NL Dasi "We Have to Care For Others"

NL Dasi: It's so easy to stay in ignorance, thinking that only one's own (spiritual) life matters. That is the general policy within the greater society and seems to be so in our devotional society as well. But is that really acting in the mode of goodness?

It may appear that fighting spirit is not good for one's spiritual life, but actually Krsna is asking us to have that when speaking Bhagavad-gita to Arjuna. He says that although He has arranged everything, we are supposed to do our part. That's also spiritual life, not just silent meditation away from troubles and other people.

We are supposed to care about others, not just ourselves and our nearest and dearest. Of course it's little difficult to grasp the extensiveness of the demoniac plans of the global (satanistic) elite, but we should be aware that they definitely exist, their influence is everywhere(!) and is meant to make us brainless easily-controllable slaves.

To avoid that, it really helps to understand that we are being fed a false reflection of 'reality', and that it would actually help us to carry out our mission, the mission of Srila Prabhupada, if we would take time to try to see the connections and bigger picture (through the shastra), through the cover-ups, and would become detached from the illusion of safety (of which we all have our own ideas) that we like to believe in. Chanting Hare Krsna is our main business, but that's not always quite enough, since most of us are not on the transcendental platform yet, chanting suddha-nama and giving krsna-prema to others.

It really is worth discussing these things, since everyone has different amount and type of knowledge and realizations, which help to come closer to the truth. It's true that we can never really grasp everything, since that is what only Krsna and some rare sages can do, but it should not stop us from acquiring at all.

Better to have some idea than none and sheepishly follow without deeply thinking and questioning things happening around us. Part of Krsna consciousness is being conscious. For many that is actually the starting point to spiritual life. Why make it too easy for the demoniac to rule over us. These things are really serious and we should care. And it all brings us closer to Krsna when our motivation is pure, the well-fare of ALL.

It does not make one less Krsna conscious to be aware of all the conspiracies, when we have the right understanding of ultimately Krsna being behind it all, and staying detached, although trying to wake people up from the comfortable illusion they are sleeping on the lap of Mayadevi. Kali-yuga is not such an easy age, even in the Hare Krsna movement. Krsna can test us in so many ways.

I really hope people would start realizing that. When we actually start caring, it really brings us closer to Krsna, no matter what other people have to say about it. It's the time of the awakening of the collective consciousness, and I would like to see that happening in Iskcon also... Starting with establishing the DOM that Srila Prabhupada gave us to be followed.. So that we could actually lead people to truly dharmic life and present a society without cheating and indifference. To not become like other organised religions, but to strictly maintain the principles given by Srila Prabhupada and the scriptures. Hare Krsna.

[PADA: Correct. We have to care about others, or we have not understood the siddhanta. So many devotees told me "I don't have time for that (caring for others). I have to chant my rounds." OK then, while your society is being burnt to ashes, women and children are suffering terribly, you only have time to "chant your rounds."

And that fixes what exactly?

Yes, we have to actively defend the society, and its women, children, weak, sick, helpless, elderly, and so on and so forth -- or we do not have a society. And yes, the molester messiah's project is a conspiracy. And the poison issue, establishing pedophiles as gurus etc. -- is at the root of this conspiracy. More people are starting to figure that out. This lady thinks there is a Satanic pedophile conspiracy in the society at large, and it has taken root in ISKCON. She has a good point.

One devotee said -- it is very sad that a victim of abuse has to make a video asking Lokanath to step down, so ISKCON can be saved. And meanwhile others are silent -- because they evidently don't care if ISKCON is saved or not. They won't fight for justice, because they evidently have no idea what the Bhagavad Gita is teaching. ys pd]
