Dhira Govinda: Srila Prabhupada's Poison Complaint / Mayesvara

[PADA: I have had the very strange role in being chosen by destiny to have to expose the 1977 "poison tapes." A devotee who gave me the tapes in 1997 told me to never mention his name because he feared he would be killed, and he was pretty convinced I would be killed also for exposing these tapes. Which of course begs the questions, why were these tapes hidden? And why would people be afraid of death for exposing these tapes?

So I went to a Los Angeles professional Bengali writer / editor and asked him to do the first draft translation transcript. As soon as he listened to the tape for 30 seconds, he said "this man was poisoned to death."

And then I played the tape to a Brijabasi, and he immediately started crying profusely saying, "they killed him." And I had the same experience with other Hindi / Bengali speakers.

Of course I listened to the tape hundreds of times myself while walking around the Santa Monica Mall, wearing headphones. I was convinced that there was a homicidal intent here.

Anyway, then I made some copies of my own translated version with my own commentary and handed them out at the LA temple, and that started the whole ball rolling on investigating this matter. Then even some of my own associates told me -- not -- to pursue the matter because "this will destroy ISKCON." Sorry, I believed the truth of this matter had to come out eventually and it would be better if -- those of us had some experience with Srila Prabhupada and his "faithful GBC leaders" -- handled it now.

It is interesting that some people have said the whole reason I am promoting the poison issue is because I am trying to equate Srila Prabhupada with the crucifixion of Jesus. Ummm, that was never my original intent, but come to think of it, why should these events not be compared? Then again more than a few people have said to me, "Prabhupada was complaining of being poisoned? That would perfectly explain why they then banned, beat, molested, sued and killed his followers, made ISKCON an empty ghost town, and bankrupted his ISKCON. It all fits."

I would like to thank Dhira Govinda das for making this excellent analysis. Bravo ys pd

Dear Mayesvara Prabhu,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Hare Krsna. Thank you for sending me a copy of your book "Deception." I have read the book. Actually, I’m not really certain what the subtitle is (or, subtitles are; or, what the title is…).

On the front cover there is a 29-word description (“A true story about wounded souls…”), placed where a subtitle is generally placed, though 29 words seems quite unusually long for a subtitle. Then on the inside cover it is written “Poison CONspiracy (PCON) Exposed,   The Venom of Deception” (and then again the 29 words), and, at the bottom, “Contradictions, Hypocrisy, Deceit & Intentional Fraud”. And then, at the bottom of each page, “The Venom of Deception”. So actually, I’m not really certain whether "The Venom of Deception" is the full title, or…..anyhow, as you can see, the title / subtitle stuff, the way it’s arranged, for me comes across as very muddled. Hare Krsna.

While I was still in Israel- late 80s / early 90s, I began reading, and relishing, "Conversations with Srila Prabhupada," starting with Volume One. Into the 90s, as I get to Volume Thirty-six, I read the conversations from November 1977. My straightforward impressions from that reading were, and continue to be, after reading your "Deception," that Srila Prabhupada was clearly concerned that he was being given poison with homicidal intent, and those, or at least several of those, who were with him at the time, knew for certain that Srila Prabhupada was concerned, (transcendentally) distressed, that he was being given poison with murderous intent.

Again, I have read your Venom of Deception cover to cover, including the section entitled “What Was HDG Communicating?”

Yes, I’ve read what you’ve written regarding amphiboly, misleading punctuation (page 199), misattributed quotes, gaslighting, etc., etc. I’ll mention that, actually, paralinguistics, including the word emphasis aspect of it, as depicted in your "Deception" on page 199, with “She said she did not take his money”, is a topic with which I’m at least somewhat familiar, as I’ve been conducting classes, workshops and seminars on that topic, internationally, for more than forty years. Our professional coach training courses, for example, emphasize the importance of noticing paralinguistics, and use just the sort of examples you utilize in your book.

And I’ll emphasize here that, for me, conditioned soul that I am, it is clear that Srila Prabhuapda was expressing concern that he was being given poison with homicidal intent. That is, from what I can tell, the mukhya-vrtti, the clear, direct meaning of Srila Prabhupada’s expression.

I’ve several times read pages 197-225- that is, the section entitled "What Was HDG Communicating," of your "Deception." My conclusions of what Srila Prabhupada was expressing, in important ways, do not align with what you write.

For example, you write (page 221), “Based on prior portions of this dialogue, Bhakti Caru Swami / BCS was confirming that Srila Prabhupada was still concerned that his disciples had misunderstood him and they might think he was accusing someone of poisoning him.”

My understanding from several times reading Conversations With Srila Prabhupada Volume 36, the Room Conversation in Vrndavana on Nov. 8, 1977, as found on pages 354 – 372, and confirmed from listening to recordings (eg., at prabhupadavani.org) of these conversations, is that Srila Prabhupada clearly was concerned, experiencing distress, that someone or perhaps more than one person, was giving him poison with murderous intent. Herein I cite an excerpt from that conversation, as found on pages 367-368 of Conversations With Srila Prabhupada --

(((((Kaviraja: (Hindi with Prabhupada)

Bhakti-caru: Saturn is having its effect like at times when he was looking at Srila Prabhupada then having some trouble. When he was (indistinct) something else than when the Saturn looks higher from him...

Tamala Krsna: But what did Prabhupada just say?

Kaviraja: (Hindi)

Bhakti-caru: He said how can you define it? How can you explain it? Like the condition couldn't have improved by ten medicines also, (indistinct) one medicine it become perfect.

Tamala Krsna: What did Prabhupada just say?

Bhakti-caru: Prabhupada just said that I mean, this morning his condition was bad, not now.

Bhavananda: Prabhupada was complaining of mental distress this morning also.

Bhakti-caru: Srila Prabhupada?

Prabhupada: Hm?

Bhakti-caru: Srila Prabhupada?

Prabhupada: Hm?

Bhakti-caru: (Bengali) ...mental distress?

Prabhupada: Hm, hm.

Kaviraja: (Hindi)

Prabhupada: (Hindi—mentions word "poison")

Devotee: Someone gave him poison here.

Kaviraja: (Hindi long explanation)

Tamala Krsna: Prabhupada was thinking that someone had poisoned him.

Adri-dharana: Yes.

Tamala Krsna: That was the mental distress.

Adri-dharana: Yes.

Kaviraja: (Hindi)

Tamala Krsna: What did Kaviraja just say?

Bhakti-caru: He said that when Srila Prabhupada was saying that, there must be some truth behind it. (People all speaking at once)

Tamala Krsna: Srila Prabhupada, Sastriji says that there must be some truth to it if you say that. So who is it that has poisoned? (pause)

Kaviraja: (Hindi with Bhakti-caru and Prabhupada)

Woman: What did he say?

Bhakti-caru: He said that it's quite possible that mercury, it's a kind of a poison...

Bhagatji: That makaradhvaja. (Hindi with Kaviraja and Bhakti-caru)

Bhakti-caru: He was referring to a big murder case in Calcutta, the husband poisoned the wife.

Bhavananda: Oh yes. Our lawyer is the...

Tamala Krsna: Bhagatji doesn't think the...

Kaviraja: (Hindi with Bhakti-caru and Prabhupada)

Tamala Krsna: No poison is strong enough to stop the hari-nama, Srila Prabhupada.

Kaviraja: Yes. (Hindi))))))

I understand that there may be slightly different versions of the transcript. Notwithstanding that, for me it’s clear that several of those who are around Srila Prabhupada are clear that Srila Prabhupada is experiencing mental distress because he is concerned that someone is giving him poison with malicious intent.

As far as the contention that Srila Prabhupada and those around him were only speaking and concerned about the sometimes toxic effects of some medicines, that stance, for me, doesn’t at all hold up. I say that because in that same conversation they are speaking about a case of poisoning by murder, and previously they were speaking about a case of murder by poison of an acarya in a Sankaracarya math (Page 359- Tamal Krsna Goswami- “Jayapataka Maharaja was telling that one acarya, Sankaracarya, of the Sankaracarya line … he was poisoned to death…”)

So, Srila Prabhupada was expressing and concerned about being given poison with murderous intent, and those around him were clear about that. That is clear to me from reading "Conversations with Srila Prabhupada," and from hearing audio recordings from Srila Prabhupada’s conversations from that time period. To me, the interpretations you give in your book, to a significant extent, sound and seem quite twisted, strained. So, I guess we get to agree to disagree on what Srila Prabhupada was communicating.

Further, simple-minded as I may be, when I read, at the top of page 368 of Volume 36 of Conversations, Tamal Krsna Maharaja say, “Srila Prabhupada, Sastriji says that there must be some truth to it if you say that. So who is it that has poisoned?”- my understanding is that Tamal Krsna, at this time, is clear that someone has attempted or is attempting, to give poison to Srila Prabhupada, with homicidal intent; or at least, Tamal Krsna Gosvami is clear that Srila Prabhupada clearly believes or at least is concerned, that someone is giving to him (Srila Prabhupada), or has given to him, poison with murderous intent. Tamal Krsna Gosvami isn’t asking whether someone has poisoned Srila Prabhupada.

He is asking, “who is it that has poisoned”. Thus, for Tamal Krsna Gosvami, the question of whether Srila Prabhupada was poisoned, or at least whether Srila Prabhupada thinks that someone has been giving him poison, is already decided in the affirmative. That’s my assessment, after closely studying Conversations with Srila Prabhupada, and applying my mind and intellect to your "Deception."

On page 324 of "Deception" you cite Occam’s razor- “Of two competing theories, the simpler explanation of an entity is to be preferred.” Applying this to the conversations with Srila Prabhupada from November, 1977, it’s clear to me that the simpler explanation, compared to what you attempt to present in your Deception, is that Srila Prabhupada was worried that he was being given poison with murderous intent, and those around him knew for certain that he was distressed that he was being given poison with homicidal intent.

And of course, when we use terms such as “worried” and “distressed”, in relation to Srila Prabhupada, we understand that all of Srila Prabhupada’s emotions and thoughts are completely on the transcendental platform, devoid of any mundane trace of material anxiety or stress. Jaya Srila Prabhupada. Hare Krsna.

In your book on pages 436-438 you include statements from various devotees related to the pastime of Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance. Bhakti Caru Svami writes, “It is an absolutely absurd allegation that Srila Prabhupada has been poisoned by his disciples. If anyone intentionally poisoned Srila Prabhupada Srila Prabhupada, then it must be me…..” And Bhavananda Prabhu writes, “The entire poison issue is ludicrous and beyond absurd…”

So, for me, it’s not clear how, in the late 90s, when Bhakti Caru Swami and Bhavananda wrote those statements, the idea that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with murderous intent was absurd, and ludicrous, whereas in November, 1977, as per the transcripts included above, both of them were, from my perspective, quite clear that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with malicious intent, or at least they were clear that Srila Prabhupada was very concerned and distressed that he was being given poison with homicidal intent.

Actually, in 2004 I wrote to Bhakti Caru Swami and inquired about this, though I didn’t receive a reply from him. And I’ll share here that, over the years, Bhakti Caru Swami and I did have several exchanges, in-person, and via phone and correspondence, sometimes for hours at a time, on topics such as child protection, the transformative communication seminars I conduct, etc. And, in regards to my letter to him about Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime, I didn’t receive a response to that.

