Kaunteya's Bogus Book
AD: As I am a neophyte devotee, and it is thus my duty to be envious and find fault with others, I shall now make this nice post:
So there is one Mr. Kaunteya Das who has recently written one nice book where he talks all nonsense. In his new book he essentially says that all of Srila Prabhupada’s controversial statements on different topics are wrong. Here is one nice excerpt from the book:
Who can fathom the mind of God? I seriously doubt I can clearly grasp His divine plans. At the same time Lord Krishna is a rational person; supremely rational, in fact. Being also omnipotent, He could have certainly prevented Prabhupada from flawed impressions; receiving invalid information; or from repeating inaccurate notions. Why Krishna didn't protect his pure devotee from making erroneous affirmations, some of which today and in the future may be even deemed embarrassing?

"One answer that I consider plausible is as follows: religious movements (and ISKCON is no exception) tend to mythologize their spiritual leaders, raising them to the status of god-like, flawless beings; infallible individuals divested from pesky human frailties. Religious movements (and ISKCON is no exception) also have the habit of taking their founders as the final word in spiritual revelation; the highest manifestation of God's blessings to humanity; the ultimate and incomparable personification of divine benevolence and the unsurpassable apex in their traditions. The belief, stated or unstated, is that nobody in the future will ever be as good or as powerful as their founders. These tendencies appear as universal as they are childish and parochial. (Pages 323-324)
Also Mr. Anuttama Das and Mr. Hridayananda Goswami wrote introductory statements to this book, thus supporting the book. Anuttama, Hridayananda and Kaunteya all have GBC positions (Kaunteya is not an actual GBC, but a high level manager for the GBC). Perhaps someone should ask the GBC for a formal position statement regarding Mr. Kaunteya’s nice blasphemy book. I would be interested in hearing what they say.
GG: As per usual, big leaders presenting the book's forward to help this nonsense. The GBC is too much wiped out to make any concrete and conclusive statements on just about any topic these days. The more ISKCON deteriorates, the more they just want to take the money and run. Or that is how it looks.

Bhakti Vikas swami looks like a deranged lunatic when he "explains" how they are all eternal acharyas, and simultaneously ... falling like the Catholic Priests. And so we should expect a lot of illicit sex, drugs, crimes and ... lies to emanate from these so-called residents of Vaikuntha. Total lunatic without first grade understanding of anything.
Very strange, they are too worried about Srila Prabhupada making a controversy, when they have made an assorted group of clown car circus acts into their blessed eternal samadhi acharyas. It would be almost funny except, some of their clowns are child molesters, who might try to have us whacked if we challenge.
THE ISKCON GURUKULA SITUATION
THE ISKCON GURUKULA SITUATION
At my very first visit to Vrindavan in 1988, I witnessed a gurukula child of maybe 7 yrs old ... of Arican or Afro-American origin ... being lifted off the floor of the first floor gurukula veranda and slammed down onto the floor with the force akin to that of a dhobiwalla whacking a wet bedsheet onto a stone slab. The 'devotee' who did this repeated the act twice and then walked away from the child with the same nonchallance he had approached him.
The name of the aggressor is Toshan Krishna Das ACBSP. People like Bhavananda, Burijan, Jaggadish, Toshan Krishna and others, seem to have a lot of responsibility.
The suddenness and violence of this unprovoked attack left me in a state of shock and unable to react. There was another devotee by the name of Daruka das (from Australia or New Zealand) who had witnessed the attack. He too seemed so shocked and not knowing how to react. The next day I planned to give the aggressor an equally savage beating and was looking around for a suitable metal or wooden bar ... when I heard a lady screaming in distress "call my husband, call my husband".

The next day I planned to give the aggressor an equally savage beating and was looking around for a suitable metal or wooden bar ... when I heard a lady screaming in distress "call my husband, call my husband".
When the husband arrived, it was none other than the monster of the previous day. I saw her rush to her husband saying "Govinda is seriously ill". I gathered from this that Srimati Radharani was punishing him for the assault of the previous day and concluded there was no need for me to pursue my revenge.
I had come to Vrindavan in an attempt to find solace from the cumulative distress of years of tolerating a most insidious bully of a sannyasi GBC, whom I saw systematically destroy the efforts of many devotees and introduce a toxic legacy of intolerance and exclusion - like a new type of smarta culture. My attempt to reason with him had backfired with an ad-hominum verbal assault during which he accused me of having joined only to take advantage of ISKCON facilities, of having had the (fallen) guru I deserved, that Srila Prabhupada had wanted his temples to be for his brahamachari and sannyasi disciples only, that as a grhastha I was not welcomed and had to leave. Ironically, there I was in Vrindavan witnessing this assault on a minor.
When i tried to count my experiences to a gurukula resident swami, he countered by glorifying the bully sannyasi, i.e. totally invalidating me and everything I was saying.
A few days later I went into Srila Prabhupada samadhi, bowed down, recited his pranam mantra, stated I could no longer stay in his movement as I could no longer preach for people to join knowing full well they would be used and abused without any hope for redress and justice. I apologised and left.
My experience of ISKCON had impacted me on many levels. My health deteriorated, I began to doubt Srila Prabhupada as well as the bhakti process. Fortunately, over an extended period, i was able to recover and have drawn many unexpected and valuable lessons.
If the path of bhakti is the most beneficial for conditioned jivas in this Kali yuga, surely discouraging, damaging and destroying faith in this process has to be the greatest crime.
KP: So sorry for your bad experiences and helplessness as a result of which you felt it was best to leave the movement. Thank you for being here and sharing what you witnessed. Hopefully it will contribute to a wide awareness that things got to change and change for ever.
YD: I guess I’m made differently! I always react where Angels fear to tread! Just as well It wasn’t me there!!!

