Pants Update / Jayapataka's Karma Problem / Let the Show Go on! / 04 09 26

LET THERE BE PEACE

PADA: Believe it or not, I am a fan of peace.

====

PADA: Yes, M Dasi, this man is a fan of Hrdayananda. Yes, Hrdayananda keeps people in the guru / acharya / messiah post -- even when they find out their guru is having oral sex and / or they are having their disciples give them oral sex and /  or their gurus are having other forms of sex (Like Jayatirtha was doing). And as Hrdayananda's pal Giriraja has been getting oral sex from a female disciple.

Yes, it seems this Chandrashekhara / Cyril Wohrer fellow is saying: worshiping the GBC's oral sex and / or genital licking messiahs project is fine, as long as we are wearing pants? Wearing pants authorizes this form of worship? I know, WTF is he saying here?

You are correct. Shastra does not agree with them one iota. And worse -- shastra says nope, nope and nope! Illicit sex is punished by sending them to: Tāmisra — beaten, starved, tortured; Andhatāmisra — blindness, mental torment; Raurava — attacked by ruru beasts; forced embrace red hot forms, and so on and so forth.

Yep. Nowhere in shastra does it say worshiping illicit sex deviant guru's false religion projects is bona fide, as long as we are wearing pants. Yes, they are evidently trying to make it sound like worshiping their oral sex and genital licking guru project is authorized, if we have the worshiper wear the proper dress.

Yes, the GBC admits Giriraja has had a sex attraction problem. Therefore, yes, they are liars when they say this was all concocted by the ritviks. Yep, Chandrashekhar said he has no further comment on the issue.

Yes, silence means acceptance. Yes, Sulochana calls them "a semen sucking sampradaya." Yes, they killed him for exposing their real program. Yes, Giriraja is still the messiah and "a guru" in some sectors of ISKCON. Yes, even the mundane hamburger eaters would never worship illicit sex deviants, because they know it is MOST SINFUL.

But if we promote all this, we are fine. Why? God will forgive us and allow this worship, as long as we are WEARING PANTS. Hee hee! Is that what they are really saying here? Well, it looks like -- YUP! I am so glad that wearing pants will save people from promoting the semen sucking sampradaya, who knew!

The Guru of the Forty Thousand And Accepting Karma

In May 2013, during a discipleship retreat in New Talavan, Jayapataka Swami shared the following reflection:

"Some people ask me, 'Maharaja, do you feel pain because of your physical limitations?". 'And basically I don't think about it, but since they ask, for a minute I become body aware... and then i feel pain. And then I fixed my mind at the lotus feet of Krishna, at the lotus feets of Prabhupada. And i dont feel any pain anymore.

So somehow, there's always to be fixed at Krishna's lotus feet! Prabhupada said we should always remember Krishna and never forget him."

Words are inspiring at first glance. But Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy demands that they examine themselves rigorously, especially when they come from someone who has initiated more than forty thousand disciples. A dīkṣā guru is not just a spiritual motivator. According to tradition, when giving initiation the teacher accepts the karma of the disciple.

Srila Prabhupada explained it very clearly. The uncomfortable question is inevitable: who is genuinely absorbing the karmic burden of forty thousand people? Giving dīksā with such industrial generosity for decades suggests that initiation has become more of an institutional procedure than the sacred bond that the ācāryas described.

"For a minute I'll become body aware... and then i feel pain. “The sentence presents its usual state as that of someone situated beyond bodily consciousness, who can voluntarily descend to the material plane as one who opens and closes a window. This is affirming, without explicitly saying, a level of realization that neither Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati nor the Goswamis of Vrindavan proclaimed of themselves.

A sincere sādhaka would say "I struggle to keep my mind fixed on Krishna." A man who presents himself as a sthita-prajña in front of his disciples is, at a minimum, stepping on the dangerous ground of self-exaltation. “And then I fixed my mind at the lotus feet of Krishna.. and i dont feel any pain anymore.

"Philosophically, Krishna consciousness is not a painkiller." The Bhagavad-gita (2.13-14) teaches that the connoisseur of the field understands that pain belongs to the body and that it is not the body. It's not that the pain goes away; it's that it ceases to be relevant to the ātmā.

The description of Maharaja, however, presents the process as a technique: meditate and the pain goes away. This looks more like a meditative yoga practice than the transcendental understanding that is expected from a spiritual teacher of his position. The closure is eye-opening: "Prabhupada said that we should always remember Krishna and never forget Him."