Quoting from a letter I wrote a few years ago- “Similarly, I have questions for, for instance, Bhavananda Prabhu- ‘Bhavananda Prabhu- Based on the recorded conversations from November 8, 1977, it’s clear that you knew that Srila Prabhupada was experiencing mental distress because he thought, or knew, that he was being given poison with malicious intent. Why, then, a little over 20 years later, did you state in writing that the idea that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with homicidal intent is “ludicrous and beyond absurd”?’

Are they saying that Srila Prabhupada was joking, or not in his clear mind, or….what?

Mayesvara prabhu- In "Deception" you devote a lot of effort to psychoanalysis, right from the very title, or subtitle, of your book (“wounded souls…”). In my attempts to get to the essence of what you’re doing there, my sense is that you’re asserting that the psychological disturbances, frailties, prejudices, woundedness and pathologies of those whose stance is that there is a reasonably strong possibility, or at least there is reasonable cause to suspect, that Srila Prabhuapda was given poison by persons with murderous intent, are much greater and more severe than those who believe that there is zero or practically nil chance that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with homicidal intent. My perceptions and analyses, present and over the decades, do not support your assertion.

As I’ve shared above, to me it’s clear that Srila Prabhupada expressed that he was concerned that one or persons were giving him or had given him poison with malicious intent. That is true regardless of what one makes of the “Ravana” thing.

I don’t mean to make much of it. Still, since you do address it in your book- eg., page 187, I’ll mention that for me, in that part of the conversation, Srila Prabhupada is indicating that there is a metaphorical “Ravana”, there in the room where he is staying. In reading what you wrote about the Ravana thing, for me your logic really isn’t clear, in regards to how Srila Prabhupada could have been referring to Tamal Krsna Goswami as Rama.

And I’m open to the possibility that perhaps I’m just not seeing something. And again, whatever one’s perception of the Rama / Ravana / Sita / Marici part of those conversations, it is clear, to me anyway, that Srila Prabhupada experienced distressed due to concern that he was being given poison, and that those around him, or at least several of them, were well aware of that.

On page 378 of Volume 36 of Conversations With Srila Prabhupada, Srila Prabhupada, as far as I can tell, specifically states that he wants to go on parikrama, and that the parikrama represents the much more auspicious (Rama-like) option, and to stay where he is represents the more inauspicious (Ravana-like) option.

Conversations With Srila Prabhupada, page 378-

(((((((Tamala Krsna Maharaja: This seems like suicide, Srila Prabhupada, this program. It seems to some of us like it's suicidal.

Srila Prabhupada: And this is also suicidal.

Tamala Krsna: Hm. Prabhupada said, "And this is also suicide." Now you have to choose which suicide.

Srila Prabhupada: The Ravana will kill and Rama will kill. Better to be killed by Rama. Eh? That Marici- if he does not go to mislead Sita, he'll be killed by Ravana; and if he goes to be killed by Rama, then it is better.

Tamal Krsna: Who is this Prabhupada’s talking about?

Devotees: Marici.))))))))

To me it sounds clear that Srila Prabhupada is saying that there is a metaphorical Ravana, or more than one of them, in his midst, and that this Ravana, or team of them, is acting in Ravana-like ways- that is, in ways that are deceptive and wicked.

That’s what it seems to me. So, for me, a natural question is, who is this “Ravana” to whom Srila Prabhupada alludes? And again, I believe that I understand and appreciate the viewpoint that, “There’s really nothing substantial here, with this ‘Ravana’ statement from Srila Prabhupada.

Don’t try to concoct something out of nothing”. Okay, still, it’s clear from these conversations that Srila Prabhupada was experiencing mental distress due to concern that he was being given poison with murderous intent. And, yes, I do have curiosity in regards to who the Ravana is, to whom Srila Prabhupada refers. And I don’t regard it as ridiculous that I maintain such a curiosity.

In regards to whispers- it seems to me that there are several audio and audio-forensic professionals who assert that, in the background of conversations with Srila Prabhupada during November, 1977, there are whispers that include the word “poison”, including the statement “The poison is going down”. In your Deception you endeavour to attack their competence and motivations. These professionals include, for example, Tom Owen, Helen McCaffrey, Jack Mitchell and James Reames.

Studying what you’ve written, for example in the chapter of Deception entitled Being Told What To Listen For, beginning on page 131, still I’m left with the clear conception that audio forensic professionals confirm that people in the background of those conversations are whispering about “poison”, including the statement, “The poison is going down” (or, perhaps, “The poison’s going down”).

So, while Srila Prabhupada is lying there, a few days before the closure of his disappearance pastime, some of his caregivers are in the background whispering about “poison”, saying things like “The poison’s going down”. Yes, I tend to wonder why they’re speaking in whispers about poison.

That, combined with what I consider to be the fact that Srila Prabhupada also, during the same recorded conversations, expressed his concern, maybe his knowledge, that he was being given poison, does not lead me to the conclusion that there is no evidence that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with homicidal intent, but, rather, to the conclusion that there is ample and substantial evidence that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with murderous intent.

Of course I understand that these audio professionals are, almost surely, conditioned souls, subject to the defects of material senses. Still, while naturally I don’t place godlike, superhuman, divine trust in them, I do basically believe and trust what they say and their conclusions, in their fields of expertise.

Yes, I understand, that your assaults on their competence and motivations may, for example, move a jury to consider that perhaps their statements are not to be regarded as absolutely perfect, and that could cast doubt in the minds of jury members or a judge seeking to determine whether the evidence is beyond a reasonable doubt. From my perspective, though, if the evidentiary standard is, say, at 96% rather than 99.999%- that (96%) doesn’t lend itself, for me, to the conclusion that there is no evidence. 96 does not equal 0.

My viewpoint, based on my study of the matter, including your Deception, is that the forensic audio data does lend itself to the conclusion that there definitely is substantially reasonable cause to suspect that Srila Prabhupada was given poison, with malevolent intent.

Tom Owen, from Owl Investigations, writes, regarding the whispers in the background of conversations with Srila Prabhupada in November 1977, “The word poison is clearly audible…..There is conversation about poison and the use of it. In my opinion there is certainly a basis for further investigation…. A forensic toxicologist and homicide investigator should be consulted… Based on my training and experience, the word "poison" is clearly audible and intelligible in several instances.”

Yes, I’ve closely read and carefully considered what you’ve written regarding Tom Own on pages 141 and 142 of Deception. And my conclusion is that Tom Owen, conditioned soul that he may be, who is a highly respected audio-forensic professional, determined that there are people in the background, while Srila Prabhupada is lying there, speaking about poison, and Tom Owen is seriously concerned that these people may be speaking about and involved in an attempt at homicide by poisoning.

James Reames served the FBI for over thirty years as an audio-forensic analysis expert. Reames, imperfect as he may be, confirmed that in the background of the conversations in November 1977, there is whispering, and one of the whispers states, “The poison is going down”. I understand that on page 142 of your Deception book you attempt to minimize Reames’ findings. For me, Reames’ findings and statements add to the body of evidence that indicate that it’s highly possible that those in the role of Srila Prabhupada’s caregivers endeavored to murder Srila Prabhupada by giving him poison.

Similarly you attempt to discredit, with regards to credentials, competency and motivation, Jack Mitchell, Helen McCaffrey, and others. I understand that some may place heavy weight on your attempts at discrediting them. My view, based on carefully studying the relevant materials and documentation, is that McCaffrey and Mitchell are respected professionals, who gave sincere effort, and concluded that people in the background are whispering and using the word “poison” in their whispers, while Srila Prabhupada is lying there.

Yes, I understand, as you describe on page 143 of your book, that Dr. Helen McCaffrey’s specialty is hearing disabilities, and not forensics. That for me doesn’t erase credibility in regards to her efforts and findings, which do confirm the findings of others, who are audio-forensic specialists.

About Dr. McCaffrey you write (page 143 of Deception), “All she really did was sit back and listen to the enhanced audio tapes presented to her by Mr. Mitchell after he………Dr. McCaffrey was basically contracted to confirmed what Mr. Mitchell told her she was supposed to listen for. Her participation was deceitful used to pump up the witness list with one more name….” Okay, well, perhaps your conjecture regarding “All she really did…” is accurate.

My tendency, faulty as it may be, is to regard your conjecture as unduly, and unsoundly, cynical and critical. I mean, maybe Dr. Helen McCaffrey is a sincere lady, and an honest, professional expert in the field of audio, and she earnestly applied herself, and found, consistent with the findings of other audio and audio-forensic professionals, that in those conversations in November, 1977, there were persons whispering about “poison”.

And, similarly with Dr. Robert Morris, and his cadmium findings in Srila Prabhupada’s hair. I’ve read Chapter 8, pages 227-275, The Problems with Hair Analysis, of Deception. I understand that flaws in Morris’ procedure can be found and analyzed, and that at least some of those defects or apparent defects could be regarded as valid considerations in regards to assessing the credibility of Dr. Robert Morris’s findings in relation to the cadmium levels in Srila Prabhupada’s hair during parts of 1977.

My view, which is informed by study of Chapter 8 of your book, is that Morris’s findings, while not to be regarded as infallible, are definitely not to be taken lightly. My viewpoint is that Dr. J. Steven Morris, at a high degree of professional scientific competence, followed rigorous procedure in his analysis and presentation of the results of Srila Prabhupada’s hair samples. To quote an excerpt from a letter I wrote a few years ago, “He does this, for example, by providing a statistically calculated 95% confidence interval for a range of values. Yes, … if there were a greater mass of hair the measurements would be more accurate, and perhaps even Dr. Morris would have chosen a different method of measurement.

Considering the mass of hair he had to work with, he chose Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA), the best method available for that mass. And he gave the margin of error, showing that we can be at least 95% confident that, even if the lowest value amongst the ranges for the three hair samples of Srila Prabhupada were true, then, still, on average, Srila Prabhupada’s hair contained about 216 times above average, or about 21,500% above average. (Calculated as- [(14.9-3.8) + (19.9-2) + (12.4-1.2)] / 3 = 13.4 / .062 (average ppm cadmium in human hair)).

“We understand of course that such measurements are subject to error. So, for example, if the measured amount of cadmium in hair is, say, 30%, 60%, or maybe even 200%, above normal, then that’s not necessarily an indication that the body has a significantly elevated cadmium level. But, we’re talking here 21,500%.”

On page 435 of Deception: The Venom of Deception, you include a letter from the ISKCON Governing Body Commission (GBC), dated December 8, 2017. In that letter the GBC states, “Therefore, to protect innocent devotees from devastating offenses, the GBC is preparing a detailed response to the latest accusations, which are themselves the actual poison in this case.

“The GBC requests ISKCON devotees to focus their attention on serving Srila Prabhupada’s mission and to avoid hearing these monstrous accusations, until the GBC presents a response to the latest poisonous theories…”

In that letter the GBC asserts that the idea that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with murderous intent, by those close to him, is “ghastly”, “dark”, “lacking credible evidence”, etc. And, as stated above, the GBC stated that they are “preparing a detailed response”.

Okay, so, as far as I’m aware, they’ve not issued such a response. Or, if they have, I very much would like to see and read it. From the way the GBC expresses in the letter, and from other issuances I’ve seen from the GBC, as a body and with regard to individual members of that committee, to prepare a response ought to have required, maybe, a week- okay, a month or two…six months maximum. Well, it has been about four years now since their December 8, 2017 letter.

