[PADA: Lots of people are not happy that Jayapataka, Pancaratna etc al. are only now talking about zero tolerance for child abuse, after they combinedly made Mayapura a sort of pilgrimage site for molesters and molesting. Way too little, way too late, that is the consensus. The damage has been done already and almost no one has confidence that the people who created this mess, can fix it. I agree.
Got a nice message from an East Coast devotee who says eventually -- the PADA view of ISKCON history will be accepted by all Vaishnavas -- in the future. And many of them already accept now, like him and his associates. Very encouraging. We are gaining, that is for sure.

HOW DID ISKCON'S TRAIN WRECK HAPPEN?
Prabhus, today lots of what is called "ISKCON" simply has absolutely nothing at all to do with what Shrila Prabhupada had in mind when he founded the Hare Krishna Movement in the West. Much of it is unrecognizable.
Lately some staunch Godbrothers and Godsisters have been printing a quote from one of Guru Maharaja's talks. l It is about how the puffed-up disciple becomes "finished," if he thinks he knows more than his spiritual master.
See this: "Caitanya Mahāprabhu says that 'You all, every one of you become guru, everyone." Āmāra ājñāya guru haña tāra ei deśa (CC Madhya 7.128). Wherever you are living, it doesn't require that you have to travel all over the world. If you have no such capacity, it doesn't matter. You remain wherever you are, but you become a guru. 'How I become a guru?' Yāre dekha tāre kaha kṛṣṇa upadeśa: (CC Madhya 7.128) 'Very simple thing. You instruct only what is instructed by Kṛṣṇa. That's all.' Don't invent. Don't become overintelligent. Remain a poor fool. Guru more mūrkha dekhi śāsana, korilā śāsana (CC Adi 7.71).
Caitanya Mahāprabhu also presenting Himself as a great fool because He says,
"My Guru Mahārāja found Me a great fool." He was a fool? He was Kṛṣṇa Himself. But one should remain always a fool before Guru Mahārāja. That is progress.
"If he thinks, 'I know more than my Guru Mahārāja, then he's fallen.
"If he thinks, 'I know more than my Guru Mahārāja, then he's fallen.
Yasyāprasādād na gatiḥ kuto 'pi. Then he is finished. So we should always remain a fool before the spiritual master, even though one is incarnation, not that "I am incarnation; therefore I have become God." No. Even if you are incarnation, you should remain a humble servant."
ISKCON has encountered one train wreck after another since the departure of Srila Prabhupada -- scandals, murders, dozens of gurukula suicides, thefts, marriage is a joke to many, millions spent on changed books, there are now many bogus "Hindu" and New Age festivals, and there has been expensive court cases, and generally much money wasted on opulent lives for many of these so-called "gurus,' who have been falling one after another.
But what was the starting point or this disaster? It happened the moment Shrila Prabhupada left. Even some days before His Divine grace entered mahasamadhi, the future zonals held meetings to find out "Who wants to be a guru?"
At one of the meetings, Sudama dasa told Tamal, "Prabhupada has not even departed and here you are planning how to be an acharya."
Without any respect for Shrila Prabhupada's spiritual genius of introducing a genuine conception of religion to the world, these eleven arrogant men climbed upon holy seats, asanas they were not qualified to sit on, and demanded worship equal to all the previous acharyas in the sampradaya. This mental speculation has led to the train wreck in ISKCON that you see today.
No devotee back in the 1970s would ever have imagined that the same devious Mayavadis that Prabhupada defeated -- he ate their bogus philosophy alive like a shark -- would be reintroduced into ISKCON. But here we are in the 21st century ISKCON, a time when you can find sexual predators, Muktananda followers, CIA agent Baba Ramdasas, speculators like Neem Karoli and others glorified at ISKCON Centers and "Festivals of Color."
Now a walking speculator monk, homo gurus, and a laundry list of other deviations have become the order of the day. Meanwhile ISKCON gurus strut about at a Govardhan Hill "Golden Jubilee" for a molester like Lokanath. Samadhis for murderers and molesters and deviants have been built in the holy lands of Krishna.
But the true disciple remembers, "If you think for a second that you are more intelligent that your spiritual master, then at once you are finished." The moment ISKCON went off track, the moment eleven ordinary men elected themselves as pure devotees, everything became finished. As we learn, a train that is even one inch off the track is doomed.

P DASI: Srila Prabhupada's instructions are always available and self evident. You want to be cheated Krishna will provide cheating.
Srila Prabhupada knew his disciples who had usurped his position and disobeyed his direct instructions locking him up for a week and starving him in order to secure power and positions would never be qualified so he ordered Ritvik mantra so all would be directly transferred from their initiating spiritual masters to Srila Prabhupada's lotus feet.
Iskcon GBC can never cheat Srila Prabhupada's mission forever despite their best efforts to destroy Krishna and his devotees. Even if you refuse to accept Sri Guru's instructions automatically you will follow them in time because they are eternal transcendental instructions. You retain free will but Krishna will continue to support you and give you unlimited opportunity to follow Sri Guru parampara life after life.
M Dasi: It looks to me like the train engineers of the train wreck, like Bhagwan, Hansadutta, Jayapataka, Kirtanananda, Jayatirtha, Satsvarupa, Tamal ... and others ... also got severely damaged in their own train wreckage. They drove the train off the cliff, and they went over the cliff with it. And then their train produced a toxic cloud that frightened away most of the surviving passengers, who had to flee the scene.
ReplyDeleteJust look at the state of the 11 "pure devotees from Krishna loka." They ended up in hellish conditions here, and what to think of where they will go next.
Satsvarupa always says "we goofed." No! You did not goof, you calculated that this ISKCON train would be going 500 mph into the 30 mph curve, and that it would crash and burn. And then the thousands of passengers would suffer and die.
You made all this happen by your constantly encouraging and administering ... and placing your lead foot on the throttle ... to speed up the train and make it crash. And Satsvarupa still has his bogus classes, telling them he is their guru. And the GBC does nothing about it because they are all part of the bogus guru scheme even now.
You fellows drove the train off the cliff, and you did not goof, you did this intentionally. And now Jayapataka is left with the job of trying to fix his wrecked train, but he is a wreck himself. He could not fix a broken tea cup with super glue, never mind fix the train wreck he made out of ISKCON.
At least they now know it needs fixing, but no one will trust the people who drove the train 500 mph into the 30 mph curve with fixing their wreck. They have lost the devotee's confidence. And almost everyone is voting with their feet to stay away from their wreck, it is producing toxic clouds, and they will stay way until all this is cleaned up ... and re-certified as cleaned up.
