Funders for Guru das and Narada (gofundme)

PADA: OK so the Jayapataka people wrote to complain that PADA has assisted lawsuits that have cost the GBC $100,000,000. But when various peon ISKCON citizens get sick, or die, they have to beg a few thousand dollars for their health care or burial expenses. For example, one devotee's body was sitting for a long time in the morgue because there were no funds for his cremation, and so on.

Yet, if Radhanath comes to Alachua, and he is one of the primary people who caused the lawsuits and bad media causing the ISKCON society to go bankrupt and lose $100,000,000, he is welcomed. And people bring out their babies for him to bless with his darshan. OK that means the problem is not being solved. The persons who siphoned off all the assets for a few elite gurus are the persons who created this financial inequality situation. They should not be worshiped, they should be sued for fraud and defrauding the peons.

Someone sent me the financials of ISKCON in UK, and a huge amount is allocated to salaries, bet those people do not have to beg when they are sick or dying.

Hare Krsna,

My name is *****, and I'm wondering if you can help me. I recently came across your blog post from Dec. 5, 2021 regarding Mahavegavati Devi Dasi's testimony on the death of Mother Hladini. I first met Mahavegavati Devi Dasi when I was a Mormon missionary in 2015 in Alachua, Florida.

I know she has since returned to Buffalo and I was in contact with her for a while, but then I was never able to get her on the phone again. I know her psychological and physical health had greatly deteriorated and I assume she has since passed.

Can you please give me any information relating to her? Your blog post indicated that she may have ended up in a elderly care facility buffalo. Did she pass there? If so, do you know when she passed? I have been unable to find an obituary. Any information you can provide me will be very helpful. She was my good friend, and I want to know what happened to her so I can be at peace.

Thank you for your time. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

PADA: Yep, another uncared for peon.

Dear Devotees,

Our dear Narada Muni dasa and Vedamata dasi are facing major struggles in their lives at this time. They are both Prabhupada disciples. Narada Muni was initiated in 1969 and became one of the top book distributors in the movement! He traveled with Visnujnana Swami's road show as the Promotion and Booking Agent. He raised considerable funds for the building of New Vrindavan's Palace of Gold and was a long time Director of the Life Membership Program.

Vedamata, his wife, was initiated in 1975. She has been a life-long book distributor and could be seen distributing books at parking lots, airports, events . . . and always with an enthusiastic attitude and smile.

They are both facing serious health challenges. Narada Muni had a triple fusion back surgery. He was sent to rehab to recover and a serious back infection ensued due to neglect.

He had to return to the hospital as the infection caused severe complications. This has completely altered his prognosis. We are all quite concerned about his situation as he has not responded to antibiotics the way we had hoped. It looks like a long road to recovery. Vedamata has been battling cancer for many years which has weakened her considerably.

Please help these exemplary devotees who have served so many. Now it is our turn to serve them. Srila Prabhupada set the example by personally caring for devotees who were ill. Please, your prayers and whatever you can donate is greatly appreciated.

Gratefully, Sukhada Dasi

UPDATE

Hello Everyone,

Narada has been released from ICU and is now home under hospice care. Narada Muni has a serious infection that is partially septic. He got the infection at a rehabilitation center after back surgery eight months ago and has never recovered.

The doctors have tried every antibiotic they have. In fact, they have given him the heaviest hi-tech antibiotic they have and it hasn't touched the infection. Now in addition to the infection he has other complications, including to not fully recovering from intubation and pneumonia. The doctors feel that his body is broken.

When the doctors sent him home they said he had days, not weeks. At the moment Narada is peaceful and being seen daily by hospice nurses. As we know, the dying process is complex and it's unknown how things will progress. Now's the time to show your support, Veda and Narada need your help.

Your contribution will help cover current costs of health care as well as the cremation and end of life needs. Devotees are welcome to come read or do kirtan for Narada, but check with Veda about timing because there are many professionals coming and going right now.

In general however, you can come between 9am and 8pm for now. If this changes we'll let you know. Thank you sincerely for your love and support.

In service,
Pranada dasi

Many thanks to Puranjana Prabhu for posting this important fundraiser on his website. - Patita Pavana das, San Francisco

We love you Uncle Lenny. We are praying for you for a speedy recovery. Sending love and hugs from Michele, Joe, Elysa, Faith and Darrian
