Are Russia and Ukraine Suffering "Bad Karma"? (CW Prabhu)

PADA thanks to CW: In a cyber conversation with CW prabhu, he said it looks to him like Russia and Ukraine have given shelter to the GBC's bogus gurus -- and that is giving their countries "collective bad karma" -- for supporting the worship of bogus gurus. And so now these countries will have to suffer "bad karma" from their promoting the worship of the GBC's bogus (pedophile) guru system. 

What is my opinion? Well that is possible. As we know from Chaitanya Charitamrita, sometimes the whole village has to suffer for the sins of one man. We really do not think the citizens there wanted to worship bogus people on purpose -- most of them just do not know the GBC's guru's history.

The ISKCON history in summary is: in 1978 the ISKCON leaders first of all promoted their homosexual and child molesting guru program in the West, especially in the USA. And it was devastating for the ISKCON society overall, and thus -- the society was almost entirely wiped out. That would include most of Europe as well. Their molester messiah's project was rejected by the mass of devotees, rejected by the karmis, and overall reported as a criminal clown show REPEATEDLY in the mass media, and then the temples became empty. "Ghost towns." 

And then the society was eventually declared officially bankrupted. Not a good place to recruit new innocent people, because the history of all their crimes and offenses is too well known (from the endless bad mass media reports). Even some New Vrndavan people told a lady writer recently -- their all too numerous scandals are widely well known publicly -- therefore almost no one is coming to ISKCON anymore due to the bad name ISKCON has. ISKCON has become a casualty of its own self-inflicted -- almost fatal -- wound.

New Vrndavana's Tapah punja just now wrote a letter chastising the GBC for not making farms in Ukraine. Oh wait, he was Kirtanananda's henchman who ruined New Vrndavana and made ISKCON into an international laughingstock. And he was evidently one of the parties involved in suppressing Sulochan. Hey, a farm that worships pedophiles is not going to prosper. Duh! OK he is right though, they did not make farms, or not sufficiently.

Some newer person also wrote to comment to me just now, about how he just cannot believe everyone walked off and let the pedophile guru hi-jackers take over the society. "How is this even possible?" he asked me. "All these kids are molested, and the police are not brought in? Ever? Seems impossible to believe." Well yup, it is. But that is the factual history of what happened.

Enter the ISKCON leader's plan "B". Let us move our bases of operations off shore, where people are more ignorant of our history. Off they go! Trivrikrama swami goes to Poland. Prabhavishnu, Shivaram, Niranjan, Gopal Krishna, Indradyumna and others -- go to former Soviet states -- or Ukraine -- or Russia itself. Umapati goes to China (and gets into trouble there). 

Kavicandra hides out in Africa. Basu Ghosh, Radhanath, Bhakti Vikas swami and others flee to India. Jayapataka is already there, and he has a crew of folks like Bhavananda, Hari Sauri, Satadhanya, Nitai chand, Dhanurdar and other bad actors, also chasing people away from that project. OK mostly Russian and Ukraine people going there, because they do not know the real story. 

Meanwhile Ravindra Swarupa, Satsvarupa, Tamal Krishna, Vaisesika, Romapada and others stay in the West, but only to make a mainly Hindu program. Even some Hindu man complains recently that Vaisesika cannot make even one Western follower in decades. So now Russia and Ukraine are the main places for the GBC's developing program. Enter Mr. Snidely Whiplash Putin, and he seems to be tossing a wrench into their operations. Or even, making their operations very hard to manage. And for sure, crimping down and suppressing their operations. 

Now one thing is, and hopefully people will understand this point clearly, PADA does hold a grudge against the followers of the GBC's gurus there or anywhere else per se. For the most part, they were never apprised of the actual situation. They are thus -- again for the most part, victims. For example, some of the INDIA ICC sympathy folks wrote to complain to me -- why is the Lokanath issue only being brought up now? 

They have no idea it was brought up previously, and repeatedly, but in the West. They were just exploited for their ignorance of these issues. 

Anyway, CW could be right about collective karma there being connected to these bogus gurus. Russia and Ukraine are falling into a bad situation, and it could get a lot worse. And by the looks of things, it will get a lot worse. Is this connected to their promoting the bogus GBC gurus? Who can say, but that is not helping them on the karma front unfortunately. 

Meanwhile my armchair warrior retired army captain neighbor says, this is the result of our hesitating to send in thousands of anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles to Ukraine a long time ago. We always knew it would come to this, so we gave the Kremlin a green light to go in there. Maybe so. Of course karma is what it is, and it may not be stopped easily by any means. Fixing karma does not always work out too well, it has its own process, which is really impossible to cheat -- in the end.

