Feedback on Kadamba Kanana Lecture 11/22

PP Dasi: Very discouraged by Kadamba Kanana swami's reply to all this. He seems to think that children being starved, repeatedly beaten and even having anal surgery ... going on for decades ... is some sort of "accidental fall down problem." He is trying to make their crimes against Vaishnava children look minimized ... which only helps the criminals and not the victims. This abuse was going on since the late 1970s onwards ... and it is foolish ... and totally dishonest ... to say it is a temporary fall down.

He never really mentions how badly they treated their children ... because that would be an admission he is a criminal lawyer for criminal child abuse gangsters. His guru is Jayadvaita ... a good friend of BVP. I feel bad he is dying ... that means he only has a short time to rectify his position and admit the truth.

I am NOT EVEN surprised they removed his video ... he looks like the lawyer for a serial rapist ... and he seems to be embarrassed and squirming to be left holding the bag for all this.

BJ: Unfortunately, next GBC...chairman in February 2024 is Revathi Raman das JPS@ iskcon Tirupathi president. BJP government sponsoring black money to him to buy all the Mayapur sanyasis for voting him. First Indian body GBC chairman in second generation. Second indian chairman after Bhakti Charu swami. First Householder (Puppet under his wife). He is Brother in law of BJP MP of south india. Now GBC will go in hands of Indian Politicians and go to Hell.

AD: Most people do not realize how much black money, dark money laundering, property MAFIA ... and connections to criminals and politicians is going on in ISKCON. That is one reason people don't speak out, they are a big MAFIA connected criminal program and they create fear.

DASI: There is an ocean of difference that separates the sexual, physical and emotional abuse of so many Vaishnava children from a mere 'fall-down'. The first constitutes multiple criminal acts and Vaishnava aparada of the highest order, that have far reaching repercussions in the (spiritual) lives of all those affected. The second, is an infinitely less severe transgression!

The consequences are very different and the process prescribed to remedy them is also vastly different. Child abuse quite simply destroys a person's life and leaves a trail of pain, trauma and devastation behind which often haunts the victims for the rest of their lives! This trauma is then passed on throughout the generations, and it is very difficult to heal and overcome. Not to mention that often it quite simply destroys an individuals' faith at its very core!

Few things can destroy the budding creeper of Bhakti like the abuse of Vaishnava children by those who were meant to protect them. Repeatedly acting in such a was so as to destroy the faith of others cannot be honestly described as an accidental fall down!

Lord Narayana Himself told Dhurvasa Muni in no uncertain terms that there was nothing He could do to help him, his only hope was to humble himself at the lotus feet of Ambarish Maharaj and beg for this forgiveness! I'll point out here that the offense committed by Dhurvasa Muni was verbal, whereas the offenses perpetrated by BVP are far more extreme in nature.

In the Shastras, the child abusers are all demons! Hiranyakashipu, Kamsa, Putana etc... It is mind boggling and preposterous that you are misusing Shastra to try and portray them as saintly people!

Kadamba Kanana swami is shameless to try to cover over these crimes against children.

T DASI: Hare Krishna. Thanks to all of those who make important information on the history of ISKCON available to a wide audience. Truthfulness is the only leg of dharma that is left and can save us from illusion! I'm wondering if it could be possible to survey (anonymously) a large number of ex gurukulis and second-generation devotees with questions about what they felt were right and wrong, dangerous and painful, helpful and inspiring during their childhood and education in KC families or schools / gurukulas.

And to make a statistic of how many of them are devotees active in the movement, devotees but not active, practicing some other spiritual path, or not practicing spirituality at all (and how many committed suicide). And how many are emotionally unstable, have difficulties in the family or social life, and how many feel they have a satisfying life overall or feel spiritual empowerment and inspiration?

Such realistic analyses would give us a clear picture of what was (and still is) wrong in our practice of KC philosophy as a community. Because, what is the use of preaching if the cases of our own children and successors of this movement show so many flaws in practicing spiritual process, and what to speak of gross and brutal torture and abuse that many of them received from their own caretakers and so-called spiritual leaders? We all need to know the truth, however ugly it may be if we want to make any improvement and change of perspective.

