More Evidence ISKCON's Child Abuse Cover-up (DGD)

I voted for keeping pedophiles like Lokanath in the parampara?

Ramesvara Dasa: I agree with the idea of grhasta couples as teachers in the gurukulas I believe in strict enforcement policies: for any proven abuser, simultaneous excommunication (term to be decided by CPO) and turned over to the police immediately. If the punishments are severe the demon abusers will start to fade away as they rot in prison.

[PADA: The demon abusers have had an army of fanatical defenders, i.e. followers of various GBC gurus, and that has enabled the abuse. Never mind some of the abusers are "gurus" themselves. If we go back to 1986, Ramesvara's goondas were helping Kirtanananda's goondas -- and that lead to Sulochana being assassinated right near the Los Angeles temple.

Later (1997) the Los Angeles police told me -- to avoid Watseka because "these people want to kill you." Even today Svavasa has a sort of violent thugs team who STILL defend Jayapataka and their entire Mayapur child molester messiah's project.

The people who should be rotting in prison are the orchestrators of this regime, in other words, the greater percent of ISKCON leaders, and their pedophile messiah's program's boot lickers like Svavasa and his thugs. The police said the Svavasa thugs want to kill you, and that is how folks like Svavasa helped get thousands of children molested, he is an enforcer for the regime and so are his thugs.

The entire perp enabling regime needs to be taken to task, not only the perps. That is why New York State passed the Good Samaritan Law, anyone who knows about a crime is required to report it. ys pd angel108b@yahoo.com]

DGD: Dear Prabhus, Hare Krsna. Jaya Srila Prabhupada. I saw this statement attributed to Jayapataka Swami, spoken recently in ISKCON Mayapur, in regards to child protection and child maltreatment connected with the ISKCON Mayapur community- "So, we have heard that in the past, maybe there was some kind of abuse of our children."

I’ll mention that early in 1999, and then again early in 2000, in ISKCON Mayapur, I personally spoke with Jayapataka Swami about the history of severe, brutal, egregious child abuse in ISKCON Mayapur. I conveyed to him the findings of the April, 1999 report, Report on the Bhaktivedanta Gurukula Village.

In these talks with Jayapataka Swami I expressed about the extent of the physical, sexual and emotional child abuse in ISKCON Mayapur, dating back to the late 70s, and I emphasized about the concealments, cover-ups, deceptions about the cover-ups, etc., related to this child abuse.

We discussed about how those responsible for perpetrating and allowing the abuse, were again and again placed, by persons in positions of top leadership in ISKCON Mayapur, in positions of authority over children, and thus year after year children were neglected, abused, and maltreated in horrendous ways.

Vedasara Prabhu was present with Jayapataka Swami and I for at least one of these meetings in Mayapur. Perhaps one or two others, such as Dayarama Prabhu,
were also present. Also, during those years, I wrote to Jayapataka Swami about the horrendous history of child abuse at ISKCON Mayapur.

Also during those years, Jayapataka Swami visited Alachua, where I reside. On at least one of his visits my family and I hosted Jayapataka Swami at our home, and on another visit we were with Jayapataka Swami at a small gathering at the home of Ambarisa and Svaha Prabhus, in Alachua. It’s possible, though I don’t clearly remember, that Jayapataka Swami and I discussed child protection related to ISKCON Mayapur, during one or more of those Alachua visits.

Assuming that Jayapataka Swami did speak the words above mentioned, then it seems, based on his use of “maybe”, in “maybe there was some kind of abuse of our children”, that my efforts to communicate were largely ineffective.

Not long ago Sanaka Rsi Prabhu posted the letter from Sri Ram Prabhu, who served as ISKCON Director (or, maybe, Minister) of Education, from 1991. Sri Ram addresses that letter to ISKCON Mayapur leadership. Sri Ram expressed there that, it seemed to him, that, through the 80s, and into the early 90s, it was a well-known “secret”, throughout the ISKCON organization worldwide, about the terrible child maltreatment, including sexual abuse, that children were suffering in ISKCON Mayapur. And, Sri Ram goes on to write in that letter, his perception was that the only ones not aware of the “secret”, were most of those in leadership positions at ISKCON Mayapur.

My view is that it’s safe to conjecture that a main person to whom Sri Ram’s words were directed, was Jayapataka Swami, considering that Jayapataka Swami had been a primary Governing Body Commissioner for ISKCON Mayapur through the 80s, and into the 90s (and, after the time of Sri Ram’s letter, into the 2000s, and through the early 2020s). Again, based on Jayapataka Swami’s use of “maybe”, it would appear that Sri Ram’s attempts at communication were also not particularly successful.

And, it’s difficult for me to imagine that Jayapataka Swami wasn’t aware of the report issued by Hari Sauri Prabhu in 2007, and the Red Flags articles that I wrote in 2010, and, etc., etc. In one of those articles I mention, with much concern, that, based on what I had heard, the so-called Child Protection Team Director of ISKCON Mayapur at that time, regarded what happened in ISKCON Mayapur, from the late 70s through the early 90s, to be “…merely a play – game and not a CPT issue”.

In that article I wrote, “Based on my experience as director of the Association for the Protection of Vaisnava Children from 1998-2004, the child maltreatment in Mayapur from the late 1970s through the early 1990s was the most severe in the history of ISKCON. I believe that anyone with even a vague awareness of the history of child abuse in ISKCON would agree that that statement says a lot.”

I understand and appreciate that since the 1960s Jayapataka Swami has rendered tremendous service for Lord Caitanya’s sankirtana movement. Hare Krsna.
Sincerely, DG dasa.

  1. DM: Absolutely disgraceful.

Just goes to show, every single one of them are guilty of either directly perpetuating horrendous actions or cover ups EVERY SINGLE ONE. Even JPS, even TKG, even GKS, definitely Kirtanananda, definitely Jayatirtha, definitely Bhavananda and the list goes on and on and on and on . . .
Actually ISKCON should have been absolutely massive by now. But somehow our leaders felt it more important to put ambition, greed and lust for opulence before truth and vaisnava principles, totally destroying what ISKCON was meant to be all about and what Prabhupād really wanted.

No point trying to fix the current ISKCON - Just start a brand new one (actually the old one) with Srila Prabhupad in the center again. With the emphasis on preaching, book distribution and harinam and reading Prabhupāda's original books like it used to be. And devotees ask where it all went wrong. It's pretty plain to see!

There are enough devotees now who are no longer blinded by the tricks and flowery words of these rascals posing as holy men. So let's band together like Bangalore and other temples have and bring it all back to Prabhupād. There isn't and won't be anyone qualified to be an actual guru for thousands of years yet. So let's Acknowledge that Prabhupād is the only acharya for us (especially Westerners) for this age and all initiations need to be performed by initiators ON HIS BEHALF(Prabhupāda's words), not to become gurus in their own right. This bogus system must stop now!
