CHANDRASHEKHAR / Cyril Wohrer is bi-polar.
PADA: Right, I should go light on the poor guy! OK prabhu, he might be mentally unstable for all I know. What I do know is that there are millions of bi-polar folks here in the USA, but none of them are acting as proxies / promoters / agents and apologists for an illicit sex messiah's sampradaya. I think this is another excuse for justifying their bad behavior.
There are lots of insane people in prison. They still have to answer for their crimes. This is the same lame excuse they are using for their Giriraja problem, well yes he is having an affair with a female, but he has mental problems. Sorry, people with mental problems do not promote themselves as messiahs and get their disciples to give them oral sex.
This is all rationalizing their crimes. I do not think this argument will work on Yama loka either. There are many court criminals who plead "I did not know what I was doing." OK, but someone has to be held to account for our bad behavior, and it is most likely going to be -- ourselves! Hee hee! ys pd

BANGALORE AND THE JAIPUR COW'S PROJECT
BANGALORE AND THE JAIPUR COW'S PROJECT
PADA: Yes, the Bangalore group was given the Jaipur government's cows because there was widespread mistreating of these cows by the previous government employees. So the Jaipur state handed over the government cow program to the Jaipur / Bangalore group.
Yet as soon as Kris Drboy and Bhaktavatsal etc. find out the cows in Jaipur are being helped, and the cows are no longer sick, not being fed, suffering and dying, they are against the Bangalore group of people going in to help and save those cows. Same thing as the HKC Jaipur and Mathura Pati / Prabhupadanugas EU folks. As soon as they see cows are happy, they are not happy. But Krishna says He is happy when His cows are happy. That is His system and I am for it.
In other words, they are against helping cows and want these poor animals to continue to suffer and die. It is hard to fathom why any "devotees" would be against saving and helping cows?
At the same time, when children are being starved, mistreated, and are even taking their lives from all the trauma, saving them is also another nonsense. Because? It is "mundane courts and is not spiritual." Why do living entities always have to suffer and die under these guys plan? Same thing with HKC Jaipur, oh no, PADA is saving children from being starved, beaten and raped, that is horrible. Well sorry, it is horrible for children to follow their plan to enable all this.
Here in California we have maybe 2,500 animal welfare foundations that care for various animals. Even the hamburger eating people never say, oh we need to shut down an animal welfare program! It is getting donations from bad people. Shut it down! And make the animals suffer and die. No one does that because every normal person knows, shutting down animal welfare programs harms the animals.
And they do not want to look sick, cruel and foolish by demanding we shut animal welfare programs down. So they never come out and say -- we need to stop these animal welfare programs so we can harm the animals and make them suffer, and die. You guys have dedicated your lives to shutting down an animal welfare program?
Then you wonder why the public is not happy with the Krishna religion? I still have not even seen Kris Drboy saving one lost cat in the meantime? Yep, animals have to suffer and die, children also suffer and die, so that Krishna Drboy and Bhaktavatsal can sit around counting their karma free money, which has the same karma as everyone else's money.
The Gaudiya Matha people said collecting money in the airports means abortion doctors are giving money to ISKCON, and Srila Prabhupada said -- they are envious. Why do living entities always need to suffer and die with you people? ys pd
PADA: My idea is pretty simple. These Jaipur cows are in good shape now, the Jaipur agricultural department gave the cows a clean slate, when they were previously in very bad shape. To say we do not want cows to be helped, and we want them to suffer, because helping cows will be taking "dirty corporate money," is not a good excuse to make them suffer.
My idea is to help and protect cows and NOT let them suffer. If someone wants cows to suffer because they do not want to take "dirty money" from someone they do not like, that makes no sense to me. If I can get money from somewhere to help cows, I will do that. I want to see cows not suffer.
But these same people complained I was making "dirty money" driving a taxi. So I should not be helping Krishna's children with my dirty taxi job money, I should let children suffer. What is wrong with these people?
Meanwhile Bhaktavatsal's pal Kris Drboy says my helping kids is foolish because I am using karmi courts to stop child mistreatment, which he says "is material and not spiritual." Helping Krishna's kids is material? So again same thing, they want children to suffer as well as cows suffer.