I suppose that the leaders of this movement would avoid this kind of analysis at any cost, according to their denial and cover-up practices for all these years, unfortunately... If there is anyone who could do that, it would be a great service for the community and maybe even a possibility for many of those who suffered from abuse as children to experience a sort of healing by safely expressing their emotions and reflections publicly.

PADA: The followers of Jayapataka wrote me a nasty note that my helping with lawsuits cost ISKCON $100,000,000. OK but why have ISKCON children complained there has not been enough food, clothes, blankets, medicines, and proper teachers, if there is $100,000,000 on hand going to other projects, like buying new Mercedes for lawyers. Is the priority to care for children, or to buy new Mercedes for lawyers.

Did I forget to mention, their lawyers here are mostly meat eaters. Why is taking care of these lawyers a higher priority than the children in their care. The amazing thing is, the Jayapataka people themselves told me they have been spending $100,000,000 on legal fees. I did not even know how bad it was myself. The good news is, when their lawyer's car ashtray is full, they can just buy another new car. ys pd

RS: Under the tutelage BVPS we had to buy all of the bhoga for the gurukula from Nitai Chand's cousin in Navadvip at elevated prices and poor quality. The school was given 1 litre of milk for approx 120 boys. That litre was only to offer our Deities. All the while Nitai Chand, his cronies, the monkeys and elephants got milk daily.

KD: Thats not a proper Mercedes. Thats a Maybach - way more expensive. If they actually spend $100MM on lawyers and $350MM on the useless building, that would equal wasting almost a half a billion dollars. Not to speak of the expensive Bangalore lawsuit. Every Prabhupada disciple living in a van could live in a decent apartment.

Every kid who went to gurukula could have gotten a free college education. They just blew all of the money on themselves and their fantasies. I've never seen such mismanagement in my life. They all should be fired.

DD: Here is what I really think is appropriate: All the ISKCON Gurus who have given legitimacy to BVP by being with him on programs and festivals, eating with him, not speaking up against his misbehaviour should address their disciples and ISKCON devotees as follows:

"My dear devotees, first and foremost I want to apologize for my own behaviour that enabled this decades long child abuse. Although the information about this grievances regarding child abuse (by and) under BVP leadership are well documented by ISKCONS CPO as early as 1998, I ignored and disregarded (or worse consciously covered up) this information and thus failed the responsibility my position holds and the trust devotees put in me.

"In this way I became part of this system that enables child abuse. Today I stand up and take my share of responsibility for this misbehaviour. My sole priority is justice, righteousness and support for the victims of this abuse, the Vaishnava children we and I failed.

After all this years of covering up, twisting the philosophy and wrong priorities I stand up today and say: We did so many of our Vaishnava children very wrong and I will do anything in my power to make that right, to bring justice and maybe most important make sure that this never happens again. Amongst other measures by clearly calling out the responsible persons, whoever they may be."

In my opinion this would be a first step towards sanity. As much as it saddens my heart to say this, I see the opposite reaction of many Gurus.

  1. PADA: Therapy for the perps? There needs to be first of all, therapy and compensation for the victims and the advocates for the victims. Punishment, public scorn, shame, ostracism, very heavy hand, that is how they treated victims and us advocates for victims. Victim's welfare should be at the front lines of concern, since some of them are taking their lives, and in any case their lives are disordered from all the trauma. When one female victim spoke up at a temple recently, she was banned immediately and they threatened to call the cops. That is not how to treat victims, that just re-traumatizes them. ys pd

  2. M Dasi: Oh crap. This is really starting to look like another holocaust. Except ... it was mainly a holocaust for ISKCON children. The adults who could pick themselves and run away from the dumpster fire ... did so. They took care of number one ... me.

That left the kids at the tender mercies of the evil clown horror movie. The picture of what happened here is getting more clear as victims come out. And the picture is not looking good. Neither the leaders did the right thing ... nor did the adults.

This is so sad. Almost no one did the defense of their own kids. And the few who did defend .. got punished. Or killed. Wow! I understand why the victims are not speaking up for so long ... they did not get any support. You are on your own bud ... when you are five?

I think you are right ... a horror movie ... it is like when they come to the old abandoned farm ... and start to discover the bodies ... everywhere ... Lord have mercy ...
