Jagaddhatri Departs [Jean Prem]

My dear Mata, Jagaddhatri dd aka Jean Prem, passed away yesterday just minutes before noon. Unfortunately, I was in Honolulu prepping the video for the launch of our American Shopping Party and so, did not actually get the news til about 3:30 pm, just before taping began. I completed the video all the same, and, of course, breaking down by the end, for there were several things that really weighed upon me.

The first and biggest of these was Mata’s wish not to die alone. Always expected I would be there and arranged my life to do so. After 3 years of full-time care and always within minutes of her call, this was one of the first times I was not.

I had left just Saturday night to Honolulu from the Big Island. All previous times (4 times over the last 3 years) of her ‘transition,’ (what nurses use to refer to dying); those calls by the nurse were always announced with a 12 to 24-hour notice to friends and family. Odd how this had no such lead time.

Mata passed once her oxygen levels fell below 40 and so I gather that they took her off oxygen to facilitate this ‘transition’ without notifying me. There’s talk of insurance lapse and other such gruesome considerations that may have been at work to have them initiate this passing, but, all of no matter now. I was to return today. I missed her by a day.

The inverse of my own abandonment issues to say the least, hit me quite hard. It was so important for me to be there, with her deities, Prabhupada’s singing, playing in the background and, saying my own prayers for her with other friends by her side – as I had arranged the previous few times she was designated to be in ‘transition.’ Crushing to have missed this one. It’s been a long night of mourning for me.

The other thing so important to me was to finally have taken a show of success to Mata before her passing. It’s been a grueling 3 years dealing with her repeated near dying, the near loss of the house, and the horrid drain of money, time, and heart with the courts and divorce from her swindling ex who stole the house from her.

PADA: Yeah she evidently sought shelter of some of the Narayan Maharaja people, some of whom evidently knew this man -- who was chasing her for marriage -- was "a serial swindler." "But no one said anything."

This is another unfortunate aspect of the GBC's divide and conquer process. It leaves many devotees with no shelter and structure to help them get guidance -- and protection -- on life changing issues and / or keeping track of these roving low lifes who come to exploit the devotees.

For example, I know of one serial woman cheater who was going from one temple to the next, and no one was keeping track of his track record. And there are more than a few of these predator type people floating around ISKCON, who are not really restricted. That makes the fresh victims vulnerable. The good news is that it looks like they were able to recover the house, but not without a lot of grief.

The stabbing and beating the previous 5 years before that and its own set of terrible setbacks – all to have been left behind with the prosperity, and success for a new and happy year.

PADA: A devotee's child [Ramachandra Mims son] with a lot of anger issues stabbed Raghunath, apparently trying to kill him. Another big problem here, many of these "Krishna kids" grew up to be dysfunctioning adults -- with lots of serious mental and "coping with life" issues. For example, one 17 year old female tried to stab her mother with scissors, and she had to be sedated by the ambulance folks and taken to the mental ward. There does not seem to be any real ISKCON managed program to help these types of children, who are victims of the GBC's child neglecting / exploiting / mental mind f**k process.

This work with the American Shopping Party was to be the happy ending for her to know all turned out well after the struggles and losses pursuing this over the last 20 years. I have a partner in this ASP project now – first time, of the 4 times I’ve done this and so success looks promising. The websites are ready to go live, Raghunomics is almost ready as an actual non-profit, ASP looking to get some public traction.

The house secured, good tenants, all paying rent, and maybe some revenue as well from one or several of these projects. All to be announced in the next couple weeks - if it actually wings.

And the final hope, that I could resurrect her - as I had a dozen times before with a little Purium (superfood regimen), acupuncture, etc. I would begin this once the money began coming in from these projects - a couple weeks more. The goal was to get her strong enough to return to the sacred lands of Vrindavan, India, to be with her newly married, Granddaughter to an Indian Prince, and the hospice care there for senior devotees, alongside the eventfulness that is of that town of 5,000 temples and thousands of devotees.

PADA: Going to the dham to depart is something Srila Prabhupada wanted for us followers. However, I would personally not go to the dham to be anywhere near these GBC folks, or any hospice they are managing etc. I am not afraid of dying from their handiworks -- if that would happen, but I am very afraid of being contaminated by being in their association.

Instead, there Mata lay alone, no happy ending to this work and passing without the surroundings of devotions. Yes, crushing my heart. I was too overwhelmed to deal with any of this last night. Apologize for the quiet on my side. I will be heading back to the Big Island to begin making arrangements. Unfortunately, all the costs for her funeral were automatically covered by hospice, but that service was canceled once Mata entered the hospital. We will have to raise the funds for that. The point of all this is I'm a bit of a wreck. Mind me.

So very thankful to all those friends and devotees that did take the time out of their busy lives and make the effort to extend themselves to Mata. It made a dramatic difference in her quality of life for it would take her out of her stupor as she woke to celebrate with them. Indebted to all of you - as always.
Yours of a heavy heart. Raghu G

PADA: It is too bad so many of the devotees ran off to Narayan Maharaja, chief hand maiden of the GBC's molester messiah's project and Tamal's lap dog. And these devotees are so deluded, they think a person who supports an illicit sex with men, women and children guru process is going to give them "rasika." Ummm, nope.

Anyway Raghunath did a heroic amount of work trying to care for, and save his mom's life, when there was essentially no society around to act as back up. So he gets a lot of credit for being such a good son and care taker.

As for Jagaddatri, her struggles here are now officially over and done. She has moved onto another plane of existence. And thus we wish her soul well and pray that Krishna uplifts her soul to a higher situation. Good luck! And God speed spirit soul! ys pd