If, as they say, the allegations that there is credible evidence that Srila Prabhupada was administered poison with hostile intent, are ridiculous, absurd, monstrous accusations lacking any semblance of credibility- well then, it would seem that they could prepare a response pretty easily. But, it’s four years now. I haven’t seen the GBC response. Maybe, then, there is substance and credibility to the idea that Srila Prabhupada was given poison by persons with criminal intentions?

I appreciate, Mayesvara Prabhu, that you’ve given yourself heart and soul to Deception. In that effort I see and feel your earnest attempts to genuinely care for Srila Prabhupada and his mission. And, clearly, as far as I can perceive, the ISKCON Governing Body Commission doesn’t consider your book to be an effective attempt to counter the allegations that Srila Prabhupada was given poison by persons with venomous motivations.

If the GBC regarded your book as doing an adequate job of refuting the evidence that indicates that Srila Prabhupada was given poison by persons with homicidal intentions, then, I believe, the GBC would have announced, “Here’s our response, that we promised in December 2017…”. But, they haven’t done that, and neither have they issued any other response- again, as far as I’m aware, and I’m ready to be shown to be mistaken.

I trust that, on an individual basis, devotees in positions of leadership in the ISKCON organization, including those who serve on the GBC, may certainly, if asked or questioned, refer people here and there to your Deception. They may do that, on a personal basis, when faced with questions regarding Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime that they’re not capable to answer with any semblance of integrity or adequacy. “Oh- Mayesvara Prabhu wrote a book about that- Deception- read his book…..”

Again, though, as a body, clearly, they’re looking, at least ostensibly, to issue an official response, and they haven’t done that, and the fact that they’ve not officially endorsed your book, indicates, I believe, that the GBC knows full well that your book doesn’t reasonably adequately address the issues, the strong evidence, that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with murderous intentions.

I understand that those who may be, by many, suspected, as implicated in giving Srila Prabhupada poison in 1977, have performed tremendous service for Srila Prabhupada and his movement. Maybe some of them are enjoying rasagullas with Sri Krsna as I write this. “Well, it’s a contradiction to say that they performed tremendous service for Srila Prabhupada, and that they gave him poison with homicidal intent.” From my perspective, there’s no contradiction there.

And, I understand that your viewpoint is that, based on your experience and knowledge of these devotees, you are certain that they were definitely not capable of such an act as deliberately giving poison to Srila Prabhupada. My view is different. But, anyway, it’s not about them.

It’s about Srila Prabhupada, and, specifically, about glorifying Srila Prabhupada and enhancing our appreciation, awe and veneration for him, and our enthusiasm to dedicatedly serve him. And for sure I can truly say that the more I research and discover about Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime, including from reading your book, I am increasingly moved and inspired by Srila Prabhupada’s sublime and inconceivable transcendental character.

In writing the above, I’m thinking of the disappearance pastime of Jesus. So, obviously, it’s not about getting angry at the Roman soldiers who hammered in the nails, or at Judas. They were all part of Jesus’ disappearance pastime, and, maybe they were directly sent from Vaikuntha to participate in it, or maybe they were heavily conditioned souls thickly covered by the darker modes of material nature.

Whatever. The essential purport of the pastime, as far as I understand, is that it’s an opportunity to appreciate and be impacted by the qualities of Jesus, the pure devotee of God. And, real similarly with the disappearance pastime of Srila Prabhupada. Hare Krsna. And I understand that the driving force for you in writing Deception was to glorify Srila Prabhupada, and serve and protect his movement. I recognize and appreciate you for that.

Sri Krsna and Srila Prabhupada could have co-created Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime in any number of ways- virus, bacteria, heart attack. If they chose to co-create Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime through attempted murder by poison, I trust that they have sublime reasons for doing so, and that those reasons are unfolding and will continue to be revealed.

On page 435 of “Deception: A true story about wounded souls, who extrapolated a murder conspiracy, from the ambiguous moments that occurred during the last months of a profound 20th century spiritual revolutionary’s life- Poison CONspiracty (PCON) Exposed- The Venom of Deception: Contradictions, Hypocrisy, Deceit and Intentional Fraud”, you write, in regards to the letter from Radha Sundari Dasi, Secretary for the GBC Body, “It is as straightforward and clear as it can be and it is endorsed by 35 of the most senior devotees who are still leading the Hare Krishna movement despite all of the difficulties and criticisms they have endure along the way…” I appreciate how you’re appreciating devotees, particularly these Vaisnavas, who certainly do receive lots of criticism- no doubt, some or lots of it unwarranted.

As I’ve made abundantly clear here, I’m not in agreement with the ISKCON GBC’s official position, as expressed in the GBC resolution that states, “There is no evidence at this time to support the allegations of poisoning of Srila Prabhupada.”

My view is that Srila Prabhupada’s words, clearly stating that he was concerned, or perhaps knew, that he was being given poison, constitute very strong evidence. Also my perspective is that the recorded statements of those around Srila Prabhupada at the time, in November 1977, where they clearly share their awareness that Srila Prabhuapada was experiencing distress because he thought, or knew, that he was being administered poison with violent intent, are also strong evidence.

Also I’ll say that, from my study of the situation, including the audio forensic analyses, it’s clear that some of Srila Prabhupada’s caregivers, there in November 1977, were whispering in the background about poison, including the statement, “The poison’s going down”. And, further, analysis of Srila Prabhupada’s hair samples also strongly indicates to me (again, conditioned soul that I am) yet additional evidence that Srila Prabhupada was given cadmium, with lethal intentions.

So, I am not in alignment with the GBC’s statement, “There is no evidence at this time to support the allegations of poisoning of Srila Prabhupada.” And I’ll say, that such a statement is itself, from my point of view, cause for further suspicion that the ISKCON GBC has something to conceal in relation to Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime.

“Well, Dhira Govinda dasa, such interpretations and conclusions just reveal what a fool you are…” Dhira Govinda dasa: “Could be…” “Or, worse, how darkly, cynically motivated you are...” Dhira Govinda dasa: “Could be…” Anyhow, I’ve processed the information, the data, including all that is contained in your book, and I’ve shared my thoughts and analyses.

Over the years you have several times expressed your support and appreciation for my efforts to serve Srila Prabhupada’s movement, including, for example, through transformational seminars we’ve developed and we facilitate founded on ancient, eternal wisdom, as received through Srila Prabhupada (May 1, 2015, Mayesvara prabhu to Dhira Govinda dasa- “I was telling Brajarani that if anyone listened to me, I would insist that before an individual could be a temple president, a GBC or take sanyasa...they would have to attend one of your ‘Awareness’ courses. …I will still encourage those I meet to participate because the service you are offering is a great contribution to Lord Caitanyas movement! Hare Krishna!”).

I much appreciate your encouragement. It means a lot to me. And, you have expressed that you’re concerned that some or many of those who are somehow inspired to come to Krsna consciousness through my efforts- eg., with the Satvatove seminars- will feel discouraged, when they later apply their rational minds to the topic of Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime, and discover that my conclusions are, from your point of view, quite non-rational, or, even, laughable, preposterous.

Again, I note and value your sincere concern. And, I’ve applied by intelligence and rational faculties to this topic, and, at present anyway, have, as you’re aware, come to the conclusion that it is highly possible- even, more than that- highly probable- that in 1977 Srila Prabhupada was given poison by persons with homicidal intent. And my belief is that a large percent of others too, upon applying themselves to the facts, with open-minded sincerity and analytical intellect, will, and already have, arrive at real similar conclusions.

On page 277 you write, “……acknowledges that during the 1970s very little was known about the use of cadmium as a murder weapon. Yet, they take a huge, irrational leap to the conclusion that devotees with absolutely NO knowledge about cadmium figured out how to get it, mix it, serve it, and monitor its efficacy. A rationally minded person would hardly need further evidence of the impossible nature of the PCON’s senseless assumptions at this point, but, if there is still some doubt….”

That’s not how I process things, and I understand that that might certainly mean that, in your mind, I’m in the category of a person who is not rationally minded. Anyhow, my view is that those to whom we are referring, very astute and clever as they are/were, could, if they set their mind and intention to it, learn whatever they needed to learn about cadmium poison- yes, even back then, in the 1970s, pre-internet. For sure, no doubt, it makes sense to have reasonable skepticism that they did take the time and effort to learn about cadmium poison.

That, though, is different than firmly believing that they were incapable of doing so. I feel certain that they were quite capable. That capacity, in the context of much else that I’ve expressed above, leads me to have reasonable cause to suspect that they in fact did learn what they needed to learn about the process of cadmium poisoning.

And, for me, similar with respect to “time”. As you describe right there on the back cover of your Deception, “Deception offers convincing evidence that proves how senior members of the Hare Krishna movement did not have the time, resources, knowledge, opportunity or motive to poison….”

Again, my view is that those to whom we’re referring, while certainly intensely engaged with so many services and responsibilities, were/are expert, high-level managers, and knew how to be efficient with time, and thus my point of view is that, while fulfilling their many responsibilities, they also could have, if they made it important, cleared the time to engage in giving Srila Prabhupada poison. They are smart people who know how to manage time. Hare Krsna.

To reiterate something to which I’ve already alluded, my impression of your book as a whole, including several specific sections of it, is that it contains material that might convince some fair-minded juries and judges that the evidence that those to whom we’re referring, as suspects, gave Srila Prabhupada poison with murderous intent, does not reach the threshold of 99+%, beyond a reasonable doubt. That, all in all, it comes to, say, 98% or 95%, and thus maybe some judges or juries would not convict in criminal court. Yes, that may be true.

For me, though, 95% or 98% does not make the assertion that Srila Prabhuapda was given poison, ludicrous, or absurd, nor does it justify the GBC’s stance, “There is no evidence at this time to support the allegations of poisoning of Srila Prabhupada.” “No evidence” means that the facts don’t even indicate that there is reasonable cause to suspect that this attempted murder happened- like, not even 5%. 5%- some semblance of reasonable cause to suspect.

My view, including after carefully reading your book, is that the data, the facts, certainly do constitute reasonable cause to suspect that an attempted murder happened. And, as clearly you’re clear by now, my view is that the information constitutes not just around 5%, but more like 95-99%. If I’m understanding correctly your view is that the data doesn’t even rise to the 5% level, or, perhaps more accurately, not even to the 1% level. Thus, you regard the idea that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with homicidal intent to be absurd, nonsensical, idiotic- and thus you gave us Deception.

Applying this, again, to the scientists who conducted audio analysis and hair analysis- eg., Robert Morris, Tom Owen, James Reames, Jack Mitchell, and Helen McCaffrey- I find their findings to be credible- if not 100%, then near it. As I’ve previously mentioned, your attempts to diminish their integrity, in regards to both motivation and competence, perhaps would or will cause some rationally-minded persons to reduce their perception of the credibility of the findings of these scientists, to, say, 95%, maybe 90%.

Still, it’s clear to me (not absolutely clear- but, 90-99%), from the findings of these science professionals that Srila Prabhupada’s hair samples contained tens of thousands of percent higher than average cadmium levels, and that some of Srila Prabhuapda caregivers were whispering in the background about “poison”.

If, let’s say, there were evidence indicating, for example, that Tom Owen and Robert Morris received a monetary bribe to arrive at the findings they determined- okay, that would be the sort of thing to really move me to not seriously regard their findings, to practically totally discredit what they say. But, there’s nothing like that. So, my perspective is that there is strong evidence (maybe not strong enough to convict in criminal court- but, then again, only maybe…) to indicate that Srila Prabhupada was given cadmium poison with lethal intent, and that some of Srila Prabhupada’s caregivers were whispering about poison, in the background of conversations when the alleged cadmium poisoning was allegedly taking place.