But Kris Drboy already answered his own question. The reason that a big cow program has to be given to a big program is, it takes a big program to run a big cow program. That is why Kris and Bhaktavatsal did not get these cows granted to them by the Jaipur government.
They gave the cows to the Bangalore group because it takes a big program to run a big program. Now he is angry and upset that these cows are not suffering. So this is not my program, I am in favor of cows and children not suffering. And to say we need to make cows and children suffer is also not the Vedic principle that I follow. ys pd

HAVING CHILDREN IN USA
Yes prabhu. There are almost no kids in the SF parks here. And no, welfare does not pay $3700 for a 1br flat with no parking. But yeah after Reagan dropped trade controls on China -- millions and millions of the American middle class jobs all went to China. Their middle class is growing, ours is depleting. And it is getting worse because China is making renewable energy products that the world wants while we are still trying to revive coal.
Stopping oil from the Persian Gulf has given some China companies a huge bonus -- some report a ten year back up of orders for renewables. Those jobs are in China and not here. And until we get serious about making a modern economy, or get everyone into some other form of producing sellable products, people will not be able to afford kids in the USA. And now since the tarrifs added $200 a month and Persian oil loss is another $200 a month, having kids has become even harder. We are doing everything we can to make having kids out of reach for the average young couple. ys pd

IRAN IS A MESS UPDATE
Matt K. Lewis: Talk about whiplash. After issuing apocalyptic threats of destroying bridges and power plants (i.e., war crimes) and even ending Persian civilization itself (which some speculated meant a nuclear strike), President Trump suddenly backed away from bombing Iran “back to the Stone Ages” just in time to embrace a two-week ceasefire.
Only time will tell whether the tenuous deal collapses or evolves into a lasting agreement. Perhaps it will join the growing list of Trump’s deadlines that just seem to evaporate. You know the ones: “15 days to slow the spread” and that ever-imminent healthcare plan perpetually just two weeks away. As Trump likes to say, we’ll see what happens.
Regardless, Trump is now claiming “total and complete victory,” a boast that feels a little like me declaring I’ve successfully completed a diet because I briefly stopped eating a slice of pie. But even assuming this ceasefire holds, it’s worth asking: What exactly have we won?
Iran’s regime remains in place, with every incentive to regroup, rebuild and resume its nuclear ambitions (it still has nearly 1,000 pounds of highly enriched uranium) and its support for terrorism. And then there’s the Strait of Hormuz, which was open for business before Trump launched this war.
In the last several weeks, Iran has demonstrated it can choke off one of the world’s most vital energy arteries any time it wants. And now — if this ceasefire deal holds — it gets to charge massive amounts of rent for passage. (Note: I place Trump’s assertion that charging a toll will be a “joint venture” in the same category as his insistence that Mexico will pay for the wall.)

And now — if this ceasefire deal holds — it gets to charge massive amounts of rent for passage. (Note: I place Trump’s assertion that charging a toll will be a “joint venture” in the same category as his insistence that Mexico will pay for the wall.)
Throw in the American casualties, the financial cost of the war and the loss of credibility that comes from deciding to cut and run, and I’m not sure America could sustain too many more of these “total and complete” victories.
And these aren’t the only costs we’ve incurred. The more underrated cost is domestic: the psychological toll that Americans have endured this last month or so. Consider waking up on Easter Sunday to a presidential message that veers from profanity to “Praise be to Allah" to threats of mass destruction.
Sure, Trump has been jerking us around like this for a decade. But nothing could have prepared us for the wild oscillations — coupled with the high stakes — we have recently weathered. Think of it. One day we’ve already won the war; the next, Iran has just 48 hours before … complete annihilation.
One day the Strait of Hormuz must be opened or else; then, another reprieve. Then, we don’t care if the strait is opened, since we don’t need the oil anyway (let Europe open it). Finally, we were given multiple moving deadlines, including one threatening that “a whole civilization will die tonight.” Then we got TACO (“Trump Always Chickens Out”) Tuesday.
