Letter from GBC Clone Antardwip / Amazon Books Reviews

From: Antardwip das <antardwip.mtv@gmail.com>

Amar Puri writes:WHERE IS SUCH QUOTE WHEN YOU SAY ; "Srila Prabhupada said that if someone reads even one line of his books, they will be benefited, and there are thousands of original lines by Srila Prabhupada remaining in the edited BBT Bhagavad Gita As It Is."

Here is that quote - if you did a simple Google search you would have found it.

"My Guru Mahārāja, when he was selecting articles to be published in The Harmonist, if he sees simply that there is, several times the writer has written 'Kṛṣṇa,' 'Lord Caitanya,' like that, he passes immediately: 'All right. It's all right. It is all right.' That so many times he has uttered 'Kṛṣṇa' and 'Caitanya,' so it is all right. So similarly, even if we present our Back to Godhead or any other literature in broken languages, it does not matter because the glorification of the Lord is there. That is recommended by Nārada. Tad-vāg-visargo janatāgha-viplavaḥ. Janatā agha. Agha means sinful activities. If one reads one line of this literature, although it is presented in broken language, but if he simply hears there is Kṛṣṇa, then his sinful activities immediately vanquish."
(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, New Vrindaban, June 6, 1969)

This overturns the notion that discouraging people from reading BBT books on Amazon because of edits acceptable. BBT books contain thousands of Srila Prabhupada's original lines as well as edited lines which do not change the meaning at all, or if they do, they are closer to the original tape-recordings. And if some mistakes have been made, read the above. Guru, sadhu and sastra are all mentioned in that quote, dispute it at your peril.

That you would rush into advocating devotees in this group slander ISKCON on Amazon, and, without research, reject a quote by Srila Prabhupada which contradicts such action, shows you are driven by hatred of devotees, not respect for Srila Prabhupada's Vani.

Srila Prabhupada had a Bengali quote for people like you - "Oto bhakti, chora lokon" - too much bhakti indicates a thief. You make a big show of Srila Prabhupada's vani, putting it in capitals, repeating it. Yet when Srila Prabhupada's words fail to support your envy of ISKCON, BBT and ISKCON devotees, you don't want to know.

Please remove yourself and your associates from this gentle group and share your spiritual sickness and the consequences of it with like-minded individuals elsewhere.

[PADA: OK so Jayadvaita swami -- the person who says Lord Krishna's successor gurus are often falling into "illicit sex with men, women and possibly children" (and maybe goats?) -- is the person we need to accept as an editor? As one devotee wrote to me recently, anyone who says God's successors are deviants is trying to destroy people's faith in God. Moreover if God's shaksat hari tvena successors are deviants, that makes God a deviant. Why would anyone want to establish that notion, unless they are demons who oppose God and want to ridicule Him and His successors?

Where does Srila Prabhupada say that we should find someone who says acharyas are often debauchees, and make him the editor of the books of the acharyas? And why doesn't Antardwip know that its wrong to say that acharyas are often full of deviations? Yes, people should write complaints on Amazon reviews against the GBC books. Good idea! ys pd]
