REDUCED GURU PUJA?

KKD: A devotee I knew very well became an approved initiating guru in ISKCON. One day I asked him what difference he felt before and after becoming a ‘guru.’ His first response was that his words took on an absolute quality for his disciples. He’s careful about what he says. 

PADA: A devotee told me his guru is speaking slower and slower and slower over the years, because he is realizing everything he says is being recorded so he is trying to be extra careful what he says. 

It’s why we see disciples recording every word of their gurus. Whereas sastra says that an acarya should never be considered ordinary, in many cases, ordinary devotees become a ‘guru’ along with absolute expectations for disciples. Disciples inevitably turn their ‘gurus’ into the extraordinary, but the devotees who become ‘guru’ remains the same person before and after becoming ‘guru.’

This individual I knew remained a ‘guru’ for only a couple of years, but he was exalted by his disciples just as all other disciples did with their gurus. For instance, are there any records of Srila Prabhupada demanding that there be huge, extravagant and prolonged Vyasa-puja celebrations for his own gurudeva Srila Bhaktisiddhanta? 

He certainly had the resources and means to do this, but did he? Why not? If Srila Prabhupada didn’t indulge in extravagant guru worship of his own guru, why does it happen in ISKCON with far less qualified ‘gurus?’

Granted! Devotees are not exactly ordinary people if they’re dedicating their lives for Krishna, yet we’re adept at making the slightly above ordinary into the super most extraordinary in ISKCON. Why? ‘Gurus’ who can’t get past anartha-nivritti aren’t extraordinary are they.

The GBC has supposedly toned down the scale of guru worship, but disciples have a knack of pushing boundaries and doing bigger and better guru worship because they do not see their ‘gurus’ as ordinary.

This outdoing of Srila Prabhupada’s simple heart-to-heart connection with his spiritual master started with the zonal acarya system. Guru worship today is as extravagant as it was then in some cases. Not much has changed and the absolute quality of the words of often struggling ‘gurus’ is part of the problem. If guru worship was as simple as how Srila Prabhupada showed by his example, a lot of money could be spent on more essential needs.

The Sampradaya Acharya

AD: WE ACCEPT THAT SRILA PRABHUPADA IS THE SAMPRADAYA ACHARYA, THEN WHAT EVER HE DOES BECOMES THE LAW OR BECOMES THE STANDARD. “ACT AS RITTVIK” WAS HIS ORDER. THAT CANNOT BE DENIED. ISK-CON AND THE DONKEY CLASS OF MEN, THE GBC, NEGLECTED THIS AND TOOK AN ALTERNATIVE ROUTE. THAT HAS PROVED TO BE DISASTEROUS. NOW THEY WANT TO CONCOCT ANOTHER ALTERNATIVE. WHY NOT JUST FOLLOW THE ORDER?

Well, it does not PAY to follow the order. Each temple is a Corporation and rubber-stamped gurus are placed as the owners of the corporation. The ISK-CON devotees are simply supporting the corporation and the DONKEY CLASS OF MEN, the gurus, who run the corporations. This is what is called the GURU BUSINESS. 

The corporation and DONKEY Class of gurus are the only beneficiaries. Not the Krishna consciousness movement nor the Isk-Con devotees.

These sahajiyas [pretenders] who decry the teachings of Lord Krishna and the sampradaya Acharya Srila Prabhupada, have no intention, nor do they have the ability, to take you back home back to godhead.

In Chaitanya-charitamrita, Madhya-lila, Chapter Seven, text 126 & 127 Lord Chaitanya’s method of preaching and Prabhupada’s comments regarding the process of preaching Lord Chaitanya practiced while traveling throughout South India (a period of about two years) are very necessary for all devotees to study and understand clearly.

The brahmana named Kurma begged Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, “My dear Lord, kindly show me favour and let me go with You. I can no longer tolerate the waves of misery caused by materialistic life.”

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu replied, “Don’t speak like that again. Better to remain at home and chant the holy name of Krishna always.

One can remain comfortably in his residence. We simply request everyone to chant the maha-mantra: Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare/ Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. If one is a little literate and can read Bhagavad-gita As It Is and Srimad Bhagavatam, that would be good. One should also refrain from sinful activities-illicit sex, meat eating, gambling and intoxication.

The real purpose of human life is to attain the spiritual platform and return to Godhead. That is the summum bonum of spiritual realization. The Krishna consciousness movement is trying to elevate human society to the perfection of life by pursuing the method described by Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in His advice to the brahmana Kurma. That is, one should stay at home, chant the Hare Krishna mantra and preach the instructions of Krishna AS THEY ARE given in Bhagavad-gita and Srimad-Bhagavatam.

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu further advised the brahmana Kurma, “If you follow this instruction, your materialistic life at home will not obstruct your spiritual advancement. Indeed, if you follow these regulative principles, we will again meet here, or, rather, you will NEVER LOSE MY COMPANY.”

This is an opportunity for everyone. If one simply follows the instructions of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, under the guidance of His representative, SRILA PRABHUPADA and chants the Hare Krishna mantra, teaching everyone a far as possible the same principle, the contamination of the materialistic way of life will not even touch him. It does not matter whether one lives in a HOLY PLACE like Vrindavana, Navadwipa or Jagnnatha Puri or in the midst of European cities where the materialistic way of live is very prominent. 

