Comments on Ukraine's Situation vs ISKCON's

PADA: Global Kirtan For Ukraine. Good idea, the problem is, ISKCON's Kirtans to save this person / that person / this country / that country / do not seem to have much potency. Or worse, their worship of deviants and pedophile messiahs program is making things worse. Chanting to protect a deviant process is going to make things get worse, and create more illusion -- for example that glorifying deviants will save the planet. No, it will curse the planet.

ISKCON FOOD RELIEF

We are deeply saddened to see the suffering faced by people who are victims of the escalating conflict and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The Ukrainian people are in need of our sincere prayers. While we are staying warm and comfortable in our homes with our families, in Ukraine it is getting harder and harder for people to get hot food, shelter, medications, and in some places, even drinking water. Can we help? Yes! What we can do as a community is to gather and chant together, pray for peace and raise funds to help in this time of dire need and desperation. Please join in this collective prayer and donate generously when you book your ticket.

We are doing all we can to support the humanitarian aid efforts of The Lotus Trust team which is committed to helping the impacted people of Ukraine with food and medical supplies.

There are thousands of people who are leaving Ukraine through the bordering countries including Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia. There is an immediate need to support people with food and essential items as they enter the neighbouring countries. The Lotus Trust has partnered up with the local ISKCON centres in these countries and is already supplying over 2000 plates a day to the impacted people.

Our immediate focus is to scale the food distribution at the Hungarian and Romanian borders to 10,000 meals a day and support the activity of the Ukrainian humanitarian aid organisations which are working on the ground serving the needs of people in the affected cities in Ukraine.

We are raising an initial amount of £1.2m to support all this activity.
Please join in this collective prayer and donate generously when you book your ticket to help us provide essential humanitarian aid in this unimaginable war.

[PADA: Well there are going to be a lot of devotee and regular citizen refugees, if these folks can help, bravo. Akshaya Patra is also making kitchens in Poland, finally ISKCON and the ritviks are doing the same thing. Maybe that is a good sign, let us hope so. ys pd]

PADA: Top Russian Church Patriarch: Encouraging the war. Is he a bad guy? Well yep. Of course he is, but at the same time the Western Countries in Europe -- in particular -- have been funding Russia all along -- buying billions and billions of dollars of their gas and oil and other products every year, and for decades. And the Western folks knew -- all along -- Russia is going to be using their [European] money to build guns, tanks, missiles, fighter planes, bombs, nuclear subs, if not "the end of the world" bombs and so on.

And the West knew all that and lots more -- and knew that all along -- these weapons are being built, and the West is thus de facto creating these weapons by their financing and funding the weapons builders. And these weapons could easily and eventually be used to kill a lot of people. And in sum -- they knew they were funding their own type of Frankenstein monster.

Even now, some of the Western lands are reluctant to cut off their Russian gas and oil supplies. So the West created its own nemesis, direct or indirect. Yep. We created our own Frankenstein monster, now we cannot control him. Ya think so pilgrims? So there is a lot of blame game going on here, but everyone involved here is a party to the blame. The opium drug makers, the drug dealers, the drug buyers, they are all part of the same system.

Similarly! Some devotees are angry at PADA because I am not promoting their "anti-abortion conservatives" program. One of them sent me a video of an anti-abortion lawyer lecturing in a church, trying to collect funds. And this devotee was upset I would not promote the link. Fine, except, most of the people in that church will then leave the church's sermon on Sunday, and run off to pack out their local Sunday sales at Walmart program, to buy China's products.

And that funds China's economy, where they have 25M abortions per year. We should NOT fund 1M abortions in the USA, but we have no problem funding 25M abortions somewhere else? Is this why Jesus says, "Oh ye hypocrites, sons of vipers." Sorry, if we are funding China, then we are funding their entire process, includes -- huge abortion infrastructure. Of course, not funding abortion is a good idea, but if we want to stop funding it in one place, while funding it in another place, we are committing hypocrisy knowingly.

One Christian minister made a video claiming there are "baby parts" in some of China's pharmacy products. And does he then say -- all of us Christians need to stop funding China henceforward, by buying their products and funding their economy? Ummm, nope. There is no actual detailed and practical plan how to wean the USA off their products being mentioned.

And buying from them also funds China's program of making all sorts of guns, tanks, missiles, nuke subs, atom bombs and so forth. We are against socialism, so we should fund communism, and thus fund their program of abortion, making atom bombs etc? OK this makes no sense either. We are against communism, so let us finance their nuclear subs -- that can wipe us off the map? First of all, develop a consistent argument, then maybe we can present it.

In sum, we cannot blame Russia alone for creating all this mess. Nor can we blame China for hi-jacking our USA economy. These guys had lots of help-mates from the "freedom loving" Western folks -- who all co-opted with their program, and co-opted for decades. So unless the whole process is understood root and branch, we are simply clearing away a few leaves here and there, while not addressing the original root.]