Meanwhile, we wish all parties well -- and hope Krishna helps the devotees of all stripes out in this mess. We need the newer folks to stay alive so they can eventually understand these issues. We do have a certain Ukraine regular readership of PADA, and we especially hope for our reader's welfare. War is hell and it has all sorts of causes, but for sure it won't be easy for anyone there. 

Of course ruining and nearly stopping the harinama samkirtana movement as the bogus GBC has done, is certainly one of the causes of accelerating the tragic situations all over the earth at present. For example, one PADA reader is Australia says they are trapped by a big flood, the likes of which has never been seen there. Even the ants, mice and snakes are drowning in ways never seen there. 

In sum! Things are not getting better, and by stomping down the Krishna religion, things will get worse faster. Anyway. Good luck to all the folks in the Ukraine war zone, and all the folks in the crashing Russian economy zone. Things are going to get more difficult for you folks -- and we wish all the best. While the tendency for a living entity in such a situation is naturally to be overcome with fear, our devotees are finding that Srila Prabhupada has offered them an extraordinary alternative -- they are taking shelter of the Holy Names, of the association of the Vaisnavas, and of the most merciful Sri Sri Radha-Madhava who have appeared in Kyiv in their beautiful deity forms.

Correcting False Reports Re: ISKCON Ukraine Food Relief and Sheltering
Misinformation has been circulating on social media and other media outlets (not ISKCON News) that fifty-plus ISKCON temples and centers in Ukraine are providing food relief and shelter for the public.

ISKCON News has confirmed that this information is false. According to ISKCON authorities on the ground in Ukraine, there is only one prasadam distribution program operating at this time. It is located in the eastern part of Ukraine, in Donetsk. ISKCON News confirmed this during a zoom call with Acyuta Priya das, ISKCON Zonal Supervisor for Ukraine, at 6 AM EST, Sunday February 27. Hare Krishna Food Relief programs have begun in Hungary to feed refugees, as reported earlier today by ISKCON News. Leaders of other ISKCON temples in Europe including Poland, are hoping to start similar programs in the near future for refugees.

Large-scale distribution of sanctified vegetarian food, prasadam, is an integral part of the services provided by ISKCON. It is our intention to assure that only accurate information is provided regarding that important relief work.
As the events in Ukraine are changing rapidly, we request that devotees, other readers, and the media are especially careful to verify any information they receive, and not repost unconfirmed reports.

To confirm: ISKCON is not able to provide shelter or food distribution at our temples in Ukraine at this time. We pray for peace for all the people of Ukraine and the entire region. Hare Krishna.

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I just now spoke to both Vraja Mohan and Sri Guru Carana Padma. I've known them both for a long time. They are orginally from Almaty, Kazakhstan and have been living in Chicago for many years. I spent several days with both of them in the winter of 2018.
They are responsible devotees. They know devotees in Kharkiv, Ukraine and have been speaking to them. These devotees described the plight of many devotees living in Kharkiv without access to water, electricity, etc. as described. I know for a fact that Kharkiv was hit hard because I spoke to my disciple in Kiev yesterday, whose mother, also my disciple, was in a dangerous situation living near Kharkiv.

The devotee that Vraja Mohan and Sri Guru know in Kharkiv is a senior, trusted devotee. This devotee said that just recently she was able to receive funds from Kazakhstan. So Sri Guru and Vraja Mohan are sending the funds they receive through their US tax-exempt organization to Kazakhstan and it is being forwarded from Kazakhstan to this devotee in Kharkiv. She, in turn, is disbursing funds with other devotees living near to her who are in a similar distressed situation. It's grass roots, but because I know Sri Guru and Vrajamohan personally, I trust their intentions.

During our conversation I also mentioned about the other contact information I provided to you with regards to getting funds into Kyiv. Sri Guru asked me for those details so that she can promote that as well. Both Kharkiv and Kyiv are being hit hard.

Dear Prabhuji

Today I spoke with Vamsi Madhava Prabhu. It was not an easy conversation. They shot at him. He lives in a small village in the Kherson region. It's on the border with Russia. According to him, they shot at the heart, but since the bullet went through the fence, its trajectory deviated to the side and the bullet hit the arm. Luckily it didn't hit the bones. He is recovering. But in a conversation with him, I felt how hard it was for him. He and his family are surrounded. Food for two or three days and there is nowhere to buy them. The windows of his house are covered with bricks. The area is being shelled. Nevertheless, he strongly believes in the protection of Krishna. Tomorrow I will talk to him longer and reassure him as much as I can. Today I was able to talk for no more than half an hour. 

But even that inspired him a lot. He was especially pleased that devotees, even from the United States, were interested in his situation. He almost wept with gratitude for being prayed for. He promised to send me his bank card number. I will try to find people who can help him with money. Unfortunately, I can't help him now, because I can't get home myself and I have to take care of other people. But I'll think of something.

Forgive me for all sorts of mistakes. My English is still very bad and I use google translator.
