Can People in ISKCON Make Progress?

Make no mistake, Prabhu, any body who is serious and sincere in cultivating KC calls Srila Prabhupada in loving service to His mission free from all material motive, then certainly he would not like to go to the POLLUTED places to wake the dead body because he knows and understands that the places are contaminated with full of HYPOCRISY.

I hope you do understand it. Yes, they use only Srila Prabhupada’s name to attract innocent people. But these people’s TRUE LOVE and TRUST in Srila Prabhupada never awakes because they do not allow the new comers to read Srila Prabhupada’s VANI. You should know and understand it. Therefore, they are brain washed the way they want from the new comers. Isn’t that a FACT ?

When, you and others give and preach them the real VANI of Srila Prabhupada, they are already fixed in the polluted environment. As a result of it, they will not want to accept Srila Prabhupada’s VANI directly but to accept the bogus guru’s newly changed VANI which is full of misleading and CHEATING.

When you say this ; ” In the ISKCON the bogus gurus are Srila Prabhupada’s disciples but they do not want Srila Prabhupada……. ” So how in the HELL, the new comers would want to accept Srila Prabhupada’s VANI and as such where and how is their love ( the living force) calls Srila Prabhupada in order to go to there to wake the dead body? Where and how does it make any sense when you are writing as such?

[PADA: It all depends. We have various associates within ISKCON who agree with us, and they are there mainly to keep some sort of sadhana and association, but they know the GBC gurus are off. Its thus not true that everyone in ISKCON does not access or accept Srila Prabhupada's vani, some do. And in fact some ISKCON temple programs are getting closer and closer to the original pre-1978 programs, including playing audio class lectures from Srila Prabhupada, because the influence of these "new" gurus is dwindling. And so Srila Prabhupada's post is sort of gaining, if not winning, by default. 

In fact, some former ISKCON temples eventually ditched the GBC's bogus guru program in toto, and they went forward fully with our idea. It can happen and has happened. Of course that is why the GBC has spent $20m suing some of these people, they know this is a trend and unless they can stop it, its going to move ahead and eventually overtake them.   

That means some folks WERE part of the GBC program, but they gradually went over to our side. This might take some time, but it can happen and does happen. Similarly we have various independent programs which are also mainly former ISKCON people. 

So we should be careful not to alienate all of these citizens still left in and around the institution, because some of them are good customers for our product. We should also not say that everyone in the institution cannot worship Prabhupada ever, when some of them are and they sympathize with us. OK some of them never will worship Prabhupada, but we cannot toss the entire baby out with the bath water. Some of them will warm up to us, and they are, for example our blog readership is WAY up this year from last and etc. 

In sum, we need to be tolerant and patient, and expecting immediate results is not practical. Reforms of religions can sometimes take decades, centuries, and even thousands of years in some cases. Rather we should see that changes are happening gradually, and we have seen some good progress in a short time from historical point of view, and that is much more progress than some reforms have done in other religions in decades or centuries. ys pd]

[PADA: Amazing. The GBC in 1979 offered to make me the guru of Ireland if I would quit protesting, and work with them. Later on Prithu fell for that trick and he took a big post from them.]

Prithu dasa, originally from Germany, had been in Dublin, Ireland for approximately 5-6 years, from 1978. Around 1983, Paul Murphy, a/k/a Praghosa dasa joined ISKCON Ireland. Praghosa was born in Greater London, England to Irish parents. When he was approximately 6 years old his parents returned to Dublin, Ireland, where he remained until his late teenage years. At this point in his life, Praghosa das returned to the London area to seek employment and escape conservative Catholic Ireland culture.

A short time later he met the Hare Krishnas and was employed in the Soho Street Temple restaurant where he met Prithu, who convinced him to return to Ireland. Prithu made him Temple President there. Around 1985, an ex-IRA combatant joined ISKCON -- Martin Blake, a/k/a Uddhava das. Uddhava was an ex-IRA combatant, not Praghosa, as wrongly stated in Virad das's recent article. Both Uddhava and Praghosa quickly became Prithu's henchmen (they had these "qualities") and ruled with an iron fist.

