[PADA: Another "senior devotee" leaves us all behind here. We are a rapidly dwindling species. I am not sure what was the official cause of his departure, evidently he went to the hospital as "unresponsive" and came back to consciousness briefly before leaving. Sura has suffered from different ailments for some years now, and he told me a long time ago he is on borrowed time.
Sura also told me -- yep, these GBC's gurus are bogus as three dollar bills; yep they are ruining the good name of Srila Prabhupada -- and ISKCON -- making the general public disgusted; yep they are changing the books -- which is really bad for the legacy of Srila Prabhupada; yep lots of children have been molested by their program; and -- yep -- you are basically right about all your complaints.
However, if I join your team then my wife will make me sleep on the couch, she will reject me because she is initiated by a GBC guru. Then I will also lose my temple apartment, salary and everything else. So, if you can pay me what they are paying me, I will join you! OK, hee hee, well I am not a millionaire, sorry!
Of course, if I had to pay someone to be loyal to our cause, I would not pay him anyway. I don't want money and material asset motivated helpers. And if I did pay someone, I'd hire an off duty police man to be my body guard, hee hee!
So I think his heart was with us, but he could not break away from the mundane asset "money pay masters" from the GBC, like a good number of other devotees. Very sad. We said we wanted to be free of mundane influenced contaminated religions, with bogus figurehead leaders and false gurus, and then we became one of those bogus guru religions ourselves. In spades.
Sura was always friendly with me and he was basically on our side, but he was unable to let go of the false regime's grip. Anyway, now he is free of their grip. He no longer needs anything they have to offer. That has to be a good thing right out of the gate! Anyway Sura Dasa, good luck and God speed! Let your soul be free, that is my hope for you. ys pd
