PADA: Yep prabhu, Madhu Pandit evidently just got a a free pass in the courts because the GBC just now admits their leaders are not submitting proper financials. All he has to do is show the proof the GBC have crooked financials -- is submit their own statement. We are crooks and we admit.
Of course what happened to all the multi-millions already siphoned off and lost by the GBC gurus since 1978? We should raise a counter claim, correct.
I mean for example after Hansadutta shot up downtown Berkeley here, including taking out giant car dealerships windows, then the temple ended up paying all his lawyers, legal bills, fees, court costs, fines and replacing the windows. A devotee told me that cost over half million dollars.
Why was this expenditure authorized by the GBC, and who is going to pay back the temple for all this loss? Is the GBC EVER going to pay it back? And that is one of thousands of illicit expenses they incurred. I do not see any of this ever being recorded properly, never mind not being paid back -- anywhere? Yeah show us your financials, about time!
Hee hee, yah. ys pd

However, if you want to operate under the ISKCON name, represent ISKCON and use its institutional identity, then you are participating in an organisation established by Srila Prabhupada, with a specific system of management.
ISKCON is Srila Prabhupada's institution. Its management is a responsibility entrusted to representatives, not ownership transferred to them.
Did Prabhupada ever issue a written instruction withdrawing the Direction of Management or stating that it was no longer to be implemented? No.
Did he have to make adjustments and reiterate his instructions because his disciples had failed to implement them? Yes.
I cannot reach that conclusion from the evidence. Can you?
November 1, 1977: On or around this date in history 49 years ago,
Think about how much absolute bullshit humanity has been conditioned to accept as normal. We have been taught to tolerate exploitation, corruption, manipulation, disrespect, abuse, and the slow destruction of our own freedom, health, and dignity. And somehow, we have been convinced that accepting all of this makes us mature, civilized, understanding, and evolved.
Governments take more of our money while ordinary people struggle to survive. Corporations profit from selling us products filled with poisonous chemicals, while the responsibility for protecting our health is pushed back onto us. People spend most of their lives working jobs they hate, barely earning enough to live, and are told to be grateful for the opportunity. We are expected to accept it, adjust to it, and keep functioning like obedient little machines.
We have become so obsessed with being tolerant that we have forgotten how to be intolerant of what destroys us. And that’s the real genius of this conditioning. You don’t need to physically enslave people when you can teach them to accept their own exploitation. You don’t need to silence everyone when you can convince them that speaking up is rude, selfish, aggressive, or inappropriate.
Every time we say “that’s just how things are,” every time we look the other way, every time we swallow our anger and convince ourselves something isn’t worth confronting, we help keep the very conditions we complain about alive.

ISKCON, the Direction of Management and Institutional Accountability
Anyone is free to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness, establish a temple, hold classes, attract followers, become a guru and initiate their own disciples. Nobody needs the GBC's permission to do any of these things. You can establish your own spiritual organisation, develop your own community and operate according to your own management structure.

However, if you want to operate under the ISKCON name, represent ISKCON and use its institutional identity, then you are participating in an organisation established by Srila Prabhupada, with a specific system of management.
So what is that system?
Srila Prabhupada provided a written document called the Direction of Management, outlining how his society was to be administered. This is an essential reference point for understanding the institutional structure he established. The GBC's responsibility is to oversee the society in accordance with the founder's instructions. It is not an independent authority with the freedom to replace the founder's management structure with something of its own making.
The GBC members are entrusted with executing Srila Prabhupada's will, not creating a new institutional structure according to their own preferences.
This raises a fundamental question: if the GBC itself departs from Srila Prabhupada's documented management instructions, on what basis does it claim to represent his institution?
This raises a fundamental question: if the GBC itself departs from Srila Prabhupada's documented management instructions, on what basis does it claim to represent his institution?
The same standard applies to everyone, including the GBC. You cannot demand that individual devotees represent the ISKCON brand faithfully while exempting the very people responsible for managing that brand from the founder's instructions. If the management structure has been changed, the question is whether those changes are authorised by Srila Prabhupada's instructions or represent a departure from them.
ISKCON is Srila Prabhupada's institution. Its management is a responsibility entrusted to representatives, not ownership transferred to them.
So let me ask a few questions.
Did Srila Prabhupada want the Direction of Management attached to each centre? Yes. Was he disappointed when this was not done? Yes. Did he subsequently write a letter emphasising the urgency of implementing his management directives? Yes.
Did Prabhupada ever issue a written instruction withdrawing the Direction of Management or stating that it was no longer to be implemented? No.
Did he have to make adjustments and reiterate his instructions because his disciples had failed to implement them? Yes.
So on what evidence do you conclude that Prabhupada did not want the Direction of Management implemented, or that he would not want it governing the society he established? Where is that instruction? How can you conclude that he intended a completely different management structure when his own written instructions point to the contrary?
I cannot reach that conclusion from the evidence. Can you?

