[PADA: Good idea. Some devotees previously reported potential trouble with various dacoits on the regular travel route, plus the regular route is a lot of hassle and trouble for the older devotees -- or those in bad health.
A question we get sometimes, "Are we encouraging devotees to boycott the Vrndavana and Mayapur holy dhams due to the heavy handed control of these places by the GBC's goonda process"? Not really, no.
Rather our Prabhupadanugas should go to these places and make their presence there, why not? The good news is, we have exposed these GBC's goondas so badly, they are actually worried about getting into MORE trouble by making ANOTHER highly publicized goonda-ism attack, so they are back pedalling on their gangster style program. Of course, we should not go to sleep and fail to keep an eye on these things, because there could be another incident by plan or happenstance.
Things are moving ahead gradually, the GBC clan has been much more careful to treat our people nicer in the recent past. They know that their previous aggression process has not helped their cause a whole lot. And if these tactics are done again, and publicized again, it will not help them going forward. We have had some Prabhupadanugas going to these places without incident recently, and its looking better for us overall.
