GITA BANNED IN FLORIDA

Florida Department of Correction has banned the Bhagavad-gita

A few months ago, inmates made us aware that the Florida Department of Corrections (FLDOC) has **banned the *Bhagavad-gītā*** from the list of books inmates are allowed to receive. This decision was made by the Literacy Review Committee (LRC), which cited "security reasons"—a justification that is as vague as it is troubling.

Some inmates speculate that the LRC concluded that the *Bhagavad-gītā*, having been spoken on a battlefield, might incite violence. Others believe that the LRC views the Sanskrit transliterations as potentially dangerous, interpreting them as coded messages. Whatever the rationale, **banning the *Gītā*** is a clear violation of the inmates’ religious rights. 

It is deeply distressing for them to be barred from reading this most sacred scripture—sung by the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself and explained by His pure devotee. Thankfully, two devotee lawyers in Florida—**Amarendra Prabhu** and **Balavanta Prabhu**—have generously volunteered their time to take up this case with the FLDOC. 

I am extremely grateful to both of them and remain very optimistic that, by **Kṛṣṇa’s grace**, justice will prevail. An inmate has courageously agreed to act as the plaintiff in this case, knowingly taking on the risk of harassment by guards and other prison authorities. **Please pray to Kṛṣṇa to protect him and for the successful outcome of this battle.**

This is exactly the kind of battle **Śrīla Prabhupāda** would urge us to take on—with great enthusiasm and a *kṣatriya* spirit. I will keep you updated on any developments in the next issue of **IPM NEWS**. Please pray for this litigation to be swift and decisive.

JC: Lots of devotees in Alachua Florida are Desantis followers. They have no idea ... the "religious right" will ban practicing the Krishna religion if they can. The Christian Nationalists are not friends of other religions. Most devotees just don't get it. Naive.

Now ... some of those same Alachua devotees are finding out their little business of importing goods has costs go way up with tariffs. They are losing out $$$ on that end. These devotees are always voting against their own interests, as they supported ISKCON's bogus leaders ... who also destroyed them in many ways. They don't know it ... they are creating troubles for themselves by supporting wrong leaders.

Watching the struggle over Medicaid (I use and need). A conservative leader admits ... this will cause millions to lose their medical coverage. This will force millions to use the emergency room as their medical needs. 

The poor will flood the emergency rooms -- which costs three times the regular cost. Then hospitals won't be able to collect $$$ for all these emergency visits, and this will cause many hospitals all over the USA ... to go bankrupted. And that is the plan!

Let us bankrupt the hospitals. This is what most of the poor voted for, voted to have their lives made more problems ... lose their medical coverage, and bankrupt their own local hospital. The same as ISKCON! Promoting leaders who make life into more problems for ISKCON and its down trodden congregation. Amazing !!! how people will fight tooth and nail, making leaders who will destroy them. 

It is a blessing in disguise. We do not need violent prisoners to become fanatics of these GBC gurus. Look at what happens when they get violent criminal thugs as disciples. This could be a good thing. Maybe Krishna does not want violent criminal thugs as His followers, they just give Him a bad name, and harm the sincere vaishnavas.

Against false spirituality: why Madhusevita Prabhu and his ISKCON run are not representing the true path of bhakti?

In the Italian landscape of spiritual and holistic disciplines, it is increasingly necessary to distinguish between genuine inner research and religious institutions that, although proclaiming themselves guardians of spirituality, embody the opposite. ISKCON in Italy, led for decades by Madhusevita Prabhu (Massimo Brioli), has become a symbol of this distortion: an organization now far from the pure spirit of bhakti, yogic practices and spiritual consciousness, and ever closer to dynamics of power, manipulation and moral opacity.

What follows is not a personal attack, but a necessary act of transparency and distinction, so that those who really seek a healthy and liberating spiritual path can avoid realities that have nothing to do with inner well-being, peace and authenticity of the spiritual path.

An opportunistic conversion?

According to the testimony of Vrindavanesvari devi dasi (Rossana Martiniello), ex-wife of Radaraman das, an accountant and a trusted man of Madhusevita, her trip to India initially had no spiritual motivation.

