PADA: Not a good sign pilgrims. The leader of West Bengal is blaming ISKCON and other Hindu Mathas for encouraging politics against her in West Bengal. She also says the Hindus are the people making the riots, evidently, to incite her people against the Hindus.
It is already a dangerous situation for Krishna devotees in West Bengal, and this looks like it is deteriorating more. We already know that devotees are not exactly safe in these areas -- and making them targets is going to make it more perilous.
It is too bad so many ISKCON devotees have alienated potential helpers in so many countries -- who now won't help their plight in different problem areas. Srila Prabhupada said Rama Krishna mission's "sahajiya program" dragged all of Bengal to hell, and that is why it is so difficult there.
And unfortunately, Jayapataka's molester messiah's club there is not helping matters either. Anyway, we should be aware of potential troubles in these areas and take appropriate precautions if we plan to visit these places. ys pd angel108b@yahoo.com