The result is a national nervous system that’s been put through a blender. To be sure, Trump apologists argue this was all part of Trump’s brilliant “madman theory” — that his unpredictability is all part of Trump’s “Art of The Deal” negotiation strategy with Iran.
Even by those standards, the results do not suggest that this game of “three-dimensional chess” worked. Regardless, it’s easy to imagine that Trump’s erratic behavior is taking a toll on Americans. And even if you dismiss the psychological trauma individuals have endured, there are also political and societal ramifications. Imagine what this does to the collective social fabric.
Humans can’t perpetually stay on high alert. So when every statement sounds like it could trigger World War III — but then nothing happens — one response is to become inured to the chaos. And once those outrage receptors burn out, we won’t magically reset to normal if and when a serious, competent leader finally emerges.
Which raises an uncomfortable question: After years of this high-drama, reality-show version of governance, could a normal, competent politician even hold our attention? For those who aren’t conditioned to crave copious amounts of drama, the other temptation during and after a dramatic rein is to tune out entirely.
At the individual level, that’s a logical way to preserve your sanity. At the macro level, it’s mass suicide. Especially when you consider the types of people most likely to check out are the most sane, sensitive and moderate. Then again, Trump may see American apathy as a feature, not a bug.
As “Autocracy, Inc.” author Anne Applebaum has warned, “With autocrats … what they want is for you to be disengaged. They want you to drop out. They want you to become overwhelmed, and they want you to … say, I can't do anything. It’s all hopeless.” If that was the goal, then the result isn’t just chaos — it’s exhaustion. It’s millions of Americans who feel powerless and frantic, or defeated and resigned. In other words, “Mission Accomplished.”
Matt K. Lewis is the author of “Filthy Rich Politicians” and “Too Dumb to Fail.”
This story originally appeared in Los Angeles Times.
PADA: Lots of people in ISKCON told me the same thing. All the GBC guru drama and chaos is making them feel exhausted and tuned out. They just cannot deal with it anymore. The leaders want us to give up, be disengaged and drop out. Then they can just order up whatever they like with no opposition. Well, that works pretty good for them. I cannot predict where the Iran thing is going, but it already looks pretty much of a mess. But we knew it would be a mess the whole time, and it would take a lot of time, money, manpower and resources to extricate ourselves -- didn't we? ys pd
Yep, we knew all along exactly what would be the result here.

The Cause of Confusion and Dissension in the Krishna Consciousness Movement
1. Not following Srila Prabhupada's orders / discipline.
"When disciples do not stick to the principle of accepting the order of their spiritual master, immediately there are two opinions. Any opinion different from the opinion of the spiritual master is useless. One cannot infiltrate materially concocted ideas into spiritual advancement. That is deviation. There is no scope for adjusting spiritual advancement to material ideas." (Caitanya-caritamrta Adi 12.9 purport)
"The Māyāvādī philosophers, they want to become one. "One" means you agree to the Supreme. That is oneness. Just like we are conducting this international society. We have got many workers, many disciples, but we are one. "One" means they are carrying their spiritual master's order. Therefore they are one." (Lecture on SB 3.26.25 -- Bombay, January 2, 1975)
"Unless one is firmly fixed in the regulative principles, one may perform mischievous acts, even if one is a member of the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement. We therefore advise our disciples to strictly follow the regulative principles; otherwise the most important movement for the upliftment of humanity will be hampered due to dissension among its members. Those who are serious about pushing forward this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement should remember this and strictly follow the regulative principles so that their minds will not be disturbed." (SB 5.14.35)
PURPORT
"Śrī Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Gosvāmī, at the time of his passing away, ordered all his disciples to work conjointly to preach the mission of Caitanya Mahāprabhu all over the world. Later, however, some self-interested, foolish disciples disobeyed his orders. Each one of them wanted to become head of the mission, and they fought in the courts, neglecting the order of the spiritual master, and the entire mission was defeated." (CC Adi 7.95-96, Purport)
"Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, at the time of his departure, requested all his disciples to form a governing body and conduct missionary activities cooperatively. He did not instruct a particular man to become the next ācārya. But just after his passing away, his leading secretaries made plans, without authority, to occupy the post of ācārya, and they split into two factions over who the next ācārya would be. Consequently, both factions were asāra, or useless, because they had no authority, having disobeyed the order of the spiritual master.
