PADA: A doctor who surveys near death patients says over 35% of them reported finding themselves in horrible hells. He says -- these accounts are repeating too many times, and are thus too common and realistic to be faked.
He says these people are having real experiences of real events, and therefore, he believes -- hell really exists. Well yup. Of course life on planet earth is already hell for billions of people who cannot find food, and / or their country is at war, and so on, hell is already here for a lot of people -- yup -- already. I believe Krishna allows these people to see these hells to -- wake them up. ys pd
PADA: OK I am not 100% sure of this story but it looks like -- the main leader of Daystar is Joni Lamb. Her son Jonathan Lamb was a prominent leader and board member, who said he discovered a close family member had abused his daughter (Joni Lamb's grand daughter). And then he was sort of censured and removed from office at Daystar.
And then Jonathan alleges there was a cover up and smear campaign against him, to hide the abuse of his daughter. And then he was sort of shunned, banned and exiled from the Daystar community. Hmmm, sounds like some of the same stuff that happens around ISKCON.
Joni Lamb has also claimed she is -- the voice of God no less, and has apparently suffered from being a bit of an imperious ruler. It looks like the whole program is sort of imploding internally, and the program is trying currently to make out that there is no problem -- and Daystar should just continue as if nothing happened. Well if you look at the angry comments from upset viewers and members, it does not look like business as usual will continue long term.
OK sex, lots of money, people in powerful "spiritual" positions -- mis-using their powers. Yeah i know, sounds like ISKCON all over again. But really these things happen all the time for centuries in our era because hey, it is Kali yuga.
Anything is however possible. The institution might continue with no severe effects. It might degrade and fall apart. But overall, these scandals tend to not take a lot of effect right away, but gradually eat away at the credibility of the institution, and cause eventual loss of manpower, money and support. And the place finally becomes a ghost town. OK what happened to ISKCON.
Anyway this is all very sad because "clergy abuse" and misuse of positions of power -- while posing as spiritual leaders -- causes a lot of damage to a lot of people who become victims. And it can cause some victims to experience severe grief, depression, substance abuse, and even -- taking their lives. So all we can do is hope for the best for the victims and their supporters.
Personally, I think Jonathan and Suzy Lamb look -- at least to me -- like honest and caring citizens who are concerned for the welfare of their daughter, and perhaps other victims, and even for the Daystar program itself. But when it comes to money, power, maintaining the institution at all costs, fanatical self appointed "God's spokesperson" leaders, and many other insidious side effects of bad theology, there seems to be no shortage of so many bogus "religious" institutions of Kali Yuga.
So we have to see how it all sorts itself out, but it looks like a bumpy ride for Daystar for their immediate future. The only good news is, at least the Christians know that their guru is not defective, but some of his alleged followers certainly -- are.
Thus, ISKCON's history is actually not that unique. The abuse of power of persons in posts of alleged spiritual authority happens all the time, and for centuries, at least -- in Kali Yuga. Which is very unfortunate for the victims, and for the whole planet, because the ill effects spread all over the human society and create an inauspicious by-product -- that clouds the atmosphere with contamination. OK also what happened to ISKCON, but which affects the whole world situation overall.
There is a lot of coverage of this issue all over the media right now, so it looks like, the cover up attempt is back firing. Wow, same as ISKCON. This also shows that a strong opposition personality is required to address these issues. Most people will just "go along to get along" and save their own position, and toss the victims under the bus. OK same as ISKCON.
So I gotta hand it to these expose people -- to be brave and bold enough -- to tackle the issue, even at the expense of losing their own position, getting threats and etc. And yes, they owe it to their daughter, and to the Daystar congregation, to get to the bottom of all this -- and have justice done and we hope the pressure increases to get more results.
Anyone who covers up child abuse is aiding and abetting the abusers, and that has to be checked in Daystar, ISKCON, and everywhere else. It is also sad that these problems sometimes just need public expose, because the leaders are too corrupt to act. And it is also sad that victims do not normally get this level of support, probably most victims never get any help or support.
Wow. Same as ISKCON. And people like us who advocate for ISKCON's victims get banned, removed, shafted, threats and maybe -- assassinated. Yup. It is Kali Yuga. There are many lessons in all this, and Krishna is clearly trying to teach many people something important here. Lets hope more of them wake up and receive the message.

Allegations of cover-ups, threats, and a smear campaign are flying among the family behind Daystar Television Network. The Dallas-area Christian broadcasting empire, which has an estimated yearly revenue of $100 million, was founded in 1993 by Marcus and Joni Lamb.
Until last spring, the couple’s son, Jonathan Lamb, was a Daystar vice president and served on its board. In April 2023, the heir apparent was demoted after refusing to sign a nondisclosure agreement (NDA). Earlier this month he was terminated for not meeting a performance improvement plan (PIP).
Now Jonathan Lamb and his wife, Suzy, are speaking out, saying they’ve been wronged. The couple, who once hosted a show on Daystar, allege that Joni Lamb has tried to cover up the sexual abuse of their daughter — her granddaughter —by an unnamed family member.
In response, Joni Lamb, Daystar’s president, said her son is waging a “failed power struggle” because he wasn’t named president after his father’s 2021 death. Rather than improve his own on-the-job performance, she said, Jonathan is “fabricating a smear campaign.”
Drama at Daystar Television Network
Daystar, which has more than 100 TV stations in the United States and a worldwide presence, is owned by the Word of God Fellowship. Pastors and teachers featured on the network include Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyer, Andrew Wommack, Paula White, and Jim Bakker.
Marcus Lamb, who opposed pandemic shutdowns and coronavirus vaccines, died from COVID-related complications in late 2021 at age 64. According to Jonathan Lamb, his father had chosen him to eventually head Daystar. But in August 2021, amid family strife, a new succession plan emerged, tapping Joni as the network’s next president.
Eight months after Marcus Lamb died, Joni was engaged to Doug Weiss, a sex therapist who had divorced his longtime wife just two months after Marcus’ death. Jonathan and Suzy Lamb reportedly objected on biblical grounds to the June 2023 marriage between Joni Lamb and Doug Weiss.
In a Nov. 25 statement, Joni Lamb said Jonathan’s “disappointment in not getting his way (to be Daystar president) only deepened when I married Doug Weiss, who has been such a blessing to me, the rest of my family, and Daystar.”
“Jonathan’s disappointment escalated to the point where he attempted to blackmail his way into becoming the future President of Daystar,” she said.
Joni Lamb, 64, then shared an email she said is from Jonathan, indicating he would share “harmful or embarrassing” information unless his “future role as President of Daystar” was clearly spelled out. Joni said she has “nothing to hide” and won’t give in to “threats of blackmail.”