And also at that time Srila Prabhupada was, based on my reading of and hearing from Srila Prabhupada, speaking about concerns that he was being given poison. And also just at that time some of those who were surrounding Srila Prabhupada were clearly acknowledging that Srila Prabhupada was experiencing distress because he thought or knew that he was being deliberately administered poison.

And also just at that time Srila Prabhupada was discussing with those around him about cases of murder by poisoning.

Conversations With Srila Prabhupada, Volume 36, page 359-

“Tamala Krsna Maharaja: Ah, I see. That’s why actually we cannot allow anyone else to cook for you……..Jayapataka Maharaja was telling that one acarya, Sankaracarya, of the Sankaracarya line…he was poisoned to death. Since that time, none of the acaryas or the gurus of the Sankaracarya line will ever take any food cooked except by their own men…”

So, they are, it seems clear to me, speaking about a case of murder by poison, because Srila Prabhuapda was without doubt concerned and suspecting that some were attempting to murder him by poison.

All of this together, from my point of view, does not constitute support for the ISKCON GBC’s stance of, “There is no evidence at this time to support the allegations of poisoning of Srila Prabhupada.” Rather, my perspective is that it constitutes strong indication that some persons at that time, there in 1977, did attempt to murder Srila Prabhupada with poison.

And, the way I process things, that the GBC sticks to their “no evidence” (zero- as in, not even 1%) stance, suggests that the GBC, as an organizational entity and at least some of the individuals serving on that body, are attempting to conceal something (I understand that that might indicate to you that I’m unduly cynical in the way I am processing this information, because you, if I’m correctly understanding you, perceive that the GBC has been and is dealing with and responding to this issue in a clean and straightforward way…).

And again, relatedly, where is that GBC “detailed response” that they asserted they would issue in December 2017. If it’s so clear that there’s “no evidence”, and if it’s laughably ludicrous to believe that Srila Prabhupada was given poison with homicidal motives, how come after four years they still have not issued that “detailed response”? You labored hard for Deception, and apparently the GBC doesn’t accept that as sufficiently credible for their “detailed response” report.

I am interested and enthused to know and understand the truth about all of Srila Prabhupada’s pastimes- sailing on the Jaladuta, rising early to dictate his Bhaktivedanta purports, inspiring Ratha-Yatra at 5 years old, his thousands of letters to his disciples, opening Krsna consciousness centers all around the world, his lectures, conversations, etc. With regards to Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime, my sense is that from the ISKCON GBC we’re not getting the truth, and I do regard it as vitally important that the world knows the facts in regards to Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime.

And I’ll say that the GBC’s persistent concealment, bluff and deception in regards to the truth about Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime- well, that all constitutes a whole other category of evidence- or at least, reasonable cause for additional suspicion. Anyhow, those are my perceptions. Perhaps the GBC’s report, “detailed response”, is just now coming….and we’ll get it in the next day or few, and, after reading that my mind will be peaceful, seeing that ISKCON leadership is handling this and communicating about it in a straightforward way that shows lots of integrity, and my intelligence and heart will be convinced that, as you say, it is ridiculous to think that Srila Prabhupada’s caregivers in November 1977 gave him poison with homicidal intentions.

I’m not suggesting that we ought to overemphasize his disappearance pastime (I believe, for example, that some groups of Christians tend to overemphasize the disappearance pastime of Jesus…..it might be nice to hear more about, for example, Jesus dancing in love of God….). I am wanting that the truth of Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime, and all of his wonderful, transcendental pastimes, is revealed. I hope and trust that our exchanges, including this response to your Deception, will contribute to that effort.

Thank you for giving your time to read what I’ve expressed. I welcome any comments you’d like to share with me, regarding anything I’ve written in this letter (or, in regards to anything, really).

Clearly, for now anyway, we get to agree to disagree on this one, regarding Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime. Often, variety of perspective enriches relationships and community.

I like what you write on page 44, “What is more dangerously deceiving than the three words: “I KNOW THAT”? The answer is: “WE KNOW THAT”…” I genuine seek and want to have and continue to have open-mindedness in regards to truths connected with Srila Prabhupada’s disappearance pastime, and I welcome feedback on how you and others perceive me in that regard.

I hope this meets you in strong health and enthused in serving Srila Prabhupada and his mission. Hare Krsna.

Your servant,

Dhira Govinda dasa (davidbwolf@satvatove.com)

Srila Prabhupada's Departure (Gauri Das Pandit dasa)

Dear Prabhus,

Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Here are some of my memories of Srila Prabhupada's disappearance pastimes. He was like Grandfather Bhismadeva leaving his body so bravely because he is totally Krsna Conscious and took full shelter of Krsna from the very beginning of his transcendental life. The good news we know is that he lives on spiritually and that's what counts.

'Srila Prabhupada's Divine Departure'

By Krsna's mercy I was allowed to serve his pure devotee Srila Prabhupada during the last year he was physically present on this planet. My long cherished desire to personally serve Srila Prabhupada was finally fulfilled.

I went to Mayapura for the Gaura Pournima festival in 1977. Srila Prabhupada's health had started to deteriorate so he canceled a few of his scheduled classes and events. The devotees started to worry about and pray for the better health of Srila Prabhupada.

After the Mayapur Festival Srila Prabhupada went to Bombay. There I got the opportunity to serve Srila Prabhupada starting at that time as one of his guards. So many devotees and guests were always coming to see Srila Prabhupada who was always such a kind host giving knowledge and Prasadam to all who came.
Srila Prabhupada’s quarters in the new Temple were not complete so he asked Surabhi Swami, the devotee architect, to finish his quarters in a few days which he miraculously did to his eternal credit.

When Srila Prabhupada was brought to the elevator for the first trip up to his quarters on the top floor the elevator doors opened and a rat ran across the floor. Srila Prabhupada said, "Just see! The Temple is not even finished, and the rats are already here." Srila Prabhupada always had a good sense of humor and great Vaisnava Wit.

Tamal Krishna Maharaja was Srila Prabhupada's secretary at that time. I joined the movement for my first year in 1974 with him and Visnujana Swami. Knowing me from the RDTSP he asked me if I wanted to be a guard for Srila Prabhupada. I jumped at the chance. I didn't even get to see Srila Prabhupada for the first two weeks. Then an opportunity arose. I got to help carry a bookshelf into Srila Prabhupada's room.

After putting it in place I quickly sat down in front of Srila Prabhupada. I wanted to relish the darshan of His Divine Grace as long as possible. Out of the corner of my eyes I could see the secretary in the doorway waving at me to come out, but I acted like I didn't see him, so I could stay longer. Then I realized my service being his guard at the door shouldn't be neglected so I offered my obeisances and went back to my service.

I got to meet Srila Prabhupada the first day I joined the movement along with the other Radha Damodar devotees, the day after the 1974 San Francisco Rathayatra. We all gave Srila Prabhupada a long stemmed rose and offered our obeisances to him. He was glowing and so charming as he received us all so nicely. After we all sat down he said, “You are all very bright faced and fortunate to come to Lord Chaitanya’s Movement. Now that you are fortunate; make others fortunate. Preach this message of Lord Chaitanya’s all over the world. (RC 7/7/74)

Srila Prabhupada went on speaking to us for quite awhile encouraging us to share Krsna Consciousness all around the world and he said that would please him.
Srila Prabhupada always gave credit to his Guru Maharaja, Lord Chaitanya, Lord Krsna and the devotees. He was and is humility personified. He always showed us that preaching is the essence and his books are the basis of Krsna Consciousness.
Srila Prabhupada's physical health continued to deteriorate in Bombay.

One nice life member named Kartikeya Mahadevia, a good friend of Srila Prabhupada's, advised him to go to Hrsikesh to regain his health. Srila Prabhupada considered it and decided to go. I asked the secretary if I could go and at first he said no. I asked again and again and finally asked if I paid my own way could I join them there. He said that would be alright. I was so happy. I sold a tent I had to get the money for the ticket. Then it was off to Hrsikesh and later Sri Vrindavan Dhama where my services increased dramatically to my heart's content.

Things were like heaven in Hrsikesh serving Srila Prabhupada. We were staying in a two story house that a life member let us use right on the bank of the Holy Ganges River. We had the best Jalebi maker (Vedic sweets) in the world, according to Srila Prabhupada, right across the street. We used to have fruit, yogurt and hot Jalebi's for breakfast. Srila Prabhupada said that hot Jalebi's could cure the common cold.

I used to enjoy taking Japa Walks along the Ganges at the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains. The forests are lush, filled with singing birds, and devotees. I used to also enjoy bathing in the rushing Holy Ganges River and ride a log back to Srila Prabhupada's house chanting all the way. Visnujana Swami was pulled by a boat in the water in Mayapur as he chanted the Holy names of the Lord ~ Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya…

One of my services was washing Srila Prabhupada’s clothes in the river. His clothes smelled so good like sandalwood and roses. Another service was doing Harinam Sankirtan in the Market Place just down from the house right on the Ganges. We would chant all afternoon until about 5pm then take the Kirtan back to the rooftop of our house. Then at 5:30pm Srila Prabhupada would give his darshan to the general public.

Although we did not advertise the darshan; the room was always full of interested guests every night. Srila Prabhupada preached to them in his unique and charming way. He used his great Vaisnava wit to charm the crowds and inspire them to take to Krishna Consciousness.

Srila Prabhupada was a perfect gentleman and a great and loving host, the topmost host! He always paid attention to everyone and made sure all of the guests received Prasadam. Almost every evening Srila Prabhupada talked about the Bhagavad Gita and how it should not be misinterpreted as it was. He gave it 'As It Is.'

When I first arrived in Hrsikesh Srila Prabhupada was having his darshan. I was standing at the door with some Prasadam sweets to give to the guests as they left. Srila Prabhupada saw a man waiting outside the screen door and told me to let him in. As I opened the door to let him in another person left the room at the same time. Srila Prabhupada asked me if I had given the man that left some Prasadam.

I said I couldn't because they crossed paths. He looked over to his Secretary TKG, and said, “This boy is incompetent.” The secretary then told me to go downstairs and he would talk to me later. I was devastated! I had given my all to serve Srila Prabhupada and now I had displeased him and was rejected. I thought that my chance to serve him was over.

I waded out into the Ganges and thought of drowning myself since I had been rejected by my guru. I thought of my first spiritual mentor Visnujana Swami and thought I could attone for my incompetence by following Visnujana Swami's example. As I was contemplating like that Tamal KG came down to the rivers edge and told me not to take it so seriously. He told me to go up and clean Srila Prabhupada's room. I was elated to know that I was going to get another chance to serve Srila Prabhupada.

Still feeling ashamed I started to sweep the floor. Srila Prabhupada was sitting behind his coffee table. When I looked over at him he smiled real nice at me. I was surprised and delighted and all my anxiety left me immediately. Then I smiled and happily went back to cleaning the house. The spiritual master never chastises us more than we can take, but that time it was close.

Srila Prabhupada also taught us each how to cook a basic meal of rice, dahl, subji and chapatis. The mercy of Srila Prabhupada was flowing like the Ganges and it still is!

