PADA: Most of the Major preaching programs in the West are failing to bring Western people in as the new recruits. It has become a sort of Hindu-ized business. The problem is -- they cannot maintain these Western properties -- unless they get some new blood, especially local people from the West as Srila Prabhupada wanted and intended. And that will not happen until they change the policy of worshiping deviants as messiahs. It is just not popular in the West. They had to import some Temple President guy from Australia, and he does not look Western either. ys pd

The video the lady doing begging talk is daughter of Yasomatinandan das (passed away) Ahmedbad Temple India---now Gopal Krsna's zone. Yasomatinandan married an American woman disciple. Daughter is issue of that. I think they had eight children.

Begging for maintaining their sense-gratification is nothing new. In UK, they have the same propaganda - they will purposely let some quarters of the temple into disrepair - in order to invoke public sympathy. Bathroom, kitchen, roof etc so people can see. Main contributers are sentimental Hindus. They even look like them now. Shaven headed, or devotee clothes is becoming rare. In their talks they will showcase their bogus guru maharaja to say how he is "inspiring" them.
Temples are now functioning as PRIVATE businesses of HUGE SALARY PAID SHARE HOLDERS but because the Temples donations are not subject to tax they cleverly take advantage. Also, so many different indentities are created in the shape of different companies "charities".

S D Dasi: Funny thing, we have to save ISKCON. Save it from what? They never say. They never mention ... we have to save ISKCON from worshiping their bogus and false acharyas.
ReplyDeleteEverything is bankrupted from their false acharyas ... but they never fix that problem. Why bother pouring money into another false acharya problem? We have to put out the fire ... and pour gasoline at the same time. How will that save them? First, get rid of these false acharyas, instead of repairing their trail of damage over and over.
They always mention the problem, never the cause, never the solution. They made false acharyas and they destroyed the society. Money won't fix that. If we worship the bona fide acharya ... then people will come back and fix it automatically. Pouring more money down the same rabbit hole will never fix it.
Where are the people who made Bhagavan the acharya? They are now in charge of the repair ... without admitting ... they caused the damage problem by making false acharya. It is a dog chasing its own tail.
JJ: Save New Vrndavana, save New Mayapur, save New Talavan, save New York temple, save Gita Nagari with a new heater, give us funds to hire a poojari, save this devotee and that one ... who now has cancer, but the same people who made all these problems ... will save us? Save us from what?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until we have to save Hrdayananda's Malibu house, or Giriraja's Carpenteria house, that is when we will know there really is a crisis. PADA was right to say -- the gurus live in a mansion and Krishna gets to live in the ghetto.
Bhagavan was famous ... living like a millionaire while his temples were in disrepair. That was the problem then ... same problem now. None of these leaders seems to have a shortage of funds for their living with servants and opulence.
Someone gets the short end of the stick every time ... and when that someone is Krishna ... then Lord have mercy when they go to the next body ... that is when they will begin to understand what shortage of support really means. They won't get any of the support they need then ...

These people are super rich but ----they have no brains for reading and understanding Srila Prabhupada books. Easy targets for donations.
In the days of Bhagavan das they opened-up so many companies (I was told by ex-accountant) and Bhagavan das went away with woman-- with huge amount of cash. Then after Bhagavan das came in rest of the crew who--- also---- had the money ambition. This is how the joint is run. Formerly, there was a BBT in In UK also. But that also disappeared.

We don’t say that “Give us salary.” We simply ask them, “Please come.” Therefore we are making food. I’ll give you food. I’ll give you good seat. Please come and hear. We are not asking money, that “First of all pay the fees. Then you come and learn Bhagavad-gītā.” We never say so.
So those, these so-called teachers, they first of all set up salary, “What salary you’ll give me?” That is dog’s business. That is not brāhmaṇa’s business. Brāhmaṇa will never ask. Brāhmaṇa is eager to give lesson only. That’s all.
Brāhmaṇa is eager to see that people are educated. “Take free education and be educated. Be a human being.” This is brāhmaṇa’s business. I came here not to ask for any money. But I want to give lesson. This is brāhmaṇa’s business.
Bhagavān: Today the priests are afraid to speak too strongly or else they will be fired and get no salary.
Prabhupāda: Eh?
Bhagavān: Today the priests, they are afraid to speak.
Prabhupāda: Yes.
Bhagavān: Or like the politicians, they are afraid to speak because they are afraid that they will be voted out or get no more money to support their...