BV PURI
Bhaktivaibhava Puri Maharaj (1913-2009), the Founder of Sri Chaitanya Chandra Ashram in Puri, visits his ailing godbrother, Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, at Krishna Balaram Mandir. He remembers,
I asked, “Maharaja, you have established eleven gurus. There is no harmony. This can be no harmony. Guru must be one. You have selected eleven gurus.” He said,
“I have not selected [eleven gurus]. I have appointed eleven ritviks.” I said, “Ritviks, as long as you survive, they are ritviks. After your demise they are gurus. And unless guru blesses a disciple to sit on the throne and continue this service, he cannot survive. He cannot sit then. He must go [fall] down. And that sure it is happening now.”
Then he [Prabhupada] said, “What shall I do now? What shall I do now? . . . I have done my duty. Now the rest depends upon the Lord. What can I do?” . . . Then he stopped discussion. So it was not under his control in the last moment.

NATALI RAW
WE ARE NOT F**KED BECAUSE THE WORLD IS EVIL. WE ARE F**KED BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO TOLERATE EVERYTHING.
WE ARE NOT F**KED BECAUSE THE WORLD IS EVIL. WE ARE F**KED BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN TRAINED TO TOLERATE EVERYTHING.
PADA: Yep, ten thousand times various devotees told me, we have tolerate all the banning, beating, molesting, lawsuits and murders because "I have to chant some japa now." Oh swell!
And this conditioning doesn’t stop with governments or corporations. It follows us straight into our homes, families, friendships, and relationships. We tolerate disrespect because we don’t want conflict. We tolerate betrayal because we have history with someone. We tolerate manipulation because we have been taught to understand everyone’s trauma while completely abandoning ourselves. We tolerate selfishness, dishonesty, emotional abuse, and people crossing our boundaries because saying NO has somehow become more offensive than the behavior we are refusing to accept.
There is a massive difference between accepting that something exists and agreeing to live under it. But somewhere along the way, humanity confused tolerance with virtue, obedience with peace, and silence with wisdom.
Not everything deserves understanding. Not everything deserves another chance. Not everything deserves our patience, acceptance, or cooperation.
Not everything deserves understanding. Not everything deserves another chance. Not everything deserves our patience, acceptance, or cooperation.
Some things deserve rejection. Some people deserve to lose access to us. Some systems deserve to be challenged rather than endlessly accommodated.
And maybe the most dangerous lie we have ever swallowed is that being a good human being means learning to tolerate more and more bullshit.
And maybe the most dangerous lie we have ever swallowed is that being a good human being means learning to tolerate more and more bullshit.
Look where that has gotten us.
We didn’t lose our freedom, dignity, and self-respect all at once. We surrendered them one small compromise at a time. And the moment we stop tolerating what is destroying us is the moment we begin taking our power back.

Śrīla Raghunātha Dāsa Gosvāmī, while admonishing the mind in Manaḥ-śikṣā, says:

[Even after subduing enemies such as lust, anger, and so forth, one must still be instructed on how to conquer the great enemy of duplicity. O wicked mind! Even while following the path of devotional practice, you consider yourself purified by bathing in the flowing urine of a donkey—the urine of abundant, conspicuous duplicity and crookedness. Yet, through this, you are burning yourself, and you are burning me, this insignificant living entity, as well. Just see—do not act in this way! Instead, immerse yourself in the ocean of nectar that is the divine love for the lotus feet of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Kṛṣṇa Yugala. By bathing in that ocean, make both yourself and me eternally happy.]
I derive great pleasure from bathing in the urine of the donkey of duplicity—a substance that is exceedingly foul-smelling, utterly undesirable, and most abominable, being the very embodiment of crookedness.
Why did Śrīla Gosvāmīpāda compare duplicity to donkey's urine? The reason is quite evident. A foolish donkey, even when provided with excellent objects of enjoyment loaded upon its back, is unable to enjoy them. Ultimately, all it receives is nothing but exhausting labour and punishment from its master.
Similarly, those who adopt duplicity and live by the external appearance of sādhus, while merely posing as devotees, display tremendous exertion in service with the desire to obtain money , women, and prestige from Hari, Guru, and the Vaiṣṇavas. Yet, in the end, they are simply deprived by Bhagavān Himself. Despite receiving all these Material facilities from Hari and Guru, such enjoyments ultimately become causes of terrible suffering, for:

ye hi saṁsparśajā bhogā duḥkha-yonaya eva te
“Indeed, the pleasures born of contact with the senses are verily sources of suffering.”
I, too, have been deceived in this very manner. Instead of receiving mercy that genuinely nourishes the soul, I have received only deceptive mercy. Just as a donkey remains perpetually deceived, I, too, have been turned into a donkey by māyā. By granting me the very things I falsely desired, she has diverted me away from the realm of service.
I accepted donkey-like personalities as my ideals. Consequently, I am now compelled to bathe in the urine of the donkey of duplicity and thereby burn my very existence.
Śrī Ācāryapādapadma continually inspired me to bathe eternally in the nectarean ocean of the congregational chanting of Kṛṣṇa's holy names. Yet I chose instead the stream of urine in the form of duplicity, which is even more dreadful than the river Vaitaraṇī [ that flows in Hellish planet].
Even the thought of how I might destroy this duplicity fills me with fear. Whenever I attempt to abandon my deceitful conduct, my other deceitful companions lead me back into this urine-filled stream.