Despite the spiritual master's order to form a governing body and execute the missionary activities of the Gauḍīya Maṭha, the two unauthorized factions began litigation that is still going on after forty years with no decision." (CC Adi 12.8, Purport)
CC Adi 12.10, Translation and Purport: The order of the spiritual master is the active principle in spiritual life. Anyone who disobeys the order of the spiritual master immediately becomes useless.
Here is the opinion of Śrīla Kṛṣṇadāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī. Persons who strictly follow the orders of the spiritual master are useful in executing the will of the Supreme, whereas persons who deviate from the strict order of the spiritual master are useless.
"We have got practical experience how a great institution was lost by whimsical ways. Without carrying out the order of the spiritual master, they manufactured something and the whole thing was lost." (Lecture on SB 1.2.11 -- Vrndavana, October 22, 1972)
"The central point is the order of the Spiritual Master, and I am very glad that you are trying to give importance to this aspect of management. The difficulty is sometimes things are interpreted in a manner dovetailing one's own sense gratification. I have got this personal experience in my Guru Maharaja's institution. Different Godbrothers took the words of Guru Maharaja in different interpretations for sense gratification and the whole mission disrupted. This is still going on for the last 40 years without any proper settlement." (Letter to disciple -- Tittenhurst 18 October, 1969)
"There may be different orders for different disciples, but a disciple should take the order of the spiritual master as his life: "Here it is, the order. So let me execute it without any deviation." That will make him perfect. Just see, the Caitanya Mahāprabhu's, this is His instruction. He says, ei ājñā pāñā nāma la-i anukṣaṇa. He did not think, "Oh, My spiritual master thought Me a fool, rascal (CC Adi 7.71).
Oh, why I am rascal? Let Me see Vedānta-sūtra. Why shall I not see?" Oh, that is rascaldom again. That is rascaldom again. You cannot deviate the order of the spiritual master by an inch if you really want success." (Lecture on CC Adi-lila 7.76-81 -- San Francisco, February 2, 1967)
2. Not reading Srila Prabhupada's books / Hearing from Srila Prabhupada
“All the devotees connected with this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement must read all the books that have been translated (Caitanya-caritāmṛta, Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Bhagavad-gītā and others); otherwise, after some time, they will simply eat, sleep and fall down from their position. Thus they will miss the opportunity to attain an eternal, blissful life of transcendental pleasure.”
(Chaitanya-caritamrta Madhya-lila 25.278 (Original, Unrevised) : Purport by Srila Prabhupada)
"I think that the best thing for you is to study our books very carefully and then try to write something. Do not try to concoct your own theories. This is not the process. You must write just as you have heard from your Guru and nothing else. Otherwise, your writing is useless." (Letter to: Bhakta Dennis -- Mayapur 8 April, 1975)
"First thing is that one must understand Srimad-Bhagavatam fully. The first verse, if you simply explain, will take volumes and volumes. So, please study my books intensely and do not fail to chant 16 rounds daily following the four regulative principles strictly. This will make everything perfect." (Letter to: Aticandra -- Bombay 4 January, 1975)
"The service of the spiritual master is essential. If there is no chance to serve the spiritual master directly, a devotee should serve him by remembering his instructions. There is no difference between the spiritual master's instructions and the spiritual master himself. In his absence, therefore, his words of direction should be the pride of the disciple." (Caitanya-caritamrta Adi 1.35 Purport)
“If one thinks that there are many pseudo devotees or nondevotees in the Kṛṣṇa Consciousness Society, one can keep direct company with the spiritual master, and if there is any doubt, one should consult the spiritual master. However, unless one follows the spiritual master’s instructions and the regulative principles governing chanting and hearing the holy name of the Lord, one cannot become a pure devotee. By one’s mental concoctions, one falls down. By associating with nondevotees, one breaks the regulative principles and is thereby lost.” (Cc Madhya-lila 19.157)
3. On the whole: Not serious about Krishna Consciousness
TEXT 41

SYNONYMS
vyavasāyātmikā—resolute Kṛṣṇa consciousness; buddhiḥ—intelligence; ekā—only one; iha—in this world; kuru-nandana—O beloved child of the Kurus; bahu-śākhāḥ—various branches; hi—indeed; anantāḥ—unlimited; ca—also; buddhayaḥ—intelligence; avyavasāyinām—of those who are not in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
TRANSLATION
Those who are on this path are resolute in purpose, and their aim is one. O beloved child of the Kurus, the intelligence of those who are irresolute is many-branched.
