Subject: Filing of Complaint regarding Systemic Child Abuse in ISKCON Institutions before Competent Authorities in India
Respected Members of the Board,
We write to formally inform you that pursuant to your instructions and under the authority vested in us by you, we have filed a detailed and comprehensive complaint dated 19-07-2025 regarding the serious instances of child abuse and systemic violations of child rights within ISKCON-run Gurukuls, Ashrams, Temples, and affiliated institutions in India.
The complaint has been submitted on behalf of the Justice for Srila Prabhupada Foundation to the competent authorities including law enforcement agencies
The complaint spans over 850 pages along with multiple annexures, comprising:
Child Protection Office (CPO) reports of ISKCON;
Survivor statements;
Statements of Child Rights Activists;
Psychological expert assessments;
Documentary evidence corroborating sexual, physical, and psychological abuse within ISKCON premises;
Documentary proof of systemic cover-up by ISKCON’s Governing Body Commission (GBC) and senior leaders;
Specific violations of POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, IPC, and applicable child protection statutes.
We have sought criminal prosecution of the offenders, dismantling of the institutional cover-up machinery, audit of the institutions of the ISKCON and a rehabilitative framework for victims funded by ISKCON amongst other reliefs.
We remain committed to pursuing this matter in accordance with the law and are prepared to initiate further legal proceedings, should the authorities fail to take timely and effective action.
We will keep you regularly informed of all subsequent developments and responses from the concerned authorities as soon as received. Please feel free to contact us for any further clarification or assistance in this regard.

KJ: ISKCON's misleaders and their blind followers who protected the poisoners and child abusers, need to get exposed or jailed in an Indian prison.
PK: Who is the Justice For Srila Prabhupada Foundation?
DK: 850 pages. Does anything else need to be said on how pervasive this tragedy has been?
BR: Whoa!
GP: I am hoping they go after the offenders and get them to pay for the crimes, rather than going after the institution of iskcon, leaving the abusers to escape again and having us members pay for the crimes of the abusers like on previous occasions. Please do NOT burden the regular devoties with the debt of child abusers. PLEASE only go after the abusers in person.
CE: How did that work out for the Anglican and Catholic Churches?
BB: Hard to separate the institution from the heads. Almost always the company suffers when the managers are sued. The Church also suffers. That means the leaders are using ISKCON as a legal shield to protect them individually.
AP: Hoping this time something will happen, and some of these abusers and their supporting leaders will go to jail. This has gone on way too long, many victims are now dead.
VP: Finally somebody takes real action! I am sure you will be blessed with success! Justice to the children!
A Dasa Acbsp: This demonstrates that the safest action for both managers and victims is to immediately report child sex abusers to the local police and let them handle it instead of irresponsibly hushing it up for reputation sake.
Not following this mandatory local law in most countries has inflicted very heavy financial losses on Srila Prabhupada's Iskcon and has enabled an increase of child sex abuse causing untold suffering to Srila Prabhupada's Vaikuntha children.
PADA: Yeah in 1979 Jayapataka ordered me to take his program to court, and he had me removed for complaining about the ISKCON child welfare. Later on their enforcers came to Berkeley, and the FEDS told me -- they came here to take you to your grave, but we have been tapping their phones, otherwise you would be six feet under already. So it is amazing that Jayapataka program has to be countered with lawsuits, and no small amount of help from the FEDS, to stop their child mistreatment process, and save us dissenters from an early grave. The good news is that we won our case here, which makes a legal precedent there. I wanna help these guys! ys pd
BR: Hope Iskcon doesn't try to bribe their way out, as usual.
SK Devi Dasi: Awesome! At last!
AC: This is great news! I hope he has a bodyguard, or maybe a few.
MML: Prayers for a successful outcome.
GP: Good news. Have individuals (eg Bhavananda, Satadanya, etc) been named as defendants in the complaint?
SRD: Don't know.
GP: What is the desired outcome of the complaint? Has this been specified? I appreciate and morally support the action, but wouldn't mind knowing what they hope to achieve, specifically. This is unclear.
BD: Very sad indeed that Srila Prabhupad's home will come to all his children fighting in courts. When all the senior God brothers could have come together and follow Srila Prabhupad instructions as best as possible for the future of the movement. He even warned us of this fighting.
SRD: It is both sad and telling that for the most part ISKCON has only taken child protection seriously in response to legal and financial threats. I cannot think of any instance where ISKCON's leadership took substantive measures to protect children that weren't prompted by external pressures.
PADA: GOODY! I helped the Turley case and if they need my help now, I will gladly help! It is amazing that Jayapataka already told me in 1979 that he wanted us to sue his program for millions of dollars in court, and he directly ordered me "take us to court."
Rather than follow my advice to care for the children (free advice not costing ISKCON a dime), he told me directly he wanted these multi-million lawsuits to be engaged. Then the Jayapataka people complained to me that I am more expensive than the TOVP, costing them $100,000,000 in legal. When we started having the GBC sued for $400,000000, in 1999 they suddenly pledged $1,000,000 for child welfare. Simultaneously, they launched a $20,000,000 lawsuit to shut down a program that feeds poor children in India.
Then around 2001, the Mayapur folks sent out a plea to get funds for children's shoes. Then the Jayapataka people wrote to me complaining me helping these lawsuits is costing them $100,000,000. In other words, their main expense is to make sure lawyers have Luis Vuitton outfits, and not child welfare, or even shoes evidently, which is for sure a back burner priority. And this is all being done intentionally, and we know that.
No one spends $100,000,000 by accident. If this money had been spent on children and not Luis Vuitton outfits for lawyers, none of this would have happened. And blaming me for all this is very silly when Jayapataka ordered me to use the karmi courts in 1979. Then when we followed his orders, and sued his program, he was yelling at me in 1997. He is evidently not happy when anyone follows his directives. I am following his orders, and his followers are complaining to me -- that I follow his orders? Does this make any sense? Yeah take them to court, it is what Jayapataka himself told me is the only solution they will ever accept. ys pd
