SAGA OF THE TRANSCENDENTAL WHISTLE BLOWER. - Ishan das. 03/02/2024
Once upon a time, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna Himself, sent one of His eternal confidential associates to Planet Earth. It was predicted 500 years ago by Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, that His Sankirtan Movement would be spread to every town and village on the planet, and that this would be the introduction of the Yuga Dharma which would blossom for the next 10,000 years.
Some 350 years later, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur declared that very soon, an intimate confidential servant of the Supreme Lord would be appear as the transcendental agent of Lord Caitanya’s mission. Similarly, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta told his disciples that this confidential servant (who had already appeared in the Gaudy Math institution) would “do everything”. This confidential intimate agent of Krishna Himself is A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada.
In a very short period of some 10 years, Srila Prabhupada spread Krishna consciousness over the face of the planet, opening temples, installing Deities of Panca-tattva, Radha and Krishna and Lord Jagannatha in countries around the globe. At the same time, he initiated disciples in different countries of all races. At the same time he published some 80 volumes of transcendental literature. And all of this, Srila Prabhupada accomplished, while circling the globe in airplanes, carrying with him only his books and dictaphone, and the barest essential necessities.
Srila Prabhupada’s vision extended into the future. Not only did he create devotees of Krishna all over the world, but also, he created schools for the children of his devotees. These children, who were born into the Krishna consciousness movement, were Srila Prabhupada’s vision for the future of Lord Caitanya’s Sankirtan Movement. These beautiful souls were divinely selected and attracted to the wombs of Srila Prabhupada’s students. Some came from higher planets. Others had been devotees in previous births. They were sent to fulfill the vision of Lord Caitanya.
But who would be the teachers, the instructors, the role models for these wonderful effulgent souls? Who would shelter them, guide them, and cultivate them so that they could assume the role of spreading Lord Caitanya’s mission? These pure little children were entrusted to Srila Prabhupada’s direct disciples. And then all hell broke loose.
The records and tales of these children is horrific and catastrophic. They were beaten. They were sexually molested. They were emotionally damaged. Many of them have committed suicide. And many of them contemplate suicide today. Many are alienated, by personal choice, from association with the institution of Krishna consciousness, and the process of Krishna consciousness. Many have simply joined the culture of lost souls who walk the earth with little hope and no sense of direction, resorting to various forms of self-destructive habits.
But how could this have happened? Surely there were temple presidents. Surely there were GBC members, surely there were the parents of these children……all of whom were charged with the responsibility to protect and bring out the best in these children, who were Srila Prabhupada’s ardent hope for the continued thriving success of the Krishna consciousness movement.
But this didn’t happen. Most of the parents didn’t know until the damage was done. And many of the devotees who tried to alert the presidents and GBC were threatened, even with violence. The order of the day was, and still is…..we will all look the other way, we will turn a blind eye to this horrific reality. We will pretend that these things are not going on. After all, there was, and still is, the good name of the Krishna consciousness movement that we have to protect.
This paradigm, of refusing to responsibly deal with reality is not confined to the Krishna consciousness movement. There are documentaries which deal with the same lack of child protection from sexual abuse, by priests in the Roman Catholic Church. The pope, in his holy robes, makes no move to uproot child sexual molestation, perpetrated on the children of church members.
Similarly, in the political arena, Edward Joseph Snowden (born June 21, 1983) is an American and naturalized Russian citizen who was a computer intelligence consultant and whistleblower who leaked highly classified information from the National Security Agency in the United States. Because he wanted to protect the American public from privacy violations by the American government, he had to flee the country to save his life.
In the same way, environmental agencies fail to report the grossest environmental abuses by American corporations simply because they receive “donations” from these corporations.
In the same way, universities teach their medical students to utilize the drugs of the giant drug companies regardless of the consequences of utilizing those drugs, because the drug companies give donations to these medical departs.
Therefore the question arises: What is the common thread in all of this irresponsible dysfunction? Dysfunction in the political arena, dysfunction in environmental protection agencies, dysfunction in the educational field, and dysfunction in religious institutions, There is one common thread: "We have to cover ourselves in order to protect our name and prestige in the eyes of the public.
Also, if we don’t protect those who do wrong, they may move to hurt us in return, because we also have skeletons in our closets. Therefore let us turn a blind eye, in spite of our duty of social responsibility.” This is what has occurred in Iskcon before Srila Prabhupada’s departure, and this is what occurs, even more so in Iskcon today.

