Food For Life in Poland
Today we wake up with snow and it wasn’t surprising as how cold it is. It’s hard for those waiting to cross the border as they may be waiting 1-2 days so we don’t have right to complain. Situation is bad but local police, firefighters, army and everyone here is so helpful and supportive towards refugees helping them in any possible way. Many fires are burning in a bins to keep us warm and when Dvijavara asked to buy wood from local man he refused to accept payment and brought them to us for free, that’s how things this days work here. We had two French volunteers helping us to distribute prasadam as we set up second distribution place closer to the very entrance where first refugees come as they enter in to Poland. Many are desperate for hot food as some of them didn’t eat for day or two. Although it was bit less people than yesterday it’s t still very intense.