IF THE GURU IS FALSE, THEN HOW CAN THEY KEEP THE FAITH? THAT WILL BE BROKEN
Srila Prabhupāda: That is the secret of success. If one has got unflinching faith in his spiritual master and Kṛṣṇa, then he's successful. Two things. Guru-kṛṣṇa-kṛpā-pāya bhakti-latā-bīja*. So if the guru is false, then how they can keep their faith? That will be broken."

brahmāṇḍa bhramite kona bhāgyavān jīva
guru-kṛṣṇa-prasāde pāya bhakti-latā-bīja
SYNONYMS
brahmāṇḍa bhramite—wandering in this universe; kona—some; bhāgyavān—most fortunate; jīva—living being; guru—of the spiritual master; kṛṣṇa—of Kṛṣṇa; prasāde—by the mercy; pāya—gets; bhakti-latā—of the creeper of devotional service; bīja—the seed.
TRANSLATION
"According to their karma, all living entities are wandering throughout the entire universe. Some of them are being elevated to the upper planetary systems, and some are going down into the lower planetary systems. Out of many millions of wandering living entities, one who is very fortunate gets an opportunity to associate with a bona fide spiritual master by the grace of Kṛṣṇa. By the mercy of both Kṛṣṇa and the spiritual master, such a person receives the seed of the creeper of devotional service."
PURPORT
When we speak of brahmāṇḍa, we refer to the whole universe, or to the cluster of many millions of universes. In all universes, there are innumerable planets and innumerable living entities upon those planets in the air and in the water. There are millions and trillions of living entities everywhere, and they are engaged by māyā in suffering and enjoying the results of their fruitive activity life after life. This is the position of the materially conditioned living entities. Out of many of these living entities, if one is actually fortunate (bhāgyavān), he comes in contact with a bona fide spiritual master by Kṛṣṇa's mercy.
Kṛṣṇa is situated in everyone's heart, and if one desires something, Kṛṣṇa fulfills one's desire. If the living entity by chance or fortune comes in contact with the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement and wishes to associate with that movement, Kṛṣṇa, who is situated in everyone's heart, gives him the chance to meet a bona fide spiritual master.

If the living entity by chance or fortune comes in contact with the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement and wishes to associate with that movement, Kṛṣṇa, who is situated in everyone's heart, gives him the chance to meet a bona fide spiritual master.
This is called guru-kṛṣṇa-prasāda. Kṛṣṇa is prepared to bestow His mercy upon all living entities, and as soon as a living entity desires the Lord's mercy, the Lord immediately gives him an opportunity to meet a bona fide spiritual master. Such a person is fortified by both Kṛṣṇa and the spiritual master. He is helped from within by Kṛṣṇa and from without by the spiritual master. Both are prepared to help the sincere living being become free from this material bondage.
How one can become this fortunate can be seen in the life of Śrīla Nārada Muni. In his previous life he was born of a maidservant. Although he was not born into a prestigious position, his mother was fortunately engaged in rendering service to some Vaiṣṇavas. When these Vaiṣṇavas were resting during the Cāturmāsya period, the boy Nārada took the opportunity to engage in their service. Taking compassion upon the boy, the Vaiṣṇavas offered him the remnants of their food.
By serving them and obeying their orders, the boy became the object of sympathy for the Vaiṣṇavas, and, by the Vaiṣṇavas' unknown mercy, he gradually became a pure devotee. In the next life he was Nārada Muni, the most exalted of Vaiṣṇavas and the most important guru and ācārya of Vaiṣṇavas.
Following in the footsteps of Nārada Muni, this Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is rendering service to humanity by giving everyone a chance to come in contact with Kṛṣṇa. If one is fortunate, he becomes intimately related with this movement. Then, by the grace of Kṛṣṇa, one's life becomes successful. Everyone has dormant kṛṣṇa-bhakti-love for Kṛṣṇa-and in the association of good devotees, that love is revealed. As stated in Caitanya-caritāmṛta (Madhya 22.107):
nitya-siddha-kṛṣṇa-prema 'sādhya' kabhu naya
śravaṇādi-śuddha-citte karaye udaya
Dormant devotional service to Kṛṣṇa is within everyone. Simply by associating with devotees, hearing their good instructions and chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra, dormant love for Kṛṣṇa is awakened. In this way one acquires the seed of devotional service. Guru-kṛṣṇa-prasāde pāya bhakti-latā-bīja.