Things were ecstatic in Hrisikesh, until that night when Srila Prabhupada first told us that he was going to leave his body. All of the sudden the great weather turned stormy with thunder and lightening. The power was going off and on all night long. At about 2:30am Upendra Prabhu came downstairs and woke us up and told us that Srila Prabhupada had been sitting up all night, and had just said that he was going to leave the planet! Srila Prabhupada said: "Tomorrow we will go to Vrindavan; better to die in Vrindavan."

We were all shocked! We knew Srila Prabhupada was sick but didn't think it was that serious; we thought and hoped he would recover. Pradyumna Prabhu and I were sent ahead to Vrindavan to make arrangements for Srila Prabhupada's arrival. We arrived in Vrindavan from Hrishikesh at about 4am the next day. We informed the temple President, Akshayananda Maharaja, of Srila Prabhupada’s statement that he was coming to Vrindavan to ‘leave his body’.

The Maharaja didn’t tell the devotees right away why Srila Prabhupada was coming, just that he was coming and he asked the devotees to clean Srila Prabhupada's quarters. The Holy dust of Vrindavan had blown all around.

Srila Prabhupada arrived at the temple at about 7am. At this point Srila Prabhupada’s health had deteriorated so much that he could no longer walk on his own. The devotees in Vrindavan, and around the world, were unaware of how serious it was. We brought a rocking chair out to the car to carry Srila Prabhupada. He asked to see the Deities first. We carried him into the temple room in front of Sri Sri Gaura–Nitai's alter.

Srila Prabhupada stood up offering his respectful obeisance's to Their Lordships. At that point someone took the chair away probably thinking he would walk the rest of the way. Srila Prabhupada stood there gazing at Sri Sri Goura-Nitai for a few moments as tears gliding down his cheeks. Then he moved back to sit in the chair and we had to catch him. The devotees looked at each other with grave concern.

The chair was brought back and we carried Srila Prabhupada over to Sri Sri Krishna and Balarama. Again Srila Prabhupada stood up with tears in his eyes as he gazed at Their Lordships with love and devotion. We then went over to Sri Sri Radha Symasundara and Sri Lalita and Sri Visaka's alter. Again Srila Prabhupada rose up and gazed lovingly at the Deities with tears in his eyes. After a few moments he turned to us and said that he wanted to see all of the devotees in his room.

We carried Srila Prabhupada in the chair to his room and he took his seat at his desk. The devotees filled the room quickly and were crowded around the doors and windows trying to see and hear our divine spiritual master. When all the devotees settled in as much as possible Srila Prabhupada, looking very serious said,

"So I cannot speak. I am feeling weak. I was to go to other places like Chandigarh, but I canceled the program because the condition of my health is very deteriorating. So I preferred to come to Vrindavan. If death takes place, let it take here. So there is nothing new to be said. Whatever I have to speak, I have spoken in my books. Now you try to understand it and continue your endeavor. Whether I am present or not present, it doesn't matter. As Krsna is living eternally, similarly, the living being also lives eternally. But kirtiryasya sa jivah: 'One who has done service for the Lord lives forever.' So you have been taught to serve Krsna, and with Krsna we'll live eternally. Our life is eternal. Na hanyate hanyamane sarire. A temporary disappearance of this body, it doesn't matter. Body is meant for disappearance. Tatha dehantara-praptih. So live forever by serving Krsna. Thank you very much." (RC May 17, 1977)

At that point most of the devotees were crying. To me it still hadn't really sunk in yet that Srila Prabhupada was about to leave us physically. Philosophically we understood that Srila Prabhupada would live with us in his books etc. but we would so miss his physical presence.

Serving Srila Prabhupada personally in Bombay, Hrishikesh and Vrindavan were the best days of my life. Those days were numbered and unfortunately ran out. I had entered India on a three month tourist visa. I had received a three month extension already when I applied for another. It was denied. I considered just staying past my expiration date so I could remain with His Divine Grace who I knew was leaving the planet soon as he already said.

I decided it would be better to go back to America and get another visa and then return. It was one of the hardest decisions I've had to make; leaving Srila Prabhupada's precious personal association. Srila Prabhupada always told us to follow the law; so I did. I had packed my belongings and had it loaded onto a horse drawn cart for my trip to the Mathura train station. I went to offer my obeisance's to Tamal Krishna Maharaja in the front reception room before leaving. He told me I couldn't leave without saying goodbye to Srila Prabhupada.

I said Srila Prabhupada knows everything and I didn't want to bother him. Tamal said to wait a minute and he entered Srila Prabhupada's main room. A moment later he stuck his head out of the door and told me to come in. This would be the last time I would see Srila Prabhupada before his divine departure for Goloka Vrindavan.

Upon entering Srila Prabhupada's room I offered my full dandavats. He was sitting behind his desk translating. Tamal K.G. said, "Here's Gauridasa Pandita, Srila Prabhupada; he has to go back to America now because his visa is expiring and the government wouldn't give him an extension." Srila Prabhupada looked at me with compassion and said, "Just see. I just train him up and the rascal government takes him away. Thank you very much for all of your service, you've been very sincere. You are welcome to be my personal servant anytime. So you go worship Radha Damodara and be happy."

I was ecstatic at the mercy of Srila Prabhupada, he said I could be his personal service anytime! I now had great hope and and I thanked Srila Prabhupada and offered my dandavats again and slowly backed out of his room. I paused at the door and took one last look at His Divine Grace and he nodded his head, like go ahead, it will be alright, then he continued to translate into his dictaphone. Writing his books was everything to Srila Prabhupada. And Krsna gave him the ability to do so day and night despite his deteriorating health.

I boarded the horse drawn cart and started my journey out of Vrindavan. The trip seemed to last forever as I lamented having to leave Srila Prabhupada's personal service and Sri Vrindavan Dhama. I became overwhelmed with emotion and memories of Srila Prabhupada and couldn't help getting very emotional and crying on the way out of Vrindavan to the Mathura Station and beyond.

After arriving in Gita-Nagari we got the news that Srila Prabhupada had decided to come to Gita- Nagari; to establish the Varna-ashrama system, so we were all ecstatic. The devotees were morose before, knowing that Srila Prabhupada was sick and maybe going to leave his body. Now we had renewed hope! The devotees were happy again and very enthusiastically preparing for Srila Prabhupada's arrival.

Devotees painted Srila Prabhupada's house and made all of the necessary arrangements. Seeing all of the renewed enthusiasm I wrote a letter to Srila Prabhupada who was in London at the time on his way to us in Gita-nagari. We got a response from his secretary, Tamal Krsna Maharaja, which Paramananda Prabhu, the temple president, read to all of the devotees since it was about Srila Prabhupada.

The letter started out, "I read your letter to Srila Prabhupada as I found it very poetic and an excellent description of Gita-Nagari. When I told Srila Prabhupada you had written the letter; he remembered you very fondly." I was ecstatic to hear that. I was glad to hear that Srila Prabhupada remembered me fondly, as I remember him fondly. Those were the best words I've ever heard!

Out of the whole four months I served him, I only talked to him once in awhile. This was because right in the beginning of my service in Bombay, Srila Prabhupada said that the proper etiquette for the servant was to not talk to the spiritual master unless the spiritual master spoke first. He complained about some of the Indian life members who were too talkative and familiar with him at times. So from then on I didn't say much, but listened as much as possible.

Srila Prabhupada decided to return to Vrindavan from London. I wrote a letter and got permission to return to resume my service. I had to train up a new pujari before leaving Gita-Nagari first though. He turned out to be Radha Damodara Dasa! It took two weeks to train him up properly. The day he took over completely, I had chanted my japa outside the curtains, circumambulating Tulasi Devi and Srila Prabhupada on the Vyasasana. During that time we got a call from India, that Srila Prabhupada may be leaving his body soon.

Then we got a call a little later confirming that he had indeed made his divine departure for Krsna Loka. His last words were Hare Krsna. I sensed something special was going on during my japa, as it was. Actually I didn't want to see that particular pastime. I thank Krsna for saving me from that. I know that Srila Prabhupada is as present as ever, for me now, and everyone who takes shelter of him.

Srila Prabhupada was sent by Krsna to show us the way back home. That's why he wrote his books most of the night and part of the days; to save us and future generations in this Golden Age of Lord Chaitanya.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada who lives on in his books, teachings Murti’s and pictures!

Glories to all of his followers, past, present and future!

He reasons ill Who says
that Vaisnavas die
When thou art living
still in sound
The Vaisnava dies to live!
And living tries
To spread the Holy Names around.
Hoping this meets you all well,
Your eternal servant,

Scotland ISKCON Cow Care Project / New Talavan

 https://cowcare.scot/

PADA: It is a very good idea, and we hope that the current management is more "Prabhupada centered" than some of the previous lot there in Scotland. We posted some really bizarre stories of mis-managing there some years ago, and we hope that a saner group is gradually taking the helm. If they have a current "position paper" on their idea of how "guru tattva" should be implemented, we'd like to see it.

I also heard that New Talavan got rid of their former temple president (Gadi dasa) who was claiming to be an acharya, and he has moved away from the farm. Another nut bag who thinks he can absorb sins like Jesus. Nope!

Unfortunately, Gadi's name still appears as a contact on their site, and no explanation of what happened -- or why -- has been given. Someone from there simply "expected" that I would know all sorts of changes have been made there, when there is no public info on the alleged changes -- that I can find. Nor did anyone send me any detailed explanation.

Again, what is their guru tattva position at present?

Anyway, we wish these programs well, and we hope they will have success eventually. But unless there is proper guru tattva, instead of Bhakti Vikas swami's never ending fireballs of jumbo jet "gurus" crashing and burning up the passengers left, right and center, progress will be stunted. If anyone has updates or ideas on these projects they would like published send to:

Shanka Prabhu Leaves His Body

Hare Krishna. Shanka Prabhu has left us to continue his eternal service to Srila Prabhupada while listening to Kirtan, holding his beads. He was very kind soul. He put his hand on my head last week & said I am like your father. It was my second time over at Damayanti’s home to serve him. He did not know me that much. But what a sweet way to put someone at ease!

On 15th October, I was wearing this Radharani Maha bracelet, he took it from me and said Radharani was calling him! He absolutely did not bother to ask for permission to take it! Such a simple heart filled with Radharani’s love and her potency to feed 100,000+ plates of Prasadam! He cooked for 50 years! He recently said he wants to go, start a garden for Prabhupada. He was always happy, and enjoying life to the very end. I have not seen anyone like him! May Krishna bless us with a fragment of that pure heart he had!

🙏🏼

[PADA: There are a number of simple souls who came to ISKCON to serve Krishna, and unfortunately many / most of them got exiled from the official mission one way or other by machination tricks from the leaders. A lot of them just could not deal with the heavy handed GBC process -- so they sort of kept a low profile and tried to do some simple, low key service -- on the side.

I understand that. Similar things happened in the Gaudiya Matha, many of the simple servant type folks just went out and tried to continue their Krishna consciousness as best they could -- with or without the official mission. It is an ongoing problem now that many of these simple soul devotees types are getting quite elderly -- and they don't have much of a health care fund, helpers or assistance, or sometimes even basic housing facility -- in their ripe old age.

And Krishna certainly knows that -- they came to serve Him and their situation got hijacked or dismantled. Anyway, I really don't know who this prabhu is, but we wish him well. God speed spirit soul! ys pd]

ISKCON Ignores Lokanath's Committee Deadline

For comments, corrections, additional info -- send to:

 angel108b@yahoo.com

LETTER TO LOKANATH CASE AD HOC PANEL MEMBERS

Hare Krishna Tamohara, Champakalata, Navin Shyam, Bhaktarupa, and Mahaman Prabhus,

As it is November 4th, and your examination of Lokanath's child molestation case started on August 25th, I imagine you are well on your way into looking at all aspects of the case, especially considering the panel was supposed to meet for 60 days. That point passed on October 24th, 11 days ago.

