[PADA: And we all know what happened, instead of keeping these properties the GBC is instead spending millions suing the ritviks. So there is "no money left" to keep these sacred properties. Of course the GBC's "sum total of the demigods gurus" lost 518 Frederick St. here in San Francisco a long time ago, its now a laundry mat, and so -- there is no temple in San Francisco at all. ys pd]

Rukmini-Devi Dasi Johnson -- The article I read said very clearly that this had not happened yet and that it was to make devotees aware of the possibility of what could happen if there were no donations. I don't like this method of instilling guilt. There should just be very clear requests for donations. Many devotees are reading the headline only and thinking the lose has already happened.
ReplyDeleteOK, but the reason this temple and so many other temples are in danger of financial collapse, and a number of temples already colapsed, is that the funds meant to maintain these temples are being siphoned off for the guru bid-nesses. That is the main issue here, why are we trying to get people to donate a few bucks to their temple when they are using millions of the ISKCON funds for nefarious purposes? ys pd
ReplyDeleteThat's right! Don't give these rascals a penny until they start following Srila Prabhupada's crystal-clear prescription for future initiations within ISKCON: "Ritvik henceforward!" (paraphrased)
ReplyDeleteThey are in New York City where there is no shortage of money. Why doesn't one of them simply get a karmi job to pay the rent as was the case when the 26 2nd Ave. temple first opened back in 1966? Srila Prabhupada was always very, very pleased with this type of service to Krishna.