PURPORT
A strong faith in Kṛṣṇa consciousness that one should be elevated to the highest perfection of life is called vyavasāyātmikā intelligence. The Caitanya-caritāmṛta states:
'śraddhā'-śabde viśvāsa kahe sudṛḍha niścaya
kṛṣṇe bhakti kaile sarva-karma kṛta haya
kṛṣṇe bhakti kaile sarva-karma kṛta haya
Faith means unflinching trust in something sublime. When one is engaged in the duties of Kṛṣṇa consciousness, he need not act in relationship to the material world with obligations to family traditions, humanity, or nationality. Fruitive activities are the engagements of one's reactions from past good or bad deeds. When one is awake in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, he need no longer endeavor for good results in his activities.
When one is situated in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, all activities are on the absolute plane, for they are no longer subject to dualities like good and bad. The highest perfection of Kṛṣṇa consciousness is renunciation of the material conception of life. This state is automatically achieved by progressive Kṛṣṇa consciousness. The resolute purpose of a person in Kṛṣṇa consciousness is based on knowledge
("Vāsudevaḥ sarvam iti sa mahātmā sudurlabhaḥ") by which one comes to know perfectly that Vāsudeva, or Kṛṣṇa, is the root of all manifested causes.
As water on the root of a tree is automatically distributed to the leaves and branches, in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, one can render the highest service to everyone—namely self, family, society, country, humanity, etc. If Kṛṣṇa is satisfied by one's actions, then everyone will be satisfied.
Service in Kṛṣṇa consciousness is, however, best practiced under the able guidance of a spiritual master who is a bona fide representative of Kṛṣṇa, who knows the nature of the student and who can guide him to act in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. As such, to be well-versed in Kṛṣṇa consciousness one has to act firmly and obey the representative of Kṛṣṇa, and one should accept the instruction of the bona fide spiritual master as one's mission in life.
Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākur instructs us, in his famous prayers for the spiritual master, as follows:
yasya prasādād bhagavat-prasādo
yasyāprasādānna gatiḥ kuto 'pi
dhyāyaṁ stuvaṁs tasya yaśas tri-sandhyaṁ
vande guroḥ śrī-caraṇāravindam.
yasyāprasādānna gatiḥ kuto 'pi
dhyāyaṁ stuvaṁs tasya yaśas tri-sandhyaṁ
vande guroḥ śrī-caraṇāravindam.
"By satisfaction of the spiritual master, the Supreme Personality of Godhead becomes satisfied. And by not satisfying the spiritual master, there is no chance of being promoted to the plane of Kṛṣṇa consciousness. I should, therefore, meditate and pray for his mercy three times a day, and offer my respectful obeisances unto him, my spiritual master."
The whole process, however, depends on perfect knowledge of the soul beyond the conception of the body—not theoretically but practically, when there is no longer chance for sense gratification manifested in fruitive activities. One who is not firmly fixed in mind is diverted by various types of fruitive acts. Bhagavad-gita As It Is 2.41
“After receiving the spiritual master’s mercy, one must repeat his instructions, and this is called śravaṇa-kīrtana-hearing and chanting. One who has not properly heard from the spiritual master or who does not follow the regulative principles is not fit for chanting (kīrtana). This is explained in Bhagavad-gītā (2.41): vyavasāyātmikā buddhir ekeha kuru-nandana. One who has not listened carefully to the instructions of the spiritual master is unfit to chant or preach the cult of devotional service. One has to water the bhakti-latā-bīja after receiving instructions from the spiritual master.” (CC Madhya 19.152)
The quotes used in this compilation have been taken from Srila Prabhupada's original, unrevised books and teachings.
