Devotee's Kirtan Group "Homeless" Problem

MND: Seems we are almost homeless. Did our unpacking …. At times that pinch in the heart for the comfort of home materialize. Lavender and a variety of perfumed rose bushes grace the garden. Pine trees cover the hill behind the house and the air is always pure. Yet, to serve Krishna, all comfort is sacrificed, though I wonder about the inability to contribute properly this time.

Seems like we have to reach deeper down, into the annals of lifetimes to uproot the subtlest of weeds. Still, we are trying to maintain our schedule as best as possible, but the constant moving from hotel to hotel means meaningless time waste. We realize how easy service can be taken away and it’s terrifying.

Our infinitesimal ‘non-size’ makes our insignificant service almost invisible. Thus, we implore Krishna to remember our meagre efforts at the final check out. 0 Gopinatha, You know everything. Now, having punished Your servant, please give him a place at Your lotus feet. O Gopinatha, is this Your judgment, that seeing me averse to You, You abandon Your servant and don’t bestow even a particle of mercy upon him?
KIRTAN FOREVER

[PADA: Yep, the kirtaneers are not the important people to house these days. We GBC ilk need to spend $20,000,000 suing the ritviks, so we can make nice mansions, castles and fancy town homes for our lawyers! (Told ya!) ys pd]

  1. Thank you for all your best wishes and encouragement. We'd arrived in NY the Monday of memorial weekend. An RBNB apt was booked for our 3 weeks of Nama seva. Little did we know about the location. A strong smell of weed hovered in the lift and followed us to the door of the apt. It took 5 mins and 3 people to open the door.

On the other side we noticed aluminium roughly fused into the door around the lock. It had been broken into previously. No beds, just an air mattress on the floor and a nasty odor repulsed one. Junk crowded the place and meat was in the freezer. We'd been given half a broom cupboard for storing our things. Stepping onto the balcony, we looked straight down to a major highway. The whole building, like a bridge, sat atop that road. The noise deafened. We ran out, back into the car. Drug dealers stood around every street corner.

Our friend, a New Yorker driving us, then told us it was an unsafe area. Others have confirmed the same, saying hard drugs are dealt there. In NY, regular people live in decent areas and minimal space. Kind devotees have sponsored hotel rooms interspersed with free lodging. They are doing their best. After 5 years, I had become attached to this Hari Nama seva and His selfless great souls. I am grateful to be given some days at least this year, and insight to take Krishna seva w/ serious intent all the time. We are going to other parts of the US for the remaining days. Sri Hari Nama goes on. I pray next year we are able to serve our full commitment to the Yuga Dharma. We will be wiser then. We also humbly ask for forgiveness for having been a headache to our friends this year. Next time, w/ Krishna's permission, we'll assume our responsibility more diligently.

    KIRTAN FOREVER