AP NEWS / PETER SMITH

Tue, March 22, 2022

While Russia has sought to justify its assault on Ukraine with complaints about NATO's eastward expansion, it has also claimed that foreign actors have encroached on its religious turf in Ukraine — even alleging the United States helped instigate an Eastern Orthodox schism there.

Moscow Patriarch Kirill, head of the Russian Orthodox Church, said both the West and a rival patriarch were “pursuing the same end” of seeking to weaken Russia and “make the brotherly peoples — Russians and Ukrainians — enemies.”

[PADA: Rival religions have to blow each other up. Oh swell! Then we wonder why the mass of people have "little to none" faith in religion. Or so many people blame "religion" as the greatest cause of wars, destruction and death. Hey you guys! You are giving religion a bad name. Ummm, like ISKCON leaders are giving Krishna a bad name.

And now we have the "Rival Patriarch" taking over "my zone." Hee hee, same as the ISKCON "Zonal guru wars" where devotees from Ramesvara's zone were putting sugar in the gas tanks of New Vrndavana vehicles, to ruin their vehicles, to "keep them out of Ramesvara's zone."

Competing gurus and competing patriarchs. This is mundane consciousness. Unfortunately, these "competing religious leaders" can spill their competition over to create huge wars and loss of life. And the GBC's "guru wars" also gutted ISKCON into a burned out ghost town.]

While hardly the only factor in the war, the religious grievance shouldn’t be overlooked, experts say. “You cannot call it a religious war, but it has a religious dimension,” said the Rev. Cyril Hovorun, an Orthodox priest, native of Ukraine and professor of ecclesiology, international relations and ecumenism at University College Stockholm.

Kirill made his comments in reply to a letter from the acting head of the World Council of Churches, who had called on him to “raise up your voice” and mediate with authorities to stop the war in Ukraine. Kirill replied that the war wasn’t the fault of Russian authorities. Instead, he claimed the seeds of the conflict were sown by foreign threats to its borders, both political and religious.

[PADA: OK we need to burn Ukraine to ashes, wipe its whole civilization off the map, bomb unarmed civilians incessantly, and then -- these folks will not be a threat to us. And more importantly, they will accept our church as the only authorized church. OK but the place will be empty? People are going to exodus out of there. And people could not live there -- even if they wanted to, because their city is now a pile of ashes. OH yeah, just like ISKCON.

OK here is the plan, tens of millions of people have to be made homeless; a few million people might have to die; millions of un-accompanied children will be in jeopardy of being taken into children traffic sex cults; reports of starving of millions of people already being made; reports of pregnant women and babies being bombed; reports of kidnaps and rapes are already being made, but so what?

That is what they deserve to get -- for not worshiping -- me! Worship me, or suffer, and die! It is your bad karma if you do not submit to us!

Wait, is that not why Krishna avoids putting these people into the post of His servants in heaven? We have to surrender to -- and serve -- some mundane priest or leader -- or suffer and die, and have our homes burnt to ashes. Right, but who wants to sign up to surrender to such a process? It seems to me Russia is making a permanent alienated dissenting group, oh yeah, just like ISKCON!

Sorry, the invaders will be seen as evil people and the invaded will not happily join the invaders. This plan might have worked to some extent -- before there was massive internet information available worldwide, but it is not working well now. People all over the planet are currently viewing the carnage and -- they are not going to be too impressed.

Ooops! Same problem ISKCON has had! Kick everyone out, burn it to ashes, and we take over! Take over what? Along came the internet, then people began to compare notes on bad ISKCON gurus and bad ISKCON experiences, and voila, a counter process to EXPOSE and defy ISKCON authority has been launched.]

He cited the ecumenical patriarch of Constantinople, who in 2019 formally recognized the independence of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine — in a country where the Moscow Patriarchate claims jurisdiction. The ecumenical patriarch, based in Turkey, is considered “first among equals" among Orthodox patriarchs but, unlike a pope, doesn't have authority beyond his own territory.

In January, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the U.S. of being "directly involved in the ongoing crisis in Orthodoxy" and of having "financed Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople so he could pursue a policy of divide, including in Ukraine."

[PADA: And that is why we have to burn Ukraine to ashes, and bomb their babies in the hospitals? Because they are not going to worship our patriarch?]

He didn't offer evidence of such alleged manipulation, though U.S. officials spoke in support of Ukrainians' right to religious self-determination. The majority of Russians and Ukrainians are Orthodox, but the controversy goes deeper than numbers.

