PADA: Discussing the whole "ISKCON's illicit sex gurus" issue on chat with a European devotee recently. These are some of the points we discussed:

Srila Prabhupada says illicit sex desire is a form of mundane attraction -- which is found all over the material world, in demigods, humans, animals, even in the insect species. Sometimes this sex attraction in the insect world leads to one mate being killed and eaten by the other mate and so on. Such attraction is a sign that these souls are still conditioned and contaminated by material desires, in whatever species it is. 

Persons who are still trapped by material attractions are NOT to be considered as Krishna's liberated gurus and successors. When Nitai dasa mistakenly said that the guru does not need to be a pure devotee, Srila Prabhupada was very upset "who is that rascal"? And he had Nitai banned from ISKCON. 

Unfortunately, nowadays ISKCON leaders and many of their followers are preaching the rascal idea, that Krishna's "good as God gurus" are commonly falling down into this lusty attachment problem. Sometimes their "good as God gurus" are found engaged in illicit sex, drinking Vodka, taking LSD, selling designer drugs, eating chicken salads, and so forth, because they are preaching that Krishna's gurus are often -- more or less -- on the animal platform of consciousness. 

Thus their guru and a lusty dog might be basically on the same level -- at least evidently. Recently, the GBC's / India ICC people said they do not want to have us Westerners influencing the Krishna faith. Why? Self evidently because we Westerners will not worship lusty barking dogs / porno swamis / pedophiles / drunks and deviants as "God's successors," as the ICC folks are promoting.

However, Srila Prabhupada never wants us to consider that Krishna's successors are trapped by material illusion. Then again, Srila Prabhupada says a person who is trapped by illusion cannot liberate another trapped person, the conditioned soul has to worship the liberated soul to be free of material contamination.

Therefore, the conditioned souls have to remain trapped in the material world until they clear themselves of these illicit desires. That is because -- if they want to be in the spiritual world -- they cannot have any desire to exploit and enjoy other beings for their own gratification. Illicit sex desire is the desire to exploit other beings independently of God, or to enjoy other beings who are the property of God and so forth -- and thus -- this exploiting propensity is not allowed in the spiritual kingdom.

 

At the same time, we should almost expect that the religious neophytes will sometimes fall into illicit behaviors, as we see all over the world. This failure occurs with various India "Godmen," senior Bishops, Priests, Church councilmen, and prominent religion leaders -- often times caught falling into scandals. 

However, we should not confuse the failures and fall downs of the layman class / still conditioned Church leaders etc. with the perfected stage or liberated class of pure devotees of God. Normally, when a religious leader falls into scandals -- and his followers still think that leader is a great saint -- it is called a bogus and fanatical cult by most other folks. And they are right.  

Thus! When these desires manifest, we can observe that the victims of these desires are not yet pure devotees of God, but are still contaminated souls. Illicit sex desires are simply not found in actual pure devotees and gurus of God. Srila Prabhupada says the first qualification of the guru is -- he must be a resident of Krishna loka (God's planet) and that means he is free of all mundane attachments (anarthas), such as the desire for illicit sex. 

In short: there are no illicit sex problems in actual gurus, or on God's planet!   

In addition! The Vaishnava gurus in particular are often said to be serving in Krishna's spiritual, eternal and PURE (conjugal rasa) pastimes, and therefore it is forbidden to juxtapose / mix / combine / mundane sex attraction with these pure and eternal pastimes. We cannot identify a person who has these material contaminations as a member of Krishna's conjugal pastimes party. This is considered as Krishna-aparadha / guru-aparadha etc. (an offense). 

Nor can we mis-identify a pure person from the factual conjugal pastimes party as a conditioned soul, or a soul who still has mundane sex attraction. Srila Prabhupada says the guru is AN ASSISTANT of the conjugal affairs of Radha and Krishna (God and His consort) and thus we should never associate GOD and HIS gurus with mundane sex attraction. This mixing of material 'rasas' or loving exchanges and spiritual rasas is forbidden in many places and there are many citations on this topic in shastra.

