PADA: Bangladesh is -- a mess. The Vaishnavas and Hindus were suppressed there at the time of Lord Chaitanya 500 years ago, and it is still a problem now. There does not seem to be an easy solution, the government there is too compromised and weak to take action on these matters, hence they keep recurring over and over and over.
Of course instead of spending $20,000,000 trying to starve millions of children by shutting down a free food program, maybe ISKCON should have spent that money instead on hiring security guards for their temples. With $20,000,000 they could have hired a huge security force over there, since people will work for dollars a day.
But nope, the priority expense is, to try to have the free food program directors put into jail, and not to protect the devotees and temples. Yep, why protect the devotees when you can instead get a nice new Mercedes for a lawyer -- so he can drive out to get his nice big chicken masala tikka? ys pd

ReplyDeleteHare Krsna,
There is the strongest reason to cry out from the core of our hearts... but the lessons needs to be taken from such repeated incidents happening with Srila Prabhupada's ISKCON. We must prepare ourselves enough for such incidents that they will not happen with ISKCON in the future in the entire WORLD. There must be the committee from ISKCON who will work strongly round the clock against such incidents.
[PADA: Well for starters, instead of spending $100,000,000 on lawsuits over the past many years, ISKCON should have been training a defense department to defend their temples in Bangladesh. For $100,000,000 they could have started their own army over there, people there will work for peanuts, and so $100,000,000 was wasted on buying Mercedes for lawyers instead of helping their citizens. They have not prioritized helping their own citizens, they have instead prioritized making sure lawyers have nice vehicles to go buy chicken tikkas. ys pd]
RD: Muslims mobs are still roaming around the temple, no help has come here. No help seems to be coming soon either.
