PADA: Sounds terrible, if not typical of exploiting religions.

Most of the hundreds of ex-gurukulis former ISKCON school students around here on the West Coast boycott ISKCON 100 percent. Some of them really do not like Krishna at all, some of them eat meat, some of them are infuriated that the same people who orchestrated the abuse regime are still in charge, and so on and so forth. I think that speaks volumes about the situation. 

Add to that, they often know that abusers and / or their enablers are generally welcome, and / or they are getting flower garlands and respect, and we "dissenters" are generally not welcome and so on. This is not a healthy situation. 

Add to that, many of them suffer from all sorts of PTSD and other problems and there is no factual working outreach program to even find out what problems they are experiencing, never mind what help they might need. Never mind making a pipeline to give them that help (like for example replacing their knocked out teeth). 

Meanwhile, many of the big leaders and gurus are often living in opulent facility with servants, nice cars, health care, retirement accounts, if not fancy places in millionaire neighborhoods like Carpenteria, Venice Beach, San Luis Obisbo and etc. 

In other words, there is no help or hope for them on the horizon for most of the former victims and so they often blame the institution for creating this process. Add to that a molester like Lokanath is still staunchly defended, and we can easily see why they feel double, triple, quadruple victimized. I would too. 

I know a number of these victims personally and so do my kids. We all agree, they were used and abused, and then neglected. I am being once again interviewed by a professional writer's team, and they are simply astonished that all this went on, and almost nothing was ever done to create a system to re-habilitate and help these victims, while the orchestrators of the abuse regime live like millionaire Saudi Princes. They are simply flabbergasted that all of this has been going on -- at all. ys pd
