PADA: ISKCON devotees really cannot do this type of unified process because they all worship different GBC gurus, and there are major wars going on among their camps right here in Sacramento. They don't like one another and cannot cooperate on a joint project, so they each have teeny independent programs that never amount to much. Whereas when we worship the single acharya we are in unity.
A disciple of Jayapataka just told me that my concerns over GBC deviations are "just silliness" after I told him Jayatirtha had his head chopped off (for taking too many sins?). Evidently, decapitations of "gurus" is some sort of comedy hour show for the Jayapataka folks! He could not explain why Jayapataka told Jayatirtha to absorb the sins of thousands of people, after we had ALL been told by Prabhupada not to take sins.
So that is why there is not a unified process, there are people who have suffered greatly under these gurus and they cannot unite with the people who think falling down gurus, and even gurus being murdered for having illicit sex, are some sort of comedy hour silliness. We cannot unite unless we are all under the same banner of promoting the same acharya. Anyway, watch these folks, they all worship the same acharya -- and learn! Hee hee! ys pd
