Balavanta prabhu had a heart attack while jogging on the beach in Daytona. He fell to the ground. By Krishna's mercy someone on the beach witnessed it, resuscitated him and called 911. He is currently in hospital.
We pray that Krishna protect him and his consciousness. May he recover fully to continue his service to Srila Prabhupada and the devotees. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to His Grace Balavanta prabhu.
PADA: I think he is now scheduled for surgery.
Someone told me Balavanta was active with the GBC up to the time they all had their reform meetings at New Vrndvana. A person who was at those meetings said I was correct, Kirtanananda was sitting on a big seat covered with the hands of many boys. Everyone could see -- since this was on a big raised stage.
And yet no one complained, or probably even noticed this was a problem. He said Balavanta was present at that meeting, pretty much siding with the reformers (who wanted to be voted in as gurus).
He said at the meeting there was a lot of anger, even shouting, by the people who wanted to be voted in as gurus. But just about no one was complaining that these 11 gurus were never authorized, they just wanted to have themselves authorized as gurus.
Overall, there was a lot of Prabhupada devotees there, those residing at New Vrndavan, and many visting. But none of them were discussing the real problem -- Srila Prabhupada's guru position was being hi-jacked by these deviants. Or that the CBS TV news crew's idea of these meetings was -- that Kirtanananda is "in pedophile heaven" being covered with the hands of these boys. Why did no one grab him off that seat?, the CBS newslady asked me.
Balavanta did say that he recalls Kirtanananda starting to initiate in late 1977, and he thought that was premature and not well thought out. OK long story short, these guys like Kirtanananda, Ramesvara, Rupanuga, Satsvarupa, Ravindra, Balavanta and many others were part of the post-1978 ISKCON steering committee -- which was steering the society off a cliff -- into homosexual and pedophile deviated guru cults and criminal programs.
Then, when the society's house was burning down, and the ISKCON citizens in the house were on fire and screaming for help, the steering committee guys -- who were doing most of the steering -- and helped drive the ISKCON house into this madness -- mostly just left. Exit stage right! "I resign." OK so now the suffering citzens are left in the mess these folks helped co-create and orchestrate, with no help on the horizon.
That is my biggest complaint about these guys. Me and Sulochana are being hunted like dogs, and they are having a big meeting making a reform with the leaders of the hunting party. And one of the main leaders is sitting on a big throne covered with the hands of a number of boys. That means we whistle blowers are left flapping in the breeze, nevermind all the women, children and other victims.
Later on Balavanta was involved with the poison issue, maybe the year 2000, and same thing, he could not make a firm assist for us then either. He did write me once to tell me, do not send me your newsletters. OK.
The person at the reform meeting says -- Balavanta is a lawyer who specializes in helping victims. Well sure, and he should have helped us ISKCON victims first. Anyway! All that being said, I do not wish him unwell. I hope he recovers and he starts to spill the beans on the whole guru hoax.
In any case, God speed spirit soul. Good luck on your soul's journey. Unfortunately, I also do believe that the people who were at the steering wheel of the steering committee will -- at some stage -- have to be held accountable for that activity. I can forgive others, and I often do. However, the laws of God are vastly more powerful and superior to any of my flimsy recommendations.

BRAHMATIRTHA
I am reaching out on behalf of a old, dear friend. He wants to live in our community, he is a senior citizen (healthy etc) and wants to live with like-minded devotees. Initially (could be long term depending on compatibility) he is looking for a shared home or separate living space, until he is settled with a job, car etc, He is limited on his budget, so this is more of a favor and act of love. Of course he will pay etc
I know him 40 years, I personally vouch for his character, he is professional, not married, has grown children and grandchildren . He is a disciple of HDG 1st and 2nd initiation. He is a stage 4 cancer survivor and wants to be here with us.
I am asking the vaisnava community to help him relocate to a peaceful environment temporarily or could be long term please contact Brahmatirtha das at bobcohen@bihstudies.org
PADA: Why are all these senior devotees getting stage 4 cancers? Why are they always struggling to find a place to live? Why are all the elite leaders getting top notch medical and housing, vehicles etc. but not the peons? ys pd
CHILDREN's MENTAL HEALTH
I think a lot of people fail to realize, forcing children to worship conditioned souls as their eternal links to God is psychological and spiritual abuse -- right out of the gate. Of course this has made a situation ripe for actual physical abuse, which has been rampant as well. A middle aged ex-Krishna kid -- now a mom -- has now realized that her parents coercing her to take Satsvarupa as her guru was -- severely misguided advice.

A middle aged ex-Krishna kid -- now a mom -- has now realized that her parents coercing her to take Satsvarupa as her guru was -- severely misguided advice.
She says when she sees the madness art of Satsvarupa, she is mortified to think anyone would have coerced her to worship this lusty mad artiste man -- as her eternal link to God. So now she is feeling mentally shocked and mortified at her parents making her worship this man, and that is called psychological abuse. Worse, her devotee husband's parents told them to have their kids initiated by another ISKCON guru, who was also another lusty and fallen person.
So the people giving bad advice to children are part of the issue, not just the gurus themselves. Anyway this mother is right, just looking at the art of SDG is mortifying, even if he is not your guru. This reminds me of my high school girl friend crush. She was ordered to kiss the face of a departed relative at a funeral, and after that, she was too mortified -- to kiss me or anyone else. Making children do mortifying things when they are kids can last for a long time, even a lifetime. ys pd
UKRAINE AND KARMA

UKRAINE AND KARMA
The mills of God grind slowly; but, They grind extremely well.

