Kartik Month / Flat Earthers / Offering Food to Sinners 11 01

Kartika (Damodara) is the best and most glorious month, the purest of the pure.
He is very dear to lord Krishna.

The beginning is from October 29 to November 27

WHY DO WE SING "DAMODARASHTAKA"?

In the month of Kartik, one of the additional duties that Vaishnavas undertake is to chant “Damodarashtaka”, a prayer composed by Satyavrata Muni, along with offering a ghee lamp to Lord Damodara, every day during this month. In Hari Bhakti Vilas, Srila Sanatan Goswami writes: "He who repeats the prayer of Sri Damodarashtak daily during the month of Karthik, manifested from the heart of Sri Satyavrata Muni, will forever enchant Sri Damodara."

That is, this prayer is some kind of mystical! There is something in this prayer when a person repeats it ... Of course, it is not about mechanical repetition, it is about understanding, joining to what Satyavrata Muni asks for in this prayer. If a person asks for the same, gets in the same mood or dreams the same mood which is in this Damodarashtak prayer, then Lord Damodara will be very pleased with that person.

For those of you who are yet to say this prayer or think you should or not, I want to encourage you to say it. And with those who repeat it, I want to share the understanding that it is very important to repeat it consciously. In fact, it is a prayer of worship for pure devotion, it is a request for pure devotion.

To whom is this prayer addressed and why is it so important? This prayer is addressed to Lord Damodara. Damodara is the Lord tied with a rope. Usually, when people turn to someone for help - to God or to some powerful people in the world, they want to find someone more helpful, someone who really has freedom, power, wealth. It's reasonable, because if you solve problems, you need to solve them in bulk. When we talk about someone being connected it means there is a limitation it means there is someone higher than him. What's the point of worshiping someone who can be tied to, who is conditioned? If he’s tied with ropes, how will he help us? What kind of ropes are these? What does it mean that God is connected? What is he connected to?

God is tied by the ropes of love. He always remains God, but He is conquered by the love of the faithful. On the one hand, all those who pray to God in different religions, in different traditions turn to the great God and realize that this God is merciful. And the fact that God is bound by the love of the devotees can be perceived as being good to them.

All monotheistic religions assume that God is good to us, otherwise what is the point of turning to Him, He will not answer, and it is useless to turn to Him then. When we perceive in our material consciousness that God is good and powerful, we use it for our own good. Our materialistic mind thinks: "My dream is that this good God fulfills my wishes. I will want something right now, and I constantly want something, and since He is merciful, since He is kind to me, He hears me, and He will surely fulfill it." And our dream: "I'm sitting on the couch, and God around me leads the choirs and fulfills my wishes." That is, on the one hand, God is powerful, on the other hand, He loves me and that means, He fulfills all my desires.

But Damodarashtak is talking about God, who, of course, remains God, but forgets about it. There is a statement in the Bhagavad Gita: "ye yatha mam prapadyante tams tathaiva bhajamy aham - as a man addresses Me, I respond accordingly." Vraja bhakts and Satyavrata Muni love Krishna not because He is God, but because one can give oneself completely to Him, surrender completely to Him.
Accordingly, the Lord, seeing such devotion of His devotees, completely forgets that He is God, at that moment He becomes just a little boy who fears His mother Yashod. And thats the God we worship. That is, in fact, this prayer of pure devotion to the enemy-bhakt.

For God to forget that He is God, one must possess this purity, sincerity that the devotees of Vrindavan have. The entire Damodara-lila shows the power of love of mother Yashoda, and the purpose of the Gaudiya-Vaishnavas is to obtain the mercy of such great enemies-bhaktas. A Dasi

PADA: Same thing here, you can see the tops of the big ships from the docks of the port here, but not the bottom, once they are in the far distance. ys pd

PADA: That was one of my original complaints. If we offer food to deviated people, the food takes on the quality of the deviated person, and infects people. Hence, there was a whole lot of people taking, selling and distributing drugs in the Jayatirtha process, along with no small amount of illicit affairs, which oddly -- ended JT's life. And in Hansadutta-land, they were buying, selling and distributing illegal guns etc. and no small amount of people having affairs and etc.

You become what you worship. My ex-witch friend says they have curses for food to make it contaminate and harm, or even destroy enemies, and she says -- ISKCON us using that technique everywhere right now, offering food to predators and so on, to make a predator's conciousness spread around the society. And she thinks it is working out pretty good for them, lots of thugs and predators are attracted. ys pd