[PADA: Right, there was a sort of goonda rule going on all over the place, and that was one of the techniques, to get criminal thug types to act as "enforcers."]

Eventually however, around 1988, Prithu was exposed as unreputable. 

[PADA: Actually he was exposed way before that, it just took the GBC a long time to respond.]

He was pressured and forced to abandon his post after many years of building up the Irish Yatra, which was deemed quite successful. Uddhava and Pragosh had become prominent leaders in the Irish yatra, and being in the inner circle, they had major problems with Prithu's autocracy, what to speak of the serious questions that had arisen about his spiritual integrity. 

The devotees had developed serious suspicions that Prithu was not chanting his rounds, was engaged in illicit sex, and was generally out of control; that he had 'lost the plot' with his Krsna consciousness, and was accountable to no one. 

He was sending devotees out to do paintings, and was buying himself big expensive toys -- for example: a speedboat, an expensive fancy car, an amphibious vehicle, a fancy RV, off-road 4x4 vehicles, and the like. Devotees also felt he was doing unnecessary major construction works on temple buildings "for fun". All this was apparently being funded by the rank and file, who were out night and day, selling paintings.

[PADA: Correct. While the gurukula children were complaining they were not getting sufficient food, clothing, blankets, medicine and what to speak of proper teachers and administration, the money meant for their care was being siphoned and squandered on opulent lifestyles for these bogus GBC leaders and gurus. 

For example, one of the children told me he had stunted growth and rotten teeth by the time he was 15, because he was not getting enough nourishment. He was always hungry and when he got some moldy oatmeal to eat, it made him vomit. 

So these guys like Prithu (Peter Brinkman?) were stealing the money meant to care for these children and others citizens to buy themselves all sorts of expensive toys instead. Why these leaders like Prithu were never legally charged with criminal embezzling, fraudulent use of charity funds, and orchestrated negligence of the society's children etc. is beyond us, but for sure the Yamaduttas will ask them why their empire starved children while they ate like fat hogs, why they put illicit sex into the Vyasa seat, and so on and so forth.

Even in karmi society people who orchestrate abusing, starving and mistreating of children are considered as the worst of criminals. According to a friend of mine who works in a prison "these people generally get solitary because its not safe for them in the general prison population." What to speak then of how these vicious children oppressing people will fare in Yamaraja's prison house.] 

It was around 1988 when Uddhava and Praghosa together conspired to remove Prithu prabhu from his position as leader and overseer, and they organised a coup d'état which allowed them to take control. Things didn't go exactly to their plan, however, so they left ISKCON and started their own community outside the society, taking some gullible members with them.

They ruled their community with tyranny and heavy handedness while attempting to politically fracture the infrastructure of the Irish spiritual community. At this time Sivarama Swami was the GBC for Ireland / UK, and he was negotiating with Uddhava and Praghosa for a return to ISKCON integration.

[PADA: Sivarama is one of the biggest supporters of the illicit sex acharyas program, which bans, beats, molests and assassinates people, big help he is!]

Praghosa and Uddhava's break-away community was located in the countryside near Wicklow, Ireland, approximately 50 km. south of Dublin. Among its members were the following grihastas:

Pragosh das, Goloka dasi and their 2 sons
Uddhava das, Hare Krsna dasi, their son and 2 daughters
Krsna Katha das and Bhagavati dasi, and daughter Devahuti
Prabhupada das and Bhaktin Emer and their 3 sons
Annirudha das and Himavati dasi and their 3 daughters
Daruka das and Charanaravinda dasi and their 2 daughters
Gopagan das and Karanesvari dasi and their daughter
Patri das and Dinadiadra dasi and their 2 sons

This marginal and self-appointed ISKCON community lasted approximately five years, until Praghosa secretly commenced negotiations by himself with Sivarama Swami. Praghosa, unbeknown to Uddhava and the other community members, made a private proposal to re-enter the fold of ISKCON. 