The rhetorical structure is subtle yet significant. First comes the personal demonstration — me transmitting the pain — and then Prabhupada's quote for confirmation. The hierarchy is reversed: the disciple becomes the living evidence and the ācārya the footnote that validates the display.

Genuine teachers do exactly the opposite: they present the teaching of the Guru and place themselves as imperfect servants of that teaching. Bhaktivinoda Thakura identified prati Bhhā — the desire for recognition and prestige — as the most difficult anartha to detect because it is disguised as humility and service.

A public demonstration of transcendence before an audience of his own disciples, however soft the tone, is pratistha in its most refined form. None of this intends to judge the heart of a devotee. Philosophy alone asks us to apply the same rigor that the ācāryas applied: the words of a spiritual master must be consistent with the siddhānta, not just emotionally moving. And when forty thousand people depend spiritually on someone, that punishment is not optional.

Let the show continue!

Hare Krsna.

Krsna Cuisine, in San Vicente (Alicante), is currently functioning as a "temple". Presided by Kesava Bharati Dasa, though his real name is Cuesta. Hits him better. He is such a disgusting person that the devotees who have known him for years can't stand him. But ISKCON cannot change anything and has been dragged away by politics and hypocrisy. So long live theatre.

When it all started

I met him when I was 22 years old. At that time there were Nityananda, Yasodanandana with his wife and children, and once we were visited by Javier Pera (Yadu). I was immediately attracted to Hare Krsna chanting and philosophy.

I offered them selfless service and helped with the project, which at that time was a restaurant. I was cooking. I was cleaning up. Distributing advertisement among the students. He preached on the tram on the way to the restaurant every day.
But day after day I was discovering another hill. One who appeared pious on the outside and left a lot to be desired on the inside. I've never seen the slightest interest in recognizing his own flaws or correcting them.

It was imposing a neurotic cleanse. He don't know how to treat people. He doesn't even know the spiritual ABC. You should remember that this is a religion of people, as Krsna and His associates are people. Drop comments you don't expect from someone with years of practice.

The outcome was predictable Yasodanandana and his family ended up leaving with those who could maintain a healthy and spiritual association. I held on a little longer. I'm Done and Leaving Too.

Later I visited sometime. He was still the same. More devotees were passing by. No one would stay. A well-appointed center, with a large kitchen, large hall, ample space for temple and library. Always empty. Weird, isn't it? But many other ISKCON temples are also ghost towns.

I kept practicing on my own. And I became more and more convinced that this philosophy is true.

With years later I came back. There was a group of devotees and I related with some of them, nice people. But Cuesta was still just as petty. Since he had a relationship with others, he didn't care. I continued to do selfless services, offering them out of the pleasure of serving. We kept receiving a bummer treatment.

A few months ago I met a Brahmacari named Rasananda Sankirtan Das, disciple of Javier Pera, who in the society of "devotees" calls himself Yadu. I thought that his partnership was sincere.

I continued to attend. But there came a point where the scales tilted. The mistreatment of Cuesta weighed more than any association with the devotees. Their religious bigotry and lack of love ended up being imposed.

Costa is such a big liar. In one class he said he didn't relate to uninitiated people because he was contaminating himself. But the problem is that it's already contaminated. And without sincere association it will continue like this. He also wasn't related to the brahmacari, who stayed alone all week. The only company I was getting was my own on a day off and everyone else’s on Sunday.

Javier Pera and the accomplice silence

I complained to Yadu about Cuesta's behaviour. He didn't do anything. What a great king.

Javier Pera used to lick Cuesta's a** so he could preach in a dead and empty temple. I could totally see how I was being abused. He didn't care. I had found a comfortable place where I could manipulate and be worshipped by a gang of cheap thieves and spiritualists. In order to maintain that, everything was worth it.

The money disappears.

Just stopped going again. That was another ISKCON circus. I came back once again. And then it happened: the brahmacari was gone. I was told at the congregation that he was keeping the money from donations and the book sale. Javier sent him to another temple. His thing would have been to ban him until he returned the money. But since they almost don't deceive anyone, they settle for what comes to them. Thieves. Fanatics. Whatever it is.

For me it was a blow. Even though he had stopped going, he kept in touch with that brahmacari on the phone.

The awakening!

I barely woke up to the fact: our ISKCON authorities didn't practice what they preached. The devotees I was in a relationship with didn't text me once to know why I had stopped going. Not one. They are a reflection of superficial spirituality, of escape, not based on real practice.

My mistake was not wanting to see reality. And the reality was bitterly painful.
The conclusion is simple: one is better at home, chanting Hare Krsna, reading Srila Prabhupada's books and seeking the company of sincere devotees.
Hari Bol to all.