The bottom line is that Iskcon children were being abused, physically, sexually and emotionally, and there was no protection coming from within the organization. Parents were not informed, or didn’t know how to make a difference. Devotees who tried to focus attention on the deplorable situation in America and in India, were told to hold their tongues. Several have been threatened with violence.
All of the above is background to the slant of this article. This brings us to the year 1997. Enter the Transcendental Whistle Blower. Puranjan das. He understood the pathological situation within Iskcon; and he refused to look the other way. He couldn’t do it. Puranjan declared battle. The situation was taken to court. Iskcon was sued for child abuse. Hundreds of children were removed from the Iskcon schools. The case was aired to the public through the media. Is he regarded as a hero? Is he regarded as righteous? No.
Aside from the people of Iskcon, the perpetrators, and administrators, even within some so-called Prabhupadanuga camps, who have separated themselves from Iskcon……Puranjan is the object of negative criticism. Why have these Prabhupadanuga organizations become manifest?
Srila Prabhupada vehemently instructed, repeatedly, that his books should not, should not, should not be changed. And Iskcon not only has made thousands of changes to Srila Prabhupada’s books, but have even restricted the distribution of his original books.
Then there is the process of Diety worship in the Iskcon temples. Iskcon has decided that Srila Prabhupada, Krishna’s emissary from the spiritual world, has been mistaken in teaching that that in offering foodstuffs to the Lord, the offering should be made to Krishna’s pure devotee first, who in turn would offer to God on our behalf. Srila Prabhupada teaches in his books that we cannot approach Krishna directly, but that we should approach Krishna through the discipline succession. Iskcon has turned this procedure upside down.
Srila Prabhupada never appointed anyone to be guru after his departure. In fact he informs us though his talks and his writings that the concept of the necessity of a living guru for the initiation of new devotees…….this very concept is the major reason for the complete failure of the Gaudiya Math, the institution created by Srila Prabhupada’s spiritual master. Never-the- less, when Srila Prabhupada departed, Iskcon immediately began the appointment of gurus, and this continues to this day. Srila Prabhupada makes the authorized philosophical point that the spiritual master must be the topmost devotee who has a living face-to-face relationship with Krishna himself. But Iskcon continues to appoint conditioned souls who still identify with the material body and mind as themselves, as spiritual masters.
These are the major reasons for which the Prabhupadanugas, world-wide, have rightly separated themselves from Iskcon. However, because Puranjana das decided to take on the job of protecting the children of Iskcon from physical abuse and sexual molestation, some of the Prabhupadanuga camps criticize him harshly. The reason? He is giving Srila Prabhupada’s Iskcon a bad name. Better, they claim, “better to let the children go to hell.”
Giving Srila Prabhupada’s Iskcon a bad name. It is not the child-molesters that are giving Iskcon a bad name. It’s not the GBC of Iskcon who are giving Iskcon a bad name because of not stepping in and protecting the children, because of not having the police put the child-molesters in prison. No. The Iskcon society is getting a bad name because Puranjan is making arrangements to take Iskcon to court, and suing Iskcon for child abuse. This is their reasoning.
Srila Prabhupada’s Iskcon no longer exists. Iskcon is a dead branch of the Caitanya Tree. Iskcon has made so many changes to Srila Prabhupada’s books, the process of worship that he taught, and the manner in which new members are admitted to the society, that iskcon is divorced from Srila Prabhupada. Iskcon keeps the form of Srila Prabhupada in their temples, because they cannot stand in their own merit. But it is not Srila Prabhupada’s Iskcon that has heaped violent abuse on the children of Iskcon. No. No more than then it is Jesus Christ’s responsibility for the crusades of the 12th and 13th century A.D. The Christian church became an affront to Jesus, and Iskcon is simply a living offense to Srila Prabhupada.
When Srila Prabhupada was asked if the rats that had infested the LA temple should be killed, he said, “No! You should be killed for allowing such a situation to occur.” In the same way, it is the Governing Board of Iskcon that has enabled the infestation of child abuse in Iskcon. But in this case, both the infestation as well as the Governing Board will be made to answer. Of course they will. The Iskcon branch of the Caitanya Tree is already dead. What to speak of the rewards to be received by the lot of them when they leave their bodies.
Srila Prabhupada teaches us that if we, as members of the group see that something is out of line, and don’t speak up, we are guilty as the perpetrators. In this way the entire GBC, is guilty of child-molestation.
When the battle of Kurukshetra was to be fought, Arjuna didn’t want to be hurtful to anyone. He wanted the miscreants, the offenders to be excused. But Krishna said, “No. They have done wrong, and justice must be delivered.” In the same way, justice will be delivered. Srila Prabhupada teaches us that the larger the responsibility, the bigger the crime. Out of all of us, Puranjan, the transcendental whistle blower, is the only one who really stood up for the children, with all of his strength, placing himself between a corrupt institution of cold-hearted abuse and the innocent children who were Srila Prabhupada’s hope for bringing Krishna consciousness to plant earth. Let us offer our respectful obeisances to Puranjan Prabhu, the transcendental whistle blower.