Giving Sivarama Swami an ultimatum, he demanded to be made a GBC member for Ireland with managerial authority. Sivarama Swami capitulated, much to the horror and resentment of Praghosa's self-styled community members, who regarded this as an act of betrayal. 

Sivarama was apparently able to convince the other GBC members to accept Praghosa's demands on the argument that it would bring a lot of disenfranchised devotees back to ISKCON and mend the fractured Irish yatra. Praghosa with the attitude of a mercenary, had thus stabbed Uddhava and their community members in the back , due to his avaricious ambition for power , control, resources, money and position. 

[PADA: A perfect leader candidate from the GBC perspective?]

After a short time, this self-styled, non-mainstream ISKCON community fell apart, and Uddhava along with his colleagues and most of the community degenerated back to a non-devotional lifestyle. Some community members practically gave up Krsna consciousness as a result.

[PADA: That happens all the time in GBC land, people get discouraged and leave.]

Since that time, Praghosa is believed to have heavily mortgaged temple properties in Ireland, allegedly directing the funds to various apparently private projects. Due to a lack of disclosure and accountability, the evidence appears to be circumstantial, but the temples in question are as follows:

Since being handed power as an ISKCON GBC, many devotees feel that Praghosa has treated the rank and file members of the Irish yatra with gross abject contempt. He maintains a tyrannical system of no transparency, no disclosure, no accountability. He spends little energy or time within the Irish community of devotees and couldn't care less about the welfare of the yatra he was appointed to oversee, according to most of the mature standing devotees who have continuously resided here in Ireland.

Dissatisfaction and despair has long been the order of the day, while words continue to fall upon the GBC'S deaf ears to have him replaced with a more competent manager.

[PADA: This seems to be a big problem overall, the GBC's idea that acharyas are often debauchees is not attracting well rounded mature people. So they have to compromise to attract anyone. And they thus get many people who are selfish tyrants, motivated for position, followers, power, and maybe sex with some of the followers, and / or money, etc. Likes attract. 

So the whole thing needs to be corrected, as many devotees seem to agree. The good news is that more and more of this story is getting out every day, so the sincere people can avoid getting burned by these deviants. All this of course begs the question, why does the GBC end up making these people their leaders and gurus? ys pd] 

Retirement Community in Alachua

Together with Ambarisa prabhu, we are planning a retirement community (55+) in Alachua. It will consist of approx 60 homes on small, easily maintainable lots. The homes will be about 1,000 square feet heated and cooled. It will probably be called Bhaktivedanta Village and it will be on 25 acres in downtown Alachua. There will be walking paths, a community center with a small Temple, cafeteria, kitchen, exercise room and maybe even a pool. It's in the development stage right now. [PADA: OK bravo, this is better than nothing. Yet it seems a lot of the ex-ISKCON Alachua people have already retired -- although its not the official position of most of the elderly ex-ISKCON residents. They are just sort of coincidently old; and really not very active in preaching anymore; and in Alachua. And lets face it, there is really very little preaching going on there, and no one seems to know why all of these people had to abandon ISKCON and "retire in Alachua" in the first place. 

Similar things happened in the Gaudiya Matha. Most of the congregation members left, and Srila Prabhupada says, many folks fell down; most quit preaching, many ended up having divorces and sex scandals, and a number of ex-Gaudiya folks were getting intoxicated, all of which also happened in ISKCON. Srila Prabhupada also told us, there were ex-Gauidya Math old men sitting around in tea shops, smoking beedis, reading newspapers, and gossipping about mundane politics. Yep, similar thing has happened in ISKCON too. History repeated. ys pd]

We Become What We Worship

PADA: OK well there is our first problem, we are saying gurus are in a human condition, such as being sexual predators. And thus our worshiped gurus will enable and promote themselves and other sexual predators as our gurus, teachers, leaders etc. And they will spread the problem and appoint other deviants as their co-messiahs, school teachers, administration etc. as has happened in spades. 

So, if the messiah is a sexual predator, then the whole society will be infected because we become what we worship. If we worship sexual predators, we will have a society that becomes chock full of what it worships. 

