SR: The following is a recent letter Anuttama GBC wrote regarding Bhakti Purushottam Swami's current visit to the USA. Here on VI an extensive document was shared a while back that describes a number of allegations against Bhakti Purushottam Swami.

The political magnanimity that Anuttama generously offers to someone who stands accused of such extreme allegations is truly heart warming! The only appropriate message Anuttama ought to have championed here would have been to insist that the CPO get to the bottom of all these serious allegations.

Instead, he misuses his position of authority to encourage the temple presidents of ISKCON North America to welcome a man who stands accused of child abuse and of stealing millions of dollars from ISKCON!!! It is sad to see this lack of integrity and interest in the protection of children from Anuttama das.

Dear NE Zonal Leaders and NA RGB members,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

There is some confusion regarding the visit of Bhakti Purusottama Swami to North America, and whether or not he can give classes, etc, at our temples. 

I read the emails that were exchanged between BPS and Lila Sukha dd, the NA CPO Director. I also spoke today with the International CPO Director, Kamalesh Krishna dasa. Based on that information and those conversations, these are the pertinent facts:  

There are undocumented and unproven allegations against Bhakti Purusottama Swami that have come to the attention of the CPO office. Based on those, the NA CPO has decided they can not give him a "Full Clearance" status. 

However, there is no existing CPO decision that prohibits Bhakti Purusottama Swami from visiting temples or speaking there. Nor are there any other restrictions in place from the CPO. 

As is the case with any ISKCON speaker, it remains the decision of the local Temple President whether to allow Bhakti Purusottama Swami to speak or not.

I suggest other NA GBC members may wish to inform your temples of the same above facts. 

As GBC representative for most NE temples and some others, it is my opinion that the temples who planned to host him and have him speak should feel free to do so.

MK Dasa: I was dealing with results of his activities in South Korea. His friends ACBSP disciples from Mayapur, mostly of Brazilian origin, were collecting illegal donations for non-existing projects, saying all possible nonsense to the hard working Koreans, and he was paying blind eye on this, or even protecting them, as a GBC for South Korea at that time. As a result, one of the temples was under fake devotees, stealing BBT money, the other one under simple Bengali non- ISKCON hired workers, and our only native Korean devotee girl got pregnant and abandoned by the son of one of these "Mayapur-vasis".

I wrote several letters both to GBC committee and him personally, no solution.
