Nrsingha Chaitanya Departs

This morning around 10:30 a.m. our Godbrother Nrsingha Chaitanya prabhu left his body, from cardiac arrest. We found him lying peacefully in his bed in the MVT flat he was staying in for the last several months.

He had been regularly attending the morning program since his arrival. His passing here at Srila Prabhupada's home in Vrindavan is certainly glorious. I didn't know him in the past but here in Vrindavan I became aware that he was a very sweet and humble devotee who was loved by everyone. He never had a negative thing to say about anyone. He was a gentleman and a gentle soul.

I was his next-door neighbor for about the last six months. I never knew him before. He impressed me with his calm, peaceful nature. I am sad I didn't spend more time with him. 

I also must mention Mahadevi dasi Riggan who was there to see that his transition to Vrindavan was without difficulty. He was initiated by Srila Prabhupada in New Dwarka in April 1971. More information to follow when possible.

[PADA: Oh oh. When the GBC said -- not enough original Srila Prabhupada devotees are stepping up to be gurus, hence there is a major shortage of gurus, maybe they forgot --most of the God brothers have no interest. Wait! How many of them are even left on the planet these days? There were not that many in the first place, and it seems to me, many / most of them have already departed. If you guys are waiting for this lot to save the day, and save the hokey-fied guru system, you are dreaming. And more of them are departing all the time!

And after all the major tail spin crash and burn guru disasters, assorted scandals, lawsuits, assorted beatings, a major child molesting program which had to be sued for $400M, and maybe a few murders, and endless amounts of bad media, apa-siddhanta, and the overall Hindu-ized business model ISKCON has become, who wants to sign up? Neine danke!  

Anyway! I did not know this devotee. But let us all pray for the good fortune and future destination of this soul. Another humble guy who just did not want to deal with the mess? Anyway, we wish him all the best. God speed spirit soul. You are officially done with this place, and we hope you are going on to a much better one now. ys pd]