If a devotee follows the instructions of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, he lives in THE COMPANY OF THE LORD. Wherever he lives, he converts that place into Vrindavan and Navadwipa. This means that materialism CONNOT TOUCH HIM. This is the secret of success for one advancing in Krishna consciousness.

Now there are 250 gurus. Srila Prabhupada was ONE guru. We know what he has done In 16 years. What have all these 250 new gurus done? Have they done 250 times as much as Srila Prabhupada? Have they done 10 times as much? Have they done twice as much? Have they done anything?!!!

Many things were never done before. Ramanujacharya engaged dacoits for collection, then had them killed. Madhvacharya pummeled his opponents. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu sang and danced in public–never done before by sannyasis. Buddha rejected the Vedas. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada created a GBC to manage his preaching mission, leaving no successor acharya , as was traditionally done. Srila Prabhupada made the same arrangement. 

In both instances, the order was DISOBEYED, and in both instances the result was the same–CHAOS, CONFUSION and DISINTEGRATION of the Acharya’s mission. Great acharyas like Srila Prabhupada do establish the principles of religion according to Time, Place and Circumstances.

PADA IS A LIAR UPDATE

MRD: Isnt criticizing devotees who dedicate their lives to spread the holy names an offense to the holy name? I see this sanga very sincere by the fact those books are authorized by Srila Prabhupada! To those who are going on book distribution and harinan Sankirtan Srila Prabhupada has a special place in his heart.

PADA: Well great, but the GBC people also distribute books and do harinama. Mathura Pati has said that I should not have helped the child mistreatment victims and their lawsuit, which helped get hundreds of kids pulled out of GBC schools, and stopped the epidemic of the victims taking their lives. And he has wrote on his site saying I am bogus for saving these children, and his works are being circulated now by various GBC guru people. 

He furthermore has blocked and removed the statements from Srila Prabhupada where he says we should print the original way, and not the "rascal editors" way. He is banning the statements of Srila Prabhupada about what is an original book. So he is distributing books, which is good, but he does not agree with Srila Prabhupada about what is an original book. 

And he is saying that stopping child mistreatment is a deviation, which is exactly what the GBC people argue. Srila Prabhupada never said that stopping children from being mistreated is a deviation, he said it is our duty to make sure there is none. ys pd

MRD: Mathura Pati Das can't read what youre writing. This is not vaisnava ettiquete.

PADA: He can write me anytime at my e-mail if he has any comment. When he was discussing with me on FB, he said over and over and over and over and over that my stopping children from being mistreated is a crazy and foolish deviation, and I am a liar etc. and his writings are now being circulated by GBC people. I already know what the GBC people say since 1978 and I don't need to see someone repeating them all day long. 

All he ever says is what Tamal says, and I do not have time to waste on Tamal's disciples, I have a lot of other things going on. Saying that I am a liar is also what the GBC says, and name calling is not allowed in actual debates. He needs to make a substantial argument why his plan of allowing child mistreatment to continue and not have me check it -- is bona fide, and he never does. 

When he has something concrete to add, he can send it to me. Anyone who uses name calling in an actual debates is blocked and removed, it is not allowed even in karmi debates. But yeah, he is saying is it all lies when I am representing thousands of victims, that means he is calling the victims liars. He is doing what Tamal does. ys pd

PADA: Wrong. His writings against me are being circulated by GBC people. He is writing papers used by them. So right away, you are not being factual. Told ya! ys pd

PADA: He has made posts against me, on his site, and the GBC folks are circulating links to his site, and sending to me and others. His writings are being used by GBC people, and his writings say that the thousands of children I represent and me are liars. That is what the GBC says the whole time. That is the prime defense of child mistreatment cults, the victims and their advocates are liars. ys pd

PADA: No, we have nothing in common with the people calling children victims and their advocates liars, that is how he and his pals enable mass child mistreatment. It is a felony crime to suppress and block complaints of child abuse in the USA. He is a criminal, at least by karmi standards.

And no, he blocks the quotes we give from Prabhupada about original books. He does not even know what an original books is, and he won't allow the quote on that topic either. ys pd

Rosalba Rukmini Ramana: Mathura Pati said that Srila Prabhupada did not translate properly from sanskrit the part I am going to post here about the globe planet earth. Mathura Pati is the one of the fools re-translating the original Srila Prabhupada book in deuch? Another Hridayananda in the ritvik field.

PADA: And Mathura Pati has been working with Purujit, who quotes Jayadvaita that we have to make another Gita, and he made one. We only accept the MAC 72 version that we all use .... and Prabhupada used. Purujit making another version is the same thing the GBC does. Birds of a feather. ys pd

PADA: Thanks MMD: "PADA is a liar." Worked good for them ... in the 1980s. That is when they had thousands of people to say that. One by one ... they all dropped away. They are mostly all gone. Many of them ... not even on the planet anymore. 

Now there is just a small handful remaining saying that. They got left holding the bag. Feel sorry for them. They just don't get it. Someone has to tell them "Johnny is a liar" is kindergarten level debate. It won't work among mature adults.