Patriarch Kirill is a longtime supporter of Russian President Vladimir Putin. Both have promoted the concept of a “Russian world,” forged in a millennium of shared Orthodox Christian culture in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Ukrainians have asserted that they’re a separate people, though related to Russians. But in the run-up to the war, Putin belittled modern Ukraine as an illegitimate Soviet invention. He alleged that Ukrainian Orthodox who remained loyal to Moscow were under threat.

The Russian-world concept forms some of the backdrop to Kirill’s first major wartime sermon, on March 6. He claimed there was a “metaphysical” struggle at stake in Ukraine. He depicted it as a struggle against a foreign liberal establishment purportedly demanding countries hold gay parades as the price of admission to a world of excess consumption and freedom.

[PADA: Ummm, Ukraine is famous for -- gay parades? Therefore, let us burn the whole place to ashes? For starters, you'd have to get rid of San Francisco if you wanted to get rid of the capital city of gay parades. Which is us over here! We are the world's capital of gay parades!

Fine. Except, we rarely have those type parades -- even here. It is not a big time focus of the society over here. Yes, we do have sometimes gay parades, also Chinese parades, Irish parades, 4th of July parades, Black Lives Matter parades, Football parades, Baseball parades, etc. No need to blow the whole place up, honest!]

Whether such claims by Russian leaders “have credibility or not in the eyes of the world is not of primary importance,” said Catherine Wanner, a Pennsylvania State University professor of history, anthropology and religious studies whose research focuses on the region. "The audience is their own people, the Russian people.”

[PADA: Yep, Russia is not worried about the opinion of others, just the people in their cult. ISKCON has the same track record, we manipulate the news for our flock. OK it works, but only to a limited extent.]

The U.S. State Department did issue statements of congratulations on the establishment of the independent Orthodox Church of Ukraine. That, plus ongoing dealings with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who has met with top U.S. dignitaries, has fueled Russian allegations of a U.S. role in the schism.

But Sam Brownback, who at the time was the U.S. State Department’s ambassador-at-large for international religious freedom, said the U.S. was supporting Ukrainian self-determination.

“We did have Ukrainian church members and Ukrainian government officials come in and say, ‘We want to establish our own ... church,’” he said in an interview. “We said, ‘That’s good by us, we believe in your own autonomy to structure as you see fit.’ But it’s a church decision, it’s not a decision made by the United States government. We don’t tell the College of Cardinals what pope to pick.”

Moreover, many Ukrainian Orthodox remained in the branch that is loyal to the Moscow Patriarchate. But that loyalty is now breaking down, with many clergy ceasing prayers for Kirill in their public worship in response to his failure to condemn the Russian invasion.

A top representative of Patriarch Bartholomew in the United States denounced Kirill's statements. “Unfortunately, calls for peace from Patriarch Kirill ring hollow when he blesses the invasion of a sovereign nation in the name of an imperialistic notion of ‘Russian World’ that is long dead,'" Archbishop Elpidophoros of Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America said in a statement.

He added that Bartholomew “granted a way forward to the Ukrainian Orthodox that was based in freedom, and we pray that when peace again reigns in their land, they will freely choose their own path forward.”

[PADA: Yep, people are going to choose their own path. You can try to bend them artificially, force them to worship the Patriarch or bogus GBC guru, but it won't last. ys pd]

(WHY THERE IS NO PEACE IN THE WORLD?)

Every man is engaged in sacrificing his interests for others, either in the form of family, society, community, country or the entire human society. But perfection of such sacrifices is attained when they are performed for the sake of the Supreme Person, the Lord. Because the Lord is the proprietor of everything, because the Lord is the friend of all living creatures, and because He is the maintainer of the performer of sacrifice, as well as the supplier of the ingredients of sacrifices, it is He only and no one else who should be satisfied by all sacrifices.

The whole world is engaged in sacrificing energy for advancement of learning, social upliftment, economic development and plans for total improvement of the human condition, but no one is interested in sacrificing for the sake of the Lord, as it is advised in the Bhagavad-gītā. Therefore, there is no peace in the world. If men at all want peace in the world, they must practice sacrifice in the interest of the supreme proprietor and friend of all.

Creating "smell of dead bodies" For Miles.
OK, like a Hamburger Restaurant?

[PADA: Tulsi Gabbard weighs in, sort of, but she gives us no clear idea / path how to get all these folks out of this mess. Most people are not mentioning how all this was enabled by funding and financing from the West.]

  2. "So you are suffering. You are maintaining so many slaughterhouses, and when it will be mature, there will be war, the wholesale murder. Finished. One atom bomb—finished. You'll have to suffer. Don't think that "Innocent animals, they cannot protest. Let us kill and eat." No. You'll be also punished. Wait for accumulation of your sinful activities, and there will be war, and the America will drop the atom bomb, and Russia will be finished. Both will be finished. Go on now enjoying. It takes time."
