even see any of this mentioned by the Kailasa people, except they do not want us to instruct others in the process. The only thing we know the Kailasa people do accept is, we need to offer food to the Madhyam, who can fall down, which is also Ravindras' idea. Sorry, Srila Prabhupada told us to instruct others to offer bhogha to the pure devotee and he never said this process is material, sahajiya etc ... that is what the Gaudiya Matha says. ys pd

APOLOGIES FOR THE DELAY.... MY PHONE WAS STOLEN

I am working on getting a text (not PDF) version of the 5 year forensic study (summary only) done by Truth Labs, Hyderabad on the evidence that Srila Prabhupada was maliciously poisoned by his own caretakers in 1977. This is why the GBC finally actually responded with a bit more than their constant past denials, hiring a Dr. Lemos to nit-pick and fault-find the poisoning thesis.

Again, rather than do any of their own tests or present some solid contrary evidence, the GBC through Dr. Lemos simply created doubts, maybe this, maybe that, thus inconclusive. And, of course, the GBC places NO WEIGHT on Srila Prabhupada's own words about being poisoned, nor the "poison whispers."

Rascals... no honest investigation, ever... 49 years now. Just denials or implausible "alternative" explanations, such as, Srila Prabhupada's lethal levels of heavy metals might have come from ceramic mugs, rice, mustard seeds, the Yamuna, Ayurvedic meds, etc, although he was the only one who somehow acquired these amounts!

MEANWHILE: Srila Prabhupada, Srimad Bhagwatam 10.1.17:

TRANSLATION

Once when mother earth was overburdened by hundreds of thousands of military phalanxes of various conceited demons dressed like kings, she approached Lord Brahmā for relief.

PURPORT

When the world is overburdened by unnecessary military arrangements and when various demoniac kings are the executive heads of state, this burden causes the appearance of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. As the Lord says in Bhagavad-gītā (4.7):

yadā yadā hi dharmasya
glānir bhavati bhārata
abhyutthānam adharmasya
tadātmānaṁ sṛjāmy aham

"Whenever and wherever there is a decline in religious practice, O descendant of Bharata, and a predominant rise of irreligion—at that time I appear Myself." When the residents of this earth become atheistic and godless, they descend to the status of animals like dogs and hogs, and thus their only business is to bark among themselves. 

This is dharmasya glāni, deviation from the goal of life. Human life is meant for attaining the highest perfection of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, but when people are godless and the presidents or kings are unnecessarily puffed up with military power, their business is to fight and increase the military strength of their different states. 

Nowadays, therefore, it appears that every state is busy manufacturing atomic weapons to prepare for A THIRD WORLD WAR. Such preparations are certainly unnecessary; they reflect the false pride of the heads of state. The real business of a chief executive is to see to the happiness of the mass of people by training them in Kṛṣṇa consciousness in different divisions of life. Cātur-varṇyaṁ mayā sṛṣṭaṁ guṇa-karma-vibhāgaśaḥ (Bg. 4.13). 

A leader should train the people as brāhmaṇas, kṣatriyas, vaiśyas and śūdras and engage them in various occupational duties, thus helping them progress toward Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Instead, however, rogues and thieves in the guise of protectors arrange for a voting system, and in the name of democracy they come to power by hook or crook and exploit the citizens. Even long, long ago, asuras, persons devoid of God consciousness, became the heads of state, and now this is happening again. 

The various states of the world are preoccupied with arranging for military strength. Sometimes they spend sixty-five percent of the government's revenue for this purpose. But why should people's hard-earned money be spent in this way? Because of the present world situation, Kṛṣṇa has descended in the form of the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement. This is quite natural, for without the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement the world cannot be peaceful and happy.

“ISKCON Juhu recently received a notice from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Government of Maharashtra, following an inspection of our kitchen and food operations conducted on 3 September 2026.

Following the inspection, the authorities assessed our compliance at 70% and identified certain areas requiring corrective action. Our food licence has been temporarily suspended, not cancelled, while these matters are being addressed. The observations primarily relate to procedures, documentation, testing, infrastructure, and other operational and regulatory requirements.

Our representatives are in communication with the authorities, and we have already initiated the necessary corrective measures in accordance with their guidance. We are working diligently to address each of the observations and achieve full compliance with all applicable food safety and regulatory standards at the earliest.

ISKCON has been serving devotees and communities on a large scale for many decades. We recognise that operating at such a scale carries a significant responsibility, and we remain committed to learning, improving and continuously strengthening our systems and standards.

The safety, hygiene and well-being of our devotees, guests and all those we serve remain our highest priority. Until the necessary corrective measures are completed and the required regulatory compliance is achieved, the concerned kitchen operations at ISKCON Juhu will remain closed.