TODAY IS THE DISAPPEARANCE DAY OF SRILA ABHIRAMA GOPALA THAKURA

Shri Abhirama Gopal Thakura was also known as Shri Rama Das. He was a great Devotee of Lord Nityananda. On the order of Shri Nityananda Prabhu, he became a great acharya and preacher of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. He was a very influential personality, and atheists and blasphemers were very much afraid of him. Empowered by Shri Nityananda Prabhu, he was always in ecstasy and was kind to all fallen souls. It is siad that if he offered obeisances to any stone other than a shalagram-shila, it would immediately burst into pieces.

Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur writes, “There is a small town called Khanakula Krishnagar, in Hooghly district, where the Temple in which Sri Abhiram Thakur worshipped is situated. The Temple is located in Krishnanagar, near the kula (bank) of the khana (Dvarakeswar River). Therefore this place is celebrated as Khanakul Krishnanagar. The Deity in the temple is known as Gopinath and is extremely charming to behold. Gopinath appeared in a dream to Abhiram and told him “I am buried in the earth nearby. Please take me out and worship me.”

There is a big bakula tree outside the Temple. This place is known as siddha bakula kunj. It is said when Sri Abhiram Thakur came there, he sat down under this tree. In Khanakula Krishnanagar there is a big fair held every year in the month of Chaitra (March-April) on the saptami of the dark fortnight, Krishna saptami.

The local legend about Sri Abhiram Thakur is as follows. One day in Dwapara yuga, Krishna, Balaram and their cowherd friends were playing hide-and-seek in the woods of Vrindavan. Suddenly, Krishna remembered Nadia and wanted to go there and enjoy some pastimes there. Taking Balaram and all their friends with Him, He advented in Navadwip. Somehow, Sridama got left behind in Vraja and remained in his hiding place in a cave.

When everyone was performing kirtan in Navadwip, Gauranga Mahaprabhu suddenly remembered Sridam. Horripilating in ecstatic love, He shed tears and called out “Ah Sridam, where shall I find you now?” and he fell unconscious.

Nityananda Prabhu lifted Him on to his lap and brought Him back to consciousness. When asked the reason for His distress, Mahaprabhu said, “Where is Sridam? Tell me where he is! I will go immediately and bring him!” Mahaprabhu further revealed to Nityananda, “He is living in Vrindavan – go there and bring him here quickly! I am heart broken in his absence.”

Pacifying Sri Gauranga, Nityananda Prabhu assured Him that he would find Sridam and bring him back to Navadwip. Nitai Rama set out and eventually reached Govardhan area in Vraja. Nityananda Prabhu was wearing his usual blue dhoti and anga-vastra and had his hair tied in a knot on the top of his head.

Arriving near Govardhan hill, Nityananda started calling out, “Sridam!” again and again. Finally Sridam came out of the cave to see who was calling him. Seeing the strange man dressed in blue, Sridam asked “Who are you? Why are you calling me?” Nityananda introduced himself as Balaram and said that His name was previously “Balai”.

However, Sridam had a doubt in his mind due to the different appearance and get-up of Nityananda. (The stature of people in Dwapara yuga was much taller than the people in Kali yuga). Sridam said, “If you are really Balai, then you should be as powerful as Him. I shall clap my hands and run. If you are truly Balai, then you will be able to catch me.”

Hearing this, Nitai said, “Run if you must. Let’s see how far you will be able to go.” Clapping his hands, Sridam said, “Ha Balai, you will not be able to catch me!”

Sridam gopal then tied his cloth tightly between his legs in the manner of a wrestler and began to run around Govardhan Hill. After circumambulating Sri Giriraj four times, he looked back to see if Nityananda had caught up with him. Seeing that Nitai had kept pace, he thought “This is indeed Balaram!”

Sridam said, “You must be tired, my friend. Take some rest now. Since I did not see your form of Balaram I had some doubt in my mind. But you went around Govardhan Giri four times! Who else but Balai has the energy to do that!” Then he asked, “Tell me why have you come looking for me?”

Nityananda replied “Krishna fell unconscious because He could not see you!” Sridam asked, “Where has Kanai gone?” Nityananda replied, “Now everyone has gone to Navadwip. If you will accompany me, we will have some special pastimes there. Come quickly!”

Sridam said, “No, I shall not go. Going with you means that I will have to live in someone’s womb there. Considering the pain, who wants to live in that condition! I will not go.”

Nityananda said, “Just come with me and let us discuss the matter with Kanai. You can remain for now, as you are.”

