Peak Ignorance and Misrepresentation by ISKCON leaders.

In one recent (Nov'24) Indian National TV News interview a critic asks "Why did child abuse happen in ISKCON?"

The ISKCON representative - HG Amogh Leela prabhu replies two reasons :

1. Abuse in western world has a larger periphery, which in Indian terms would be a simple scolding or light slapping and not an abuse.

2. The devotees who taught spiritual subjects in gurukul were pure devotees and all were good. However, in the gurukul we also needed outsiders to teach Physics, Chemistry and Maths, and during this the outsiders who were actually not devotees came inside and abused children.

PADA: OK the problem of mass child abuse in ISKCON is not going away. Neither is the poison issue. In any case, the truth is gradually coming out. He really has no good explanation, and his explanation is full of misrepresentation. I invite people to comment on this video and explain what really happened. ys pd

WHAT HAPPENED HERE? 

PADA: First of all many of Srila Prabhupada's instructions were not being followed, and still are not. I think the main idea Srila Prabhupada had is -- that we, the adult citizens, would not allow crimes to go on in his society, especially criminal child mistreatment. 

I believe he was expecting the adult citizens to take criminal problems to law enforcement -- and have them take custody of the criminals and have the criminals made into examples and removed from the society. One of the questions I get from the media folks -- all the time is -- if there were as many as 2,000 children abused in ISKCON or more, why did almost none of the leaders or parents ever take these matters to the law enforcement? 

And when I was having ISKCON sued for $400,00,000, a number of leaders, seniors and -- parents -- were shouting in my face for "destroying ISKCON." In other words, many leaders and senior adults did not want to see the problem contained. I do not believe that was Srila Prabhupada intent or instruction. He did not want his society to become a haven for criminal activity, but the society became one de facto -- because of the lack of action on the part of the leaders and senior adults. 

But yeah, if there was as many as 2,000 abuse cases, and almost none of them were ever reported, and still aren't, and almost none of the perps were ever arrested, that is because there has been a lot of silent acceptance, acquiescing, enabling, and even -- vociferous defense -- of the people causing the problems. People were always arguing with me, even in 1979 when I said we cannot have our children worshiping deviants as their messiahs, it will harm them. Never mind the leaders are living like Saudi princes while the needs of children are not emphasized. 

And many folks still do argue with me about my taking action on this issue, in short -- most folks wanted us whistle blowers suppressed, and the results are self evident. ys pd

Bangladesh Is A Mess Update

Another ISKCON Namhatta Centre burned down in Bangladesh. The Deities of Sri Sri Laxmi Narayan Ji and all items inside the temple, were burned down completely.

The center is located in Dhaka.

Early morning today, between 2-3 AM, miscreants set fire to the Shri Shri Radha Krishna Temple and the Shri Shri Mahabhagya Lakshmi Narayan Temple, which fall under the Hare Krishna Namhatta Sangha, located in Dhour village, under then jurisdiction of Turag Police Station, Dhaka district.

The fire was initiated by lifting the tin roof at the back of the temple and using petrol or octane. Address: H-02, R-05, Ward-54, DNCC, Dhaka 1230. 

Those leaders who ditched supporting Chinmoy Krishna prabhuji now see. You can't be secular in !$£@m!c. F!ght or D!€ is the only option.
