So we now have to revive our original, dormant Krishna consciousness -- and go back to home, back to Godhead. However since everyone in the land of Krishna is His servant, and not His imitator, we have to develop the right mentality in order to go back to our original position.
The mayavadas want to merge with brahman because they are still tinged with envy of Krishna. So they can only temporarily reduce their sufferings by merging there, but then they have to return back here in the material forms.
Now some of Srila Prabhupada's God brothers, Sridhara and Narayan maharajas, and their allies like Gaura Govinda maharaja etc. claimed that we originated in brahman, and Srila Prabhupada says -- that is because they are tinged with mayavada (envious of God).

DP: Do you think JPS's statement is anywhere near basic human honesty? I don't think so. The established structure is so corrupt and rotten, I shiver at the very thought to get involved in it. I can safely affirm that there is no future for ISKCON. It may go on still for some time and many souls will benefit from it, like all of us had in the past.
However, its deterioration tendency is beyond repair ... That does not mean something will not arise and I don't think it will be a big institution. I think the future of the Sankirtan movement is in smaller communities and the importance will shift from "big shots" to every individual. How cruel is that to all the abused girls present at the festival and her being treated like some elite star. What the hell is wrong with the management or in charge in Mayapur.
