Who is Purujit Dasa and his BLISS, and why it is important to talk about it.

Purujit Dasa is the founder of the London-based BLISS movement (Bhaktivedanta Lives in Sound Society), which is advertised as being faithful to the original teachings of Srila Prabhupada. Started in 2008 by Kapindra Swami Maharaj, and yet known for arrogance, authoritarianism and self-proclamation of a sort of Guru status.

Purujit has published a “rigged” and "re-edited" and illegitimate version of the Bhagavad-gītā, replacing the 1972 edition that Srila Prabhupada himself approved and authorized. His arguments are ridiculously similar to that of Jayadvaita Swami, another notorious manipulator of lyrics. Purujit, without any official mandate, has self-elevated himself to “editor” and “keeper” of purity, severely offending the intelligence and faith of Hare Krishna.
His texts, devoid of copyright and legitimacy, destroys the coherence and sanctity of the original teachings, causing irreparable damage.

He collected donations from people believing it was an authorized project, deliberately misleading devotees who then openly denounced this spiritual scam.
Pornography: an indelible and disgusting stain.
Former members of his centre in Spain testified that they caught him several times watching explicit pornographic material, behaving like a predator disguised as a sannyasi. In the face of accusations, Purujit didn't have the courage to face the truth: he fled to Canada, leaving his followers in chaos and despair. His collaborator Makhancora even justified this obscene behaviour, stating cynically that he will continue to follow him “even if Purujit contradicts Prabhupada”. This is the indelible mark of a cult of deceivers without conscience.
Tyrannical authoritarianism.
Purujit demands blind obedience, imposes his authority in a dictatorial manner, intimidating, bullying and shoving away anyone who dares to ask him legitimate questions or disagree.
Project BLISS complete failure
The group in Spain is frankly implicated. Devotees from Mexico, Canada and Europe have abandoned this scam, many isolating as former members. Even the Spain “Tattoo guy” who hosted him quietly disassociated, visibly embarrassed, after being his main attack dog for a long time. He finally realized he was defending a fraud.

Purujit wears sannyasi’s saffron dress, but it’s just a mask to hide his shameful actions: pornography, textual revisionism, self-proclamations by guru. It’s a grotesque and offensive caricature of everything sacred in Vaisnavism.
Dangerous ties
BLISS has repeatedly been associated with HKC Jaipur, known for indirectly supporting criminals, spreading Hitler-glorifying content and not protecting vulnerable children and devotees.
PADA: Yeah, the HKC Jaipur folks told me that our saving children from being beaten and raped means PADA "has no credibility." Everyone else is saying WTF is wrong with these odious clowns, we should allow children to be abused to save the GBC's guru program? No wonder the HKC Jaipur / Mathura Pati are promoting Radhanath's cheer leaders, the same party who killed Sulochana; and Bhavananda's writer Hari Sauri. These folks are CREDIBLE -- where?
Then the HKC joined with Narayan Visvakarma to declare the pedo molesting cult is "the Golden Body of ISKCON." In other words, they started to promote Radhanath's cheer leaders and Bhavananda's writer because they are still defending the molester "Golden Body" of the messiah's project. Then Mathura Pati is hanging out with Purujit, after working with a serial woman abuser like NNV, who was beating women and forcing them to have sex (aka rape).
These people should not considered to be advanced, or as the authorities in a religious society. But yeah, Purujit is a book changer and none of the sincere readers of PADA agree he is authorized to re-edit the books.
He trains his people to call me "an old fart" -- but even the karmis don't talk to me that rude way because they do not behave like animals. Purujit is in short, self promoting himself, which would be good -- if he was authorized, but he is not. As for the porno complaint, that means he should not dress in orange, just be honest. There is just a lot of misdirection and cheating going on with this guy, and that means he should not be seen as bona fide.
But I knew something was wrong when he came all the way to Berkeley and he kept putting off meeting me, and then he left. He avoided meeting me -- for a reason.
Conclusion without appeal:
Purujit Dasa and his followers embody, according to Srīla Prabhupada, a total, dangerous and useless deviation. Labeling the Bhagavad-gītā As It Is 1972 as “useless” or “Māyāvāda-tinged" is a sacrilege that puts oneself above the master. Srila Prabhupāda clearly warned: Whoever contradicts the Guru is a demon, whoever distorts his words is a traitor to spiritual service.
Krishna has already pronounced His irrevocable judgment: a trail of failure, betrayal, division, and total absence of divine blessing. As PADA emphasizes, Purujit represents the umpteenth manifestation of “Deadly Acharya Disease”, the deadly disease of self-proclamation that corrupts and destroys true spiritual guidance.
A true teacher is recognized by transparency, integrity, coherence and humility, not by boastful proclamations, manipulated videos or empty saffron poses.
It is urgent and necessary to defend the authentic mission of Srila Prabhupada. With love, but with the firm determination of those who know the truth.

RMD: It is the reform that is not a reform. Dangerous, as it fools innocent people into believing ... it is a reform. That poor Tattoo guy in Spain put all his faith in these BLISS people, and then realized ... he simply joined another GBC type person cult. A person cult and not a reform.
ReplyDeleteVERY strange ... BLISS says Jayadvaita's changes are not so bad. That means they are still connected to ... the GBC. Any changes are bad. When his people find out their BLISS Gita is another word chopping job ... they just get angry knowing they were cheated.
This is not the original 1972. False advertising!
The 1972 Gita was used all the time by Prabhupada and he never said it should be butchered up in future. Not by Jayadvaita or anyone else. He said do not change one comma, without his approval. He has not approved anything.
They are making pretend Prabhupada wanted another Gita, when there is no evidence he does. Just like they say Prabhupada wanted 11 gurus, Prabhupada wanted Jayadvaita editing, Prabhupada wanted this and that. But there is no proof ... he EVER authorized any of this.
And if he was caught watching porno, he should not dress in orange. That is also a copy of the GBC bad behavior. And cheating. If he wants to watch porno ... go ahead ... but do not advertise as some sort of renounced monk.
That is just plain cheating. Just preach to your level. Overstepping one's level is the entire mistake being made by ISKCON GBC. We have to do better. He did not meet PADA in Berkeley? And! We know why, he has plenty to hide ... and he can only hide from naive and ignorant. He cannot allow intelligent questions, he is another GBC man.
It is too bad. The GBC sold us a bad product and then these false reformers swoop in to take over the left overs remnants, with another cheating. It is making things worse all around.
