My dear bhagavan das Please accept my humble tributes. All glories to our Eternal Father Srila Prabhupada. I'm writing to you from Africa, but this letter will be sent from Washington D.C. or Detroit. I think of you often but because I'm selfish and impersonal I never contacted you.
These are the most difficult times for everyone, however devotees like us can never be satisfied or stable with material life, but at the same time there are so many complications in trying to move forward in this spiritual mission given by Lord Chaitanya and Srila Prabhupada. We have all deviated in various ways because this is part of the painful experience of growing up, but those who are blessed like you, actually have only one alternative, develop a greater inner connection with Srila Prabhupada and Krishna, or continue to put ourselves in more torturous situations.
We can't really go back to living as normal material citizens of the world, but we can't go back to living a life of quite mechanical devotional service either. In a way you are the luckiest because Krishna is constantly intervening in your life to take everything away. You've seen the highest and lowest aspects of the material universe and it's disgusting.
After all, you only have a short time to live, so what will you do? You have helped so many souls on this planet knowingly and unknowingly, we are all indebted. I cannot begin to tell you how much you have helped me and still helping me.
Relationships between true brothers are very rare and can never be broken. What can I say, I love you and I want to be of use. How can I help in anyway? It's not funny, I don't have money, don't have a serious intelligence, I'm a second class citizen materially as well as among the Vaisnava's, however I offer my service even though I have nothing to offer. This is part of the mystery of devotional service.
