That means, not listening to us -- one or two crank cases -- forced the issue out into the mass of public where it is no longer "one lone wolf PADA fool barking at the moon and talking about it." Now millions and millions of people know about it, and worse, they know some of us who protested -- like Sulochana -- were murdered by ISKCON goons.

Foolishness of a high order when they are riddled with scandals, particularly child abuse of all stripes! This cult has taken much from the colonial Christian converters of the eighteenth and nineteenth century in its tactical approach to mass religious sanctimony. I will say their temples are clean and peaceful, but woe betide any intelligent conversation with these prabhus!!!!
Prabhupada was no match for the above mentioned or Devraha Baba or Neem Karoli Baba which is why he avoided them like the plague and wrote all Yogis off as Babajis. While he can be seen as an inspirational figure his highly repetitive interpretation of Scripture belongs to the class of sectarian pundit rather than illumined sage. The state of mind of his rabid cultic followers illustrated the validity of this point.
PADA: OK so when we said mass child abuse is a MAJOR problem, almost all the devotees said: -- so what, who cares, you are a nobody; a personna non grata; get out of ISKCON; you are an offender; leave us alone; you are the lone wolf barking at the moon etc. They forgot that a mass child abuse problem left unattended will eventually explode into the public arena and create big scandals. As it has.
We can only cover these things up for so long, and then it becomes a large scale publicly known problem. An odious looking scandal. Just look at the whole Epstein thing, all sorts of big wig people knew there was a problem, but no one did much of anything, instead -- efforts of cover up were made, and now it is all over the media. The cover up looks just as bad as the original crimes.
Of course, there are complaints it is still being covering up and we are not getting to the root issues. Bottom line, cover up of child abuse often ends up badly, for the victims and for the cover ups. And it makes the organization look bad.

Yes, we are gurus, and yes, that means we are "riddled with scandals particularly child abuse of all stripes." That is EXACTLY what we warned about originally. We have to contain this problem, or it will explode into the public arena -- never mind many children will suffer exploiting, become victims, and live a distressed life of trauma, psychological problems, drug abuse, potentially suicide and etc.
Silencing us simply caused the problem to get exponentially worse, and then leak out in other formats. And now it looks more and more -- to the public -- like "rabid cultic followers" than a bona fide religion, which is what we said would happen. I take no joy in this, because we all have to now suffer getting a bad public image, but -- I told ya!

DESIRE FOR PRESTIGE
Achyutananda: One time Prabhupada and I visited Lalita Prasada, Bhaktisiddhanta's brother, who looked exactly like their father, Bhaktivinode Thakura. In his house I saw some of the hand written books written by Bhaktivinode Thakur. At that time Prabhupada was living in Bhaktivinode Thakura's birthplace in Birnagar. Prabhupada said, "We will take care of you. We will develop this place. It will be an international center."
Lalita Prasada said, "Yes, but I must be guru. You must step down and I must be acharya."
Prabhupada said, "Okay", and we left.
Prabhupada then looked at me and said, "I didn't believe it, that even after giving up lust, desire for prestige lingers on even to the end."
When I asked him, "What broke up the Gaudiya Matha?" Prabhupada said, "They were always worried who was going to give initiation. They couldn't wait a few years until a guru manifested?" He said, "My Godbrothers were fighting over material properties and money."

PADA: Oh no, another GBC guy from India complains that I am "giving ISKCON a bad name."
My reply:
Dear Prabhu, When I told Jayapataka there is a mass child mistreatment program in 1979, he told me to take all of this to court. So we had them sued for $3,000,000 then later on sued for $400,000,000 for that issue, because the GBC wanted a public court process. They wanted all of this in the public courts and news.

Are you saying we should have allowed more children to become victims and not taken any action? They told me they wanted all this dirt in the media and courts. Sivarama swami met with us? No, he supported the illicit affairs with men, women and children guru program and helped have us removed.
They also sent enforcers here to take out my associate, and put him in an early grave, which they did, when he was complaining about the mass child mistreatment. And they would have taken me out and put me into the graveyard, except the FEDS arrested the three people then sent here from New Vrndavana to remove me from my body.

So I was interviewed a number of times in the media over -- why ISKCON guru process wanted me in the early graveyard and not alive anymore? It was a scandal they wanted to make, not us? And I always have to explain in the media, they wanted to take me out because I complained about the mass child mistreatment.

And yes, anyone who makes illicit affairs with men, women and children into Krishna's successors had better be challenged, because if we do not, we are implicated in acquiescing, and Chanakya Pandit says those who cover up crimes are equal as the criminals.

You guys always tell me I should remain silent on the mass child mistreatment process, that is aiding and abetting the crime. It is amazing I am always advised by GBC guys to sit back and do nothing when children are victims. Of course just telling children to worship people who are engaged in illicit affairs is a crime against children in itself. Sivarama does not know that. ys pd