As has been stated repeatedly by myself and others, in ISKCON's own laws and mandates - the child abuse portion of the case should be handled by the ISKCON Child Protection Office. Any alleged abuse, past or present, goes to the CPO - whether it has been previously handled by other parties or not.

The CPO is the last stop within ISKCON to look at a child abuse case, and they decide what restrictions are placed on the child abuser. No offense, but it really should not be your unprecedented GBC-appointed Ad Hoc Panel, who will be reporting to the GBC with your findings. It should be the independent Child Protection Office.

Anuttama Prabhu said in a 2016 ISKCON News article:

"Just as the judiciary is an independent organ of the government yet is established and maintained by the government, the CPO is an independent function within ISKCON, with overall policies established by the GBC. This is good, reasonable, and balanced governance."

Regarding the mishandling and cover-up of the Lokanath case over the last 30 years, this portion may be examined by non-CPO parties.  The mishandling of the case is beyond the scope of the CPO. That is something your Ad Hoc Panel can do, and is part of your mandate.

If you have not already, I encourage you to please contact:

DHIRA GOVINDA and IJYA - They can answer the question "Why did the GBC not let the Child Protection Office handle the Lokanath case when the CPO was formed?"  They started the ISKCON Child Protection Office in 1998, and directed it for six years.

(I suggested to Navin Shyam in July that you all speak with Dhira Govinda as he is a crucial person in why the GBC blocked the CPO from looking into this case.)

Dhira Govinda said the stock answer was “Well, we already dealt with this case years before the formation of the Child Protection Office (1998).”

But there is also this whole thing with Dhira Govinda simply asking for the Lokanath case report, or document, to share with interested and concerned persons, and the GBC hemming and hawing, dodging, evading, deceiving, doing everything, except providing any sort of official document that the CPO could share with others - and this went on for years and years.

Even if it's true that ISKCON leadership had already handled the Lokanath case prior to the establishment of the CPO in 1998, ISKCON leadership had already dealt with many cases of alleged and confirmed child maltreatment.

And, for NONE of those cases did the GBC direct the CPO, “Hands off…don’t touch this case…..” For example, as described in Report on the Bhaktivedanta Gurukula Village (April 1999), in 1991 -  Tosan Krsna, Adikarta, Bhaktarupa, and Dayarama Prabhus investigated and handled many cases of alleged and confirmed child abuse related to ISKCON Mayapur. “Many cases”- meaning, many perpetrators, and dozens of victims, and hundreds of incidents of child maltreatment.

Dhira Govinda said, "I state categorically that the efforts of Dayarama, Tosan Krsna, Adikarta, and Bhaktarupa, were at an exponentially higher level, in terms of competence and professional integrity, than the efforts of ISKCON leadership to deal with the case of Lokanatha Maharaja, pre-1998. So, then, how come the CPO didn’t receive directives from the GBC to not touch any amongst the many cases handled by Bhaktarupa, Adikarta, Dayarama and Tosan Krsna?"

CHAMPAKALATA - Ask her what her role or non-role was as CPO Director during 2010-2011 when Satya wrote her public statements, followed by Lokanath writing his admission letter, and Lokanath being brought in front of the GBC in a plenary session to acknowledge his abuse.

LILASUKA - Ask her about her role as the North American CPO Director while having Lokanath, a confirmed child abuser, lead a North American tour in 2019, headlining kirtan festivals, and doing initiations in temple rooms, while she had her hands tied behind her back, unable to say anything because as Dhira Govinda mentioned above - there was no official report or document from the ISKCON Child Protection Office placing restrictions on this confirmed child abuser.

KAMLESH KRISHNA and GANDHARVIKA - The current International CPO Directors who were given the Lokanath child molestation case in May 2021, and then had it taken away 5 days later, secretly, with no explanation or justification, can share their experience of being blocked by the GBC, and share why it's important that the Lokanath case be handled by the CPO, and what sort of ill precedent will occur if this does not happen.

If you have not already, I strongly encourage you to procure the full CAP Behavior Associates evaluation of Lokanath, which includes the victim report compiled by Yasoda (Diane Priolo).  Bir Krishna Goswami should have this, also possibly Badrinarayan Swami, Yasoda, Ravindra Svarupa, and Mukunda Goswami.

Your recommendation should be to hand the Lokanath abuse case back to the CPO (because that's why they were formed - by the GBC - to do). The scope of this GBC-appointed Ad Hoc Panel should be to do what the CPO can't. Your Panel should focus on cataloging the history of the GBC's involvement in Lokanath's child molestation case over the past 31 years, what went wrong, what went right, along with advice on how the GBC can learn from this and improve their processes and procedures in the future.

Please let me know if you have any questions about this case.  I have studied it in depth for 6 months.  I have looked at the documents available - multiple times - studied them, written about them, explained them to people, and have spoken with many parties involved in the case.  Please let me know if you have any questions whatsoever - where to find something, what something means, etc.  I am at your service.

Yours truly,

S Dasi

ME Dasi: Once again, your letter summarizes the main issues succinctly. I hope the panel will take your advice with respect to the questions that urgently need to be asked.

PT Dasa: ISKCON is finished because the powerful ICC doesn't respect the GBC or the GBC panel. Even though it's obvious that Lokanath Swami shouldn't be a guru, the GBC panel won't dare to go against the ICC!

KD Dasi:

Why is this case important?

The GBC has taken extra-judicial action, defending and covering up child abuse for over 30 years, rather than acting as mandated reporters of child abuse, circumventing the law and their own Child Protection policies and practicing de facto "qualified immunity" for Sannyasis to abuse children in ISKCON.

According to ISKCON resolutions and policy, this case should be reviewed by the Child Protection Office, not an illegitimate ad hoc panel that will set further precedent for their permission for Sannyasis to abuse children.

This case UNDERMINES ALL CHILD PROTECTION ENDEAVORS OF THE LAST 3 DECADES! Allowing sannyasis to abuse children with impunity deteriorates the sannyas ashram and Srila Prabhupada's legacy.

This is important for the PROTECTION OF ALL CHILDREN.

Diwali Creates Record Polluted Air in Delhi

 https://www.yahoo.com/news/partys-over-diwali-leaves-delhi-041746890.html

[PADA: I really don't understand the whole fire crackers thing. It makes a hell of a racket and frightens animals and babies. It seems like a very cheap way of making a meaningful festival. It is like so many things in India, a sort of show bottle with very little substance -- or thought -- behind the real meanings of the various so-called Hindu traditions.

And worse, they already know the fire crackers makes the air quality -- even worse, and then everyone suffers. As Srila Prabhupada says, India has become a place of sentimentalism and they are drifting away from Vedic culture towards a Western-ized lifestyle. They blow off some fire crackers, then the mad rush to get on crowded trains and busses to get their jobs in the city starts off the next day. Very sad state of affairs. Of course there are some sincere folks there, but it seems the larger majority is drifting off the Vedic reservation... ys pd]

Discussion: ISKCON And Polygamy

[PADA: A few interesting points. Some "senior Prabhupada men" -- sometimes middle aged -- were "hitting on" much younger female devotees. In some cases these men were already married, or they had been married previously and divorced. Meanwhile, some of these "seniors" were promoting polygamy, knowing that Srila Prabhupada had said it is illegal -- and we cannot allow it.

And there has been a pattern of younger females being married off to older men in places like New Vrndavana. In other words, various "senior devotees" have been using their positions as "respected senior Prabhupada disciples" to exploit the ladies, often younger than themselves. And these senior devotees generally had to "go along to get along" with the GBC's guru process after 1978 in order to have this "female acquiring" (exploiting) situation.

And a number of the other "senior Prabhupada devotees" knew this odious exploiting situation was going on -- in and around ISKCON -- and they did not ring the alarm, protest, or try to check this exploiting process. For example, one guru was "dating" a young female, and really, nothing substantial was done to correct this.

So all of this is part of the whole overall situation of "senior Prabhupada devotees" using their positions to exploit others, either as gurus, or as a means of picking up younger women for affairs, marriages and -- increased sex life in general. And this lack of -- containing -- the exploiting was being spread to exploiting the children. In other words -- a loose goose if not exploiting atmosphere was being generated -- and it was spreading / filtering into many other areas of the society, including to the children.

I have heard many other reports of younger women getting pressured into having relations with some "senior devotees, so it does look like this was known to be going on by a large group of folks. And as we see below, nothing much was ever done to correct this process. OK so a lot of the senior devotees are responsible for either commission or omission of generating this problem. In the end, Srila Prabhupada said polygamy is illegal and we cannot do it. ys pd]

S Dasi: I was chatting with a friend and this story came up. When I was 17 I lived in the brahmacharini ashram at the Detroit temple. While I was living there, the temple needed tech help from the original team that installed the FATE museum, so they had one of the original guys come to work on it. He was a middle-aged guy with a wife and three kids. The temple had the family stay in the ladies ashram, where I lived. It was a 3-bedroom house with the living room converted into a bedroom.

This man was also one of the main proponents of polygamy in ISKCON. I was kind to his children, and I guess he took that as a sign I wanted to be his second wife, and wrote me a 10-page letter saying that I should marry him. He commented on how I got along with his children so nicely. Did I mention I was engaged at the time? He also told me that my fiance was not good enough for me as he was not initiated. (By his logic, I was not good enough either as I was not initiated.)

At the time, I showed this letter to my dad who was living in the community. My dad told me recently he had strong words with this man, and I believe he still has the letter.

KE: I’m completely 100% in support of polygamy for those who choose it. but this is a perfect example of how toxic so many men who make that choice truly are.

SD: I am only as supportive as I am of polyandry.

KE: I’m equally supportive of both. I don’t care what other people choose to do with their private life, so long as it’s truly a choice and they’re not causing harm. Because some women make that choice for themselves, for various reasons and I’m not going to police other peoples personal lives? They’re no more hurting the world than anyone else having kids. but polygamy doesn’t require children anyway.

Modern polygamy looks quite different to what you’re talking about, which we traditionally see in fundamentalist mormon families.

S Dasi: It’s illegal in the United States.

KD: Not in Utah.

SD: Sorry, it's *illegal* in Utah. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Actually, I think Utah prosecuted more than it's neighboring states which is why it's more common in those ones.

KD: That was a joke.

KE: There are plenty of polygamists who are not affiliated with mormonism or any other religion. I said i’m in support of it, not that i have any desire to practice it. i think many marriage laws are stupid and based on Christian morals.

ME: Since May, 2020 Utah no longer considers it a felony, only an infraction, which is apparently about the same as a traffic ticket.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/13/us/utah-bigamy-law.html

Utah Lowers Penalty for Polygamy, No Longer a Felony (Published 2020)

NYTIMES.COM

S Dasi: So, does one keep getting infractions until one gets divorced from the polygamous marriage?

ME: I have no idea, but my guess is that enforcement is not a priority unless someone reports it. The state still prohibits someone from having two valid marriage licences at the same time. Also, it's still a felony if there's any force or coercion. (according to the article)

KE: Age of consent laws exist outside of marriage laws, these are also two different things. There are crap parents everywhere, every religion, every country, every lifestyle. i don’t even know why i’m saying this though. it’s incredibly obvious.

