PADA: Yes B Dasi, my contention is that if me and others could know there are problems, includes with the children, therefore many others could also know -- if they had wanted to know. My feeling is, most did not want to know. They banned us, exiled us, made fun of us, threatened us, harassed us, but on no account did many of them want to ever -- listen to us.
It is a common problem in bogus cults, plain and simple. The mass of rank and file just get brain washed into thinking the leaders are pure as fallen snow, and anyone who disagrees is an envious offender. Then it is hard, if not impossible to remedy the problem.
I do not think that saying "all" of the children were raped is totally "over the top" as you suggest. Most of them no longer participate in ISKCON because they were abused -- either psychologically or physically. Some of them told me the psychological abuse, making them worship bogus people, is just about as bad as the physical.
So they were exploited one way or other, and that applies to most of them, or maybe all of them direct or indirect -- since all of them were affected by the situation in one form or another. Maybe they were not attacked personally, but they know those who were, such as -- their peers, friends, colleagues, associates etc., who were attacked, so they were almost all wholesale entangled one way or other into the mess. ys pd
There are many ISKCON devotees who are now elderly and many of them have little money for health care, vehicles, housing etc. and a number of them are making "fund me" money collections to gather some funds for their surgeries, vehicles, housing and etc., which I sometimes post on my blog. I have also posted fund me for some ISKCON temples to collect money for a new washing machine, a new temple heater, and other needed items. Of course the CPO is simple another issue that needs funding, and it seems the cupboard is bare. Meanwhile, followers of Jayapataka wrote to insult me for helping child molesting lawsuits, Bangalore lawsuits, BBTI lawsuits, assisting the police for SWAT raids etc., which they claimed means I cost ISKCON $100,000,000, or more when we consider they lost many donators due to all these events. So there is no shortage of money to pay for lawyers, in fact according to them there is a spare $100M laying around so they can get funds to buy new Mercedes for lawyers. Meanwhile the big gurus are living in Carpenteria, Malibu, San Luis Obisbo, and other expensive areas, and having health club memberships where they go and get $20 health juice drinks at the health bar. In other words, there is plenty of money, it is being siphoned off for the opulent living a a few elites, and that is why there was no money to care for the kids in the first place, which is why they had insufficient needed supplies and bad teachers. The money meant to care for them was siphoned all along, and still is. ys pd