Prabhu, I am. going to write a letter to you that you will be happy to post on your web site. I have various things going on in my life, but as I walk through the motions of doing this and that, I am already composing this letter in my mind. I have no doubts whatsoever that you have done a wonderful and good thing, and that those who condemn your most appropriate desire to help these children, these grand children of Srila Prabhupada, are misguided, misdirected and not pleasing to Srila Prabhupada or to Krishna.
What you have accomplished so far is monumental. I can only wish that I will one day attain your level of courage and devotion in Srila Prabhupada's service. Please be patient with me, and don't doubt for a moment that I will deliver this letter into your hands to use as you see fit.

PADA: Thanks very much Ishan prabhu. Yes, in 1997 the Prabhupadanuga EU people like Sanat and Mukunda began to argue that their mass beating and rape of children program is "The Golden Body of ISKCON." And they said Puranjana is a demon, because he helped stop their "Golden Body of ISKCON" program.
And yet even the media know their program has been -- starving, beating, anal reconstructive surgery epidemic -- mass raping -- mass other forms of abuse of thousands of children, and suicides of some of their children victims. What these GBC defenders actually said was, they wanted the children to die in a bloodbath in Dallas.
Of course, not one single leader or perp was threatened by them, only the victims, as was noted by the victims and the courts. So they only defended their regime, the perps, and not the victims.
I told Krishna Kanta (IRM leader) at the time that the children are being molested and committing suicide, and he said "yes, we know that already -- but if we sue the GBC, we will lose our buildings." And he was negotiating a deal with Jayapataka to take control of parts of ISKCON in a "reform," so he wanted to keep "their buildings" because they thought the IRM would gain control of some of them.
And they also told me not to sue the GBC over the book changes. And the IRM still has complaints about me "working with Hansadutta" to get the legal rights to original books. So these GBC / Prabhupadanuga EU people did not even want us to get the legal rights to original books either. They clearly wanted Jayadvaita's changed books to win the legal side.
Almost needless the say, the same people ALSO opposed me on "the poison issue." And IRM helper Kamsahanta tried to physically block me from going out to announce the poison issue. In other word, these people are compromisers with the GBC. Also almost needless to say, when we tell media people these GBC / Prabhupadanuga EU people think that mass child rapes / Auschwitz for kids program is "The Golden Body of God," their eyes roll in amazement and total disgust.
And the media folks told me Srila Prabhupada is right, these people are killers of the soul, and they killed the souls of countless ISKCON children. Golden Body of God no less! Even the media people cringe at the words of these fanatics. Toss the children under the bus, to save our golden pedophile worshiping program.
Anyway, we tried to help the children, and some of them credit us with saving their lives. And yet there is still a group of GBC sympathizers who hold a grudge, but it is not only begrudging me, they begrudge that many of these children were pulled out and not molested, and others are still alive. They did not want these children to saved from abuse, or even -- be alive, and they did not want me to be alive, so they could keep their mass child molesting program, changed books program, and worshiping guru poisoners going on.
Well one of their victims recently told me they can take their golden body of ISKCON golden a** poker and stick up their own behinds, so they can sample what will happen when they go to Yamaraja's planet of red hot a** pokers. These GBC and Prabhupadnauga EU people wanted us to be poked in the a**, so what they wanted for us -- will happen to them. This victim said, they will be starved, beaten, molested, and poked in the a**, since they wanted to have that happen to us children. And they are infuriated that their Auschwitz for kids process is being checked, so they will go to an Auschwitz themselves for wanting us to be in theirs.
In sum, their helping child raping programs is not being appreciated by the mass of public, the media, the police, the courts, and for sure -- not by their victims. And Krishna is not happy with people who call their mass child rape program His "Golden Body." He is just as disgusted with them as we are.
Thanks Ishan! Yeah, Windle Turley is the lesser of two evils, our opponents wanted their beating, molesting, raping, broken bones, suicides of children etc. program to continue, and Windle Turley didn't. So he saved victims, and then the perps and their enablers and defenders were not happy. And after they told the victims that the Auschwitz for kids program is "The Golden body of ISKCON," no wonder the victims are attacking the religion. No one should be slightly surprised.

I think my head is going to explode any minute here ... I better go feed my cats.
LD: Hear all this before. No one should criticize the "Golden Body of Jesus" Church. The pedophile religions always debate with us that way. They don't care about the children victims. Full stop. But the Church itself will also die ... and eventually have a bad name ... by covering this up. They don't even care about the Church.

Tossing children under the bus ... to save the Golden body of Jesus. I would say ... these people are going to Yamaraja ... but anyone who does not already know ... that is where they go ... is fooling themselves. Auschwitz for kids ... and they are defending that ... and they don't know where they are going next? We do.
PB: Wow really nice substantial post, it's amazing how problems within the society have festered and spoiled many things. The part that gets me is we continue to boast how Iskcon is thriving and at the same time ignore serious issues within. I think that is why Prabhupada travelled constantly to check on His movement and take care of difficulties as needed. We don't have a very good check and balance system like that anymore. All we can do is complain and express our concerns but never feel acknowledged.