Technically this devious artificial blending of mundane and spiritual desires is called "sahajiya" i.e. imitation or false devotees. And Srila Prabhupada says these sahajiyas are gliding to hell by their blending their mundane illicit sex desires platform with the purely spiritual platform. It is forbidden to think our material desires are spiritual and vice-versa. 

ISKCON's GBC's "succession" of "guru links" in their "illicit sex guru lineage" are often prone to fall into illicit behaviors. Generally, we do not even find animals to be falling as low as some of these ISKCON "gurus" -- some of whom have been found "engaged in illicit sex with men, women and children." These fallen behaviors are what we find in the post-1978 ISKCON GBC's "guru parampara: allegedly from heaven -- but even dogs are not commonly "engaged in illicit sex with men, women and children" -- because self-evidently animals have higher standards than the GBC / ICC bogus messiahs. 

Neither do the animals ban, beat, molest, sue and assassinate devotees of God -- as GBC's folks program has done! In other words, as a devotee named Sulochan said, these GBC gurus are not as advanced as dogs, because dogs do not engage in illicit sex with men, women and children. Nor do dogs orchestrate devotees to be beaten, molested, sued and murdered (and Sulochan later was assassinated by a "hit man" from their group).

A Dog is More Advanced 

Than ISKCON's Current Acharyas?

In short, even common animals do not ban, beat, molest, sue and assassinate -- devotees of God, or anyone else! Does that make animals more advanced than GBC and ICC "scholars"? According to shastra, yes. Anyone whose program bans, beats, molests, sues and kills Vaishnavas is WAY WORSE than animal life.

Why does the ISKCON GBC / ICC scholars hand select a lineage of illicit sex with men, women and children deviants / porno swamis / pedophiles / drunkards etc. to be their worshiped guru lineage by ISKCON's children? Where does Krishna say we have to worship their animal-like guru's behaviors to attain Him, such as their illicit sex guru deviants, which Srila Prabhupada compares to animal's having sex in the street -- like that of hogs, dogs, camels, asses, rabbits, pigeons etc. 

We need to worship animal's behaviors, or less than animal's behaviors, to attain God? And why doesn't the GBC / ISKCON ICC scholars know -- that dogs having sex in the street and God's successors, are not one and the same types of entities? Even any ordinary person walking on the street knows that lusty dogs, and / or people who behave like lusty dogs, are not, were not, could not have been -- God's successors and gurus!  

Moreover, material sex attraction is often described by Srila Prabhupada as an animalistic tendency, since animals are generally attracted to random sex with random sex partners. Therefore, Srila Prabhupada commonly said these illicit sex desires are often found in "hogs, dogs, camels, asses, rabbits, pigeons" etc. and are therefore part of animal consciousness, even when they manifest in human bodied persons.

He thus called the illicit sex attracted humans "animals with two legs."    

And when a person is NOT free of mundane sex attraction, he risks taking repeated births and deaths by staying in the material world. These births and deaths are NOT confined to the human species, in fact most life on earth is among the NON-HUMAN species. 

Therefore most of the time the fallen souls are NOT in a human body. Therefore mundane sex attraction is mainly part of the consciousness of the ANIMAL living beings. To say that this animal attraction behavior is found in God's gurus and successors is therefore VERY SINFUL and misleading. 

The residents of God's kingdom do NOT BEHAVE like animals in the mundane world. This is very, very damaging to people's religious sentiments to promote the idea that residents of God's Kingdom are often falling into ANIMAL behaviors. Anyway, there you have it! When GBC / India ICC etc. and their hand maidens like Lokanath swami / Bhakti vikas swami / Prahladananda swami / etc. see dogs having sex in the street, they evidently confuse that behavior with the behavior of God's guru successors. Animal behavior and the behavior of pure devotees should never be mixed, but this behavior will be mixed thanks to the sinful age of Kali yuga, which sends most of the residents down to hell. ys pd
