ISKCON Ghana's New "Spiritual Master"

PADA: OK wait! First of all they said -- the guru is appointed, by the previous guru. And 11 were allegedly appointed. Except, all of the 11 either got very sick, fell down, or both, or died prematurely.

Then the guru was allegedly "empowered" by the ISKCON GBC. Fine except normally, Krishna "empowers" the guru and not the GBC. So they removed "Krishna shakti" and replaced that with "GBC Shakti."

Then they said the guru is "2/3 show of hands voted in" by the GBC. And there has been a number of other explanations.

NOW! Holy mother of Zeus! We have people being simply "elevated to the position" of guru. Elevated by whom? What? Where? When? How? Hee hee.

And he is supposedly a followers of "African Prince" Bhakti Tirtha swami, Krishna's padas no less. Wait! BTS got melanoma and his disciples were saying he was suffering for taking their sins. Probably! So this guy is going going to do the same thing? Really? OK, you did not learn the first time around.

I was elevated to the post of pure devotee, by the same folks who elevate illicit sex with men, women and children to the post of pure devotee? What! And he is a Grihastha, hence -- a Maharaja. OK I am going to have to take my percodan now.

  1. GKD: re ISKCON Ghana's New "Spiritual Master." All these gurus are rather a farce when it comes to set an example for ideal grhastha life in the Western hemisphere. Gurus who are grhasthas usually live at Hindu hotspots where the guru is able to live off the temple income. So how is this an example for the congregation of devotees? They have to struggle to pay constantly rising rents, maintain a family with everything complete, once a year go to Mayapur and pay all the fees there. That's the actual reason why all these devotee marriages break up. And the gurus who are supposed to do substantial preaching cannot recruit male devotees who qualify as grhasthas. On social media matajis complain that there are no male devotees who qualify as grhasthas, "there are only penniless ascetics from 3rd world countries". So the gurus who in vedic times were grhasthas like Sandipani Muni are now mainly sannyasis. As sannyasis they are able to cash up and quite some have managed to be millionaires. Strange but true new bhaktas often select a guru according to his material wealth. Materially poor gurus are neglected. Actually, many sannyasa gurus have adopted the danda simply to have a jetset lifestyle and actually do not qualify as sannyasis.

[PADA: It looks like they are going to less and less standards for their acharyas. No one else wants to sign up? This is getting to be more and more of a farce every day. Bhakti Tirtha swami was a farce from the get go, "Krishnapada." Totally oblivious to the etiquette and standards. Anyway, it is falling apart, and this is the new level of new sign ups they can find -- evidently. ys pd]