Sridam laughed and said, “Alright then, carry me on your shoulders! All that running has made me tired.” Nitai said, “If I refuse, then you will go around telling everyone that I could not carry you because of the difference in our respective sizes. You are the chief amongst us cowherd boys. Please consider that you should be sympathetic about the happiness and distress of others.”

Sridam said, “Well.. you and I are just the same. You very well know that when Krishna’s side loses, I sometimes carry you on my back!” Nityananda replied, “Everyone knows that you are subjugated by Kanai’s love. None of the pastimes that happen in Vraja by day or by night are unknown to you. All the other cowherd boys always sing your praises. Come now. Let us go and meet Gauranga. All the twelve gopalas (twelve intimate associates of Lord Nityananda, who are the expansions of the twelve primary cowherd boys, gopas, in Krishna lila) and sixty-four mahantas (64 Devotees that are considered to be the most confidential associates of Mahaprabhu) know you and sing your praises.

Hearing these words, Sridam went and got dressed. He dressed himself in a very enchanting way. The beauty of his hair, dress and cowherder’s paraphernalia was extremely attractive. Abhiram Gopala Thakur
You should know that my form as Krishna Chaitanya is the very same as my form of Krishna. Gaura-lila and Krishna lila are one. In Gaura-lila, I and my associates have assumed the role of Devotees and are relishing the mellows of love of Krishna.

Soon the two of them approached Navadwip. When Sri Gauranga saw that they had arrived, He embraced Sridam and started talking to him. “Where have you been? What kind of bliss were you in that I had to send Nityananda to bring you here?!”

Sridam asked, “Tell me the reason for your appearance here. Why do you all have shaven heads and wear these rags. Seeing your condition breaks my heart.”

Mahaprabhu explained, “Sridam, with the end of Dwapara yuga, the influence of Kali began. In this age, renunciation is proper.” Sridam said, “I don’t understand. Please explain.” In the mood of Krishna, Mahaprabhu said, “There are four yugas, Satya, Treta, Dwapara and Kali. In Dwapara, Krishna is svayam Bhagavan. In Kali yuga, He incarnates as Sri Krishna Chaitanya. Now in the beginning of Kali yuga, I shall reveal this truth which is also mentioned in the sastras. You should know that my form as Krishna Chaitanya is the very same as my form of Krishna. Gaura-lila and Krishna lila are one. In Gaura-lila, I and my associates have assumed the role of Devotees and are relishing the mellows of love of Krishna. Now my name is Krishna Chaitanya and from today you will be known as Abhiram.

Nityananda Prabhu called everyone and smiling said, “From today, he will be known as Abhiram. We have kept this name since it indicates that there is no difference between Sridam and me. [Abhiram = to be known as “Rama”.]

After the disappearance of Mahaprabhu and Nityananda Prabhu, Abhiram Thakur continued to live with Virbhadra Gosai, Nityananda Prabhu’s son. By the grace of Nityananda Prabhu, Abhiram Thakur became a great Acharya and preacher of the Chaitanya cult of devotional service. It is said Abhiram Thakur had a whip named “Jaya Mangala” and that whomever he touched with it would immediately become a devout Krishna Bhakta.

Vande ‘ham sri sri gopinath mahaprabhur vijayate
Yatraabhiraamo mahaan goswami sri yuta paadakamalam
Maalini sahitam shaktyaavataaram sahagana-charanaambuje
Sadaa sharanam iti

Obeisances to Sri Sri Gopinath (the worshipful Deity of Sri Abhiram Thakur)
All glories to Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu!
May I always meditate on the lotus feet of the great Abhiram Goswami,
The empowered incarnation, along with his spouse Malini and other associates
Again and again I take shelter of their lotus feet.

One day while overwhelmed in the ecstasy of sakhya rasa (loving friendship), Abhirama wanted to play a flute like a cowherd boy. After searching the forest he found a log which sixteen men couldn't move. Astounding everyone, Abhirama grabbed the log, made it into a flute, and played it. In the mood of a cowherd boy Abhirama Gopala carried a bull whip named Jaya Mangala. Anyone who touched it became infused with Krishna prema. It's said Srinivasa Acarya received pure love of Krishna in this way.

Abhirama Gopala was a powerful acarya of Gaudiya Vaisnavism. Atheists and blasphemers would flee in terror upon seeing him. He was Lord Nityananda's most vigorous preacher. Learned in all the scriptures, he also excelled in music, song, dance. Abhirama used his home for preaching and serving Vaishnava pilgrims, not for sleeping. His house resounded with kirtana and Krishna katha, and was often visited by pure Devotees. His samadhi is in 64 Samadhis Area.
