Was the poison plot rationale "mercy killing"?

[PADA: Hmmm? Assuming that poison is going to be used for mercy killing, this is not very merciful -- to have a person killed by poison, period. This produces a very painful and prolonged death, even if its used for a short time. Poison produces all sorts of horrific internal bodily melt down processes. And some devotees have compared this to being crucified, only worse, because it can drag out longer, for months, or even years.

Perhaps that is why Srila Prabhupada said, my only request is, do not torture me and put me to death?

Then again, it was said that poison process had been going on "for a long time," as is alleged to have happened. Where is the mercy there? Then again, what if Srila Prabhupada never asked for any mercy killing, which is what also seems to be the case? The poisoning of a pure devotee is not something that is going to be taken lightly by Krishna and His agents. I do not think that any of these GBC people are ever going to get out of the shadow of this poison complaint being the root of their rise to absolute power in ISKCON. At some point they will have to confront the issue, because every one else will be.

The leaders will never live this down, and instead, more people are going to think, they are ALL part of that evil sabha. If any of these leaders wanted to hold the poison plotters accountable, the time is now to speak up. It will be too late to speak up when they end up in Yama's court. ys pd]