That is why we are supposed to worship pure devotees and not "human conditioned" acharyas. And we cannot control sexual predators if we are worshiping sexual predators and their enablers. The people who caused the $400,000,000 lawsuit by promoting and enabling the enforced cult ritualistic worship of sexual predators by children should be removed from all posts of authority, or we will never remove the problem. 

We also have a big problem if we say sexual predators are, were or could have been members of our chain of God's successor gurus, its means we are keeping sexual predators in our chain of gurus forever, and the problems will thus persist forever. Then again this begs the question, how did people come to think God's successor gurus are sexual predators, deviants, drug addicts, porno watchers, etc. in the first place? 

All of the people teaching that acharyas are often debauchees have to be removed or there is no fixing the issue. We cannot say debauchees and their enablers are God's successors, or it means we are saying God is a debauchee Himself because His successors are also debauchees, this means, the problem never ends, ever. 

Gurus are human beings and thus sexual predators and their enablers, and then we wonder why this problem is so pervasive, its because we become what we worship, and if we worship sexual predators and their enablers, we will have sexual predators and their enablers pervading the society in perpetuity. Jayadvaita says ISKCON gurus are often found "engaged in illicit sex with men, women and children," ok and if we become what we worship, then what kind of society will we have? ys pd

Back in the 1980s I wrote long letters to Urmila, Hari Sauri, and many other GBC leaders like Mukunda swami, Ravindra Swarupa, Gunagrahi swami, Bhakti Vikas swami, Rupanuga, Satsvarupa and many others like rank and file (parents) and congregation members as well, warning of the impending doom from allowing the Kirtanananda / Bhavananda / Jayapataka / et al anti-children program to be "managing" the kids. No one cared. 

In fact Urmila and Hari Sauri wrote me back saying "we have no interest in your topic." So, that is why they say a fish rots out from the head, the head means, the leadership. They are responsible for what goes on under their charge, and they all suppressed us, and in fact killed Sulochana and had me chased with aluminum baseball bat armed thugs who would have killed me except I was under law enforcement surveillance and they stepped in to save me at the last second, otherwise I would not be here writing now. 

The leaders not only did not want to hear from us, they wanted to kill us. So molester rings, nests, webs, these things only stand when they are supported on many sides. A web requires all the pieces to function, or it falls apart, and Urmila was and is one of the pieces of this web. And as soon as the venomous spider's web is attacked, the spiders come down to bite us and kill us. ys pd

PADA: Its amazing that people are still quoting the "Purebhakti" web site of Narayana Maharaja about the fall of the jeeva, when Narayana Maharaja says (A) all the GBC's are monkeys, and (B) they are also pure devotees, residents of Vaikuntha and acharyas (who never fall). 

That means Narayan Maharaja cannot distinguish between monkeys and pure devotees and acharyas. So why is he being quoted at all on any topic? At the same time, we had to help victims of Narayan Maharaja's GBC guru program make a $400,000,000 lawsuit against the NM guru's regime -- for mass child molesting. Narayana Maharaja is one of the biggest cheer leading servants of Tamal and the bogus GBC's guru regime, which bans, beats, molests and kills vaishnavas, and he is our authority? On any topic? 

After NM supported the crew that was creating all these crimes as "pure devotees from Vaikuntha" -- now he says, no one ever falls from there? Yet the people he promotes as Vaikuntha acharya residents are often found engaged in illicit sex, crimes of all types and etc. 

First of all, he needs to understand that monkeys are not residents of Vaikuntha. Then he invited me over to his ashram to discuss all this, and he left me sitting for 10 hours without seeing me, then he sneaks out the back door and ignores me. Why is the biggest cheer leader of the illicit sex "residents of Vaikuntha" program being quoted by anyone? 

And why does Narayana Maharaja support illicit sex acharyas regimes, and he even says the founder fathers of the 1936 homosexual's guru program are bona fide. He does not know that residents of Vaikuntha are not engaged in homosex? How did he become our authority? ys pd