After the war of Kuruksetra, Dhritarashtra asked Krishna: I had a hundred children and all of them were killed. Why?
After the war of Kuruksetra, Dhritarashtra asked Krishna: I had a hundred children and all of them were killed. Why?
Krishna replied: Fifty lives ago, you were a hunter and during a hunt, you tried to shoot a bird, but it flew away, in anger, you ruthlessly killed its hundred chicks in the nest, so the bird had to watch your cruelty in helpless agony. Because you caused this bird the pain of seeing its hundred children die, you also had to endure the pain of seeing your hundred children dead.
Dhritarastra said: But why did I have to wait fifty lives?
Krishna replied: You have been accumulating Punya (credits for pious deeds), for the last fifty lives, to obtain a hundred children, because this requires a lot of Punya. Then then, you had the reaction to the Pope (sin) that you committed fifty lives ago.
Krishna says in the Bhagavad-gita (4.17) "Ghana Karmano Gatih" The way action and reaction work is very complex. God knows best what reaction to be given, at what moment and under what condition. Therefore, Some reaction may come in this life, Some in the next life and some in a distant future life. There is a saying that goes, "God's mills grind slowly, but they grind perfectly well."
Thus, every action will be accounted for, sooner or later the reaction will come. Srimad Bhagavatam gives an example: If we place a thousand calves in a stable and then the mother cow of only one of those calves, the cow will easily find out where her calf is among all those calves, as she has this mystical ability.
Similarly,
Our karma will find us among millions of beings on this planet. Sometimes, there can be thousands of people on a road, but only one or more suffers an accident. It's not by chance, it's by Karma. Therefore, the Law of Karma works very well; it may be Slow to act, but no one can escape it.

KM: So many devotees talk about being concerned about child abuse etc. But very few will actually stand up and do something about it. Yes the GBC definitely have to take responsibility for their part but so do temples and individuals.
In South Africa there are a few known child abusers but just about everyone pretends like they don’t know, partly because they are so called older devotees, nice people, their wives were lovely people and on it goes. So how many more children have been abused by them.
If more individuals made a noise in their temples it would help. Child protection has to be everyone’s business.
PR: When I was staying at the Hillbrow temple, with our kids and other children were there too, a known child abuser came to reside there. I made some noise about it to the TP and he soon left. Like you said, we should all put our hands up, make some noise, so to speak, and protest agaisnt these things.
TP: Killing someone's bhakti is worse than killing a body of a person!
PC: That would require a human quality called 'empathy' those people and their peers are so evidently missing. but even without empathy, just following their scriptures and preceptors should be enough. an offender must humbly beg forgiveness from the offended, that's Mahaprabhu's teaching, and even after that he should lead a life of humble service. Bhaktisiddhanta considered himself an offender and never ate mangos having eaten an unoffered one as a child of 5ys.
but gbcs claim 'authority' as a synonim of 'power', whereas in their role they should be 'authoritative' and respected for their character and wisdom. How long will iskcon wait for that, if ever?..
GP: From studying the pattern of abuse statics show us some of the victims of abuse become abusers abusing others in the way they were themselves were abused, and some victims do not abuse others.
Being systemic in society this subject is extensively studied and well documented, it is offen used as a weapon of war by governments and others against populations they wish to dominate.
SF: Laypersons, especially devotee know very little about nature of evil people. (Sometime long into after they 've been caught in their trap ).
That is also why it is so hard to clean up ISKCON. It is hard to comprehend at first, but evil people think differently. Smart ones amongst the evil -doers are good at hiding their true nature.
But , the essence of it is that very malicious, sinister people actually have hard time finding pleasure in regular ,expected,"normal " ways.It seems for more serious evil -doers , they are so twisted that the only way to find enjoyment is in destroying.
Seeing others suffer and their lives destroyed is what actually makes them happy. Many are taking it out on others for what some perpetrator did it to them long ago when they were children. Therefore they think they have earned the right to do.it to others '-" as they have suffered greatly, too."
That is the essence of evil in people.
They want others to suffer.
It is known fact that certain kind of murderers don't stop at just crime on one victim. Some like to taunt families of their victims, too.
Some cannot stop themselves from visibly enjoying solely memories of their crimes. Even during the trial.

LD: We always get notified ... pray for Jayapataka, Balavanta and all these GBC people. Does anyone ever pray for all the other sick and dying Prabhupada devotees? Or the school children ... who are also gone with the winds? Does anyone even know where they are now?
ReplyDeleteAnd no one even knows if they are sick and dying?
This seems like asking people to pray for criminals who burnt down our house. Why are we always praying for the people who caused all this suffering? Why shouldn't we pray for the people they made suffer instead?
Just saying!
