India Heatwave PADA: India is experiencing a heat wave, in some places 118C. And this is only May, so it is expected to get worse. During this heat asphalt can reach 70–80°C (158–176°F), and it will not cool down a whole lot at night, so the cities are more vulnerable to sustained heat at night, with all their asphalt roads.As one expert said "we are close to reaching the limits of humanly survivable environments." Meanwhile the MAGA people are saying "climate change is a hoax." Ummm, nope it is not.
Kali yuga will have extreme weather and that is the Vedic prediction, and it cannot be changed by claiming it is a hoax. Many people believe this is connected to burning fossil fuels, and that is probably correct IMHO. Delhi already has a terrible smog problem, add heat to that -- and thus one resident said "it is like hell on earth." Well yup.

For many first-generation Indian immigrants in the West, attending an ISKCON temple has less to do with taking formal initiation from a Western guru and more to do with cultural preservation and networking with other Hindus.
Sunday feasts in the US and Europe provide an ideal environment to meet other professionals, talk about jobs, real estate, and navigate life in a foreign country.
Immigrants utilize the temples as a safe space to pass on basic traditional Indian heritage and languages to their Western-born children.
Western ISKCON temples are often packed on Sundays with thousands of diaspora members who donate generously, keeping the temples financially alive. However, very few of these attendees adopt chanting 16 rounds or following the four regulative principles that Prabhupada originally demanded to be spiritually strong.
The Indian congregation stepped in, effectively saving the Western temples from bankruptcy. As a result, the remaining Western leaders often adapted their preaching to cater to the cultural expectations of their wealthy donors, rather than strictly trying to convert the native Western population. And so the Western participants dried up, and are rarely seen at most ISKCON temples.

1. Hidden Glories has been distributed for free around the world for years. ISKCON Bangalore ships all over India. Jaya Jaganath in Florida ships all over the USA. Previously Mandapa paid for cases to be sent to other parts of the world: Europe, Australia, Mauritius, Singapore, NZ, Africa, etc. Please advise if you know anyone or anywhere that we can send books to now, as we still have a good stock available.

I started on Alex prabhu's 63 Guru Myths book but shifted to completing the last part of the Hidden Glories material, namely Vol. 10, about defective guru doctrines. It is already written and just needs editing and layout. It should be done in a few months, and then back to the myths and fallacies book (which meticulously destroys all of ISKCON's guru philosophy).
I aim to complete Vol. 10 and 11 before end of this year.
Please help in any way you can to distribute these facts and truths far and wide, as this is our tradition, to preach truth and defeat cheating and illusion.

HIINDU-IZED ISKCON
PADA: Why has ISKCON gone Hindu-ized? It is all about the money! They need to feed their guru daksine accounts.
IN WESTERN COUNTRIES (THE US, UK, CANADA, AND EUROPE), the vast MAJORITY of TEMPLE CONGREGATIONS are no longer WESTERN DEVOTEES,
but rather Indian diaspora families seeking a cultural and spiritual connection to their homeland.
Because converting the native Western population came to a halt after the guru scandals of the 1980s and 1990s, the GBC adapted to survive by serving the traditional Hindu community, both within India and abroad.
For many first-generation Indian immigrants in the West, attending an ISKCON temple has less to do with taking formal initiation from a Western guru and more to do with cultural preservation and networking with other Hindus.

A lot of them are not even sure if Krishna, Siva, Durga or Ganesh are the Supreme Being or not. A lot of them also have adopted the Western meat eating diet, which is why almost all of their restaurants serve meat products. In fact it is rare to find a Vegetarian India restaurant anywhere in the USA. So the GBC is almost completely not even trying to make sincere following Western bhaktas anymore, but rather attracting cash donating Hindu sentimentalists.
After Western recruitment collapsed with all those living guru scandals, the GBC was left with massive, expensive buildings and almost no resident Western devotees left to pay the bills. Even Lokanath swami was shocked to find how badly empty the Western temples were in 1988.
The Indian congregation stepped in, effectively saving the Western temples from bankruptcy. As a result, the remaining Western leaders often adapted their preaching to cater to the cultural expectations of their wealthy donors, rather than strictly trying to convert the native Western population. And so the Western participants dried up, and are rarely seen at most ISKCON temples.
When settling into a highly secular Western environment, a local ISKCON temple serves as a ready-made piece of "home" that makes the stressful migration process feel psychologically safe. The Reality: Instead of converting Westerners, many diaspora members sought out the Western temples as a shield against the West — a safe space to retain their identity while they pursued the "American Dream."
Prabhupada openly lamented that instead of giving spiritual knowledge to the West, many Indians simply adopted Western consumerism. And unfortunately, Western meat eating diets and materialistic consumer based lifestyles.
This creates the ultimate irony within modern ISKCON. The very money that keeps Western temples open today is generated by the "economic struggle" that Prabhupada labeled as a foolish waste of time.
Prabhupada also said -- the pigs who are behind the fence sometimes jump over to get into the garbage patch. And the Hindus are jumping over the fence from India -- coming to America -- to find better sources of garbage. So he was not in favor of catering to this process, which he sees as deteriorating the Indian culture.
In sum, seeking a better source of garbage is not seeking Krishna consciousness, and he would not have wanted his temples to become part of this deteriorating program. But the GBC has forced themselves into a compromise with the Hindus, by making ISKCON un-inhabitable for the Western people who reject hokey and falling down guru systems.