SS: Such egos some of these men have. Trade in the old wife and get a nice young one. Just like the melecchas and no one says anything. DISGUSTING.

VD: I know that person!

S Dasi: Yep.

B Dasa: The second wife has to be approved by the first wife, silly. Leave out all the rules in the Varna Ashrama system.

S Dasi: The first wife did not seem into it. I don’t blame her.

B Dasa: Makes sense. The purpose of multiple wives is to protect the woman and to propogate saintly children and a saintly family life. In the modern age most can't even maintain one wife properly. Stick with one, and if the guru instructs it and all the rules are followed you can take another. But the many wives are not for gratifying the male ego.

I'm not a part of ISKCON so I agree a lot of gurus are fake there, clearly from the Shastra the women are protected and seen as a form of God. All that other stuff is your own projection, the woman is to be protected at all costs, she has the right to a God seeking life if she is sincere about that path. I raised the most beautiful angel of a girl who loved God with all her heart, from experience these kids are going to be the saving grace of our earth. I think you take me the wrong way in my sentiments. Krishna is very clear in Uddhava Gita how to protect woman and children.

ISKCON may be far from the Shastric conclusion but it's still a pure and real thing. My guru is from the Rudra Sampradaya and is the most pure soul I've ever encountered. I can't speak on any others. Please be careful of strawmaning on a topic such as Shastra and its conclusions on life, it may give people the wrong idea.

MM: Sorry not sorry but so disgusting.

S Dasi: I felt pretty uncomfortable living in the same house with them after that.

MM: OMG, that’s just on another level of audacity! Sorry you have to go through that.

BW Dasa: Ah the old Iskcon pickup line #12. “Prabhu, I’m initiated care to become my second wife?”

BB Dasi: "I am a Prabhupada disciple care to ...."

MM Dasi: When I was a teenager in vrndavana the Prabhupada disciple thing was a real thing. They were all in their 50s and we were all 18 or 19. One of my friends once pretended that she only spoke Russian to stop a "Prabhupada disciple" hitting on her. (She is Canadian and we blew her cover by coming up and speaking English to her in the middle of it).

S Dasi: He *was* a Prabhupada disciple.

BB Dasi: How'd I guess?

VK Devi Dasi: Living in the brahmacarini ashram was like being on display in a shop window ….. dysfunctional males both married and not take it as an opportunity to do their twisted relationships shopping on you ….. defs can relate to this post.

S Dasi: Sounds like you’ve thought about this topic for a while.

B Dasa: The Bhagavad Gita is not a metaphor. The accounts from Shastra actually happened as they are described. Please stop talking about the Vedic teachings in this way. Yes there are many pretenders in the spiritual school as a result of this fallen age, that is not the fault of Shastra.

ASD: Jai Prabhupada !!! Hmmmm .........

AL Dasi: I have read that there is a correlation between communities that support polygamy and child abuse. There was another article that talks about the increase risk factors in polygamous marriages. Still looking for the first article, but here is the second.

https://link.springer.com/.../10.1023/A:1020925123016.pdf

It seems to also point to the idea that the cultural reasoning for polygamy is important. I just don’t believe that our culture (and the intentions of the those in it) support a model of polygamy that is healthy for women and children. The purpose has to extend outside of personal desire and sense gratification for it not to take a toll on the children caught in it.

I’m glad your dad shared his mind with the guy.

AC Dasi: Very interesting point. i was a child bride in a polygamous so called marriage. Today we'd call it human trafficking. Wild times! lol!

AL Dasi: I’m sorry you experienced that. You should not have had to.

S Dasi: Terrible!

AC Dasi: Sorry guys, i wasn't trying to make anyone sad, it just suddenly struck me how accurate that was.

AJ Dasi: Oh yes I remember this.

S Dasi: You’ve had some unusual proposals yourself.

AJ Dasi: Yep!

AC Dasi: What is it with these old "Prabhupada" guys that think teenagers will be interested in them?

TB Dasa: The polygamous people in ISKCON just want to have more sex with more women from what I've noticed. None of them are Kshatriyas or Brahmanas truly.

AS Dasa: LOL !!!

B Dasa: Agreed, most are not. The sincere ones usually leave.

MM: So gross. They think far too much of themselves... Why would a 17 year old want to hook up with a middle aged man with a wife and kids? Clearly lacking in capacity for critical thought

S Dasi: And I was engaged to another man! He wanted me to break off my engagement so he could "protect" me.

MM: Narcissist.

AC Dasi: And he couldn't even take good care of the wife he already had!

PADA: Yep, when we helped with the Windle Turley lawsuit several young ladies later on wrote to me -- thanks a lot! This lawsuit forced my parents to leave ISKCON. And that saved me from being a victim of my parents plans -- of arranging to get me married to a much older man. Some of these old men were already previously married and divorced. One of these ladies told me -- she was going to commit suicide if that process had gone forward. ISKCON as an overall society has had a pretty free wheeling attitude on a lot of these issues. Of course, a number of those of us who were only married once, got booted out ... ys pd

DS Dasa: I've always observed older lusty "devotee" men giving way too much attention to younger ladies, both temple matajis and even college students visiting the temple. The men's infatuation is sickeningly visible on plain sight, yet no temple authority notices or intervenes with the blatant sniffing.

BB Dasi: Just to clarify, in general I don't ethically have a problem with polyamory. But for cloistered youth in a New Religious movement, I think the risk is way too high for it to be unhealthy and exploitive. Especially in a sex negative environment.

B Das: Well put.

AL Dasi: This is not polyamory. Polyamory is when all the people involved have the freedom to engage in a relationship outside of their primary relationship. Do you really think that this dude's wife was allowed to seek attention and sensuality elsewhere? I mean...come on!

PD: Disgusting to say the least at all levels...

KD: Lust in action!

DK Das: Some people even sanyasis get stuck in ahamgra upasana instead of Krishna service. They thing all should serve them because they are pure devotees. It's how they get cheated maya.

K Dasi: Remember also that devotee from Indiana whose name I can't remember was so chasing you for a wife and you were just a kid. He was telling everyone he was going to marry you. Creepy!

India's Fertilizer Shortage: Worldwide Problem (VIDEO)

[PADA: I am not sure how bad this current mess really is, but it is self evident that the artificial fertilizing, insecticides, and factory level agriculture "machine farming" process cannot last forever. Never mind floods, droughts, soil depletion, and natural problems are increasing. At the same time -- oil prices are rising, and the modern farming process requires lots of it. At the same time America's bread basket, i.e. California's central valley, is experiencing a severe water shortage crisis.

So there will eventually be some sort of global food crisis, whether sooner or later. Of course many nations are already in a food supply crisis. Yes, Srila Prabhupada said this would happen and we need our own farms.

Anyway this might be something to ponder. ys pd]

Fund Raising for Rajendranandana (Bahushira das ACBS)

Rajendranandana with the founder father of:
The illicit sex with men, women, children, taxi drivers, and cats
and "Auschwitz for kids"
"guru sampradaya"

https://www.gofundme.com/f/financial-assistance-for-rajendranandana-prabhu?

Hare Krsna,

Please accept my most humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabupada.

I am humbly asking to the Vaishnavas around the world for your assistance. Rajendranandana Prabhu has been my best friend for decades and when his dearest wife Catura notified me about his 4th stage cancer diagnosis recently, I thought of GoFundMe to raise laxmi for his funeral services and financial support for his family.

Rajendranandana Prabhu’s life has been devoted to serve Srila Prabhupada’s mission with enthusiasm and loving attitude. He joined ISKCON in 1973 in Dallas, Texas, and took formal initiation from Srila Prabhupada in 1974. He rendered service there as a Gurukula Teacher and took care of the children nicely and lovingly. Later on, he married Mother Catura in 1985 in San Francisco and their son Aja was born in 1989.

He became temple president of San Diego and Hawaii. He traveled all over India and lived in Vrindavana. In 2003, he started visiting Mayapur for several months out of the year and his service was to preach in different departments with a very serious and strong devotional attitude. He is very well known in Mayapur Chandradoya Mandir as a faithful servant of Srila Prabhupada and kind to other Vaishnavas.

Once, Jananivas Prabhu, Head Pujari in Mayapur, described him as a “very soft heartened soul and a gem”. When Rajendranandana Prabhu heard H.H Jaya Pataka Maharaja saying that everyone should come to Parikrama every year, he took this to his heart and soul and never missed it. Maharaja described him as a devotee with “Deep, deep, deep spiritual realizations”.

[PADA: Yep, when the founder father of the pedophile messiah's project makes a request, we all have to jump up and follow that person -- while the children in their program are suffering from beating, starving, molesting and in sum "Auschwitz for kids." Why are we following / promoting the leaders of their anal reconstructive surgery of children epidemic / child raping messiahs project?

And if a person has deep, deep, deep spiritual realization, why would he participate in, never mind promote, such a process, or the leaders of such a process? These goody two shoes guys (OK Rajendranandana) have tried to paint a happy face on Satan, so the kids will be attracted. How is that helping?

ISKCON's RONALD Mc DONALDS?

One victim said these Rajendranandana goody two shoes types are like the Ronald Mc Donald "happy meal" guy, he attracts and brings in the kids to the hamburger stand, and then the kids are eating hamburgers. Or in ISKCON, the kids are being assaulted. So he is helping bring in the kids, and Sulochana says -- then the kids are being tossed into a wood chipper ... OK so then they are implicated in the karma of tossing these children into their wood chipper.]

Important to note that he never missed a day chanting the prescribed rounds in his initiated life as a Bhakta of Krsna.

[PADA: No amount of chanting will compensate for promoting the worship of pedophiles as God's successors. We cannot perform sins on the strength of the chanting. That is why shastra says you can chant for hundreds of lifetimes and make no progress, because you have to follow the whole process. Promoting a sexual predator guru program is not the process, and never has been.]

He took Vanaprastha and Mother Catura fully supported him in any way to make his preaching efforts a success. Both have lived a very simple life with austerities and never deviated from performing devotional services anywhere they have lived.

Raj, as we lovingly call him said, ”Whatever Krsna and Srila Prabhupada want for me, I think this a very ‘Loving ticket’ for me and I consider myself a lover of Srila Prabhupada”.

[PADA: What "Prabhupada wants" is for you to defend the ISKCON citizens from their child raping, and devotee banning, beating, molesting, suing and assassinating society. And that is also what the victims tell me they wanted you goody two shoes folks to be doing as well, defend the citizens and not the oppressors of the citizens.]

Dear Vaishnavas, your financial contribution will also enable Mother Catura and their son Aja to be able to stay on their feet during this hardship and very delicate transition.

Your ever Servant,
Bahushira Dasa, ACBSP

[PADA: Yep, after being a faithful slave to the molester messiah's project, now he has to scramble to get some funds -- while Jayapataka's people wrote insults to me to complain that PADA's assisting the child molesting lawsuit, Bangalore and BBTI lawsuits, police SWAT raids etc. has cost the GBC $100,000,000.

So why is there no money in hand for the faithful servants? We serve the anal reconstructive surgery epidemic child raper guru program faithfully -- evidently free of charge -- and they don't even help us when we are dying or dead? We served them -- free of charge? We volunteered?

And HKC Jaipur's thug Prahlad says the followers of his child raping guru empire are "innocent." Nope, everyone is implicated in what and whom they serve. And just look at the state of Jayapataka, Rajendranandana encouraged him to take karma, and in this way Rajendranandana is -- killing Jayapataka slowly  and painfully, in addition to their co-causing Auschwitz for kids.