The failed “Sannyasa”: farce or divine intervention?

The story of his attempt to take “sannyasa” is ironically remembered by many devotees, even beyond Manica. It is said that Madhusevita already had a tailor-made wardrobe made with saffron-colored dresses. The night before the ceremony, his mentor warned the family: >>>"This is the last dinner with him!"  

But instead of spiritual pride, a family drama erupted: the wife, Ali Krishna, and son Nitai broke down in tears. The mentor, forced to step back, cancelled the ceremony: "He wasn't ready". A tragic episode that, even today, is told abroad as one of the most surreal stories of the movement. Even for this part there is the testimony of Vrindavanesvari with relatives attached.

Tax evasion and fake headings

According to those who know him well, their aim was to avoid kidnapping or checks by the Italian tax office. Madhusevita tried to use the "sannyasa" to end up being a null and void legal lieutenant and entrust everything to his wife, thus evading the tax charges. The ceremony skipped, but the file still worked. In Italy, the tax office can carry out checks and seizures even retroactively: a very unspiritual behavior for those who preach righteousness. Investigations are currently underway, both at the official and unofficial level.

The case of porn movies in the temple

One of the most embarrassing accusations dates back to 1993: Madhusevita was found in possession of pornographic material inside the temple. Rosalba Rukmini Ramana, in her public post, tells that these were real pedopornographic films, and that she was so shocked by each other that she left ISKCON. Her testimony also cites Atmavidya Das, who allegedly showed her a scandalous newspaper where the case was discussed, causing her deep destabilization. (screenshots attached).

Confirming the dissemination of this episode within the community, Elena Pasteur, who attends together with her daughter Bhaktin Guendalina of the temple where Madhusevita is president, stated in a voice audio that one of the nicknames still used to refer to Madhusevitha is “pornodive”, just because of this finding (attached audio video). Even for this part there is the testimony of Vrindavanesvari with relatives attached.

The Wall of Omerta

What is even more worrying is the silence with which ISKCON has protected and continues to protect Madhusevita. No internal investigation, no public distancing, no review of his role. In a context where even the smallest accusation should lead to transparency and righteousness, the attitude of the organization appears as a serious spiritual and institutional failure.

Conclusion: beyond the institution, towards true spirituality

Whoever writes, and shares this information, does not do it to destroy, but to protect what is sacred in the spiritual path. The practices of bhakti, yoga, meditation and all authentic holistic ways are aimed at freedom, awareness and inner realization. Quite the opposite of what Madhusevita stands for and the structure she has built around him: a closed pyramidal system, where those who ask questions are excluded and those who complain are silenced.

Those who seek God, whether peace or truth, deserve clarity. And he has the right not to be deceived by those who wear spiritual garments without substance.

And then from the relatives of a spiritual teacher that we mortals stick to spiritual teachers so much that we cry in their faces (as I have seen all the times that they handed over certificates to the CSB.... ) .... it had become, albeit an embarrassing reality, a tradition... for the rest.... There must be something wrong with human crowds.... Especially those who go in spirituality between "positive"... Then they are always blurred in Pornography .....

EA: You’ve come to a crucial point: the problem is not just the individual, but the entire system that forms around them. When spirituality becomes an institution, hierarchy, “private club” where relatives cry in front of those who play a part, you lose the meaning of the journey. And that is where morals degrade and finds its place: where discernment is lacking, where respect turns into idolatry, and where tradition becomes theater.

The fact that such episodes have been repeated “for years” and are minimized or transformed into folklore, as you say, is already a diagnosis. But what makes it all the most disturbing is how these crowds, who sell themselves as places of purity, manage to hide for decades behaviors totally inconsistent with what they preach. Pornography in temples is not just an individual fall: it is the result of a context that does not educate, purify and correct.

Those who really seek realize, sooner or later, that what glitters is not always gold. And if in the middle of spirituality you find rotten, it’s obligatory to say it. Because those who seek the truth don’t deserve to stumble in a lie disguised as sacredness.