LD: Mayapur is really the headquarters isn't it. Kaunteya is supposed to be from there, attacking the statements of the acharya. And what about the rest of Mayapur? Attacking the children of the acharya ... attacking the devotees of the acharya ... attacking the books of the acharya.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jayapataka is the leader there for time immemorial. And the GBC goes there all the time and yet ... they and JPS do not see a problem. The GBC never notices there is a problem anywhere else either it seems.
And Anuttama writes a forward for the bogus book. Does it seem like the GBC hand picks the worst case people to be the leaders ... or is it just me.
I also see the type of devotees who come to the temple these days. No wonder the temple had to make a list of do and don't. They might discuss what seeds plants are best for marijuana cultivating ... but not issues of guru and tattva. And anyone who would discuss that ... would be bolted out the door in no time.
It is all about keeping up the status quota. A social beeja club. Lokanath followers are now complaining he has done so much service. Yah. Wrecking the standards for acharya and destroying the credibility of ISKCON and the acharyas is "a lifetime of preaching" .... the wrong thing.
Will he be buried in a samadhi next to pedophiles and pornography swamis, how nice is that. He might as well tie a cement block around his neck and tell Yamaraja to just let him drop to the bottom of the universe quickly, so Yamaraja's dogs won't be able to catch up to him and bite him on the way down.
This is just going from bad to worse. The more offenses they make, the more new offenses they make, and they are just gaining more speed and momentum ... to go down to the lower planets ... where they belong. I see now why some of the victims are praying all of them go away as soon as possible. They are just disgusting creatures who have hijacked our guru's house.
SD Dasi: Of course. Srila Prabhupada's statements need to be reviewed for "controversy." While Bhakti Vikas swami saying the GBC leaders are ... acharyas ... and acharyas are falling just like Catholic priests ... is not even seen as controversial ... or wrong.
ReplyDeleteAcharyas are equal to Catholic priests? ... does not even raise any eye brows in GBC leaders. They are attacking real acharya's words, while ... problems with their own words goes unnoticed. This is called hypocrisy. Srila Prabhupada told us to avoid word juggling gurus ... and they are masters of the art.
Jayapataka looks exactly like ... Jabba the Hutt. How could anyone not see that he is a very offensive man who is suffering from so many offenses ... such as ... making Mayapur a pedophile nest. And the fools in Los Angeles just took Jabba the Hutt there to ... give initiations!
How can this man save anyone when he cannot save himself. This has become a very dirty business ... and if one of their business chiefs starts a pedophile camp ... no problem ... as long as we can make money from the whole thing. In other words ... they don't even care that Mayapur has become a pedophile camp ... or that pedophiles are buried in samadhi ... they just want to conduct a business and make money for themselves.
At least some of us are WOKE on this issue. I'd rather be woke than dead at the wheel ... and have to fall into the lower regions ...
INCREASED WEIGHT OF MAYAPUR
ReplyDeleteHowever, Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī vetoed the planned laying of a branch railway line from Dhubuliya to Māyāpur and construction of a bridge over the Gaṅgā from Navadvīpa to Māyāpur, fearing that by giving easy access to all stripes of hodgepodge people, Māyāpur would become as commercialized as modern Navadvīpa.
Privately he said, “Don't increase the weight of the dhāma by bringing materialistic people here to pass stool.” He wanted that except during festivals, the pristine environment suitable for bhajana be preserved, and that only devotees serious about bhajana and sevā reside at Śrī Caitanya Maṭha. Thus he instructed the maṭha-rakṣaka Narahari Prabhu that any maṭha-vāsī inclined to sense indulgence be transferred to the Maṭha in Bombay, it being a city of sense enjoyment, and any maṭha-vāsī inordinately disturbed by the summer heat be sent during that season to the Maṭha in Darjeeling, where the mountain atmosphere remains pleasantly cool.
(from Sri Bhaktisiddhanta Vaibhava)
BJ: Correcting the acharyas? They are always correcting the acharyas. They have a whole elaborate system ... where their acharyas are all sort deviating ... all the time. And then they need correcting, censure and all the rest.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time ... they have all sort of goofy "acharya emeritus" like Satsvarupa. They never actually declare SDG has gone total insane maybe 40 years ago.
Now they are saying Srila Prabhupada is just another one of them, he also needs to be corrected. They are Kali Yuga sadhus. And Kali yuga sadhus are punished worse than the karmis ... because they are using Krishna as a business.
They almost never seem to get down to correcting their bogus acharyas, but they'll "correct" the bona fide acharyas. They are just going downhill faster and faster every day. Now, the same people who are making sour lemon gurus ... are going to correct the actual gurus? Bad to worse.
