He wore flower garlands from Sri Sri Radha Gopinath and Sri Sri Radha Madan Mohan as his head rested on the foot pillow from Srila Prabhupadas New Dwarka Vyasasan. Salagram and Govadhan Shilas were at his bedside with Tulasi Devi. Lord Jagannath looked down on him.
He was surrounded by well wishers chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra with tulasi and radha kund and ganga in his mouth. His Japa beads were in his hand and held to his heart. Over his body lay the flag flown from Nilachakra in Puri. Srila Prabhupadas recording of japa was next to his ear.
There was a cleansing rain, and the sun shone through the rain. At his last breath I said Krishna Krishna! In his ear and the kirtan around us was ecstatic! Kirtan continued while his body was cleansed and dressed and until he went to the funeral home. His transition was joyful and peaceful. And while he will be missed, he is well prepared for his journey foreward. Thank you to everyone who helped to facilitate his passing in such a beautiful way. I am indebted to you all for making this situation possible.
