Russian devotees are the weakest and most insignificant group in ISKCON GBC.
Recent events in Ukraine have made us think about the fate of Russians in the current ISKCON and the analysis has led to surprising discoveries: Russians have never had independent -- local -- leadership who would represent them in the GBC circle. Mostly Russians are used as free labor, a source of money, they are the easiest manipulate and this has set the vector of their movement.
The two "big Russian gurus" are not Russians at all, but half-breeds who follow the instructions of other GBC managing cliques and groups. In other words, for the most part, Russian devotees do not have truly Russian citizens as leadership representation. And worse, when leadership is truly needed at the moment, it seems to have almost vanished out of sight.
Ukrainians, on the other hand, show more of the spirit of self-governing and independence. They are unlikely to consider themselves as a Russian-speaking group, or submit to the same GBC leadership current in Russia.

They may even move away from ISKCON, as some of them are not happy with the Russian focused leadership system already in place for many years. Most of the other geographical areas of Krishna devotees -- for the most part -- left ISKCON managing circles a long time ago, as happened in the United States especially at one time in the 1980s, and is still ongoing there now.
Fact is, the GBC is gradually losing control over Ukraine, and is in a much weakened position in Russia. For example, Niranjana can no longer do much of anything.

But it seems they are always collecting vast sums of money for the construction of Russian temples, with little result. They are given a place in the basement, and the acquisition of other real estate is forced into unforeseen measures, and if the opportunity arises, everything can be sold. Russians in ISKCON are perceived at the level of cattle in a slaughterhouse. They can be used to the maximum, fed with garbage, and then at the end slaughtered or left to die of exhaustion. Russians can be directly or indirectly used in any criminal cases, you just need to put pressure on their feelings, emotions, and they are ready to give their lives for the sake of a "great goal" while the criminals rob them or use them for their own selfish interests.
The problem for the GBC right now is, more of the Russian devotees are starting to wake up to all this exploiting. And the Ukraine devotees are not being given a strong local management leader either, so they are having doubts about their position in GBC ISKCON. It looks like ISKCON leaders are more and more losing their grip on the Russian and Ukraine "zone" and more independent and local management is what the local devotees will be trying to establish going forward.

My ex-witch lady friend says it is easy to understand. Witches offer food to demoniac entities or Satans -- to contaminate the food, so they can make their victims get sick or die. People who offer their food to contaminated people will be eating contaminated left - overs, and they can get sick and die. And this happens over and over and over in the so-called Vaishnava community.

Hopefully you will be elevated to a platform where the religion at least offers their food to pure devotees, and you will get free of eating these contaminated -- and evidently harmful if not deadly -- by-products.

In Russia, ISKCON GBC bans harinama.

We received another letter from one of the leaders of the yatra in Barnaul (Russia) with claims about the organization of regular harinam and kirtans. Due to the misleading of the entire community of Barnaul regarding the activities of the Prabhupada Family group and specifically the leaders of the group , we are compelled to publish this because the obvious goal of the people who wrote this is to completely stop direct preaching.
So, ordinary harinama acquired the status of "opposition harinama" in the eyes of most local Vaishnavas. The usual namahatta (which took place stably 3-4 times a week) also became oppositional. Kirtan in the temple takes place once a week for about an hour, the additional organization of kirtana is also considered oppositional.
!!! In the society of Vaishnavas, everyone was told that any communication with members of our group is dangerous, propaganda is strong, everyone believed and completely stopped communicating with us and attending kirtans, harinam. There are records with the strategy of this propaganda from the leadership meetings of the Yatra activists. but now is not about that. !!!.
What's done is done.. Therefore, we focused on active preaching in the streets and kirtans in a narrow circle, without attracting too much attention from the yatra activists and without proving someone wrong in any way.
It is difficult to prove something to adults who have established themselves in their worldview, especially since in reality the style of preaching and the intensity of personal practice depend on our ultimate goal. Someone is striving to get Krishna-prema, someone is striving to get into the Vaikuntha worlds, and someone is striving for material wealth.