Then people wonder why -- there are so many cancer cases. ys pd]

Wow, Rajendranandana thinks:
we should be giving this guy
boatloads of karma.
He is killing this guy.
And misleading the world that this guy
is another Jesus who can take sins.
He cannot even fix his own sins, never mind others.

ISKCON / Sivarama Swami / Karma / Virus / Cancer

 IRM

Back To Prabhupada, Issue 44, Summer 2014

The Bhagavad-gita teaches that false prestige is a demoniac quality:

"The demoniac, taking shelter of insatiable lust, pride and false prestige, and being thus illusioned, are always sworn to unclean work, attracted by the impermanent." (Bg., 16.10)

Thus, even the GBC demands that a person be free from false prestige in order to become one of their voted-in gurus:

"4. Must be free from the following undesirable qualities: [...]

b. Pratistha, false prestige and personal ambition".

(GBC Resolution 308, 2010, Mandatory qualification for diksa guru approval)

However, as we shall now demonstrate, the GBC's guru system is actually based on the concept of false prestige. All emphases below are added.

Conditioned gurus

As we have copiously documented, ISKCON's unauthorised guru successors are continually facing spiritual problems. To rationalise such errant behaviour, ISKCON guru and GBC member, HH Sivarama Swami ("SRS"), explains that this is because the guru can be a conditioned soul, subject to karma, and an offender:

"I think there are two circumstances in which we do see spiritual masters getting affected by accepting disciples. First, when the spiritual master is a conditioned soul he has his own anarthas to deal with, and those anarthas certainly don't diminish his own spiritual practices, but they cloud them."

(SRS Podcast, 4/4/14)

[PADA: Accepting disciples (and their sins) does not diminish the guru's practices, but clouds the guru's practices. What? No. A cloud diminishes the sun rays and makes it less sunshine. The cloud covers, obscures, reduces, but does not -- diminish -- the suns rays? Super contrary mumbo jumbo. Of course this means, the GBC are voting in people with anarthas as their gurus. The "guru" who takes sins without qualification will get sick, fall down, or both, or even die.

In short (A) The guru is taking sins from disciples, (B) and this may not diminish his practice, but (C) it may cloud his practice. Word juggling? A neophyte cannot absorb the sins of another neophyte, and if they try to make this arrangement artificially, both go to hell (at least so says shastra).]

"[...] when a spiritual master accepts a disciple he accepts the karma of the disciple. Now let's be clear about that, that the spiritual master doesn't accept 100% of a disciple's karma. I got enough problems with my own karma, what to speak of 100% of the karma of say 500 initiated disciples. [...] But the guru does accept some karma."

(SRS Podcast, 4/4/14)

[PADA: Wait! I am taking the sins of others, maybe 500 others, or maybe thousands of others, but I have enough trouble -- with my own sins? How can a sinful person absorb the sins of another sinful person? I am drowning, so let me have 500 more people hang onto me, and we all will drown together.

And!

The GBC guru does not accept 100% of the ISKCON disciples sins, but how much percent is he taking -- no one seems to know? The conditioned soul guru is struggling with his own sins, that means Sivarama is admitting ISKCON is voting in sinful people as their gurus. He is a guru, he can absorb sins like Jesus, but he is a sinful man himself -- who cannot absolve his own sins, never mind take other's sins. Then they cannot figure out why their system is dysfunctioning.]

Sivaram swami: "So when we are accepting other karma [of our disciples] the clouds become thicker, the anarthas become more stirred up and agitated."

[PADA: Right, the conditioned soul gurus are accepting the sins of others, and that is making their clouds of illusion thicker, making them more agitated, making them more dark -- and in sum -- making them more and more sinful.]

And the overall effect is that it does influence the spiritual life of the guru. The effect appears to be that the spiritual life of the guru diminishes because he's faced now with so much more of a challenge in order to fully benefit from the devotional activities that he performs."

(SRS Podcast, 4/4/14)

[PADA: A guru is a person who is transcendental, and he is not overcome by the material energy.]

"(Niranjana) Maharaja also elaborated on this yesterday, when accepting a disciple actually does diminish or even destroy your devotional creeper. And when is that? When the guru is an aparadhi. If he commits nama-aparadha then his spiritual creeper will be stunted."

(SRS Podcast, 4/4/14)

[PADA: OK so the GBC gurus are falling down left, right and center because they are nama aparadhis. Why is the GBC rubber stamping them as gurus? However, as soon as a neophyte takes the post of another Jesus he is already committing the sin of guru-aparadha, nama-aparadha etc. -- or taking the place of guru.]

Pretend they are pure

Thus, SRS has clearly explained that ISKCON gurus are very likely to be conditioned souls full of anarthas and karma. However, the system in ISKCON is that such gurus should always be treated as if they are pure devotees, regardless of their actual spiritual standing:

"Once having accepted a spiritual master of course, one does not go around with the consciousness that my spiritual master is a kanistha-adhikari or a madhyam-adhikari, but rather as is being stated here, quoting Mahanidhi Swami, that the disciple thinks 'saksad-haritvena samasta-sastrair': the spiritual master is as good as God.

Whatever the actual spiritual advancement of the spiritual master, but, for him to be worshiped as guru, guru means 'saksad-hari'. He has to receive the same respect that one would give to the Supreme Lord. And of course because the Supreme Lord is 'uttamasloka', therefore one would worship the spiritual master and deal with him in the same way as one would deal with a uttama-adhikari."

(SRS Podcast, 23/6/14)

"When a junior guru, spiritually junior guru, is sincere and strictly follows his spiritual master, the predecessor Acaryas and Krsna, doesn't deviate from the path of devotional service, then a devotee should worship that person as the Supreme Lord".

(SRS Podcast, 23/6/14)

"[...] there may be so many other types of personality traits or even lack of realization that may be there within a spiritual master. But still saksad-hari. Still he has to be treated as good as God, otherwise the process doesn't work."

(SRS Podcast, 11/1/09)

False honour = False prestige

Thus, SRS is clearly stating that ISKCON's guru system is based on:

a) Falsely accepting that a person is an uttama-adhikari (topmost devotee), regardless of his actual spiritual level. Srila Prabhupada states that this is the definition of false prestige:

"So these are the signs of false prestige. [...] The result is that I am accepting something which is false."

(Srila Prabhupada Lecture, 31/1/69)

b) Giving honour to personalities as though they are as good as the Supreme Lord, even though this is not their actual level of advancement, i.e. they are accorded a false honour. And this must be done because otherwise the "process doesn't work". But Srila Prabhupada has not taught that someone who may even be a kanistha-adhikari (neophyte) should be worshipped as good as God. Rather, he has stated that only those who are actually on the topmost level should be worshipped as being on the topmost level:

"When one has attained the topmost position of maha-bhagavata, he is to be accepted as a guru and worshiped exactly like Hari, the Personality of Godhead. Only such a person is eligible to occupy the post of a guru."

(Cc., Madhya-lila, 24.330)

Therefore, SRS is putting forward a false religious principle -- that those who are not maha-bhagavatas should be worshipped as if they are maha-bhagavatas -- so that through artificial means a false honour is created for them. Srila Prabhupada states that such behaviour is characteristic of the demoniac, induced by false prestige:

"Induced by pride and false prestige, they create some principles of religion which are not approved by the Vedic injunctions. Although such demoniac people are most abominable in the world, still, by artificial means, the world creates a false honor for them."

(Bg., 16.10)

Conclusion

The ISKCON guru system has institutionalised a system whereby dozens of ISKCON gurus and their thousands of disciples combine to generate false prestige. The system is, therefore, actually demoniac in nature.

=============================

PADA: Meanwhile a follower of Narayan Maharaja keeps sending me info on the alleged bogus science being used to prevent the virus from spreading. He says the prevention process is worse than the actual virus. And he wants me to post links to all sorts of alleged virus info sites.

[So! I said to him] -- Meanwhile one devotee lady recently died of cancer, a young mother, and another young mother has cancer and is critical condition. And thus, I am in fact reporting cancer devotee cases it seems every few days on my blog, with calls for prayers or for financial assistance -- or both -- including recently Locan and others. And I don't report all of them all the time -- so as not to make that the main theme.

That is because for starters, the ISKCON gurus are not taking people's karma, and thus the mass of devotees are sharing in the karma of these bad leaders, and it is having fatal results. This cancer process is a way worse problem for the Vaishnavas right now than the virus problem. Why are the devotees focused on the virus problem, which kills a few devotees here and there, whereas the cancer epidemic has been the biggest cause of death among devotees for over a decade.

Even Shivarama swami says their gurus are suffering from taking karma and the followers are not getting all their karma cleared because their gurus are not able to absorb these sins -- and the gurus are failing from taking karma -- whole thing is cheating. And the unresolved accumulated sins in and around the entire society -- is therefore -- killing people just for being around the epidemic.

And that is the result of GBC / Narayana Maharaja telling conditioned souls to give their karma to another conditioned soul, both of them go to hell. The disciples are not liberated, and the guru is not either, and then the disciples are getting cancer left, right and center and the gurus are falling left, right and center. NM's idea is making people suffer and die.

MD: This document is a serious warning to all. With lots of various sources included; not just claims, but direct evidence. Despite being so shocking, it's still fully realistic and very much informative. Kali-yuga is known to be a dark time, but it has an exceptionally dark hour just now. A must watch.

PADA: OK, except most devotees are not suffering from the virus problem, or the so-called various cures for that problem. Rather they are trending towards getting cancer, evidently because -- they have shared the evil karma of these evil gurus. And then cancer is their number one cause of death right now, as it has been for more than a decade.

For  example one young lady ex-kuli -- not yet 40 years old -- got serious levels of cancer, something is very wrong with that. And none of these "virus is the problem" people even mention the cancer issue, because they want to protect the GBC's and Narayana Maharaja's bogus program of having people sharing evil karma with bogus gurus, which is killing people self-evidently. There is a karma reaction to promoting or acquiescing with false gurus, again self-evident.

They never mention the real main cause of death for devotees, because they are protecting this karma sharing with evil process. The disciples are getting cancer because they are sharing evil karma with their evil gurus, no one ever mentions ... I know why ... they are promoting that evil system. Of course there are subsequent other deaths for the same reason, which are things like alcohol poison, drug overdose, suicide, and so on, but all related to the evil core problem.

MD: The real cause is extremely deadly poison in the virus cure, individual ignorance, tamogun of the people.

PADA: Devotees were already having a cancer epidemic before the virus emerged. Cancer is killing more of the devotees, not the virus issue. Every few days I post another cancer incident, very few virus incidents. Cancer problem is the real problem.

Narayana Maharaja got these people to give their karma to evil people and it  back fired. Narayan Maharaja is spreading lies that evil people can take karma, so I have posted maybe a hundred cancer stories just in 2021 alone. People are going to get bad karma for worshiping deviants, or for being in the shakti / karma of that society.

Even Jadurani is saying the ritviks are bogus, because we know conditioned souls are not gurus. Her program is creating a cancer epidemic -- for devotees. The idea that conditioned souls can take karma is destroying the perps and the victims, and many people associated with that evil process, which is why shastra says conditioned souls guru go to hell and so do the followers.

And that is why they are getting cancer and even NM got cancer, he was told by his guru not to initiate and take karma ... is it all catching up now. ys pd
