Macabre Mayapur 08 22 25

Macabre Mayapur

The infamous gurukula of ISKCON Mayapur.

Ex Bhaktividya Purna Swami or Mr Alan as we will call him for the purposes of this article, was for more than three decades the director of the terrifying gurukula of ISKCON Mayapur. Jayapataka initiated him in the order of sannyas by calling him Bhaktividya Purna(1987); Srila Prabhupada gave him Harinam initiation by calling him Anirdeshya Vapu das (1974) and his parents at birth named him Alan Ross Wexler (1955).

Amazing! How that American psychopath was in charge of that juvenile abuse center. In that sinister place, within the grounds of ISKCON, many minors were sexually abused by homosexual predators, adult men, sexually ill friends of Mr Alan Bhaktividya Purna, who enjoyed letting them vent their sexual aberrations with innocent creatures who had been handed over with blind trust to get proper 'vedic education' there.

ISKCON Mayapur's gurukula was a hook project used by Jayapataka to give that rural area of Bengal India great name, plagued with mosquitoes, culebras and drowned by annual floods. To emphasize the traditional "Vedic" spirit and training, students were subjected to an agressive and inclement lifestyle.

Living together in straw roof structures or huts, self-flagging under a speculation of the slogan of “simple living and elevated thinking” preached by Srila Prabhupada but in a practical way and in tune with the current times, not forcing creatures into a lifestyle to which they do not belong.

The curriculum of study was based on learning about rituals, philosophy and resilience. Interestingly, for some reason, graduates have experienced great difficulty integrating into society as self-sufficient individuals, as they lack the basis for further academic training.

At best, some of them survive by performing rituals or samskaras (when there are customers or festivals) or in commercial activities product of skills learned after the Gurukula period to survive humbly. Others returned to their countries where they work at gas stations, such as restaurant employees or construction workers, etc.

Jayapataka, for many years, in his world tours was given the task of promoting his precious project by inviting confident families to live in Mayapur or sending their children to be students of the gurukula providing them with protection and facilities that were not fulfilled. While Jayapataka lived surrounded by facilities and excessive worship in his penthouse, above a building adjacent to the temple watching everything around; a few meters away was the most terrible massacre of the infant innocence of innocents.

The adult friends of Mr Alan Bhaktividya Purna relished venting their twisted sexual lust with the students while Mr Alan went off beating his pupils mercilessly as disciplinary punishment for complaining / reporting the sadly happening privately or normal rebellions of children or teenagers. Mr Alan's most notorious foul was hitting students with his famous collection of bamboo sticks or turning deaf to reported sexual barbarities with evidence.

Both the Jayapataka local GBC and the international GBC did not intervene appropriately when they should have, until evidence of Mr Alan Bhaktividya Purna's sexual indecency with underage girls and young women was presented in a "special" gurukula for girls that he himself created and where I had a personal room to reside.

To the irresponsible and hollow vision of the leaders of ISKCON seems to be that the gross physical and psychological abuse that Mr Alan gave to the children, as well as his selfless attitude not protecting them from sex thirsty wolves, visitors friendly to the director; are not or were sufficient elements to intervene or punish, however breaking celibacy with minors of the opposite sex is a noteworthy offense.

Anyway, finally justice was served thanks to the pressure from the child protection office (OCPO); it can be said that Mr Alan is excommunicated from ISKCON, not wearing the sannyasi clothes anymore, yet there is still a group of blind followers and leadership characters in ISKCON such as Bhakti Vikas and Guru Prasad, among others, who always defended and will defend him.

The infamous Gurukula of ISKCON Mayapur, a macabre chapter among others of ISKCON mayapur.
