Lokasaranga Departs / Living Guru's Baffling Comment 11/13/24

HH Lokasaranga Maharaja just disappeared on Kartik shukla Ekadashi--Devotthana--and at Radha Kunda where he spent years and years chanting the Holy Names day in and day out. Pray that we can follow in his holy footsteps in some future life.

Meet Shri Lokasaranga dasa aka His Holiness Bhakti Prabhat Maharaja. That's him with the long beard, pictured next to the legendary Guru Kripa dasa. His Holiness Bhakti Prabhat has been living in a hut at Radha Kund for many decades, He sleeps and eats little, and spends all day chanting Hare Krishna japa. This has been his schedule since the 1970s.

One devotee just posted that many years back Lokasaranga Prabhup cooked an ecstatic feast for a group of devotees that was out of this world, Yet he did not take a bite due to being fearful of actually enjoying the taste.

Of all of my Godbrothers, he is the one I would call a true Rupanuga., a real followers of the 6 Goswamis. If you are going to Vrindavana, see if you can meet him and try to find some seva you can perform for him, That will not be easy since he naturally refuses any service., Just keep trying.

We are less than particles of dust at his lotus feet.

I only met him once,. and that was just for a few moments around 1983. He was walking on the streets of Loi Bazar in Vrindavana. I was so impressed by his humility I remember him to this day.

'sādhu-saṅga', 'sādhu-saṅga'--sarva-śāstre kaya
lava-mātra sādhu-saṅge sarva-siddhi haya

"The verdict of all revealed scriptures is that by even a moment's association with a pure devotee, one can attain all success.

PADA: A few devotees told me they met Lokasaranga at Radha Kunda and he was favorable to our idea of making Srila Prabhupada the current acharya. So evidently, he was a type of Prabhupadanuga. But he was not really actively preaching about that, and I was told to keep his name out of this. 

One thing that has mystified me personally for so many years is -- when we said there are MAJOR problems that need to be fixed in ISKCON -- many times -- or all most all of the time -- most devotees would respond with "I can't get involved, I have to chant my rounds." 

OK sounds like a good plan -- except -- we are chanting our rounds to ask Krishna to give us service. Suppose the service Krishna wanted us to do is -- to make sure deviants and pedos are not sitting in our guru's temple on giant Vyasa seats. And they are being covered with flower garlands, while they are creating a program of banning, beating, molesting, suing and assassinating dissenters, thereby making a huge public media scandal in all the world's news medias. 

And in sum, these false gurus are orchestrating -- a mass child mistreatment process for the children, and numerous other crimes, while we are all sitting around doing essentially nothing -- except chanting to ask God for service -- while all these crimes are going on left, right and center. We are asking Krishna to give us some service, but we are not doing the service that is most needed. 

OK well never mind, who cares. We will leave that "service" to no one, and let ISKCON go to hell in a hand basket, and let our guru's books be hatchet job edited etc. and just chant to -- ask God for service. What service? Wait? Isn't that supposed to be our service, to keep ISKCON free of deviants and deviations, and imperiling Krishna's little children? 

Yep, I just don't get it. The ship is sinking, and people are sitting in deck chairs as the water starts to flow around them on their deck seats -- and instead of taking action -- they are sitting around doing -- just about nothing. They are asking God to give them service -- when they should be making a bucket brigade to bail out the sinking ship, and be emergency manning the bilge pumps, to save the ship from sinking. Of course many of them engaged in the service of tripping me up when I was trying to bucket out the water. 

God please give me service! Ummm, but the service we are supposed to be doing, is not being done. And so, the ship sinks, and many people on the ship -- like the children -- are going under -- while these "chanting" folks sit around asking God to give them service, but maybe God already gave them service, and they failed to do it. And thus, the responsibility for allowing or enabling the ship's sinking is -- on their karma's record book. 

Of couse then we have the Sanat / Mukunda / Prahlad / HKC Jaipur / Mathura Pati guys "oh no Puranjan is upsetting our favorite anal reconstructive surgery epidemic messiah's club because, he is not sitting around with us and chanting his rounds, while we are watching the ship sink, and the children on the ship getting drowned. Why should we save children when we can ask God for service. And our service is? To harass and STOP anyone who IS saving the children." 

Umm, sorry, if we pray for service, and do not do the service when it comes up on the horizon, then we have failed to understand why we were chanting for service in the first place. God give me service! But don't expect me to do any actual service. Yep, baffling.

Having said all that, we wish this soul God speed towards Krishna. He is done with all the issues and problems here and he has moved on. We wish him well. Hopefully, all that chanting will get him engaged in service to Krishna.

Only by direct association

"There is two type of sound. One is material sound and the other is spiritual sound (sabda brahman). What sadhu speaks is not material sound. Also what Bhagavan speaks is not material sound. Sabda brahman is Krsna in the form of sound. So we should hear sabda brahman. But it is not the same to hear it by some media (Dvd, tape recorder, youtube...) or hearing directly.

...Guru mukha padma vakya, cittete koriya aikya...- my only desire is to hear the words emanating from the mouth of the spiritual master. Sadhu gives mercy by three things: by his glance, by his speech and by his heartly blessings, but you can get them only in the direct presence. Gurudev used to say: `Black box (tape recorder) will cheat you!` The meaning is that you can get the knowledge by them, but not the deep inside feeling. That you can get only by the direct sanga (association)."

PADA: I see this all the time with the Gaudiya Matha, Narayan Maharaja, Gaura Govinda et al. folks. We cannot just read Prabhupada's books and hear his tapes, we need to hear from "the living person." 

Great. And the living persons are the people Narayan Maharaja supported like Tamal Krishna swami, founder father of the illicit sex with men, women and children messiah's club. We need to listen to the founders and cheer leaders of the Andy Warhol and Timothy Leary guru sampradaya process, and not listen to the pure devotee? Baffling. ys pd
